OBVIOUSLY THIS GAME WAS A MOBILE APP CONVERTED TO PC

I bailed after 4 levels because it was obviously designed to be a mobile app Match 3, time-waster game. The only feature I liked was that it can be played in a Relaxed, Limited Time, or Limited Moves mode, otherwise, the game mechanics are dreadful, and the only challenge was trying to decipher what the pictorial instructions were explaining at a break-neck pace. Even when they explained a new Power-up with actual words they just told you how many tile matches it would require to earn them and how to detonate them, not what they actually did!
The feature I hated the most was that you can't make fast, consecutive matches back to back, you have to wait for all the tiles to finish dropping before you can make another match... It kind of defeats the purpose when playing on a Limited Time mode doesn't it?
The Fruit-themed icons are huge and colorful, the sounds accompanying the matches are hugely annoying. I thought the fruit was huge but somehow they seemed small once the Hidden Totem levels arrived...they are the size of small elephants so how exactly are they "hidden"?
So, while I was writing this review I decided to search for an 11 Islands app and sure enough, this game is available as a FREE app, the only thing they did was add "Story of Love" to the title and convert the game to PC...just saying...you can spot a Match 3 mobile app game within seconds!
I don't recommend this game.

First of all, I adore this developer and think they have a heart of Gold! With that being said, I will always be honest with my reviews. I try to list all of the game mechanics available so others can decide if the game may appeal to them, the Star-Rating is simply my PERSONAL experience with the game so just because I wasn't thrilled with some of the game's aspects, it certainly doesn't mean it's a mediocre game, it just means that it didn't fit my personal preferences, we all enjoy different things, that's what makes this such a beautiful world :) I will go one step further, if I didn't enjoy a game but thought the game was well-made and may appeal to the masses, I will leave the "Recommend This Game?" Yes/No tab unchecked. If I believe a game is simply dreadful and the developers didn't put forth much effort, I will click the No tab.
You can choose from 3 different difficulty modes, a Hard Mode which has Limited Moves and includes Pests & Skulls Obstacles, a Normal Mode which has no Move Limits but does include Pests & Skulls Obstacles, or a Relaxed Mode with no Move Limits, and no Pests or Skulls Obstacles. The only time I opt for a Limited Moves Mode is when a Match 3 game is strategy-based, unfortunately, this game doesn't really require carefully plotting out your next move. it's just a normal Match 3 game where technically you are at the mercy of where the icons fall. (this isn't a bad thing, it's just how most M3's work, which is my point) They should have included a Limited Time Mode as well and then given us the option to enable/disable the Pests & Skulls on every mode.
The icons are Pirate-related but some of the tiles were too identical in color and I did have issues telling them apart at times, especially if they included the Coin feature that partially covers the icon. Some of the Icons have a small coin on the top corner to earn more gold which is used to build the amusement park and purchase boosters. There are also Treasure Chests to collect which contain more Gold when an adjacent match is made. After completing the level goals, you can opt to continue playing for more Gold or end the game and purchase a new attraction.
There are the usual Obstacles such as Ropes and Crates as well as Mischievous Monkeys who throw bananas that nail down tiles when you aren't looking, or the Jolly Roger Skull & Bones that multiply with every match made. Evil Voodoo Masks block parts of the board and require an adjacent match or Bomb to destroy them.
Large Matches of 4 or more will reward you with a Bonus on the board, such as Bombs or Line Busters. You can also combine Bonuses to create Super Bonuses. Boosters unlock at specified levels, once purchased you can add up to 4 Bonuses at the start of the level.
