This game was lots of fun and so dang cute! I bought it thinking a break from my normal brain-taxing ones would be a good thing. Something to just relax and have a jolly good time with. It was certainly entertaining. The missing thing was unique for sure and hunting for it was an exercise in silliness. I loved it all ! The HOs, much to my surprise, were quite difficult, so that tweeked my relaxing a bit (lol). The scenes were "overflowing" with items and most of them were very small, all very well hidden with few exceptions. I even resorted to my magnifying glass at times. But if a HOG is not challenging, it spoils my fun and there is no point to even playing. The HOs and lists were different than the usual and at the beginning of each scene a cluster of bubbles would appear and when you click on it Steve is there with your first task. The bubbles sometimes appear twice in a scene. Also, remember to find the cigar in each scene, there are 36 total. If you miss any you can backtrack to collect them. There are no game modes and no penalty for clicking to your heart's content on anything and everything. Loved the clever mini games. My two faves were trapping the culprit in the cage and finding the right colored potion to uncover the painted-over hidden masterpiece. Great little game that I really think you will enjoy, whatever your age. The length is just right. NOTE: If you experience a slight delay in your found items leaving the scene after you click on them, no need to worry. My computer or the game? Don't know, but it was no problem for me. Clicking on them again doesn't seem to cause complications either, if you feel antsy about it. God bless!

I expected more from this game than what was delivered. It started off with the creepy old man sounding sinister to the bone and I was looking forward to chasing him down and solving a challenging mystery. However, it was just an abundance of HOs. There were clues to collect and puzzle pieces to find, that helped us to finally nab the sicko. He was daring us to find him by leaving his own clues for us to follow while he killed the beautiful girls. It was a fun game with all the hidden objects to find and clues to assemble to catch the evil culprit. I just wasn't pleased with the lack of challenge and uneventful ending. Still, I do recommend the game.
The ghosts and I returned the moon to the sky after lots of fun and work! I loved this game from start to finish and it was quite long, too. Not just a match 3 game, it also contained HOs, solitaire and mahjong, plus it was a city builder. The graphics were simply the best, super adorable and so colorful! The games were easy which was appropriate for such a sweet game. Children and adults will have a really fun time returning the moon, which fell into Laruaville and lost its light and had to be repaired. The sound effects in the match 3s were excellent and different. Collecting the coins was necessary to rebuild the town and ship harbor and only 1 point per coin, the same as in the other games. Keep an eye out in the sky and landscape throughout the game, as occasionally faintly colored sparkles will be floating above a bush or structure, or just in one little part of the sky. Click on them to receive 3 coins. There is a large left and right arrow on each side of your scene. If you place your cursor next to it and remove your hand from mouse, it will slowly scan across the screen so you can view everything. The scan moves quickly if cursor is ON the arrow (just a fun little extra). The items in the HOGs were very cleverly hidden and great job at blending into the scenery. Made it more challenging. I am about to begin Laruaville 3 and expect just as much fun. My favorite thing is watching the city grow as it is being rebuilt. Everything was so colorful, interesting and detail-oriented. Forgot to mention: click on the little ghosts to hear a funny little sound. I cannot imagine anyone not having fun with this game, no matter what your skill level. Even the hard core gamers should relax and enjoy this one (lol)! By the way there are timed and relaxed modes for playing. Absolutely, I recommend this game!!
This was a very good game in every way for me! Excellent, clear graphics, very colorful made it even more appealing. The storyline was solid and everything made sense, and led to solving the murder of the doctor. I was curious to learn about Ginger, the young girl who had such a profound effect on one of the characters. The hospital was creepy and one I would not want to visit for any reason. One of the patients was really creepy but mostly in an innocent, sad way. I loved the part of the game where clues are found in the crime area and we try to figure out what happened and how. Nothing bloody or gruesome here. And believe it or not...not even a princess!! Although the games offered today are beautiful artistically, and the puzzles and games are super fun, I quite frankly feel guilty playing when they are so over-the-edge dark and sinister. However, going through Big Fish withdrawal would be a pretty tough job (lol) !
Hope you enjoy The Ward. By the way it ran smoothly on my Windows 7, was a very good length and had a decent ending!
Matchmaker games have always been disappointing. But Cursed Bride in the title made me try once again. What a surprise! This was just a wonderfully fun game and was so busy. The color and graphics were beautiful. The hidden object scenes were really full of items, took you back and forth to different locations. They were not easy as you might expect in a matchmaker game and the items were not girly or wedding type. I loved them! By the way, click on the angel on the desk above your steaming cup of tea for a little treat at the opening of game.
I loved everything about the game, it was very long and had a fun storyline. The story begins with a bride being stood up and the town went into a funk because of some kind of curse. So now our matchmaker moves into town and gets involved with everything and tries to solve the mystery of the curse while working on her matchmaking. The matchmaking involves lots of preparation as the successful couples approach wedding day.
Not just a matchmaker, she is also a caterer, interior decorator, event planner. Busy, busy, busy. And the detective in her has discovered a person with a grudge. Just please try this game. It is fun and contains an extra little thing to look for in the hidden objects. I highly recommend this game.
9 Clues: Serpent Creek was very entertaining. It was quite long but not to the point of being drawn out or tiring. The graphics, color and voices were excellent, There were not many HO scenes, but they were really good. Not too difficult. The game was a bit difficult for me and I needed a few hints along the way. The hints refilled quite quickly, also the journal and map were very handy. It was not frustratingly hard and was lots of fun trying to figure out what the mystery was all about. Not many snakes in the scenes and they weren't scary. I found the mayor and the sheriff to be much creepier than the snakes! The storyline kept me engrossed to the very end. And it had a good surprise ending, too.
Hopefully, my review is helpful. I don't want to lay out the whole story, with all the details. That would spoil all the fun of even playing the game. And I certainly don't want to spoil the ending for you, either.

