This game looks like it was developed in 1963 (had we PC’s back then), however, you are an agent playing in current time period (we have a black president in the game). It was the subject matter and the investigative ability that drew me in. It was the feel and flow of the game that made me run as fast as I could. I prefer to play a game through before voicing an option, however after 3 minutes (yes, 3 minutes per game manager), I deleted the game immediately.
There is no voice over, graphics are mediocre, music annoying and not fit for game. While those factors may be overlooked once in a while, this has all three in your face in one game. There is so much bad and zero good, this review is going to be short.
With the quality of games out there now, this game should not have been contracted by BFG. I am sorry this is harsh for the dev’s (I am assuming they are a new start-up), however, they should have known better. A first time developer or gamer to the casual gaming genre would know there are minimum standards expected by gamers. The fact that BFG offered this to their members is surprising, and a waste of our time. Very disappointing. Please, DO try the demo before purchase. PLEASE!
I don't recommend this game.

The voice over is the best I have ever heard in a pc game! Think Sir Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lector. I expected him to call out “Clarice” any minute! You simply must play this game with the sound on!
Very lengthy game play 6 hours (if you don’t skip puzzles). CE bonus lasted approx. 1 hour, total game play approx. 7 hours…..definitely get your monies worth here. This is definitely more of an adventure game with very few HO scenes. There is no click penalty (bonus if you don’t like HO). They are not junk pile, clear with a few IHO. The music is toned down, definitely background. Sound effects are good, sounds like your character has asthma at times. There is no map. That is the only thing that I can say is disappointing about this game. There are so many rooms and other areas to search/investigate that it would have been very beneficial to the player. There were many times that I literally got lost trying to get from one area to another by taking a wrong turn. Hence, there is considerable to and fro.
Subject matter may be disconcerting to some. Let’s just say there are some bodies, though you never see the actual act of violence and there is no blood or bruising.
It will definitely keep you on the edge of your sit. I have heard of, but never experienced a game that was reviewed as scary…….this may just be that one. You will on occasion jump. Devilishly entertaining!
I recommend this game!

Review based on Purchase and 3/4 completion of game.
I can't believe the bad/low reviews! I had to stop playing and write a review. LOVE LOVE LOVE this game. If you're a fan of Hog you will probably not like this game.....there are ZERO. If you love puzzles you will be thrilled (I am!#.
•There is one puzzle after another #like heavy HOG games#.
•The storyline is good, not dark or gloomy, based upon unrequited love.
•The graphics are painted and take some getting used to.
•Hints tell you exactly what needs to be done.
•Flow of game is very good; you stay in areas and can't advance until you complete tasks. You are given a task list.
•Map: none, not needed
•Journal
•Very limited backtracking. Voice over for Lorenzo #circus owner# is excellent. Don't care much for the bird.
•Puzzles: there are your usual pipes, dials that need colors to match, found one match 3 so far #again 3/4 into game#...some that are new and new twist on old standards.
I have often wished for a game with just puzzles #much like hog fans get with games such as Clutter etc.). This is that game. Replay value? YES...the puzzles are literally one after the other, with just moments between.
I'm off to continue playing....haven't had this much PC game fun in years!
I recommend this game!

You’ve already read about the storyline, so here’s other info:
*Hint button ONLY works in hog (which is why this is more for adventure fans).
*HOS are messy, not junky but they are on the gray/dark side and rather small.
*Map shows areas with available HOS and areas of interest but does not transport you.
*Some backtracking, not excessive.
*Two modes of play, 2nd does NOT have sparkles.
*VO well done.
*Puzzles are not difficult, and are variations of standards (pipes, make buttons all one color)
*Sound effects good, music fits story and not irritating.
*Length of game approx. 5 hours +/-
I purchased undemo’d (BIG gamble), but I am happy with my purchase. I did get very frustrated early on when I’d done everything and could not advance…well obviously I did not do everything! Not having a hint button makes for a more thought provoking game. If your spoiled with the hint button, this may not be for you, which is why I recommend for adventure fans (we like to explore, investigate and figure out the next step ourselves) and not so much HO fans.
Overall, I think this is a gem in the rough. It could have been much better (bigger budget perhaps). I’ve seen a lot worse!
I recommend this game!

Sounded very intriging.....it wasn't. When I hit my 2nd HO in less than 2 minutes (seriously!#....I quit! A well game with a few well balanced ho and puzzles is what most gamers look for, if I wanted ALOT of ho I'd go specifically for that genre.
The music is plesant and relaxing, although on a loop. Graphics are clear and crisp #nothing to rave about#, ho are not junky, there is a click penality...and story sounds great...I just couldn't get thrilled about the suddenest #?) and amount of ho.
Not worth spending my hard earned money on...too many really good games out there, but that's just my humble opinon...try it for yourself maybe you will like it......maybe not.
I don't recommend this game.