I wish there was a way to skip the dialog completely. The story seemed over-the-top with excessive Pirate lingo and grammatical errors that made it difficult to understand at times between the pirate lingo and errors. I would also like to see icons with less similar colors (a ton of brows/tans that don't stand out from one another), perhaps some move vivid colors would be helpful? The biggest issue is that you can only play in a Limited Moves Mode (or a Relaxed) which is usually the least-favorite mode for Match 3 fans. The Pesky Monkeys were really annoying to me personally but I didn't mind the skulls or other obstacles. Having a separate option to enable/disable these 2 major obstacles would be fantastic! First of all, Viking Heroes is a really good game with great features, fun Owl Collectibles, and amazing graphics, however, all of their games lately have been really hard to earn all 3 stars on the Normal Mode without repeating each level several times. For me, this takes away the fun for a casual player because I don't see the point of playing a TM game on an Easy Mode with no Timer but I don't want to feel like a failure on every single level either! I'm not a novice player and I do very well with most TM games and I've only had difficulties with the timer on this developer's recent games. I think they need to be a little more lenient with the Normal Mode's timer or they will lose a ton of sales from fans who don't want to play a frustrating game because I have passed on purchasing the last 3 games by this developer because of this...some of which are on my personal Top 10 Favorites list!
You can play in an Easy, Normal, or Hard Mode and there are 40 Achievement rewards available. There are also 21 Collectible Owls, since they aren't available on every level, it would be nice if there was an indicator on the map as to which levels have an Owl.
This Collector's Edition version has 50 Main Levels and 15 Bonus Levels. There are 4 Wallpapers, 15 Music Soundtracks, 21 Collectible Owls, Puzzles, 40 Achievements, and a Built-in Strategy Guide.
I did love the Dinosaurs and Raptors that block your path and that you have to collect resources like water from the well to cool off lava stones before you can remove the rocks. Chests with Renewable Resource Options to choose from Food, Stone, or Wood require using strategy by figuring which tasks will require which resources.
Each level has a Bonus Bar at the bottom of the screen that can be used when recharged. The bonuses help speed up the players, adds +5 resources, speed up factory production, etc. Gems are collected to allow Helga to Cast Magic Spells and some Merchants and Stonehenge allow you to transfer resources such as Gems for Food.
The normal TM tasks are still a staple, building Quarries, Farms, Warehouses, Sawmills, Gem Mines, etc. I love that the sawmills, stone quarries, and gem mines keep producing products even when you don't gather the products immediately, they pile up with a number showing how many are available.
I would have given this game 5-stars (and purchased it) IF the Normal Mode's Timer was a little more lenient, but when I'm playing a level several times in the demo alone, it proves that it's only going to be more difficult as I progress. It really saddens me because I WANT to be able to purchase this game and play it without feeling like a loser and I have no desire to play on an untimed mode just to be playing it. The games by this developer didn't use to be this way until recently so perhaps they need to hire a Normal Player to set & adjust the timer!? I'd love to help because otherwise I will have to pass on all their TM game releases, and I'm sure there are others out there who are passing them up for the same reasons! Stop by my new forum anytime at thewoodsforum.boards.net
I recommend this game!

I love the variety of Hidden Object Modes and the Collectibles offered in Adventure Trip games, and I did purchase this game in the CE version, but the "New York" theme has been the subject of so many HOG's that I just kept getting a deja vu, been there, done that vibe. There are 50 states in the US ( +Washington D.C. & Puerto Rico) yet every HOG developer decides that New York is the only one anybody cares about? Maine is beautiful, Pennsylvania was one of the original 13 colonies and holds a lot of historical foundations, the Dakota's have Mount Rushmore and the Badlands, Georgia has Stone Mountain, Tennessee has the Great Smokey Mountains, heck Florida has some fantastic tourist spots but developers never use these states as a theme?? Let's think outside the box next time :)
You can play in an Easy Mode which has no Timer or Misclick penalties, and the Hint feature recharges in 15 Seconds. The Medium Mode is also Untimed but there is a Misclick penalty and it takes the Hint feature 35 Seconds to recharge. The Hard Mode is Timed and also has a Misclick penalty and the Hint feature takes 60 Seconds to recharge. I played in the Hard Mode and had plenty of time to find all of the items on most of the levels. Some of the objects are very well blended and I thought this game had a better challenge than the previous two games. You can purchase 15 Gifts (points are converted to currency) and each scene has two Zoom Zone areas.