Because of the storyline it is important to play this series in sequence: The Hookman, The Babysitter, Last Act. The Hookman starts out with some girlfriends sitting around their campfire wanting to hear a spooky story. One of the girls begins an "urban legend" tale about The Hookman. But one of the others chimes in, saying that it is a true story of a family that was murdered years ago and they all are anxious to hear about it. That's where our fun begins...
We find a young lady arriving at the cabin in the woods for a fun getaway. Her boyfriend is late, as he usually is, for everything, so she isn't yet concerned. Mom and Dad arrived earlier, but left a note on the cabin door saying they are out exploring. So now the girl is all alone and it is getting late. Creepy and baffling things begin happening. Having trouble entering the cabin at first, she finally succeeds and inside is where the creepiness escalates.
The lights don't work, that means a trip to the basement. After restoring the electricity, she sees something bad happened there. Things are torn up and broken, scattered everywhere. So, she has no clue yet as to horror she will soon be dealing with who is out there lurking in the dark, scary woods.
Now our HO fun, puzzles/games, challenges come into play. There is a lot of putting things back together, going back and forth, getting things to work again. A busy game. In my opinion it is very challenging, but not impossibly so. I imagine the experts will think it's a snap! I am intermediate, but pretty darn good at it, finally! The objects are very well hidden and not the usual way of using the found items, and the hint system is different. Difference is good, it takes away the ho-hums. You acquire hints, only 5 max at a time, by finding fireflies. You must remember to always search for them throughout the game, lest you totally run out of hints. They are quite small and blend well into the scenes, but not impossible to find. When help is needed just click on one of the bugs in your collection and it unlocks a hint. I was worried about all this at the start, but was able to get along fine with much hard thinking and few hints. Much easier really than it sounds. Actually, when I did use a hint I found another bug almost right away to replace it.
I love everything about this game. The graphics are clear, the color good, the music is grim and fitting, good storyline. All the HO scenes, puzzles, interest factor, scary moments, challenge were excellent in my opinion. I like that there is a definite sequence to playing the games. Hopefully, you will enjoy as much as I did. For me, it was money well spent.
P.S. I am 69 yrs oId, not ready yet to become a tired, bored old lady and I own approx. 500 games, maybe more. And why? you may ask, or not. Because, they make me think and challenge myself. They help keep my mind clear and strong, provide wonderful entertainment, take me to their fantasy worlds. Thanks, Big Fish, for keeping that spark in me bright and constant. Much love to you all...

If you are bored with the same old games all the time, try this one! I was smiling or laughing from start to finish. A silly, unusual story, lots of quirky characters. The graphics were comical and colorful, and each scene was delightful. The game incorporated a 3D or panoramic effect which made it more fun and it took some getting used to. Things were hiding all over the place and your ability to move the scenery and zoom in and out created a bit of a challenge, making the hidden object scenes more fun. Most of the objects were very tiny, but not impossible to find. Strangely enough, the princess was turned into a man-eating monster and it is your job to cure her...OR ELSE!! So the journey begins, taking you to far-off places. And what a good, surprise ending!! For me this game was lots of fun, I enjoyed every moment. Nothing dark or foreboding, no scares or demons, no frustrating challenges. Glad that I stepped out of the box for this one. I feel my money was well spent and cheerfully recommend it.
Even though I love playing this type of game, this one left me disappointed in the end. Was so anxious to purchase because I own all the other make-over ones...and they are really outstanding in my opinion. Manor Memoirs supposedly having over 100 levels seemed to pass very quickly and I do not play like a speed demon. Also, the choices for interior decorating were unattractive and the colors were awful. The hidden objects were fairly easy except for those items which were named quite incorrectly. Not to mention that some items were almost completely hidden under the "fancy" border around the scenes. For me the game was boring, felt too short and was just missing that special something. I absolutely love all the Gardenscapes, Farmscapes, Barn Yarn..so maybe they set a high standard which I was expecting in Manor Memoirs. But I'm sure it will appeal to others, just not enough happening in it for my taste in make-over games.
The characters in this game are so delightful with all their humorous dialogue. Without them the game would not have been as enjoyable. Many hours of fun searching, selling, rennovating. Good variety of games. However, I always had to skip several of the same game each time, due to my inability to play sudoku, connect the light beam, and avoid the jelly fish in the sand. They were too frustrating after too many attempts. The hidden objects were good in each room and there were 5 gems to collect in each one. Although I don't remember it being explained, I think the amount of gems collected overall, determined your ability to unlock a new room. Also, if you found a magazine in your search, that would help to open new upgrades to the orphanage grounds. I always collected all gems in each room, but at the end of game I was left with 8 unlocked rooms. Had to search in the same rooms over and over again, to the point where I felt I could find all the objects if I was blind in one eye and couldn't see out of the other. lol. Rebuilding the orphanage grounds was lots of fun and there were several choices of decoration for each area, each having a different cost. As your hidden objects are found, they go to the marketplace and are being sold as you play. Money is also earned from the quests you accomplish along the way. Lots to do, but very easy to get the hang of it all. Wallpapers and great music are also included. Puzzles are replayable at end of game. Much quality content here, for being just an SE version. I am sure the entire family will love playing, no matter what age you are. I have to say though, that you should think about getting Tales of Lagoona 2. It has a lot more to do and is more challenging, has more rebuilding to accomplish and is a much longer game. I liked it better!! It was nice to know my money was well spent on both of these sweet games. I was somewhat disappointed, though, that there were no little orphans to be seen anywhere! Would love to help my fishy friends rebuild another project in a third Lagoona!!
