Once again, this game doesn't work well with my 38" Alienware curved monitor. It stretches the grids to fill the screen making the graphics dull and grainy. Even older games adjust to this resolution by simply adding black bars to each side which keeps the game centered and proportionate while maintaining the graphics quality?!?
The Zen Mode has returned for those who prefer to solve the griddlers without all the hand/flipper holding. In Zen Mode, the numbers aren't crossed off but Mistakes aren't counted against you either, because chances are, you'll have to edit some of the cells as you switch between colors. You can delete filled-in or crossed-off cells by right-clicking the cell in Zen Mode, and you'll know you have completed a particular color correctly because a checkmark will appear on the color bubble.
You can play in a Casual Mode which crosses off the cells one by one, or the Advanced Mode, which only crosses off the remaining cells once the entire row and column have been filled in. You will earn a Gold trophy if you make no mistakes, a Silver trophy if you make one mistake, and a Bronze trophy if you make two mistakes. You will also earn up to three gold Stars if you don't use any hints, one star is deducted each time you use a hint. Therefore, it is possible to make a mistake or two but still earn 3 stars as long as you don't use any available hints.
There are 20 locations, and each location has 5 Griddlers and an additional mini-game. You can choose from 7 different tile sets, ranging in color vibrancy, and styles. Locked Colors can be disabled in the Settings menu, otherwise, some of the colors are locked and unavailable until you uncover color-specific keys that are hidden beneath some of the filled-in cells The Eye feature allows you to hide the grid to get a look at the puzzle without all the grid lines, and there is a reset icon that makes it much easier to restart the level if you make a mistake.
There are groups of numbers located on each column and row of the grid, each group of numbers must be separated by at least one blank or crossed off cell. Sometimes it's easier to cross-off cells that can't possibly contain a filled-in cell, which will reduce the number of cells and narrow the playing field down a bit, when you get stuck, you can switch colors and work back and forth until it's solved.
Some of the cells contain bonuses such as extra hints, extra mistakes allowed, or an extra pickax which allows you to choose which cell you want a hint on, and some cells contain keys to unlock colors (unless you disable this feature in settings) There is a Sun icon as well that when fully charged, will give you a mega-hint, filling in or crossing off a 3x3 area of your choice.

We can all admit that Domini always has amazing graphics and fairly decent fantasy-themed storylines. This is the twelfth game in a row that Domini has released as a "new" series entry, but everyone realizes that they are simply recycling games from their older series and pretending they are brand new series games...and this game is just another game in the Labyrinths of the World series! I don't really have an issue with this, it's actually a genius marketing strategy...however, there is a reason that Domini had to devise a genius marketing strategy in the first place...their average ratings are sinking fast and they only seem to have one diehard fan remaining!
I'll admit that I noticed a change in the game mechanics of Maze of Realities right from the get-go. They finally fixed the achievement pop-ups that would disappear before you could read them because they popped up during a cutscene video or a window showing the item you just received. Their usual MO consists of searching exactly 3 zoom zones per scene and the objects are used within that scene or occasionally the scene prior to which makes it impossible to forget what items are required and where. Not only have they added a few zoom zones, but those areas of interest are located in unusual places, and sometimes with unusual camera angles in an attempt to make the scene more dimensional. I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered that 3 to 4, sometimes even 5 scene locations were unlocked and required me to revisit when I finally found an inventory item. I loved games from yesteryear that had me revisiting the first few scenes even at the end of the game, it was so much more challenging! (such as Dire Grove, Beyond the Invisible)
This tells me that Domini is taking notice, and finally trying to fix the broken! A few games back, I pleaded with Domini to revisit and play older games, hoping they would implement changes by incorporating those beloved features that made older games so much more fun to play.