There are 20 Hidden Object Locations (Air Space Museum-Botanical Garden-Brooklyn Bridge-Brooklyn Market-Bryant Park-Central park-Chelsea Market-Coney Island-Grand Central Station-Historical Society-Hotel-Library-Metropolitan Museum-New York Stock Exchange-Pizza Shop-Prospect Park-Rockefeller Center-Statue of Liberty-Theatre-Zoo) Each scene must be replayed several times in several different modes. There are Listed Item Finds, Missing Vowel Finds, Scrambled Letter Finds, Silhouetted Shape Finds, and Matching Pair Finds. Each of the 5 HO Modes has a collectible Apple (can be whole, sliced, missing a bite, etc.) but only 3 of the HO modes has a collectible 8 Ball. Every scene also has a Fun Fact item that is shown before the start of each scene. If you forget to look for the fun fact item, it will remind you at the end of the scene with sparkles & a message. When you find all 60 8 Balls it will unlock Suduko & Mahjong levels, when you find all 100 Apples it will unlock the Unlimited or Freeplay levels. All fun facts are stored in the Diary.
Hidden Object Modes:
➺Abc Mode: Normal Listed Item Finds.
➺Missing Vowels: Listed Items that are missing the Vowels.
➺Scrambled Mode: Listed Item Finds with jumbled words.
➺Silhouetted Shape Mode: Items shown as Silhouetted Shapes.
➺Pairs: You have to find matching pairs of items.
After completing a Hidden Object Scene, there will be a Mini-Game variation to play, such as Spot the Difference, Square Tile Swap puzzles, Match 3 games, Word Search, or a Round-shaped Jigsaw Puzzle which I LOVE! This developer tweaked the Match 3 game to offer powerups which I personally appreciated!
The Collector's Edition version includes 14 bonus locations,
3 extra mini-games and Extra levels to complete. Come join the fun at my new forum: thewoodsforum.boards.net

Completed Game approximately 4.0 hours
(including completion of all mini-games & CE Bonus Chapter)
25 Main Game Scene Locations +11 Bonus Chapter
Difficulty Range: Beginner-Intermediate
I'm giving this new game 4 stars because they shortened the game to 3 Chapters which cut out a ton of repetitive tasks which they always go overboard with. I loved the Witches story vibe which reminded me of my beloved Witches Legacy series #Ele-No Fun-Anymore :( Even though Domini cut out a ton of repetitive tasks, they still opted to cram all the cliche tasks a HOPA gamer knows by heart into one 3 Chapter game so I cannot reward this game with 5-stars. If they bothered to make these games more interesting instead of being lazy and going with the same mechanics game after game, I'd bother to give them 5-stars for the effort!
Audio/Visuals:
Domini has always had crisp, detailed graphics even though they sometimes struggle with the color palette which tends to have an overabundance of one dominant color for each game. The audio always seems spot on and you'll; probably never notice looped soundtracks, but that's exactly how background music should work, it should go unnoticed while subconsciously stimulating the brain to recognize the ebbs, floes, and climaxes of the storyline. Domini is famous for adding items that can be interacted with, however, they seem to be far and few between in this game!
Gadgets/Helper:
Whoo-hoo, there are no gadgets or helpers!
Collectibles & Morphing Objects (CE Version Only):
It's hard to enjoy a repetitive Collectible offered game after game. Domini seems to be the only kid left on the block so I guess we'll be stuck with the same routines? Once again, there are a gazillion Missing Notes to discover, 15 Morphing Ritual Items, and 15 Horror Books to click on. I say click on versus collect because they are never challenging to find nowadays! There are 70 Zoom Zone Dollars that are used to purchase 15 Writer's Desk Items because everyone loves a messy desk?! There is an optional Collection Icon Tab that can be enabled or disabled in the settings menu as well and will light up when there is a collectible in the current scene. You can also choose to show/hide the availability of collectibles on the Map.
Hidden Object Scenes:
There are 13 Hidden Object Scenes +5 in the CE Bonus Chapter. There is an alternate Match 3 Game available, which still doesn't allow you to make consecutive matches quickly because you have to wait for all tiles to stop falling before you can make the next match which makes the game super boring. The M3 boards are always square and they never add obstacles or new features to make it progress in difficulty. FYI: one of the achievements requires you to play the alternate Match 3 game in place of the HOS. (just once) The Hidden Object Scenes vary with Listed Item Finds, Keywords in Sentence Finds over 3 different scenes, Silhouetted Shape Finds, Placing cutouts over the Matching Objects, and placing ritual objects onto numbers on the board according to riddle descriptions.
