ERS has created some great games in their time and especially with this series, but Grim Facade: Mystery of Venice CE was okay but not great. Again, it's just a matter of taste. No map, two modes, regular and expert and I played the expert mode. You have a diary which, to me, is always a must. You collect lots of fans but I had no use for them as I didn't use the hint button at all, although I must add that the puzzles were very clever indeed. I skipped a few to be honest, which makes me wonder if I really am an expert. But there are loads of HOS for those who love them. I like balance and I felt this game had far too many. There are 4 tracks of music and I particularly liked the 2nd track but everytime you enter another area the music changes and, too, the music is redundant. The bonus game solves the mystery, which is a good thing! Good art, grainy in some areas and very clear and crisp in others, some repetitive scenes but nicely done. There are some HOS items that are right there in front of your eyes and others that are sketched in wood or walls and a few that were hard to find. I would still recommend this game because judging by others' reviews they really liked it, and I did, too, as it really wasn't all that bad to me, but not that great either. Go ahead buy it and try the CE version.
I recommend this game!

Lots of good reviews on this game, but personally I couldn't wait for it to end. Sorry about that. Just a matter of taste! No map, pretty much the same back n' forth trips to point A, to point B, to point C. Some repetitive areas for the HOS as well, very little interaction but those were ok. However, I did like the various powers we attained throughout the game; graphics were good, and you do get a lot for your money. I played the CE version and it includes an extra/bonus game which will require you to destroy the 'machine.' Not my regular, glowing review but I would still recommend the game.

Even though Clockwork Tales: Of Glass & Ink CE was not a very long game, it was long enough for me to enjoy it including the bonus game. The five-star is well-deserved! Great artwork, cutscenes, VOS, puzzles, HOS, music, you name it. And the storyline is about a scientist, Professor Ambrose Ink, who calls upon his protege, Evangeline Glass, to save him and the town of Hochwald from earthquakes brought on by egomaniacal Gerhard Barber. The bonus game gives you a prequel of how Professor Ink was captured. Anyway, I thought I was an expert but now I realize I'm not. Some of the puzzles, in my opinion, were tricky and I didn't get them all this time. So there you have it. I highly recommend this game. Great job Artifex Mundi!

Excellent all around. I'm now playing the bonus game but I had to let everyone know that Nightmares from the Deep: The Siren's Call CE is a must have game. I didn't play the first one so I didn't have much to go on but I have to write that though the story is a bit dark it truly is a game full of adventure, hope, and intrigue. You get quite a bit for your money! Kudos to the developers of this game! The artwork was different but crisp and wonderful. Hidden objects were clear enough to find, a variety of puzzles, VOS with text, and the music was great. Very clever game. Outstanding all around! I highly recommend it!

This sequel is really good but I thought the first one was better. I played the CE version (expert mode), which usually offers more than the SE. Pleasing to the eye, everything is at your fingertips, and the game flows. I enjoyed the morphing objects, and there are achievements plus the bonus game in the CE is short but sweet. Yes, I recommend this game.

This game has it all. Wonderful narration with VOS, and blurbage. I'm pretty much 3/4 through this collector's edition and having the time of my life. Love the graphics, interactive HO's --interactive and silhouettes--puzzles very interesting and fun, not too easy, not too hard. Achievements, collection of owls, scrolls, map, journal, guide. A nice variety of things to do, and this game flows very well. That's what I like in a game. The developers pretty much thought of everything. The storyline is intriguing but pretty much the norm, good vs. evil. However, I'm giving it a 5-star rating. With that in mind, I highly recommend this game.

It's one thing dealing with witches and goblins, but a family background of warlocks who conjure up demons to do their bidding, no thanks! Not for me! The storyline is gloomy enough and the artwork is dark on dark and loaded with non-interactive HOS. No map but a guide and hint button and a journal. Puzzles are okay. That's about it. If I wanted nothing but HOS there are plenty of those out there to play. This is not an adventure game more like horror, perhaps! Nah! Not for me! I don't recommend this game. Thanks.

Loved, loved, loved this game! I didn't play the first Final Cut series but Final Cut: Encore CE version was like watching a film with my participation. Awesome, awesome game! The storyline was exceptional; the graphics were very good a little grainy here n' there but I was able to find everything that was needed, plus you had the option of switching to the match game--37 film strips and I only found 27; 12 morphing objects which I found; and 10 clovers--found them all. You do have a hint button and a map. Lots of places to explore and inventory items. But the actors were exceptional, the music was very good. The developer went above and beyond on this one. Mind control using a projector and a crazed general who wanted to create a new world order! The characters were great and got my attention from beginning to end. I'm on to the extra bonus game right now and I can't wait to play it. Bravo to the developers on this game! I highly recommend it! Two thumbs up!!!

Some other reviewer wrote that it was the same ol', same ol', and when you think about it lots of these types of games usually are, but I'm giving this one 4-1/2 stars because ERS games always comes through...it was clever, fun, not overly challenging but enjoyable. Visually, it's beautiful! Haven't you played games where you couldn't wait until it was over? This is not one of them. It's nicely constructed; well-balanced and yes, abrupt endings are pretty much the norm for lots of these types of games, thus the CE version, but just go with it. I bought the CD for this game and couldn't wait to play it. It's really a great game if you just want to wind down and enjoy the view. I also enjoy the music, and though it's repetitive you have the option of turning it down or off. The developers make a great effort in trying to please us and in this instance, they were successful. I recommend this game.

I was very impressed with this collector's edition as the bonus game continues where you leave off initially. Lots to do in this fun game, for instance: finding objects for your inventory, collecting puzzle pieces, morphing objects, Interactive HOS or you have the option to choose the match game puzzle if you prefer; or play half of your HOS and finish with the match game. Very, very clever and loads of fun. Graphics were very good; you had verbage with the VOS and the game flowed very well. The storyline was great. It's you and Lynne out there to conquer the witch Morgana. You do have some help along the way. I didn't get bored once. Play at your own pace and the game is long enough to be sure. Again, estethetically, I like the Blue Tea Games, but Witches Legacy: Lair of the Witch Queen was pretty fine. And because of all the activities and the achievements, not to mention the little friend you meet along the way--the imp, who I named Skip, just added to all the fun and adventure. There was a great map and hint button and a journal and the puzzles could be skipped if you chose to. I skipped about three total. Didn't use the hint button at all. I highly recommend this game.
