Once again Eipix creates a great pirate type game. A nobleman has died and the governor has called on you to investigate. Before the man died, he was paranoid after receiving a figure of Nemesis, the goddess of revenge. Who felt betrayed, and was he the only target or are more people in danger. The music and graphics were excellent in providing a Victorian Era environment. Added bonuses were great, but bonus story lacked a little. The achievements in itself is a great reason to spend the extra money for the CE.
I recommend this game!

After your success with the Veronica West investigation, you are called in to help solve the murder of Reginald Greer a wealthy business man who had invited his closest family members and friends for a murder whodunit party. Little did he know that instead of just playing the victim, he is the victim. An excellent sequel, just as good as the first.

Your mission should you choose to accept it, track down and obtain pieces to recreate the Crown of Solomon. It will not be easy and it will be dangerous, are you up to the task. Like the other Hidden Expedition games, audio and visuals are top notch. Love how realistic the characters are (one of my favourite things about Eipix). HO scenes are great. Enjoy the info cards that you're able to find to learn more about people, legends etc. Great that's it fun and
a little informative.

So this game is second in the series (the first being Death at Fairing Point), however you do not have to play it before this one. You have traveled to Italy to give a lecture on literature and you are visited by a ghost named Eva who died years earlier. It is up to you to solve the mystery and help her reunite with her lost lover. Just like the first one, the visuals and audio are great and the HO scenes aren't overly difficult. Although you typically only get achievements in CE, it was nice having the little achievements that you're able to get in the SE. Only wish there was a map to help guide you, at times it was difficult to determine what to do next as something in a location could be added after you have visited there and one would have no idea it's there. Overall great game.

I'm not one that's generally interested in Native American history, but after playing the trial I figured I would give it a shot. Similar in length to the other Myths of the World with the same great visuals and audio. As neat as it was having you learn this ancient story, I wish there was more history to it than just the little storyline. If they had been able to incorporate more of the culture and traditions into it, it would have been better.

So the Princess of the Sky Kingdom is trapped in a snowglobe and is being held hostage by a ice knight. No surprise you play as her lover trying to get her back. Smooth gameplay with some good music. Liked having the occasional HO scene where you had to find pieces to recreate something rather than just the list of items. Mini games for the most part were straight forward, some were a little more complex and required a little more thinking, and some I had to skip. The snowflake achievement was great, but a little difficult to achieve as they were extremely small in some scenes but it adds to the challenge of the game, the same goes for the morphing object is a bunch of HO scenes. Like the other Dark Strokes game, the bonus was good in giving some insight into what caused the antagonist to become the villain. You don't have to play the other Dark Strokes game to understand this one as both are meant to stand alone, but I recommend getting it.

Ethan and Claire are on their way to see his father when their train crashes and Claire is taken away by a group called the Faceless Ones. As you try to find her, you discover a secret that could make you lose both her and your father forever. Is it a secret that will make you question everything you ever thought you knew about them or are they just victims of an unfortunate circumstance. Who is responsible and and what has driven them to take such great lengths to get revenge? The bonus story is great in understanding how the one character became the person they are and although it isn't necessary it is great for some extra content.

So you're supposed to meet your sister after her performance but she never shows. What happened? You go into the theatre and find out that the ghost of the composer who died in a fire 30 years earlier has taken her hostage as revenge for losing his true love who was a ballet dancer before she too perished. Very similar to the Phantom of the Opera however you have to uncover the details of the original love story to bring peace to the ghosts and save your sister.

You are called in to investigate the death of Veronica West, a rising star. It looks like she committed suicide, but did she or was she murdered. It is up to you to talk to everyone else on the island and discover their darkest secrets and uncover the truth behind her tragic death. It was a great touch having you interact with the characters to determine if what they were saying was the truth of lie and it really added to the detective mystery storyline. The storyboard was extremely helpful in determine everyone's relationships and formulating possible theories as to who is responsible and what their motives were. Can't wait to play the other Dead Reckoning games.

So this is not related to any Edgar Allan Poe story as the name implies, but you still get to work with the amazing Dupin. A neat feature with this game is that you're able to take pictures of the different locations and save them to a photo album that you are able to access anytime. Love that you're able to download them to your computer so you can easily relive the game. However I did not like where the shortcut to it was, during HO scenes it got in the way multiple times. Neat idea having the scales to help you determine the guilty party and it was a great twist to have you go through the evidence and ultimately decide who is responsible and who should pay at the end.
I recommend this game!
