If you like lots of HO scenes, this is a good game for you. Even though there was no map to help guide you, there wasn't a lot of going back and forth which helps make it seem like you're actually progressing in the game. Fairly easy scenes, but some objects are hidden within cupboards, drawers etc so they did require some attention to detail to pick them out. Wish those ones were in a different colour so you knew to look out for something to do to get them. Mini games were also fairly easy, but some could have used better instructions. Disappointed it was so short, finished over half of it just during the demo so it's worth while waiting until you have a free game coupon to use on it. As it is one of the first games in the series it is lacking the voiceovers of the later ones which does take a little bit away from the storyline. Even if you've already played the other games in the series, recommended getting this one to add to the collection.

You're enjoying retirement when you receive a letter asking for your help regarding the murder of young women in Paris who look to be completely dehydrated. How is this possible? Curious to figure out what's going, you leap at the chance to be detective once again. Excellent visuals allow you to really believe you are in Paris during a cholera outbreak. Cool add on having the little chemistry scent where you can store different scents and then combine them to create chemicals to help you find out who the murder is and how they can be stopped before fulfilling their master plan. Good seamless gameplay, but at times it seemed easy and there was a lot of back and forth.
This game is set in either late fifties or early sixties so it has a really great vibe at the start when you're at a giant film festival will all the hottest celebrities. It carries through the game as the scenes are excellently done and look so realistic. HO scenes are a good combination of the traditional word list but with also a mix of silhouette and puzzles ones as well. Great game.
A town of people suddenly become skeletons with no souls. Spooky. Started off a little difficult as it was hard to figure out what to do and the hint wasn't at times very helpful, giving you the same information over and over even when you did everything you were able to. But things slowly started to work more smoothly and it became enjoyable. Interesting storyline. Decent game.
Thought it was great going back to the founding of the Smithsonian Castle and exploring the civil war history. Visuals and audio are once again top notch as with all the other Hidden Expedition games, and love the fact cards about the places you see and the people you meet. Highly recommend.
If you're looking for a good puzzle game that really makes you use your brain, this is a good one for you. Beginning levels were super easy and then they quickly got more challenging. Wish the colors were better as it was difficult on some of the bigger puzzles to determine if a square was a "hit" or a "miss." The numbers could have also been larger to make it easier to determine how many square in each group. Decent game
If you haven't played the original Youda Survivor, I recommend playing it although you don't need it to understand the storyline in this one. Definitely a lot more challenging than the first one and it seemed there were lots more levels as well. At times it seemed to drag out given the amount of tasks to complete in each level but it forced you to better strategize. Overall a pretty good game.
Unlike most HO games, this one didn't have as many true HO scenes with lists but rather finding pieces to create an object. Nice change but found they were too easy at points. Same with the mini games, for the most part were pretty easy. Nice and easy storyline to follow and there weren't many times I had to use the map to figure out where to go. Really liked this even darker version of the classic fairy tale (recommend reading original Brothers Grimm version).
A man in a mask is stealing the beauty of wealthy merchants in Rome through pieces of jewelry that take away their most beautiful feature. At first you think its a guy jealous because over some girl he can't have but as the story progresses, you realize that he had the girl but lost her so it makes you sympathize with him. At times it was a little difficult to determine what to do as the things you were able to interact with were not clear and the response to the cursor movement was at times slow. Voice overs started good, but slowly declined in quality as what was being said didn't line up with mouth movements. The ermine pet was a cute touch.
