I've really liked both games so far in the "Final Cut" series, and I think "Encore" is certainly one of the most enjoyable games I've purchased. I don't really see how anyone could not think this was value for money. My only comment would be that it is not what I would really call a "fun" game .... apart from the credits which are pretty funny.
I recommend this game!

I hated this game. I just gave up because of the lack of explanation regarding the puzzles. If there was a solve button I would have continued on just to finish it .... but seeing as how there wasn't one, I just deleted it. A waste of money.
I don't recommend this game.

I can perhaps understand that those who want a real "brain teaser" with well hidden objects might find this game a bit too easy, but I found this game to be excellent. Unlike with many other games I've tried, I found the clues to "make sense" and the graphics were really good. I bought this game as a "half price special" and I'm really glad I did because it was great value.
I recommend this game!

I've never watched the TV show "Castle" and this game hasn't really encouraged me to do so. Not that it is such a bad game, but I did find that the intended use of some of the items that the player picks up during the game to be a bit silly. Apart from that it wasn't too bad, and I guess if it was purchased on discount then it would be OK ... but I've played more enjoyable games. It's probably more "clue related" than HOG.
I don't recommend this game.

I enjoyed "The Book of Desires." I think it was one of the better ones I've tried lately. It wasn't particularly difficult, so if you are looking for a real "brain teaser" then perhaps this is not for you ... but if you just want good graphics and reasonable hidden objects and puzzles, then this might be good for you. The hint system is very usable if you ever get stuck ... but if you examine each scene carefully then you won't need too many hints. I bought this during "a half price sale" and for that price it was great value.
I recommend this game!

I enjoyed Film Fatale. It won't tax too many brain cells, but it was pretty good. If you are looking for a game that's not too dark and not full of overly difficult puzzles, or really hard to find hidden objects, then give this a try.
I recommend this game!

I read some of the other reviews before buying this game (MCF Madame Fate) and unfortunately I was sucked in by them. I wanted a fun game that was neither too dark or too difficult. I obviously picked the wrong one here because I have given up in frustration. I have played many HOG's and never given up before. Some of the hidden items are ridiculous, and the supposed "clues" are of little help. I have purchased 5 previous MCF games and enjoyed all of those, but I've wasted my money on this one. I have recently just finished both of the "Scruffs" games and they were fun and relaxing, ... but "Madame Fate" was a disaster.
I don't recommend this game.