Unfortunately, they can't seem to figure out that their tasks are cliche, extremely repetitive, and almost always illogical. For example, I filled a large barrel full of water while it was floating in a lake, and then I lifted the entire barrel out of the water and onto the surface which was about 2 feet above the waterline....two strong men couldn't lift this much less 1 woman! To blend with the locals, we had to whip together outfits, the locals were all clean-shaven so naturally, I gave my friend a quick shave. The following cutscene shows my friend clean-shaven as he is facing me but then when he turns to the side he has a full beard, and as he walks away he suddenly goes back to clean-shaven...Atlantis is so magical! Towards the end of the game, I have to use directional arrows to avoid jagged rocks while chasing someone who apparently didn't encounter these boulders because he moved in a straight line and didn't have to stray course even a fraction??
How many times in a single game do you think we want to fan away smoke, (and in every game you've ever developed at that) how many times must we use a clothespin to remove broken keys, or push a key back through onto a newspaper, not to mention using lockpicks or makeshift lockpicks? How many buttons must we use as screwdrivers, how many ladders rungs and bridge boards must we replace using a heavy object for a hammer, how many wheels must we replace, how many times do we have to retrieve items behind thorny branches, underwater, or buried in a dirt pile...no one in their right mind would take the time to bury a broken statue piece or a typewriter key?! Domini****we aren't asking you to move mountains***we just want you to put forth some effort, ditch the repetitive, unimaginative, and boring tasks. I'd rather play a game that only has 3 interesting chapters than a game with 4-9 chapters that are stuffed with the same ole, same ole tasks that are repeated 10-15 times!
Audio/Visuals: In the past, I could never really find fault with the audio or graphics in a Domini game, the graphics are really good even though they tend to be overzealous with the color palette, especially when it comes to the blue & purple hues. Domini is also known for adding items that can be interacted with but as you'll soon discover, these interactions become a rarety after the demo portion! The only area they have issues within this department is with the character's movements which are jerky or have unnatural strides when walking, and the lip movements never match up with actual words spoken!
Collectibles/Morphing Objects (CE version only) Once again, there are a gazillion Missing Notes to discover which is the most worthless and uninteresting feature of all time. There are 15 Morphing Arcalium Flowers, 15 Harper's Belongings, and 70 Zoom Zone Pearls, used to purchase 15 Atlantean Chamber Items. There is an optional Collection Icon Tab that can be enabled or disabled in the settings menu which will light up when there is a collectible in the current scene. You can also choose to show/hide the availability of collectibles on the Map.
Hidden Object Scenes: There are 14 Hidden Object Scenes +4 in the CE Bonus Chapter. The Hidden Object Scenes range from simplistic Listed Item Finds to variations such as Replacing Fruit items from the list into the scene logically, playing dress up by finding Silhouetted Shapes of clothing Interactively, Keywords in Sentence Finds, Swatches Finds, Finding 5 Matching Pairs of Flowers with Interactions, a Recipe-making Progressive-Interactive Silhouetted Shape Finds, Spot the Difference using an arrow to switch between two scenes and a dreadful scene where you are tasked with finding 1 bracelet, 1 earring, 1 beaded necklace, and 1 pendant after sifting thru the sand 4 times. It was dreadful because you had to wait for an eternity for the game to automatically scoop up a load of sand, and several more seconds waiting for the sand to sift through...then you had to endure finding the same 4 repeated objects which were impossible to miss because there are only 6-7 objects in the pile! I don't understand why the HO scenes were so ordinary and the colors so dull when the rest of the game had beautiful colors?
