Absolutely love the Eipix games and this is a great new series. Really neat how it is based off a real story about a pirates lost treasure. Graphics are stunning and really make you feel like you are on a tropical island. HO scenes are great and having the option of playing match 3 instead is great for a little change here and there. You definitely need to pay attention to what you pick up as many of the objects you find, need to be combined in order to actually be able to use them. The achievements add some fun as you try to find the map pieces in each location and gain other achievements for speed and accuracy. The bonus story at the end is a great added bonus.

The woman who controls spring has been kidnapped and now the woman who controls winter is making chaos and creating the entire land a winter wonderland, will spring ever come again? Nothing new with the storyline, you are the chosen one destined to end the reign of the evil queen and rescue her enemy who she has trapped in her castle. Fairly easy to figure out where to go and what to do. Longer than expected but was still fairly short, with each chapter having maximum a dozen scenes to explore and interact with characters. My biggest pet peeve was the spring brush, it was difficult determining where to use it and the animation of sunflowers and a rainbow that popped up after using it started to annoy me along with the bad audio clips that went along with it. Had those two things been better or even non-existent, then I would have enjoyed the game a lot more.

At first I was a little worried as it wasn't long before you found the prince's love and had seen that she was indeed the one who is to marry him. But then an evil witch showed up and changed everything by kidnapping the girl and taking her to a faraway castle. The HO scenes were standard, nothing that really made them stand out. The big issue for me was the map, it was vague in telling you what you need to do. Multiple times I needed to use the hint as looking at the map didn't indicate new task to be done and you had to zoom into each section to be able to see which locations still had objectives that needed to be completed. Some of the characters you met and locations you had to travel to seemed out of place for where the story was going, they didn't add much and almost made things more complicated. Interesting mystical creatures but if you could have done more with them than just one little task, it would have been better. An interesting take on a classic tale, but would have loved it if they took it a step further.

You're on vacation in Italy when your editor tells you to go to Venice to cover the theft of an artifact from a museum by "La Volpe," an infamous thief. When you get there, he comes to you and claims his innocence. Your notoriety from Linden Shades has caught his attention and he looks to you to find out who is stealing under his name. Is he being framed, or is it part of a plan to help him get away with it? Now you must travel across Venice uncovering secret clues he has left you and work with a detective to try to find the truth behind the theft. But who can you trust? Could someone who is helping you be the real thief or are they wanting to help clear La Volpe's name? Love the graphics and how they use real people in their cutscenes. Voice overs are excellent and it's great having the dialogue on the bottom of the screen so you can just read and move on without hearing the whole conversation, but when voice overs are done as well as they have been here, why would you want to skip them. HO scenes were traditional with some of them changing locations as you complete them, preventing you from being able to easily random click and complete them. Love the CE achievements you could get, with the hidden letters, foxes, tourist pages and morphing objects in each location. Definitely was a great added challenge and the different achievements you could get motivated you to complete HO scenes and mini games quickly and efficiently. The bonus chapter at the end didn't add much to the story but it was interesting that there was more going on than what had been thought. Fun game, the added bonuses are worth getting the CE.
I am a huge fan of the other final cut games so I was hoping this would be the same high quality game as the first three. I was definitely right. Not as many cut scenes in this one which was partially disappointing as they really add to the story line but it also meant you could work through the game sooner. Do enjoy having the option to play match 3 instead of HO scenes, had to use it a couple times because I got so confused. Glad it was not just regular HO scenes but ones where you have to find multiples of the same object or were given clues/riddles and had to figure them out. Overall great game.

It seems with each game, the puzzles start off harder and harder which is great for someone who has played lots of these puzzles before and doesn't always want to be stuck playing very easy levels at the beginning. The new challenge with this one is you have different colours you have to fill in so it reminds me a lot of World Mosaic Chroma without all the powerups. If you like the challenge of World Mosaic Chroma but don't want to spend the money on getting powerups and hints then this game is for you. It was nice to do more than just decorating a garden for the little penguin, you were helping him find a mate (Awwwww!!!!). Background music wasn't too bad, I personally have to turn off the sound effects to concentrate but for some it works well. Onto the next one.
Having read the book and seen one version of the movie, I didn't need to play long before deciding to buy. Definitely glad i did. The unique story about the daughter of Christine being trapped in the Opera house by the phantom since she brings back many old memories adds to the obsessiveness and darkness of the character. HO scenes are challenging and the screen freezes if you make too many mistakes but the mini games are relatively easy. Wish the map gave you indications where HO scenes were as there was a lot of back and forth and I needed to use the walkthrough a couple times to try to find them. Overall excellent game.
It's from the same developers that made the Final Cut series so you get the same awesome quality of game. Love how they use actual people in the cut scenes to help make it a more realistically set game. HO scenes were fairly straight forward, liked how there was an interactive puzzle in each one. CE are sometimes a hit and miss on the bonuses available for them, but this is one where it is worth it to get the CE. You get an extra bonus chapter to play which is set after you've solved the mystery and it gives you some background info on the mystery surrounding Linden Shades. Also it was great being able to see all the cut scenes and listen to the different music clips which suited the locations and HO scenes perfectly. Neat also having photos from the photo shoots for some of the cut scenes and also the little behind the scenes clip. Awesome game.
