I LOVE these games and LOVED the first version but they have changed the mode of play! I ALMOST bought it but am glad I didn't as the mouse for MAC's/Apple products aren't reliable when using right click/left click option. Sorry, this is a BIG NO for me!

I am a HUGE fan of these types of games and was unsure at first if this would live up to my expectations. It DEFINITELY did! For about 1/2 or more of the game the puzzles are no larger than 10 x 15 (pretty sure this is right) but they DO get larger. There is NO storyline - which I prefer. It's all about the puzzles - and THAT is what I play these for. But the BEST thing? This is the FIRST game that really was difficult! Most of the other games like these are pretty easy - I usually have some trouble with maybe 4 - 5 in a game. THIS game was challenging! FINALLY!! The more games like this come out - the more I'll buy. ENJOY!!!
I'm a BIG fan of these games and was pleasantly surprised that this is VERY playable! While the puzzles aren't all that difficult, the use of the mouse is accurate and simple to use - FINALLY a game that MAC users can easily play! The only thing I'd change is that you are unable to 'X' out more than one square at one time - makes it tedious to keep clicking each square when there are 15 of them!
Overall the game is ok - a few issues with where to put items and unless you use the map to 'jump' to locations it can be the 'run here and back ten times' type of game! I don't pay attention to voice overs so no comment on those. Graphics ok but some hard to see items. As a regular game (versus CE) it was playable and at least worth the game coupon I used!
I LOVE these games but will not buy as the gameplay is not conducive to MAC users. Unable to click accurately with MAC mouse even though set up properly. Sorry, a no buy for me.
I don't recommend this game.

Ok, I finished the main part of the game so far. The HO areas were rather boring. It was more of a find one item to use to get another. I would have preferred an opt out of this - match3 perhaps. The puzzles were decent. HOWEVER several took up pretty much my entire screen so when I chose (in one puzzle) a certain 'button'…I hit the hint instead! It wasn't like I TRIED to hit it…but it was exactly next to the hint which made it next to impossible NOT to! Anyway, moving on... I usually don't care about the voice overs but in THIS case if your character didn't shut up I swear I almost stopped playing. Every time I clicked somewhere to try to use an object, there is this over-acted voice saying one of three or four sayings. It got obnoxious. I'm also getting pretty bored with the whole pet thing - helps you reach high up, go under beds, etc. Many game developers try to make it 'cutsie'…I'm getting bored with it! Based on what I wrote- I'd say that I would recommend this game ONLY if you like the specific type of HO area I described and enjoy puzzles. To be honest, I'm contemplating NOT playing the extra gameplay. But we'll see! I hope you enjoy it more than I did as I feel it was just 'ok'.
I TRIED to like this game but it really is, well, nothing special - same old, same old. Kidnapped girl, gotta save her, and some scary stuff to put you off. Usually I don't care about the voice overs and such but THIS!?!!! If I had to listen to the voice for ONE more second I think I was going to punch the screen. Talk about annoying and stating the obvious! For example- fires break out…voice over says 'I'll have to deal with these fires before continuing' (very close to a quote). REALLY? I will not NOT recommend this game but if voice overs are a stickler for you or you want something different as far as story lines or something other than 'use the insecticide, get the gloves, turn the key' than this is not for you!

This review is for the CE version - which I bought without playing the demo and was NOT disappointed. The story continues and even has familiar characters from previous games. There are collectibles and morphing objects. Obviously I'm a big fan of the series but there a few problems that I found negligible. The map showed that there was something to do at one or two places where there wasn't. Other than that I didn't find anything I thought was lacking. This is WELL worth the price for this version as it was also worth the CE as well! Have fun!
I wanted to like this game. The story line is very usual - the 'help me build the city' theme. Drawings are mediocre at best, music is repetitive and child-like. Game play was rather normal for a match three game. There was NOTHING impressive or interesting in my opinion. It was mundane....just the usual middling quality that I feel has been thrown at us when not some sort of Collector's Edition game. While I was really hoping that this game could be purchased with one of my free coupon codes, it isn't worth it. This is why my codes keep expiring!

I bought this game without previewing it because I LOVE these games! I don't care about the storyline or if the picture is good/clear or whatever...I just love the game. I played two levels last night (yes it came out at 3am!) and was NOT disappointed! Unlike other games of this type, it did not start with a 5X5 but 10X10...and was NOT overly easy! I enjoy a challenge especially as I've mastered the other games of this type. Can't wait to continue!