Alternate Match 3 Game: There is an alternate Match 3 Game available (with the same icons!) for those of you who don't want to play a Hidden Object Scene. The Match 3 game still doesn't allow you to make consecutive matches quickly because you have to wait for all tiles to stop falling before you can make the next match which makes the game super slow and boring. The M3 boards are always the same levels, with the same icons. They are always just a square grid with no obstacles to overcome or bonuses to earn, and the difficulty never increases as you progress. FYI: one of the achievements requires you to play the alternate Match 3 game in place of the HOS. (just once)
Mini-Games: There are 24 Mini-Games +8 in the CE Bonus Chapter (not including small HO puzzles such as putting torn fragments together). You can choose to play them in an Easy or Hard difficulty mode and you can choose which mode to have them start out in the Custom Setting (you can still switch between modes for each individual game)
My Top 5 Personal Favorite Mini-Games: 1-Use directional arrows to guide 2 birds to their nests at the top without getting knocked off by moving tokens. 2-Swap triangle puzzle pieces to complete the image. (this was a puzzle always offered by EleFun Games & I loved them) 3-Arrange crates of varying sizes onto a pallet (I wish this involved more boxes or had extra boxes that aren't used to make it more challenging but I love figuring out the perfect combination) 4-Redirect rays of lights using directional mirrors to shine colored light rays to their matching colored gems. (I love this puzzle and would love to see a bigger version) 5-Place wires of varying patterns so they connect to every point on the grid (some wires need to be rotated first)
My Top 5 Least Favorite Mini-Games: 1-Turn all lights on (clicking 1 may affect others) 2-Click to change directional icons then click play to move the newspaper along a path in the correct orientation. (who would bother buying a newspaper if they had to do this every time?) 3-Slide square tiles into an empty slot to recreate an image. 4-Launch the correct matching colored ball down a spiral in the correct order. 5-Place figurines onto their matching colored bases.
Bonus Chapter (CE Version Only) This chapter takes place in the Parallel World that you learn about in the main game. You play a soldier of the kingdom named Saberia who must stop an evildoer who is intent on destroying the barrier that protects the world from the sun. There are 8 additional Mini-Games and 4 Hidden Object Scenes within 10 additional scene locations. You will continue searching for the final gazillion notes, 4 Morphing Arcalium Flowers, 4 Harper's Belongings, and 10 Zoom Zone Pearls which allows you to purchase the final Atlantean Chamber Items.
Collector's Edition Extra's: (CE version only) 21 Wallpapers, 21 Concept Art Pictures, 5 Music Soundtracks, 28 Movie Video Cutscenes, 23 Achievements, 18 Replayable Mini-Games, 18 Replayable Hidden Object Scenes,15 Morphing Arcalium Flowers, 15 Harper's Belongings, and 70 Zoom Zone Pearls, used to purchase 15 Atlantean Chamber Items, 4 Main Chapters, +Bonus Chapter, and a Built-In Strategy Guide.

Dear Developer: After much consideration, I've decided to give up on you. Although I was blown away by Crossroads, I'm confused by the lack of dedication you are putting forth consistently. This game is riddled with mistakes, freezing issues, and non-sensical timeline plots.
You were once my favorite developer, but I've come to the conclusion that you are simply developing bare minimum quality games because you have to fulfill a contract and not because you care about the fans who put you on the map in the first place. Fans like myself who loved your games and thought they blew everyone else out of the park, fans like me who stuck by your side for longer than I should have when I saw the decline.
We are actually pretty darn smart and quite capable of doing more than placing a zillion emblems. We are smart enough to see the decline of quality and can recognize when someone doesn't care about their product. I'm sorry it has come to this, it's not me, it's you! Prove me wrong, please!
GADGETS/HELPER: There are no permanent gadgets (Agent Brown always has a new gadget) but you will play as all 3 characters, Agent Dorian Brown from Mystery Trackers, James Blackthorn from Haunted Hotel, and Anna Grey from Grim Tales...the one who always loses her kid lol.
COLLECTIBLES & MORPHS (CE Bonus Chapter only) There are 12 Morphing Watch or Time Pieces, some of which have the wrong descriptions? There are 20 Puzzle Fragments as well that allow you to download 4 different Scenes when completed. All of the collectibles are located within zoom zones that don't close until you select them so they are hard to miss!
HIDDEN OBJECT SCENES: There are 9 Hidden Object Scenes +5 in the CE Bonus Chapter, and 6 Zoom Zone HO's throughout the game. At first, I thought the HOs were pretty lame but as I progressed I began to notice that some of the objects were well-blended...but then again, some had weird descriptions such as a smilie face called a Badge! Although most of the main HOs are simple List Finds or Silhouetted Shape Finds, they mixed up the styles such as finding objects on Stained Glass, or removing Pairs of Symbols, etc.
