This review is based on 1 1/2 hours of game play. This is a true ADVENTURE game. As of yet I have not run across even one HOS. :) ALL puzzles which are my favorite. A psychopath is beheading people and trying to reverse evolution. I would definitely recommend to puzzlers, hos people will be disappointed. I just had to stop to tell you cause it's great to finally get something that uses my smarts. I can;t wait to look at their other game options.
Normally I don't buy ce's because it doesn't make sense to spend twice as much for very little extra. This game however had alot of extras. Not only were there 11 extra hos (not my fav but I know it is alot of peoples) but there was also a trivia game to earn prizes. The extra chapter was long and enjoyable. There were a few glitches (hos list said lady bird, when in actuality they were looking for a ladybug) That being said the hint button works well. lol. Overall a very enjoyable game.
A late-night subway ride takes a bizarre turn into a mystical cemetery. You have been summoned by a strange entity to free the cemetery’s lost souls. Will you succeed, or is this the end of the line?
This game is full of new original puzzles. Based on a couple of hours of play I had to stop to tell you all. I'm beginning to regret not getting the ce (I don't say that often) just so I can go to yet another new and exciting "scene". It's filled with such a variety of things to do and different "worlds" An absolute gem.
While the storyline is okay, the hos were horribly drawn and I found myself clicking on items going....what was that? Some objects I even had to look up in a dictionary to know what I was looking for. I finally just deleted it eventhough it was a purchase. The puzzles were okay, some challenging.
I originally got the Kiss of Death of the same game and enjoyed it so I was looking forward to this one. You have a non-integrated map and are constantly backtracking to run across yet ANOTHER hos. 2/3 through the game and I had to have done 50 of them. The puzzles (what there are) are mindless. I believe hos are a means to an end but don't like them. These are poorly drawn and a strain on the eyes. I'm going to try to finish it because I paid for it, but that's the only reason.
I rarely buy ce's but I have to say that I completely recommend this as a ce. The extra game play was extraordinary and I found it MORE challenging than the game itself. That being said, there is a glitch. I was 60 seconds from the end and the game thought I had picked up a necessary item but it wouldn't let me have it and I had to completely start the game over. Make SURE you have the ring near beginning or don't continue.
I really liked the storyline. The stained glass scene got to be monotonous and irritating. Overall I really enjoyed it. Great graphics, story and more puzzles than anything.
Although I thought the "warning" was overrated (especially because my favorite game so far was also warning....Mystery Case Files Escape from Ravenhurst ..and it deserved the warning) This was a truly enjoyable game. The music was perfect, the storyline intriguing and I can't wait for another. Totally worth it.
This was an excellent game. The puzzles were original and I found out in "3"s. The graphics aren't as good as some but the puzzles are quite challenging. Unfortunately one was so challenging I couldn't understand how to play it and skipped it. I was hoping that would show me how it is done so I could play the two like it but it skipped it all. I would have liked to have a map since I had no sparkle hints but maybe that was part of the hard version. Overall I'm going for more in this series.
This is the game after a year of going strictly on reviews that will make me never buy a game without it. Impossible to see most of the objects. A strain on the eyes. Challenge was rated excellent because it was impossible. Mini games were easy. I found it more irritating than enjoyable. No jump map which would have made it a bit more tolerable. Half way through game and I'm giving up my eyes can't take it.
