Good Parts: Loved the achievements. They added great fun to the game. Really liked the Hidden Object Scenes. They weren't too challenging, or too easy. The hint was very useful. Great graphics, everything was very clear. Did not have to tilt my screen back/forward and had great designs.
OK Parts: There was quite a bit of going back and forth, I would've liked less of this as it takes time from the game. The storyline had the right idea, but voice-overs would have made it much more effective.
Bad Parts: Hint/skip took way too long to recharge. There was no strategy guide. This was really annoying because it was hard to figure out what to do for most of the game. The puzzles were way too hard. There should've been some instructions there to help.
This is a game that will have it's lovers and haters, but it's a decent one. I would recommend downloading the trial.
I recommend this game!

Hidden Mysteries®: Gates of Graceland®
Explore the home of the King of Rock and Roll while searching for clues about a lost song!
Good Parts: Breezed through the Hidden Object Scenes, hardly needed to use the hint (used then hint a total of 3 times) Graphics were pretty good all around. Hint was very useful. The puzzles were mostly easy. Map is very good.
OK Parts: The storyline I found to be quite weird. There was no voice-over for the dialogue and in general it was quite boring.
Bad Parts: I found everything to be quite easy. I navigated through the game rather quickly. The demo is way too short and the ending doesn't make me want to buy the game. When I finished through the demo, I still had 23 minutes left. The hint/skip takes way too long to recharge. There is no strategy guide. A basic feature was missing here. For most of the game it was really hard to figure out what to do.
This game has its hits and misses, but for lovers of Elvis it might be alright. I would download the free trial first.
Don't let my 4 ratings above fool you, I really did not like this game.
Good Parts: The graphics were good, especially in the intro. I liked the HOS. One of the rare highlights of this game, they were very easy and I could solve them quickly.
OK Parts: The intro is good, but after that the story is boring. Nothing interesting seems to happen and it takes a while to progress.
Bad Parts: The whole game just seemed utterly boring! It took forever for the hint to recharge, and I really needed it. It was really hard to figure out what to do for the most part of the game, and took a good 5 minutes to even progress to the next area!!! Had to go in to the menu to acess the strategy guide.
Just boring and really did not like it. Game is just to weird for me. I'd much rather play something else.
(Full rating 4 1/2 stars, based on Casual Mode, full demo)
The first two games of the series were real bummers, which is just what I expected from this game. Boy did I get the shock of my life! What a great one!
Good Parts: First and foremost, the storyline is excellent. Loved the way the wolf was put in to it, excellent voice-overs and cutscenes. Demo leaves you wanting more! As usual, graphics were good but I found that they were blurry at certain times (e.g. the mosaic puzzle). It seems that ERS might have rushed the design a little. For once the hint is useful outside the HOS. This is the main thing that changes from previous games. Also, you can use the strategy guide without buying the full version, which was a big step in the right direction for ERS. I liked the HOS. They were a great challenge, forcing me to use the hint a few times, but they also included interactive objects. Hint recharge is fast. I actually loved the puzzles! Throughout the demo I only needed to skip 3, and I met a lot of puzzles! The puzzles were easy, with instructions that were simple to follow.
OK Parts: Would've been nice to see a couple MORE HOS and a couple LESS puzzles. A little bit of going back and forth.
Bad Parts: I found myself referring to the Strategy Guide quite a number of times. For the most part of the game, I found it really hard to figure out what to do next, which is the main thing holding this game back from getting the full 5.
I think that's the only bad thing I would have to say about this game. It's really great and I would recommend it to lovers of the series and first timers. Even those who don't like the series (or developer) might like to give it a try.
This game is just as good as its sequel, a nice one to play away your Sunday.
Good Parts: The use of the Dream Cards is excellent in this game, with you seeking animal's names in order to free them and let them return to the spirit world. I loved the storyline, especially the use of Shadowlocks, and the mystery of what actually happened to Ed's parents. I liked the Hidden Object Scenes, although they were a little harder than the sequel's. Great graphics as usual. Very clear and in some natures were realistic. Great voice-overs. Actors were very clever in the making of this game. The hint and skip recharged very fast. The strategy guide was very useful to me.
OK Parts: They could have done a little more work on the cutscenes, cutting to a story rather than pictures and voices. This would have made the game a little more interesting. The intro could have been a little better. You actually HAVE to play the tutorial. Unlike most games, where you have the option, this game makes you play the tutorial.
Bad Parts: I actually didn't like the puzzles. I skipped almost every one. The song at the beginning was a little annoying.
Overall a fairly decent game which I wouldn't mind tackling if I had a weekend to spare. Try out the sequel; Margrave: The Blacksmith's Daughter.
