A beautifully crafted game, with unique design and game features. A lot of the things around you are clickable; a bush in the form of a rabit you can click and transform into a turtle... A magical world indeed. To me, this one deserves a 4,999 rating and the only reason why it's not a completely perfect HOG, is because of many of its puzzles that are at the same time a bit difficult but also boring...
I recommend this game!

Wow, that was a first: The main game was pretty awesome but the bonus game was even better, with a story unfolding that gad a good tempo and cohesion. Only downside for me: in the mini HOG scenes, when you had to combine objects, the cursor didn't change into an active hand or something, so it ws impossible to know which two (or second) item to combine the first into. Pitty. And that "stole" the 5 star for me.
I recommend this game!

Plain and simple isn't it? Not quite. This is a beautiful game, that has a unique cinematic rhythm and way that it unravels and climaxes its story. Every scene is very realistically presented and you feel part of the story and the emotions running. Will you survive? Will you manage to save the kid? Only downside for me, are the bit messy mini HOG puzzles that could be more easy and clean designed, to the eye. Even the music works! So the only reason I give this one a 4 instead of a 5 star rating, is because of its sloppy and vague mini HOGs.
I recommend this game!

A very well designed game, both from the scope of graphics as well as gaming experience-wise. Fast-paced, with some new thought mini HOGs, an interesting story that holds a twist for the gamer and an evenly pleasant extra chapter. Only downside, its somewhat short duration.
I recommend this game!

So, I don't this game is lacking anything at all, to be honest! It's really-really fun to play, it makes use of all the potential items you have to gather and combine, it has a slightly different take on the mini HOGs and to top it all, its story is actually well thought out and draws you in.
I wouldn't mind having a longer bonus story to complete, duration-wise, but all in all, this was truly FUN and the game-play reminded me kinda of a adventure game, rather than "just" a HOG one.
I recommend this game!

Nothing really exciting about this one. It's a bit sloppy, poor in the game design overall and the much disappointing factor; its short duration. Even the bonus game, that to me was more fun to play that the main... course, consisted of 3-4 scenes and that's it. Well, surely, that's not value for money, for one thing!
I don't recommend this game.

Well, I give this version of Dark Parables an excellent rating, only because the team's atmospheric aesthetics and artwork is just superb, every time. But, in this particularly game, I found weaknesses and had a major disappointment in some factors: First of all, the rhythm of the gameplay was slow. Like a hiccup. I didn't flow as it should. Secondly, this serious introduced to me a completely different take on morphing objects. You had to really pay attention to the story to gather the morphing "shards", complete every chapter and enjoy the narration. Not in this version: I couldn't find nearly any of the morphing objects, it ruined all the relaxing and fun since I had to look around and really, stop the game, just staring at the screen, and at the end what I did found was, well, unidentified pieces, like UFOs... Oh and another thing: why the heck were the description of the artifacts in your inventory shown, not above its respected icon, but in the middle, i.e. instead of the word "Inventory"? So confusing and (bad) unorthodox. So, if you can overcome the fact than you'll be seeing much less different scenes and scenery than usual and that you probably won't find all or even half the morphing objects, then surely you'll love this, as per usual!
I recommend this game!

Well, this truly is just an average game, that's doesn't make the effort to stand out. I mean, the artwork is better than average, true, but the "riddles" themselves are lacking imagination or effort. Who wants, when in the mini-HOG scenes, to find according to the words the respected objects and then find the EXACT SAME (!) objects, only now following the shapes and not the descriptions... I mean... child-like (no offense to children!). Who wants to run around looking for a pair of clock-hands that you wouldn't find even if you were holding a flashlight?! Some of the puzzles, like the skull "riddle" is just absurd. I mean trying to rotate 4 skulls, without a hint or knowing what the correct end position is?! Are you serious? And the story itself is kinda simplistic. And the dialogues too.
I don't recommend this game.

Well, this one is a riddle, really. To be totally honest with you, it's not easy, to play or to even enjoy. First of all, in every scene that your female character speaks, you must press the next button, wait until she finishes, wait until the perfume bottle shows up and then continue your course. Oh, and did I tell you? The characters don't actually talk, just move their lips and no sound is heard. That's so... old school? Not even that. But, in its defense, this HOG has 59 different scenes in total (I mean wow!) to explore, a map that's very-very helpful and its actual gameplay makes scenes and sucks you in. So that's a huge plus. But, if you wanna play an easy-in-the eye game, then skip this one. But, I suggest you give it a go! (or two).
I recommend this game!

Honestly, I didn't like this episode of "Haunted Legends". I mean, yes, the art work is obviously beautiful like every time, but game play-wise, it disappointed me. For me, this episode, have had the stupidest puzzles/riddles of all times. I mean, who wants a puzzle, for which the only thing you have to "do", is rearrange the daisies (!), while picking up blue or yellow petals and putting them on the other side. No brainer! Or, if you *spoiler alert* have to shake the chisel, so the rust falls off. I mean... seriously?! Not only this "Haunted Legends" had many non-puzzle puzzles, but also it was so simplistically put together, that made you feel stupid playing it... A total contrast to the superb art work. What a pity... To me, it well deserves 3 1/2 stars!
I don't recommend this game.