Mini-Games:
There are 18 Mini-Games +8 in the CE Bonus Chapter. You can choose to play them in an Easy or Hard difficulty mode and you can choose which mode to have them start out in the Custom Setting (you can still switch between modes for each individual game) I didn't encounter any new puzzles, they were all revamped mini-games you've solved a hundred times, such as, pushing frames along a track in the correct order, Rotating individual letters so that when you click the play button they spin into their slots correctly, climb out of a chasm by selecting the correct rocks or sticks to grab (how many times have we played this game!) and no Domini game would be complete without removing vines in the correct sequence!
Bonus Chapter (CE Version Only)
Wind back the hand of time playing as a young Deborah Spellman who is raised by her Grandmother after her parents' death. Learn how Deborah and her sister Lilith were inducted into the Order of Witches and the trials and tribulations of their stolen childhood and how they became the adults they were in the main game. There are 8 additional Mini-Games and 5 Hidden Object Scenes, and you will continue your search for the final Ritual Items, Horror Books, and Zoom Zone Dollars which allows you to purchase the final Writer's Desk Items.
Collector's Edition Extra's: (CE version only)
8 Wallpapers, 11 Concept Art Pictures, 5 Music Soundtracks, 27 Movie Video Cutscenes, 38 Achievements, 19 Replayable Mini-Games, 18 Replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 15 Morphing Ritual Items, 15 Horror Books, a gazillion Missing Notes, 70 Zoom-Zone Dollars, 15 Writers Desk Items (purchase with dollars) 3 Main Chapters, +Bonus Chapter, and a Built-In Strategy Guide. Recently we have been offered some really cool Pixel Art games by other developers and it's hard to go back to ordinary after playing extraordinary. Those other games had so many features that Pixel Art just doesn't have and probably never will, such as, saving levels once started, interesting images with colors that pop, the ability to select background colors from a full-scale palette, a hint feature, and most of all, tools that tell you how many cells each color/number has, not to mention the fact that the current number/color cell shows up with a yellow highlight so you don't have to hunt for an eternity for a few stragglers! One game actually had a map at the top so you could see where the yellow cells were, in this game the cells highlight in grey but for some odd reason, several numbers are highlighted in grey so it's a worthless feature!
The images are never very interesting, the colors are so bland that a strawberry looked anemic! You get to see a handful of images in the demo and you can't even access the other levels to see the upcoming images much less choose those levels until the first level has been completed. Why not allow us to earn points for completing each puzzle to use points to unlock any puzzle we choose?
There's not a whole lot to have to figure out, it's about as uncomplicated and basic as it gets so as long as someone can recognize numbers, they should be able to play! (my 6-year old grandson can play these games) Pixel Art is a computer version of Paint by Numbers, in a pixelated version! Each pixel has a number and you chose the corresponding color bubble from the palette (also numbered) on the right side, and you simply left click to fill in all the numbers with the correct color, you can hold the mouse button and swipe through large groupings as well.
There is a Slider Bar that allows you to zoom in & out (there's a "fit" tab as well) you can also move the entire page around by right-clicking and dragging. There is an auto-fill feature that will fill in large groups of pixels in a particular color by double-clicking, but that feature has to recharge after each use, besides, it's more satisfying to color them yourself. The last feature is a slider bar that allows you to change the color of the background only, it doesn't change the shaded numbers which is kind of the point, it really only allows you to change the colors of the background to shades of grey to black. Basically, this is exactly the same as Mediterranean Journey, it just has new characters and Morphing Objects. I love that this developer is constantly tweaking and adding features so I won't deduct a star for the Morphing Object issue which I will explain in a little bit. As far as the game goes, it's a great little HOG with lots of extra collectibles to find and enjoyable mini-games even though the game is a replica of Mediterranean Journey (perhaps they simply renamed it to allow for a broader destination globally)

The Hidden Object Scenes can be played in an Easy Mode with no Timer or Misclick Penalties, a Normal Mode which is Timed but has no Misclick Penalties, or a Hard Mode which has a Timer and Misclick Penalties. You can earn up to 3 Stars, one for completing the scene, one for finding all of the collectibles Hearts, and the third for finding all GPS Icons. There is a Zoom +/- feature (click to zoom & drag the screen around) as well as a Hint Feature that must recharge after each use. In the Timed Mode, you are given approximately 15 minutes to find 15 Listed items. Each scene has a single Zoom Zone location that contains the final 3 objects, or the first 3 objects, or quite possibly the middle 3 objects, depending on how you look at it.