Pure adventure, no hidden objects, no hints, no help…..you’re on your own. Do not expect clues or hints as to what to do next, there is none of that here.
You are turned loose in a mansion (quite beautiful) to open safes (hence “safe cracker”). You are looking for a will of a missing/deceased millionaire. Along the way you find letters that provide you background information regarding him and his family. In the end you will (hopefully) find his will and it has no designated beneficiary….what are you to do?
BFG does not have a walkthrough as of this posting (I looked!)…there are the forums for hints, or you can look on the internet for free walkthroughs (they are in abundance). Okay, I admit, I got stuck reallllllly bad at one point and needed help, after that I was on my way. You will go through spurts of struggling, then you unlock one and it rolls through another and that rolls, until you get stuck again. It is very enjoyable for those that like this type of game, and it is also frustrating. Adventure games are known to be lengthy, as you have to use your brain and not be led by the hand. There is a clock at the end of this that gives you your time; mine was 7 hours and 11 minutes.
The music is background and pleasant, the man’s voice (your player) is calm and enjoyable (I like the way he reads), and he has a sense of humor.
There are no instructions, but I found by right clicking my mouse it would bring up my inventory, from there you can access your map which shows what safes you have and have not opened. You can also save your game from here. You MUST manually save your game yourself EVERYTIME you exit the game.
It is enjoyable, albeit very frustrating….but you get a great sense of satisfaction knowing you did something without being told how or what to do.
I recommend this game!

Review based upon completion of game.
This is a little sleeper of a game. There are HO, which are well done (none interactive) clear not junky, and some dewsy hidden items! There are sparkles and a click penalty (I just went slowly and had no problems). The puzzles are rather easy, except the one at the carnival…that took a while. There are voice overs which were very well acted (except for Alfred, the lead character). Music is subliminal, hardly noticed. The hint button fills very quickly and shows as a strategy guide which was very helpful on occasion. No Journal, a very extensive map but you cannot teleport. There is not a lot of back tracking/to & fro.
Overall, I found it to be a VERY casual game, maybe 5 hours. It was very enjoyable not at all brain racking and I did not wish for it to “end already”. There is a complete ending, no cliff hangers.
I don’t think the demo gives it justice, and I don’t understand why so many rated it so low. It’s definitely not top 10 quality game but it is worth (IMHO) a purchase or a credit.
I recommend this game!

A quiet game (very relaxing), music is soft almost nonexistent. No voice overs, no map. We are introduced to the story, yet it is slow in developing, which isn’t really an issue with this game…if you like to search and collect items and figure out what to do with them, the story plays secondary here.
There are 21 achievements to collect, 25 eyes of Horus to find, recipes to concoct and LOTS of exploring. There is a fair balance of HO vs. puzzle, maybe teetering on “puzzle lite”. 2 modes of play, casual and advanced. In advanced there are no sparkles and the hint button takes approximately 3 minutes to reload (there is a timer countdown to let you know).
The art work is very well done, some beautiful even. The HO’s are not a junky mess, though full, items are clear and large (no magnifying glass required here). There is a click penalty, but if you stay at a steady pace you can avoid it.
It’s a bit of a “sleeper” game….comes across as so so, yet is quite entertaining. Probably not the best selection for hard core gamers, but nice change to relax and browse…to just enjoy a real casual game.
I recommend this game!

The lead character is female, who has grown up in an orphanage and comes to Prague to collect an inheritance and try to find information of her unknown family. There is mystery, intrigue and a touch of sci-fi.
Not your usual HO game. Plays like an adventure game. Screen moves right to left reminiscent of panoramic yet does not make you dizzy. HO is interactive; you will actually leave a scene to acquire an item to complete a task in the HO. Items in HO are not cluttered, but some are rather small and prove difficult to see. There is a click penalty. There is a button available to Skip HO! Knocks HO to a totally different level of play (and interest).
There is voice over acting and text to follow with. Graphics appear a bit blurry, rather “rustic” looking; I think this is to create an atmosphere. Two modes of play casual and adventure, NO sparkles in adventure mode. You are able to “fill screen” in the options, change curser etc. Your map lets you teleport, and legend in bottom right will explain what is available to do or not. Journal records information for later use. Music is soft and background, not intrusive.
Some unique puzzles that I’ve not seen before and there are 18 in the main menu intro that will be unlocked as you finish them, so you may play again at a later time.
While we have had games lately that have had extraordinary graphics, this particular game holds you with its unique type of play, and intriguing story.
I recommend this game!

Wow, this really IS fun!
I've seen the games before but never bothered with them, didn't really understand what it was all about. I would never have bought this type of game but it was on the $2.99 DD, so what the hey I figured I'd give it a go, and I'm so glad I did! I still don't totally understand what certain balls do or give you special abilities....but it is still fun.
I'm not a fan of timed games, but this one just times how long it takes you to do something...it doesn't just cut you off and make you feel like a loser (though you do lose at that point).
It is so much fun and soooo easy to play, my 4 year old granddaughter watched me and begged to try.....she was better than me!!!!!
Fun for the whole family and a great go to when you only have a small window of "me time" and want to escape.
I recommend this game!
