What a cool new match-3! I'm not sure what I was expecting but this far exceeded it! Colorful and spooky and ANIMATED pieces...oh my! Add some rich background sounds and music and the scene is set for some immersive Matchventuring!
I really enjoyed the turn-based Battle Boards where you compete against an in-game character to earn some gold. It's not mandatory, but if you like this kind of thing it really adds to the fun.
There are also a lot of interesting and unique mini-games that you have to play to access additional boards within a level, but you can always skip them if they are too hard or aren't your cup of tea.
All-in-all, a spooky fun adventure that's beautiful to play, watch and listen to!
I recommend this game!

This game was so reminiscent of the 90s! I loved the classic 8bit horror/adventure game style, similar to more recent games like Ib or Witch's House which I really enjoyed too. Right from the start, Aveyond engaged me with its beautiful music and unique world design.
The story, at least from the demo, felt unlike anything I'd seen before. Just like other games like this, we follow a younger protagonist through her adventures in a strange new world. (Though from her character design and art, I would say she was in her early/mid teens, lol.) I've always liked the ability to talk to NPCs and going on quests, which this game certainly has a few unique ones.
I enjoyed the gameplay itself, reminding me of early RPGs with its turn-based combat and exploration. I felt immersed as I traveled the forest in search of the school, or going on quests. I also enjoyed how you had to go searching/exploring in order to fulfill quests/move on, instead of having every little bit spoonfed to you. It felt like a real adventure.
Overall I recommend this game!

I was blown away by this game! What struck me the most was how realistic it all was. Some of the cutscenes/game details used shots/videos of real people! It made the setting of a virus-struck world seem all the more real, as if I was actually there. The game backgrounds and hidden object puzzles looked visually realistic, as well. Almost like I was watching a show!
The gameplay itself was fantastic. I liked how you would sometimes have to use an object more than once, like using a screwdriver to click each screw out rather than the game automatically doing it for you, or clicking with the shovel each time to dig. The HOPs were also awesome, too. You would collect items in white, and then use them around the scene in order to gather more, whether it was using a door handle or putting together a generator. I liked that extra layer of involvement, rather than just collecting random objects for seemingly no reason.
The story was wonderful. None of it felt predictable, I liked all the extra details, such as the mysterious masked man, to build the world better and heighten the intrigue. I couldn't put it down!
I recommend this game!

This is way different than any game I've seen before. The mechanics take a bit of getting used to, since it's a hands-on learning experience rather than in-depth instruction. Gameplay got harder as time went on, and sometimes it was too hard! But it was a really well-done mechanics puzzler.
The graphics were beautiful, I liked that you had to turn the dial down on a physical radio to lower the music volume, and that you could skip songs if you wished. But why would you?
The music was beautiful and relaxing. The main menu screen was also graphically gorgeous. All the buttons, like settings and game language, were unlabelled and instead just parts of Grandpa's table, which was a great touch.
Overall I would recommend this game if you like brain teasers!

I felt absorbed in this game demo from start to finish! The music was lovely, the graphics were beautiful, and overall the character voice acting felt spot on and not out of place.
The gameplay itself was entertaining and fun. HOPs were creative, such as taking a medal to put on a picture of a soldier in order to get a "war hero", or putting wings on a horse drawing to get "pegasus". Items in the HOPs felt they belonged in the universe, too, and weren't too random.
The story was intriguing, too. I liked the character designs with the masks and how the people looked after being taken by the fog. I couldn't stop playing. Normally the stories in hidden object games feel similar, but this game had fantastic world-building and heightened intrigue. Can't wait to play more!
I recommend this game!

To start off with what I like about the game, I'll say that the music and character design fit pretty well with the 50s aesthetic. The art was basic, but had its charms. I also liked that the gameplay added more challenging details as time went on, like double scoop or fudge.
Otherwise, I didn't enjoy this game. Sometimes it was hard to pick things up, or it took too long to get from one place to another and then money from a customer would disappear. I wish there was a visible action queue, because when I would log actions it wouldn't register one part of the process and I would have to throw the ice cream away. I thought it was a good detail that the ice cream thrown away cost money, but oftentimes it was just inconveniencing. The customers were too impatient, and the conveyor belt idea was just strange.
I didn't care for this game, and I stopped playing about halfway through the demo. It had its moments, but overall it wasn't my cup of tea.
I don't recommend this game.

I've heard of this game, but I never got around to playing it. What struck me the most is how beautifully done this game is. All the graphics look crystal clear, and the sounds are nice (when the volume is turned down a bit, lol). I like the different level backgrounds as the game went on, too.
The gameplay itself was nice and fun. Though at times it felt a bit slow-going, the different level designs kept things interesting. I liked the powerups, and overall it was a nice, relaxing game. (Some of the level names were funny too!)
I recommend this game!

The graphics and music, firstly, were beautiful. I thought the font and style choices were, overall, a good choice and gave the game a more prominent time period. The HOPs had well-fitting items, and not just a random mish-mash of things. Little details such as that which made this game outwardly enriching.
However, the actual gameplay had its flaws. Sometimes connections between what to do next and where to go for items were not at all clear. The hint button oftentimes didn't work unless I clicked it over and over hoping it would register, especially during HOPs where I needed them the most. Moving through scenes also wasn't easily apparent, since sometimes it was an arrow and other times it was click and drag to move. The HOPs reset every time you played, whether it be for coins or for another item, so it was way too easy to find the items the next time.
The story was also pretty basic, but the details about the Countess in the book at the store were intriguing and unique. I've always thought the story of the queen who killed young maidens and bathed in their blood was fascinating. Other story details, like the MC getting haunted by the ghost in her sister's house made it more interesting, though I didn't feel in danger based on how it was handled.
Overall an okay game. Perhaps others would find it more interesting than me.
I don't recommend this game.

What a lovely game! I have nothing bad to say about it. The graphics are beautiful, the music is nostalgic, and the story is really touching. I felt immersed, especially with the well-fitting & emotional melodies. The designs for the characters were all unique and charming, and they felt realistic, especially as time went on!
I really enjoyed the gameplay, too. It was the perfect amount of challenge at normal difficulty, even as the game went on. I thought that the options for food really fit the different themes of restaurant, like classic Italian food and birthday party food.
Overall a gorgeous and fun game that I would definitely recommend!

First I'll start with what I liked about the game. I enjoyed the music, I felt it fit the theme quite well. Some of the game dynamics were pretty unique, like putting bats in sleepwalkers' food to wake them up, or putting garlic in vampires' food during the day to get them to leave since they were "rebels", lol. The boost options (such as to increase how patient guests were) was also a good touch in a bind.
Otherwise, I didn't really enjoy the game. The graphics were pretty basic, and the guests felt too impatient compared to other TM games that I've played. There wasn't even a difficulty selection to make it easier. It took way too long to buy most of the crucial items, since a lot of the time there were guests who didn't pay (like the day vampires and sleepwalkers). So, even when I was half an hour into the game, I still was seating guests at one table, and only had the option of one room. Maybe I'm just bad at saving, lol. I also thought the gameplay itself was a little dry. It would've been better if there was a way to see what actions were queued up, rather than just hoping my clicks went through.
This game wasn't my cup of tea, but perhaps others will enjoy it more than I did.
I don't recommend this game.
