Your friend, Mary, disappears and it's up to you to save her. Uncover an exotic land with unearthly secrets as you find and help your friend leave the flying island.
This game is so much fun to play. The fragmented objects scenes (instead of iHOS) were so much fun! The objects you collect to create another object needed in the scene were fun and something you don't find often in games.
The graphics were very nice and crisp. The cut scenes were somewhat cartoonish, but didn't bother me. The voice overs were well done and the music was unobtrusive. The mini games were well done and fun to play. There were several "chemistry" type games, which I really enjoy. The story was sweet and the ending was very satisfying. You earn achievements as you play the game, which was a nice touch for a non-CE game.
This is a fun game with some minor annoyances. You are off to rescue Captain Nemo on the island of Vulcania. The graphics are beautiful, the iHOS are challenging, the music is okay (I muted it after a bit), the cut scenes are well done for the most part, the mini games are fun. There is a journal that holds some helpful information and a task list. There is no map, but you don't really need one. Game play moves along, with some surprises thrown in.
Now for the annoyances. I was thrown out of the game on multiple occasions. While this may have been some conflict with my laptop, I doubt it. Also, the dialogue in some of the cut scenes scrolls so quickly there is no way to read it. This was frustrating because you miss out of parts of the story.
Overall, I enjoyed this game and the ending was quite satisfying. The graphics really are beautiful and make up for the annoyances.
When your daughter, Emily, is taken over by a mysterious force, you must travel to the Nightmare Realm to search for a cure. But nothing could have prepared you for what you find there…
What a fun game to play! This is a sequel to Nightmare Realm. You have to enter the Nightmare Realm again, this time to save your daughter. The graphics are excellent, the voice overs are well done, the iHOS and mini games are fun, the music is unobtrusive, There is a map, but it isn't interactive. There are cards with some information, although they are not the most useful. There are character cards that are unlocked as you play the game and find the collectibles.
The story was engaging and kept my interest. The ending of the main game was very satisfying. The bonus chapter was quite fun also. It filled in the back story and really added to the game.
I highly recommend this game. Although I would recommend playing Nightmare Realm first.
I really enjoyed this game. You play as Uncle Peter and you have to save your niece. There is a brief opening scene which sets the back story for the game.
The graphics are excellent, the iHOS are fun to play, the mini games are fun, the music is not intrusive. There are no voice overs, which was fine with me. The story is interesting and the game moves along nicely. The ending to the main game was satisfying and the bonus chapter filled in the one question left during the game. You have to collect origami pieces as you play the game, which was fun.
I really enjoyed this game and highly recommend it.
Once upon a time in the small, undistinguished town of Silentville people started disappearing. Help uncover the mystery behind these disappearances and save the town from a curse!
I really enjoyed this game. You find yourself in Silentville after your involved in a train wreck. Most of the people in town are gone. You have to figure out what happened in order to escape the town.
The graphics are great, the iHOS are really fun (and hard), the mini games are fun, the cut scenes are nicely done and move the story along. You have a journal which is helpful and an interactive map. There are plenty of places to explore and tasks to complete. I enjoyed the final scene and the end of the game. It was quite satisfying.
This was a fun game with a couple of annoyances. The game begins with a brief scene that sets up the main action. When the main part of the game begins, a group of friends is shipwrecked on a mysterious island. All but one of the group has disappeared. You play as the remaining member of the group and try to find your friends and a way off the island.
The graphics are fine, the cut scenes are well done and informative, the music is not too intrusive and the HOS are okay (but a bit dark). There are very few mini games. There is a journal that is helpful. There isn't a map, but it is not really needed. At points in the game there is a lot of back and forth between locations. The ending was satisfying and left open the possibility of a sequel.
For me, the annoyances were the dark HOS and the lack of mini games. Having said that, I did enjoy this game and would recommend it.
Explore the vastness of a ship lost in time, what mysteries will you uncover amidst its Mayan idols, menacing sea creatures, and exotic treasures? Find out in this exciting new Hidden Object Puzzle Adventure game on the open seas!
This game is so much fun to play and the CE is definitely worth the price. You encounter a ship drifting in the ocean and the fun really begins. There are four modes of play, a journal, an interactive map and built-in SG. There are a number of locations to visit, plenty of HOS and mini games, transforming objects to collect, hummingbirds to collect, pieces of a calendar to collect and pieces of an artifact to collect. In the HOS, you can elect to play a Mahjong game if you prefer.
The interactive map is excellent and very useful when you want to move around quickly. The voice-overs are acceptable, the music and background sounds are fine. The bonus chapter is a nice end to the game.
There are standard extras and you can play Mahjong games again. You collect achievements throughout the game.
I highly recommend this game!

Escape the Emerald Star
You awake to find your cruise ship abandoned and in disarray. Can you track down all the fragments of a map and escape the ship?
This game was fun to play and a change from some of the "darker" games I normally play. You are trapped on a cruise ship and need to find clues to get off the ship. To find the clues you have to complete HOS at various locations on the ship. After each group of HOS, you play either a match-3 game, find the word game or jigsaw puzzle. You visit each location more than once. After you've completed the levels and found the clues, you have one more task to complete using the clues to escape the ship.
After you've complete the game, you have access to each HOS and the match-3 games. It is fun to go back to each HOS and try to locate all the objects. Each scene has 75-80 objects and some of them are difficult to locate.
I recommend this game for those that either enjoy pure HOS or when you need a break from some of the more intense games.
I recommend this game!

Vacation Quest: Australia
Grab your passport and get ready for an exotic Hidden Object Adventure in Vacation Quest: Australia!
This is a fun game when you want a change from the darker games. It is filled with HOSs and a few match 3/find the word/ jigsaw puzzle games thrown in. You visit most locations more than once. You also find hidden boomerangs to open extra "days" on your vacation.
Once you complete the main game, the bonus area opens up so you can replay the HOSs and the match 3 games.
This game was okay, but not worth the price of a CE. As the game begins you are in a car accident and end up in a coma. To find your way out, you have to resolve issues from your childhood. The graphics are okay, the iHOS are good, the mini games are so-so. The voice overs are not well done, but you the dialogue is displayed on the screen so you can read it.
The game has a lot of glitches. When you zoom in on areas, it doesn't always display the proper scene. When the gears show up on the cursor, they don't always go away when they should. The transitions between scenes lag.
Parts of the story were okay, parts were boring. The main story had a satisfying ending. The bonus chapter was tacked on and very short. It had a satisfying ending, but was not worth the price of a CE.
The one thing nice about this game is that it is a change of pace from some of the scary games. I do enjoy a break from the scary games at times.
If you are interested in this game, I would not spend the money for the CE. With that caveat and if you can deal with the technical issues, I would recommend this game.
