I'm really enjoying this latest version of Cursed House - I look forward to every new version and this one is no different. Of course, it has a different look this time around, and at first I thought it was going to be easy based on the new 'appearance' of the levels, but I was mistaken. The further in I get, the more challenging. I won't repeat previous reviews, but suffice it to say that this one, like the others, will offer countless hours of enjoyment - and of course, some frustration, but that's what makes latest installment - like the last one - so fun!
I recommend this game!

I'm really liking this game. The graphics are so crisp and clear, the games manageable and fun, the different locations a treat. While the tasks are repetitive, the music is soothing, and the combination of the types of tasks are enjoyable. It's just fun and relaxing! Hours and hours of enjoyment at a pace you set, then plenty of bonus play time as well.
I recommend this game!

I really wanted to like Lost Lands: Redemption. It does have all the things I like - great graphics, nice and l-o-n-g... but I quit about halfway through, and that's even with a bonus chapter. I think I would have loved it if it weren't for how Jim - her son was portrayed... and his voice! I'm sorry, I play for entertainment and to relax, not to hear the kid whining and complaining the entire time I played. His attitude really got to me, so much so that I couldn't even make myself continue playing. Too bad, really, because this could have been great.
I don't recommend this game.

Mystery Trackers is one of my favorite series, but The Secret of Watch Hill was a disappointment. While the artwork was impressive, the game was too short, so I'm glad I didn't opt for this in a Collector's Edition. The plot could have been more involved, and as it was I found myself just clicking through each scene, finding things that were needed to find and use for something else. Hope the next one offers more of a challenge.
I don't recommend this game.

I liked this game - beautiful artwork and realistic scenery with natural colors throughout, which is nice rather than an excess of pinks and purples and oranges. It's a nice, long game, including the Bonus Chapter. The puzzles got a little tedious for me, eating up time, so I did skip a few so I could continue with the journey. The storyline had a nice hint of some of the cultural aspects of India, which I also enjoyed. Overall, a good game that utilized good voice-overs and lip-syncing with the animals, plus some exciting adventures along the way to completion.
I recommend this game!

I liked this Mystery Case Files game. I've played most of them and this one was just plain fun. LOTS of puzzles, and I skipped some just because I wanted to keep going with the storyline. It kind of morphed from a girl in an asylum to a pirate story, but I liked the pirate story for the good part of the second half of the game, plus the Bonus chapter. Good artwork, not a plethora of neon colors like some games, and had good voices, interesting scenes, and some good and imaginative HOS.
I recommend this game!

I very much liked this game - it was nice and l-o-n-g and I spent a good handful of hours playing it. The storyline proceeded with clarity throughout, and the artwork was beyond excellent. I wasn't sure about incorporating Grimm characters into a Christmas story, but it worked nicely enough, though as another reviewer wrote, it wasn't a really Christmas-y plot, other than Rumple focused on ruining Christmas and the snow, of course.
Plenty of puzzles, interesting HO scenes, and well-paced. My favorite is the clarity and detail of the artwork, which is a pleasure in itself. If you don't mind lots of puzzles and a bit of running back and forth - and Grimm characters in your Christmas story, give this one a try.
I recommend this game!

I wait with bated breath every December for a new installment in the Christmas Wonderland series, and am halfway through #10 that arrived this morning. Always fun, always relaxing (that music!), and of course, the beautiful artwork. Sure, some of the background scenes are taken from the Vacation Adventures series, some from past CW versions, but even so, they're always fun to play. Thank you, Casual Arts, for another holiday installment of Christmas Wonderland... Now get busy on the next version of Vacation Adventures or a new Halloween for 2020! :-)
I recommend this game!

First, the good points. I very much enjoyed the beauty of the game and the interesting characters. Other than that (after playing through the entire game) I wasn't impressed. My main peeve was that it didn't contain a map and you constantly have to go back and forth, back and forth, to get anywhere. The time jumps were often confusing and I had little clue as to why a certain obstacle or challenge was in my way to progress forward. This game had a lot of puzzles - too many for my liking, and many without clear instructions. If the storyline was a bit clearer and had a map that allowed me to go where there were actions to be performed, I would have liked it much better. As it was, I way overused the Hint button.
I don't recommend this game.

I played this main game and the bonus games in the Collector's Edition for hours, enjoying most of it. This doc is really twisted! Won't go into storyline details as it's been done, but I will say that I thought the artwork and creativity that went into this game was amazing - and appreciated. The storyline flowed fairly well, but it was the choices that the player can make that had me smiling throughout. Now I have to go back and play it again, making the opposite choices I did previously to see what happens.
I recommend this game!