MINI-GAMES: There are 15 Mini-Games +8 in the CE Bonus Chapter. Usually, I enjoy Elephant Games puzzles but most of these were super simplistic. The worse part is that starting with the Coin & Cups game the instructions were mixed up, for example, the cups game had directions for the following navigation puzzle, and that navigation puzzle would have directions for the cups puzzle. When you get to the final puzzle of the third and last chapter, there are NO INSTRUCTIONS (just place the monster heads correctly and then repeat the sequence x3)...how do mistakes like this happen Benjamin? Anyway, the puzzles were easily solved on the first attempt, a ton of tile swap puzzles, swap numbers to add up to 15 horizontally, diagonally, and vertically, matching animals to pawprints, balance scales, or repeat the sequence. I did enjoy some of the Triangle swap puzzles!
BONUS CHAPTER: (Collector's Edition version only) I forgot what I was doing, actually, after watching a news brief on a television screen, there's an awkward silent pause and then Anna explains they forgot everything...I haven't forgotten how confused I was by this explanation? Basically, it's the same situation as the main chapter only with a cursed Harp. There are 8 additional Mini-Games and 5 Hidden Object Scenes that take place over 5 additional locations. You'll continue your search for the final 4 Morphing Watch Timepieces and 5 Zoom Zone Puzzle Fragments that allow you to set the final screensaver. After completing the Bonus Chapter, you'll gain entry to the Archives and Expedition Rooms.
COLLECTOR'S EDITION EXTRA'S: 10 Wallpaper, 4 Jigsaw Fragment Puzzle Pictures, 4 Music Soundtracks, 22 Achievements, 13 Replayable Mini-Games, 13 Replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 12 Morphing Watch Timepieces with mixed up descriptions, 20 Zoom Zone Jigsaw Puzzle Fragments, an Expedition Room (return to scenes to search for missed Collectibles & Jigsaw Puzzle Fragments) a Secret Room (Timed HO with trophies) 3 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter, and a Built-In Strategy Guide.

Seven Sails has done it again! They have created another fun and addicting Sudoku puzzle game. This is the kind of game that you get so into that when the demo ends you are taken by surprise...and you will be scrambling to click the "Buy Now" tab, guaranteed!
This is a simple puzzle where you are tasked with placing numbers 1-9 in each Square Grid, however, you must make sure that none of the numbers are repeated within the 3 x 3 square grid or within the vertical or horizontal lines.
This may not make sense until you actually play the game, but I found a method that works perfectly and never gets confusing. Numbers are placed permanently when you left-click but if you right-click a cell the numbers 1-9 show up in white text to allow you to choose temporary possible numbers.
What I do is right-click all the numbers to turn them grey, and then I re-click all the numbers that are within that square cell, then I click all the numbers that are in that vertical column, and finally the numbers that are in the same horizontal row. Now those remaining numbers will show up in the cell as the only possible numbers. After repeating this process with each cell, you can go through and easily figure out the rest by the process of elimination. For example, a horizontal line may have only 1 cell that has the number 3 as a possible number so you can definitely left-click to make that number permanent and solve the puzzle by logical eliminations. Don't forget to remove the temporary numbers (by right-clicking) from the square, horizontal & vertical lines after making a number permanent!

I'll never complain about an Adventure Game release on Big Fish Games, although technically, this is a point & click, escape-the-room game. I'm glad BF has decided to finally offer us games that aren't by the same developer every week, and are finally realizing that there are a ton of Adventure fans who are tired of being offered the same hand-holding games!
Yes, the graphics are basic (you can set the graphics from Low-Medium, or High) and they are dark and dreary, but you have just been sucked into the 14th century (guesstimate) so this is how I'd expect the atmosphere to be!
You can choose to "walk" naturally by clicking on areas you want to visit and wait while your character moves naturally to the area, or you can choose to "teleport" which transports you to the area you click instantly by going to the Options Tab. You can explore the rooms entirely, from floor to ceiling, by clicking and dragging the scene in any direction. Don't worry about getting disoriented or lost, you will be in one room at a time.
