Ok, so I downloaded the demo and everything is the same as a previous game - and I refuse to download the other ones again to figure out which one it is! Thailand, guy being abducted, the three demons, suitcase, bridge broken, monk being turned to stone while fishing or whatever...need I go on! As soon as the guy started talking I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I continued for another minute or so and predicted everything. REALLY? In my opinion - this stinks! Oh, and if the rest of the game for some reason diverts from this copy of a previous game - good luck! I have no use for a game like that. Sorry for being so strong - but this really pushed some buttons!
Return once more to the haunted grounds of Ravenhearst Manor to uncover new details about this poignant saga. What you find could very well be the final chapter of this riveting story-if you escape.

When I saw this come out I knew in a heartbeat I was going to download it- I've always loved MCF just as much as the next person, just something about the feel of their games I've always loved. The warning of it being disturbing/frightening only excited me more. So, I went and downloaded it, hoping it wasn't going to be too overrated, and I wasn't that disappointed. First off, the graphics are beautiful. I found it hard to tell the difference between real pictures and the cartoons. The atmosphere is perfect. However, I found that the creepiness and the atmosphere/graphics, were almost bigger and or better then the game play itself, that it was really mainly what the game was all about. The game plays like any other HOG, the thing thats truly incredible about the game, is the creepiness and graphics. Everything else- alright. Something I thought was a great touch though, was how the ghosts kept warning you, 'Don't go, you shouldn't of come back, we can't help you, you're in grave danger..', it only wanted me to play more to see what I was in store for. Now let me get to my main point. This game, is seriously MESSED up. There's multiple settings, doors that lead to a certain part if his life- And this guy had one god damned messed up life. The first two places you go- His childhood home and the hospital- are by far the most disturbing, and really, REALLY punch you in the gut. I don't want to ruin it for you guys who haven't played it yet, but you will not be disappointed. I will say though, it is extremely challenging at points. Some locks on the doors, are very hard to figure out, and some are nearly impossible to understand or make sense of without looking at the strategy guide, which I myself try to never do. But, what makes it worst, is that the strategy guide is only pictures, and has no explanation, so you either get it, or you have to look at a picture for what you have to specifically have to do. All in all, it was a pretty awesome game. Just wish they made the game play as good as the atmosphere and graphics, because then it would've been better.

I have finished this game and find that it was definitely too short. The game play was fine...nothing great - could have been better for a CE. What I REALLY had trouble with is the plot - I won't give it away but let's just say that this has been done at least 5 times in movies that I can think of off the top of my head. As soon as I realized that I was right about the plot details (and this was really early on) I just lost most of my interest beyond playing another ok game. If I had known that it was just a trite remake in an ok HO game, I would have waited for it to come out in normal version and used a game credit or coupon instead. I ONLY recommend the game if you have NOT guessed anything to do with the plot...kinda hard but go figure.

I haven't finished the game but am about 1/3 through and am enjoying this game. I'm glad the HOS aren't easy...you really have to look as the shadows, etc. help to obscure things - in a good way! Other negative reviews mention too much voice over, too much help, etc. - I for one don't care about voice overs and do not feel that the game telling me that I need to gather 'all the pieces' is leading me or helping me too much. While the story line is macabre, it is refreshing to have some actual scary bits thrown in!!! Can't wait to get back to playing!

I just finished the game and enjoyed it. Minigames were not overly difficult, HO areas were clear but some items hidden behind others... Just a few items I thought could have been better - you cannot revisit areas once you complete them; you are unable to complete the 'auction' part of the game if you finish the last section - in other words, once you find the last key...game over! Was it worth the price...maybe. I bought it with a game coupon so it didn't matter to me. Would I play it again - nope!

This game was an enjoyable few hours of gameplay. The puzzles were not that hard and the storyline was ok if rather juvenile. The HO scenes were dark and at times items were very difficult to find as they were in dark shadow. I did like that the story/game moved along at a good pace and there wasn't too much going back and forth for items. I am however getting tired of the idea that you just HAVE to have a shovel to move some dirt aside...or that it is ok to break one lock but just HAVE to find a key for another. I got this game with a game coupon.....not sure if I'd have bought it any other way as it was rather short. At least I finished the game...and expect a sequal to come out which I may or may not buy...depends if I have another coupon!

This is the second game in this storyline and thought it was interesting. HO scenes were good. Good level of difficulty. I don't care for voice over or really listen to the music so I won't comment. The ending was trite, but I didn't care as I enjoyed playing the game. Overall it was an enjoyeable game!

All around a really good game. I enjoyed the whole thing - and yes, played through the end. I bought the CE version and am glad I did - it's definitely worth the price for the regular version as well! Really good graphics, storyline, HO areas and puzzles...just the right mix of everything as far as I am concerned. Enjoy!

I bought this game for a few reasons - game is fast, balls moves well, scenes are different enough from each other, upgrades are interesting and there are many hours of game play to beat the game. I keep playing the game for awhile after I get bored with HO games. I'm glad I bought it!

I enjoyed playing this game! Visually clear, music nice. No voice overs but I don't care about that anyway. Pretty straight forward game with HO scenes and a minigame for almost every HO scene. While maybe not the most original game, it was well made and keeps within the traditional HO game genre.