Each scene contains 1 Gold coin which is way too big to miss. I like this feature but it would be really cool if they added several smaller coins, similar to the Gardenscapes games where coins were scattered throughout the scenes, some were partially hidden and they were always nicely blended into the scenery on that game! It was fun trying to find all of the coins versus just a single giant coin, I wouldn't even care if they told you how many were in each scene because it was like a treasure hunt and each coin gave you added points/money and it didn't matter if you found 1 or 20.
They have added a single Morphing Object to each scene for extra points/money. The problem is, they don't morph! I stared at the objects forever and none of them actually changed, and in level 6 I never did find the morphing object so I clicked on every single object available and none of them was the correct morph?? I love morphs and I know this developer will fix this glitch :)
Each scene has 3 Hearts and 3 GPS icons. Finding all 3 Hearts will unlock 3 new animal pictures (180) in an album. Finding all 3 GPS icons will unlock a new picture of the HO scene location (80 total) You can also purchase 18 Gift Shop Souvenirs with the points/money earned. You can improve your star rating by replaying the scenes, but the objects to find are different each time you play,
After each Hidden Object Scene, you'll play a Short mini-game because obviously, Tall mini-games don't fit into the game very well. Mini-games include Solitaire a Memory Match Card game, Spot the Differences, Mahjong, Heart-shaped puzzle pieces, a Maze where you use directional arrows to guide a puppy icon to the exit, etc.
I'm really looking forward to seeing what this developer comes up with next! Come join us for tons of fun and great conversation on my new forum at thewoodsforum.boards.net

Once again, we get another worthless puzzle game by the same developer who mass-produces cookie-cutter games at a break-neck speed. Just when I thought they couldn't possibly offer a game with more uninteresting images than the last game, they prove me wrong! This game is chock-full of ugly, uninteresting, staged pictures of food...you heard me right, this is a jigsaw puzzle game based entirely on food, 100 jigsaws for Breakfast, 100 jigsaws for Lunch, 100 jigsaws for Dinner, 100 jigsaws for an Afternoon Snack, and 100 jigsaws for Supper! Why on earth would someone want to pay for 500 puzzles of nothing but food, has BF run out of games to offer?
If any of the images offered in this computer version was a real, physical retail boxed puzzle, sitting on a shelf in the puzzle aisle of the store, it would still be sitting there 20 years later, until some kind employee decided to show it some mercy and throw it in the recycle bin! Even if they put a huge sign on it that said "Free To A Good Home" it would be declined by even the most desperate puzzle geeks, bored out of their mind during a Covid lockdown!
You know the drill, nothing ever changes, nothing ever will. There are Achievement Trophies to earn and a Top Scores leaderboard. There are no options to access any of those features to find out what achievements you are striving to achieve. You can save your puzzle progress but you can't save the completed puzzle image nor can you download the image as a screensaver or wallpaper, but then again, who wants wallpapers of food?
There is a box to store extra pieces, but there are no options to categorize, label, or sort these stored pieces, nor is there an option to fetch or retrieve certain pieces because you can't sort and label these stored pieces. The current sort option simply scrambles the pieces to the correct area, such as the top, bottom, right, or left side which feels like you're cheating...that makes no sense? Wouldn't it be nice to have the ability to sort them by the correct rotation, color variations (zebra stripes, blue sky, green grass), or the shape of the puzzle piece? At least it gives you the option to choose the Border pieces separately, but there is no available option to sort the border pieces by shape or color.