If you are new to the genre, I think this is a great game to start out with because it's easy to navigate and the tools you'll find are fairly easy to figure out where and what to use them on. The goal of the game is to find the Iron Key in each room that unlocks the door. Naturally, you'll come across tasks that require a tool of some sort so you'll have to explore the scene to be able to escape the room. There is a Hint Feature but it will only point you in the right direction by clues each time you click the Question Mark icon...which is the biggest difference between Adventure Games and HOPAs.
When you come across something that has an Eye, there's nothing required of the player, it usually just explains what you are looking at, or shows the text of newspaper clippings, etc. Important things will have an icon that says "Inspect" or "Interact" and those usually require finding the right item to interact with them...so far, (entering 5th Chapter) everything has a logical task. Items you need will say "Take" and when you need to use an inventory item, you simply drag the item to the circle icon to use it. If it shows red sparkles it is the wrong item, if it sparkles green, it is the correct item and it will work on the task.
This Collector's Edition version has 12 Wallpapers, 8 Concept Art pictures, 7 Music Soundtracks, Hidden Notes from the Professor, 9 Chapters (rooms) Is it worth the CE moniker? Probably not but if you are an Adventure Game fan, you won't want to wait, and I'm totally okay with the entertainment I'm getting for the price.

One of Amanda's favorite childhood memories was their family trip to The Redwood Forest to visit her Great Aunt Tina who always had amazing stories to tell her about Magical Forest Critters. Now Amanda is returning to the forest as a renowned Biologist to investigate plants that look exactly like humans! Amanda will gain more knowledge than she ever thought possible, as she uncovers corruption at the Redwood Forest!
I absolutely loved this story which reminded me a lot of the Enigmatis series from yesteryear! Friendly Fox knows how to create a wonderful fantasy filled with magic and mystery...perhaps better than any other developer and although the gameplay was fairly easy, I enjoyed this game and loved the morphs & collectibles far more than any game the big D has offered in the last few years!
Collectibles/Morphing Objects: (CE version only) Each scene has 2 of those infamous 4Friends Opaque Collectibles that are really well-blended into the scenery and one of my personal favorite collectibles overall. (my all-time favorite CE feature are non-linear morphs from the original DP series) There is an available pull-out Tab on the left side that tells you how many morphs & collectibles remain in each scene, a feature I for one appreciate.
There are 52 Opaque Forest Animals which unlocks a new Animal of the Forest when you find 5-15-28-40-52 Opaque Animals in the game. My only complaint is that they repeated the same animals, I wish they had used their wonderful imaginations to create several different animals to search for, which in turn would unlock more forest critters!
Each scene also has two Morphing Objects, some of which are very well-hidden and challenging to spot at first glance, others morphed into objects that seemed out of place so they were easily spotted.
Gadget/Helper: Grey the Australian Shepherd is your Helper and he is used 5 times in the Main Chapter to dig dirt or fetch objects. He sits quietly in the Inventory Bar and isn't annoying at any point...he's also adorable!
Friendly Fox loves their Amulets and this game is no exception. When you encounter a magical Forest critter you must first befriend him by feeding him or helping him in various manners. After befriending him you will use your Amulet to scan the scene for 5-6 Fragments which allows you to read the animal's mind as you watch a short video explaining what the animal endured. After the video you will receive that animal's power:
Hidden Object Scenes: There are 13 Hidden Object Scenes +6 in the CE Bonus Chapter many of which are smaller zoom zone HOs requiring you to match identical objects, and of course, there are several HO scenes associated with the Amulet Gadget. Although some of the scenes are duplicated, the type of HO varies each time and some of the variations are quite fun and all of them are very colorful. There are several Interactive List Finds, and Keywords in Sentence Finds as well as Replacing Items into the Scene, Fill in the Blanks by dragging the correct object to each sentence, Pictured or Silhouetted Shape Finds, and Multiples of the Same type.
Mini-Games: There are 12 Mini-Games +5 in the CE Bonus Chapter. Most of the puzzles have been offered a hundred times before, but they aren't necessarily bad puzzles, just nothing new. The infamous games include a game of Cups where you keep track of the cup containing a cat toy, Navigate thru a forest maze using directional arrows while finding and using objects to overcome obstacles, Drop 2 boltcutters to the bottom at the same time, Connect dots to replicate a pattern, Move tokens to matching slots along a track, Sort colored liquids in test tubes, Synchronize 2 radio waves, Light all fuses with the specified number of connections, to name a few. I did enjoy the puzzle where you had to rotate bulbs with different colored bases and place them correctly by following tangled wire paths.
