This is one of those rare instances when the developers actually listen to the players. Jack Frost 2 is a greatly improved version of Jack Frost. There are enough cards for almost every level. Still some improvement needed but 95% of the levels I felt the cards given were quite adequate. Also the gameplay is fun. It requires some strategy to figure out which cards are dead and which cards you need . Sometimes the boards can be quite challenging. This is not your ordinary solitaire.
At first glance this seems like an easy child game. It is not. It is more difficult than it seems. It does not have the power-ups we are all used to just in game power-ups which help a little but not a lot. Yes it is Christmas themed. Who cares? It is the game play I care about. And this is a good game to play.
Like so many other mosiac games this one is lacking a lot when it comes to mosaics. Almost from the beginning you are into large 20x20 grids. Too many cannot be solved without hints. The attempt at uniqueness with the puzzle pieces falls flat. As compared to the gold standard of mosaic games- Fantasy Mosaics- this one barely gets a 2 rating.
I have always bought this series for the 8-12 year olds but this one had so many scenes that were overloaded that they had a hard time finding the objects. Even with my help we gave up on the last jigsaw puzzle. It is a kids fun game. Try to keep it at kid level.
I enjoyed this game a lot. I think it should have gotten better reviews. Yes, you may have to use a power up now and then but I am on level 40 and have only needed one. You do have to switch between colors often to get that one space that allows you to get one space in another color but isn't that what griddlers is all about?
The puzzles were well done. 98% could be solved with logic. The developer did seem to be very fond of the checkerboard, that got old. The other aspects of the game were lacking a lot. The only way to go to the village to build a new structure was to exit the game and return at which time the village tab would show. There are no power ups, just a very stingy bit of hints. Often, I would have to click on a color multiple times before it would switch. Little things? Yes, but annoying. Needs to be improved before I would say buy it.
I believe this was made by the same developer who made Worlds Greatest Places Mosaics 1 and 2. Everything is the same except for the actual pictures. By that I mean the same issues, the same glitches, same backgrounds, lol even the same cursor...... Did this developer even read the reviews for the first Worlds Greatest Places 1 reviews? Was there any effort to improve? No there was not. As a games developer you want to sell games. You have to read the reviews and constantly change the game to respond to the negatives. it seems like this developer cannot be bothered to try to improve.
I very much enjoyed the levels with shapes. I wish this developer would create a game that only has shape mosaics. The three color level and the one color levels are so last year, or it is the year before that or even before that? Swap is mostly just boring. So out of every 15 levels you get three shape games. Got to suffer through 12 boring games. No way to skip them, I tried. I can't really recommend this game. Three good games out of every fifteen is not worth spending your money on.
Every round is basically the same as the round before. And I never did find how you got to the zen mode where you played relaxed. I did play for the whole free hour and it was just never an option.
From the makers of so many great games, Laruaville, Cursed House, Floria, Spellarium 1 comes another fun game. I do hope these developers continue to create games. The only thing wrong is- could you change the bug? The ladybug is perhaps one of the most harmless and helpful of bugs. Maybe turn her into a spider or a scorpion or anything but an innocent little ladybug.