There is an option to post a Pictured Image of the puzzle you are working on which also allows you to choose three different sizes of x1, x2, or x3. You can also opt to Ghost the Image on the Background (the puzzle is assembled on top of the ghosted image) It doesn't, however, give you the option to choose the Opaqueness of the Ghosted Image to make the image more or less visible, depending on how difficult you want the puzzle assembly to be. The "ghosted image isn't "ghosted" it's simply a large, stationary picture.
There is an available Magnifying Glass to enlarge sections, as well as a Hint feature in case you get stumped. You can easily become "stumped" because the puzzle connection tabs connecting two pieces together, never appear as an actual match (the tab on puzzle piece A looks nothing like the opening in puzzle piece B) most of the time the colors don't even appear to match up because they are using cheap software. You can also choose the Resolution, opt for a single Custom Cursor (a tiny cursor at that!) or change the color of the background to a pastel shade of Pink, Green, Blue, or Gray. Even though they are pastels, these basic color options tend to be too dark with most of the puzzles, so being able to adjust the intensity of the background colors at the very least, makes sense, doesn't it? Here's a fun fact: Even the oldest monitors can EASILYdisplay 16,777,216,256 different colors, yet we are only given an option of Four of those 16,777,216,256 colors to choose from as the background color!
Any Puzzle offered can be modified with Size options, the Shape of the puzzle pieces, and whether or not you want the pieces to Rotate, but even then, it's not optimized to allow you to assemble a puzzle much bigger than 300 pieces. A 300 Piece Puzzle purchased off the shelf would be labeled for ages +5 five years old and up! There's an old jigsaw meme that says "I just completed a puzzle in one week and the box says 2-5 years"...great motto for Jigsaws by this developer?
Once you complete a Jigsaw Puzzle, you're done, the party's over, you get about 2 seconds to admire your work before the image disappears and the stats pop up...probably for the best! Just walk away and come visit me on my new forum thewoodsforum.boards.net
I don't recommend this game.

Our Beautiful Earth has returned with some amazingly beautiful scenery and tons of animals in all shapes and sizes from tiny grasshoppers to enormous elephants all across the globe. Most of the items are well-blended into the scenery and the graphics are super crisp but it's still really hard to find some of the smaller critters so they definitely need a zoom or magnifying glass feature!

Each of the 30 scene locations has 3 adorable cats that meow when you click on them and you'll earn extra points as well. Each level also has a hidden Camera that will reward you with a location screenshot, and there is a hidden Paw Print Tile of various critters in each level, even though dolphins don't have paws! Wouldn't it make more sense to have the Pawprint Tile open up to reveal that animals real print, even if it's just a flipper or dorsal fin?
Each scene has 2 Sub-scenes or Zoom Zones that will appear as Boxes on the Right side that come and go as objects are found and new ones appear. You can play in a Casual or Challenge Mode, depending on how fast you want the Hint & Puzzle Skip buttons to recharge, and there are no Misclick Penalties or Timers so this HOG is very relaxing, peaceful, and enjoyable to play! The first Star is earned for finding all 18 Listed Objects, a second Star for finding all 3 Cats, and a 3rd Star for finding the Paw Print Tile. Coins earned for completing the HOGs and Mini-games are used in the Gift Shop to reveal animals on a beautiful Wallpaper Scene.
After each Hidden Object Scene, you will play a Puzzle or Mini-Game such as Spot the Difference, Match 3, Memory Matching Animal Card Pairs, Drag Shaped Puzzle Pieces into Place, Rotate & Drag Tetris-shaped Pieces into a Grid, Rotate Circular Tokens to complete a picture or Mahjong. The Spot the Differences images are really subtle so they can be quite challenging and I don't normally like Mahjong but this was a classic Mahjong type that held my interest.
This is a beautiful HOG and perfect for nature-lovers, however, It would be nice if they offered a new feature or a different variation of Hidden Object Scenes, otherwise, it will eventually become stale and boring. At a bare minimum, they need a magnifying glass feature. I recommend this game!