Bonus Chapter: (CE version only) The new director is faced with her first major disaster when a Cyclone threatens the Redwood Forest inhabitants and visitors. Can she save the creatures and the humans in time? The BC spans 7 additional scene locations with 5 mini-games and 6 Hidden Object Scenes. You will complete your Opaque Animal Collection and Morphing Objects (2 per scene of each) which will unlock the final 2 Animals of the forest.
Collector's Edition Version Extra's: 10 Wallpapers, 13 Concept Art Pictures, 5 Screensavers, 5 Music Soundtracks, 17 Movie Video Cutscenes, 15 Achievements (some are available in 3 category progressions) 17 Replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 13 Replayable Mini-Games, 52 Opaque animals (2 per scene) 52 Morphing Objects (2 per scene) 4 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter and a Built-In Strategy Guide.

Legend has it that the Leprechauns Pot of Gold can only be found on the evening of the Solstice. That's exactly what Shannon plans on doing, otherwise, she'll have no choice but to marry Patrick, a man she does not love.
Who says there's only one HOPA developer left nowadays? Not only is Friendly Fox still in the race...they just won the race! What an amazing ride it was, this was a fantastic adventure filled with magical creatures, gold & greed, and mystery abound. I played non-stop because the story...the adventure was awesome. I didn't even have to fan smoke or repeat lame cliche tasks until my finger and mind were numb! Thank you FF for another amazing game, mostly thank you for reviving my faith in HOPA games!
Collectibles/Morphing Objects: (CE version only) There are 50 Opaque Foxes (2 per scene) which unlocks 5 Fuzzy Foxes in the Extra's Menu @ 5-10-28-45-50 foxes found during the game. I love Friendly Fox Collectibles, they remind me of the collectible Owls that were offered in the League of Light series back in the day...so absolutely NO complaints here!
Each scene also has two Morphing Objects. I also love this feature but some of the morphs were very obvious objects and immediately looked out of place. In the past, Friendly Fox seemed to have the perfect recipe for morphs with objects that weren't too small, weren't too large, and they usually blend them by making the objects change into something that was less obvious. (for example, a fairy didn't morph into a baseball in the middle of a forest) Morphs are supposed to be an added challenge, this is one of the reasons they are only offered in the CE version, so please keep this feature challenging, instead of making a huge portrait morph, why not just make something inside of the portrait morph? Why not have a shutter change color rather than adding a morphing weathervane?
There is an available pull-out Tab on the left side that tells you how many morphs & collectibles remain in each scene, a feature I for one appreciate.
Gadget/Helper: There are no Helpers in True Treasure, but Friendly Fox always includes a Magical Gadget. This time it is a Guardian Fox Spirit Bracelet that has an associated repetitive Puzzle and a backstory about each of the Mystical Creatures you'll encounter while searching for the Pot of Gold. The puzzles are basically the same with some minor variations where you are tasked with finding the right circular tokens to complete an image of that specific character. The Bracelet is used 5 times during the main game only and I thought they did a nice job with the backstories and tying them all together.
CHOICES: (POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT) After completing the third chapter, you are given the choice to help Patrick or Liam so Chapter's 4 and 5 cover those 2 characters in order of the character chosen.
At the end of the game, you will be given a second Choice Option to make which slightly affects the outcome. I kind of liked this scenario but I can see where some may not like making this particular decision.
Hidden Object Scenes: I only encountered 15 Hidden Object Scenes in the main game +6 in the CE Bonus Chapter, but there were several smaller zoom zone HOs. Although some of the scenes towards the end of the game are duplicated, the type of HO varies on the repeated scene. Most of the HOs are Interactive List Finds, but they also had Keywords in Sentence Finds, Silhouetted Shape Finds, Multiples of the Same Object, Matching Pair Finds, Swatches Finds, Replace Items into the Scene, and Progressive-Interactive-Silhouetted Shape Finds. Many of the HO scenes include a small puzzle as well.
