I read some reviews on this game so decided to give it a try.
At first, the game seems interesting and challenging; however, it got rather frustrating and without options rather quickly (within the first level). I go to the boss stage on level 1 but found the fixed timer and lack of strategy options annoying. Also, you have no option about alice's garden other than which bits to buy (you have to get them all anyway); you just amass lots of points to buy stuff. I seemed to have more points than it was possible to spend very quickly).
Overall, I think the game is borderline whether I recommend it or not. Pity it doesn't have more options available - the timer makes for a rather rushed and pressurised game.
So on balance, I will say no but I can see why some would like this game.
I don't recommend this game.

Stolen Power - more like stolen gameplay
there is no way I can recommend this game - played the demo and got 40+ cards found. Thought surely the game has to last longer than this - but no - obviously, from other comments , it is that short.
strange plot - magic cards stolen yet many seem to be the the same place that they were (i.e. museum) - what?
then character says he has majority of cards in his basement (after breaking into your appartment, though how he knows where you live is a mystery!!!); however, you already have found 40 cards so ???? and your response- call the police?, arrest the burglar? - no - you play solitaire!!!!! What?
If you suspend all belief in the physical world, you might get it but I doubt that very much.
Graphics are ok - but the clean, demould and unlock things are a total waste of time - why are they even in the game?
Could have been a good game - but isn't by a long way.
Not worth any money whatsoever.
I don't recommend this game.

A very american game (I assume based on a TV show) - probably not for non-us purchasers. The reading of the lines at the bottom of the screen seemed to be pointless and when you deal, there is no bargaining, it's either buy or not buy. Hardly challenging at all with very little animation - the van moving is laughable!
Sorry, cannot recommend for anyone except fans of the show. It is not worth the money for anyone else.
I don't recommend this game.

I played the demo, which only took me 25 minutes. Rather unusual in that you had to match HO with picture clues (or rather vice versa) instead of just finding the HO. This is found a rather interesting twist on the genre. Would have got 5 stars if the demo wasn't so short and I think I could have finished even quicker if I had picked up everything on the first pass. Returning to the original scene seemed rather odd so maybe I had missed stuff before I left the scene. Another feature is the puzzle (trial and error) that you must overcome to progress.
Graphics sharp if cartoon-like
Challenge -intermediate
Fun - well the demo was- so yes!
Sound - caustic comments when you try something the game considers stupid.. well, you have to try!
Plot - seems interesting enough to continue
I recommend this game

This is a fun HO challenge game. The challenges are not too hard, just need to think a bit to work out how to solve them. I downloaded the trial version and then bought the game as it was on the daily deal - bargain!
I recommend this game!

Having read other reviews - I was abit wary of this Fear for Sale edition. However, I quite like it. the graphics are not grainy but I suspect you need a good card to display them. Everything was spottable if you looked carefully enough.
Return to previous scenes - yes, you need to do that but that is part and parcel of a HO game anyway.... find stuff, find things you need to do , go elsewhere, do HO scene, find stuff and do the thing in the first scene etc..
I would recommend this game- especially on a daily deal price!
I recommend this game!

Sorry I just couldn't get into this game or its predecessor at all - the characters in the story are just too poor to care about the storyline at all.
The inbetween bits are too soap-opera to make much of an impact and the boards too alike to really care about what's happening- and the link to the story is just a very poor premise for the board clearing.
Cannot recommend this game - deleted the trial very quickly.
If you like a really naff, disjointed story with jewel quest board clearing then this is for you - if not, avoid!
I don't recommend this game.

Whoops- more mis-spelt items - some you can forgive - a missing letter or two - scorpio for scorpion etc.. But some are just unforgivable - Comb and Crest muddled up - Chandelier for Candlestick!
And the fade to fuzzy and back is not helpful.
All in all - could have been a good game - as it stands now - awful!
Do not buy in its current form - it even crashed at one point!
I don't recommend this game.

Scary - well in parts, it was. Suspenseful - definitely! A very good HO and adventure game. I wanted to complete it to find out what happened. Liked the ending too! Creepy or what?
Graphics are good enough to keep you hunting and trying to move on. I liked the fact that you have to use your imagination and try things to solve the puzzles and gain the next thing you need. some very interesting use of objects but none too off the wall to disarm the player.
I really liked it... is there a sequel?
I recommend this game!

Jane Croft - 221b Baker Street - related to Sherlock Holmes surely....? But no sign that it's London at all, all US items in all the weirdest places with no correlation or thought as to why they are where they are!
You collect things that have no bearing whatsoever on the case... but seem to amass clues anyway. The murder just seems to be a sideline to finding objects in various scenes.
Disjointed - erratic and not worth the money.
I don't recommend this game.