9 Main Game Scene Locations +4 Bonus Chapter
Difficulty Range: Beginner
This isn't a dreadful game, had it been just another Haunted Hotel game I may have given this game 4-stars. But it isn't just another Haunted Hotel game, it is the FINAL game of the series and we deserved more! This is the 20th game in the series, and for those of us who were avid fans and purchased the entire 20 game series, we were shafted. Elephant Games had a duty to give us something spectacular for the final game in the Haunted Hotel series, instead, they gave us an average game, surely not befitting of this beloved series? Elephant Games may not care about Haunted Hotel anymore but I did and we all deserved Elephant's best attempt.
It is abundantly clear that Elephant Games no longer cares, their heart just isn't in it anymore. Perhaps it's because they are struggling financially, or perhaps they are ditching HOPAs altogether. Either way, we deserved more! Did they slap this game together on purpose as a Final Game in the saga to assure that no other developer would be able to continue their Haunted Hotel legacy? If that is the case, then I see their point to a certain degree (even though they didn't actually start the series, just games 5-20)
If they slapped it together because they are struggling financially, then shame on them! I understand businesses struggling during a Covid crisis, but I don't understand why they felt the need to offer subpar, or anything at all if they were struggling? They could have easily revisited this series when things picked back up, a game with the quality we know they are capable of! This may sound selfish, but we remained loyal to Elephant Games and they had an obligation to give us their best, or nothing at all! Instead of hanging their head high as they peaced-out, they now have to hang their head in shame for not only what they gave us, but also for what they didn't give us!
☽☾Morphing Objects/Collectibles: (CE version only)☼
There are only 13 Morphing Character Photos that morphed into objects that looked so out of place you couldn't help but notice them! They morph way too fast, the objects are ridiculously large, they offer no challenge whatsoever, so what's the point? Does anyone else remember how challenging Elephant Games Morphing Objects used to be? I sure do miss that Elephant Games quality! There are also 20 Zoom Zone Puzzle Fragments which create 4 Screensavers, no assembly required.
◔Hidden Object Scenes◕
There are only 9 Hidden Object Scenes +4 in the CE Bonus Chapter, and a handful of smaller Zoom Zone HO's. These were some of the lamest HO's I've seen in a long time. Clearly, no effort whatsoever was spent in their creation because I was able to find every item without ever looking at the list, yea, they were that obvious! There are Interactive List Finds, Silhouetted Shape Finds, Keywords in Sentence Finds, and a single Swatch Find where you find the exact area that matches circular token swatch examples shown. They were super-simplistic and very boring and unfortunately, there were no alternate games available.
♙Mini-Games♙
There are 16 Mini-Games +5 in the CE Bonus Chapter. Although I didn't hate any of the puzzles, I really felt that Elephant Games should have come up with something epic for the finale of such an amazing series. Here are some of the games you'll encounter:
1-Turn labyrinth sections to create a path.
2-Connect the Dots in sequential order...really?
4-Use directional arrows to dodge ghostly apparitions.
5-First, pull the key that will allow the green & white fog to mix, then pull the remaining keys in the correct order to allow James to escape.
6-Move buttons to all slots by using other buttons as bumpers.
7-Press piano keys to toggle the colors until only the 2 squares are green.
✯Bonus Chapter (Collector's Edition version only)✯
Holy Haunted Hotel, it looks like the Ghostly Ship has set sail without you! Your days of haplessly haunting hotels may be behind you but it appears that you didn't get the otherworldly memo on how to cross over correctly. Who ya gonna call? James Blackthorne of course! This is a very short chapter that takes place over a measly 4 scene locations (the same Hotel Scenes as the main game) with just 4 Hidden Object Scenes and 5 Mini-Games. You will complete the collection of the final 4 Morphing Character Photos, and 5 Zoom Zone Puzzle Fragments to complete the fourth and final Screensaver.
♕Collector's Edition Extra's♕
5 Wallpapers, 0 Concept Art Pictures, 5 Music Soundtracks, 20 Achievements, 12 Replayable Mini-Games,12 Hidden Object Scenes, 13 Morphing Character Photos, 20 Screensaver Puzzle Pieces to create 4 Screensavers, a Secret Room (Return to Scenes to Locate HO Objects-timed) Expedition Room (return to scenes to pick up any missed Collectibles) 3 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter, and a Built-In Strategy Guide.