Good Parts: The best part of the game by far were the Hidden Object Scenes. I treasured their rarity, and they were a great challenge. Included "interactive" objects Graphically, this game needs to be praised. The people and other surrounding graphics are amazing. Very clear and realistic. Hint and skip recharge fast. Hint is useful outside HOS.
OK Parts: The storyline is a little odd. At times I found it hard to folllow and a little boring. The strategy guide was not much use to me.
Bad Parts: The voice-overs are pathetic. The acting is so severly overdone. There are un-nesecary pauses in the story. I had to skip every single puzzle in the game. They were way too hard and just a waste. For the most part of the game I found it really hard to figure out what to do. I was relying heavily on the hint.
A kind of average game, most certainly different. I don't know what the rest of you will make of it. Download the free trial is my recommendation
Stupid me played the sequel before the orginal, but all the same it was amazing!!
Good Parts: Loved the story. Kept me hanging on, wanted to buy straight after the demo. Puzzles were amazing. Best I've seen ever. I could complete all of them! Hidden Object Scenes were great. A good challenge and lots of fun. I loved the way the "seers" were placed in to the game, and the element of the dream cards. I loved how everything, even the sketches had a use in this game. Graphics were pretty good all-round. Could use just a little bit more work though. I loved the voice-overs. Hint recharged quickly and was very helpful. Skip recharged quickly.
OK Parts: I found no use for the strategy guide.
Bad Parts: For a moment, the hint would always say: "I need to get my bearings, the map can guide me around town." At that point I was stuck. I had no use for the map and it was really annoying.
Overall, an absolute stand-out. Will definitely be playing the original!!!! A must buy!!!
Good Parts: The graphics were excellent, with cutscenes including a lot of detail. I liked the match 3 part of the HOS. Puzzles were easy, which I really liked. Instructions were simple and easy to follow. Hint recharged fast. Great voice-overs. I liked the addition of the Blue Crystals and how that affected the game.
OK Parts: Strategy guide did not provide much use to me as I was happy to use the hint. A fair bit of going back and forth. Would've liked to have seen less.
Bad Parts: The storyline is confusing and odd at times. Very dull and boring intro, not really sucking me in to the plot. Cutscenes weren't too much of a thrill either. The Hidden Object part of the HOS was just poor. Everything was too hard to find, and the match 3 took forever so I just quit the game. At no time did I find this game fun. At times the hint wouldn't be useful at all and it would just be a waste of my time.
So much more could have been done with this game, but it just lacks in everything. A no deal for me.
Prepare for a mind-bending journey into the realm of the weird in Haunted Halls: Revenge of Dr. Blackmore! Brace yourself for the unexpected in this exciting Hidden Object adventure!
For me, the whole series has flatlined. This for me was no exception.
Good Parts: The graphics were good. I actually really liked the Hidden Object Scenes. They really were something different, The storyline started off a major bore, but got better as the game went on. Hint charged very fast.
OK Parts: Most puzzles were annoying. There were a few exceptions, which included the 12 o clock hands puzzle. The strategy guide didn't provide much use for me. To use it. I had to skip to the page to what I was up to, and that wasted time.
Bad Parts: There were few points in the game that I would consider fun. The story got so boring I was going to give this 1/5. The one utter hatrid I had was the skip button. It took way too long to recharge, and if I exited the puzzle to wait, it started all over again. The hint would prove to be useless at times, directing me to places I didn't need.
Overall, this was one rollercoaster of a game that I wouldn't go on a second time. This confirms my lack of interest for teh Haunted Halls series, and puts ERS within one striike of losing me forever.
Elephant Games has done it again. This is an absolutely brilliant game.
Good Parts: Brilliant graphics, as always. Very clear, realistic and brilliant designs. Storyline is amazing, following The Four Aces cult and a series of bizzare animal attacks. Also included brilliant realistic cutscenes. I really liked the Hidden Object Scenes. The scene was a classic junkpile, with interactive objects included. The ability to have the dog help you was awesome. I liked the addition of "morphing creatures" which I think helped your case. Hint and skip recharged fast and the hint was very detailed, telling you exactly what to do. Built in startegy guide was great. I liked the addition of "The Dog Shop", which was added after the successful shop from Surface: The Noise She Couldn't make, giving Elf more involvement in the game.
OK Parts: As with all games by this developer, there was a lot of going back and forth. This should be reduced in time for the 5th Mystery Trackers game.
Bad Parts: The puzzles were once again a little too hard for my liking, and lacked fun. One thing I didn't like about the Hidden Object Scenes was that they almost always included a puzzle. This wasted my time a bit.
Hands down best game I have played for some time. The only thing left to do now is add this to my collection.