Mini-Games: There are 22 Mini-Games +9 in the CE Bonus Chapter. I can honestly say that I enjoyed all of these puzzles and they are all completely doable without being frustrating. Although it took me a few minutes to figure out what I was supposed to do, I absolutely loved the Card Game and the Domino Game (in the Bonus Chapter)
Bonus Chapter: (CE version only) Join the two sisters, Glenna and Ita, from the main game, before the grey hair and wrinkles set in as the clock winds back 25 magical years...actually, you'll just be hanging with Genna mostly because Ita gets kidnapped by the Sidhe right off the bat lol. The BC spans 7 additional scene locations with 9 mini-games and 6 Hidden Object Scenes. You will complete your Opaque Fox Collection and Morphing Objects (2 Morphs, 2 Foxes per scene) which will unlock the final 2 Foxes.
Collector's Edition Version Extra's: 8 Wallpapers, 12 Concept Art Pictures, 8 Screensavers, 6 Music Soundtracks, 43 Movie Video Cutscenes, 30 Achievements (10 are available in 3 category progressions) 19 Replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 15 Replayable Mini-Games, 50 Opaque foxes (2 per scene) that unlock 5 Foxes (@ 5-10-28-45-50 foxes found during the game) 50 Morphing Objects (2 per scene) 6 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter and a Built-In Strategy Guide.

I'm impressed, what a unique game with out-of-the-box thinking! Threaded is a new genre by a new developer but they have already won my heart with I Love Finding Cats & Pups (cuz I do love finding cats & pups) This Tiny Little Lion may have entered the market purring, but I have a feeling they are just beginning to find their roar!
This is a Pixel Art/Strategy/Puzzle thinking kind of game, it's not a difficult game to figure out but as you progress, you will be tasked with finding the right combinations to "thread" your design. The game mechanics are simple. draw a line from one matching-colored digit to the other to create a thread (a number 4 to a number four of the same color using exactly 4 squares, number 8 to its matching-colored 8 using exactly 8 squares, etc.) This may sound boring, and it will be for the first few levels with smaller threads, but eventually, the numbers get larger, and figuring out the correct directional combination to connect threads gets more challenging...and you will be addicted!
Squares with a number 1 just require a single click so I would click all the number 1 squares first and then I would start in the bottom right corner and work my way out and up. I would fill in lower numbers first as I worked my way to the left, and upward, one section at a time. This way you can start to see the patterns when smaller numbers with no other combination possibilities surrounded the large numbered areas. Sometimes, you'll just have to keep trying different patterns when making connections if you block the path of another number.
If your thread took a wrong turn, the incorrect placements will have an X once you complete a thread. I found that the X's don't appear every time, and sometimes I would get jammed with an impossible connection pattern if an incorrect thread pattern blocked further moves so I'm assuming some puzzles could have multiple pattern options? (or perhaps you have to earn the X hints by filling in more cells correctly?)
There is a "Solve Line" feature that must recharge each time it is used. You can zoom the screen using the + & - tabs, and there is a magnifying glass feature but I have had no issues seeing the screen in a normal mode so far. I will say that some of the numbers were too close in color. It was difficult to see the difference between shades of some of the colors, especially the darker colors so I'm pretty sure color-blind people will find this game frustrating. (two of my kids are color-blind, it's very common, 1/12 men and 1/200 women are color-blind!)
Before the start of a puzzle, you are given a clue as to what the embroidered puzzle will be, such as "Though I have no arms & legs I do lack, I still carry my home upon my back" After completing the puzzle you get to answer a really fun Trivia question that ties into the image (choose from 3 answers) such as the name of the voice actor for Speedy Gonzales. I loved these trivia questions!

I can't think of a single reason a solitaire fan would pass on purchasing this game. While most developers are offering less and less nowadays, Suricate Software crams the entire Atlantic Ocean into every game...and who doesn't want to rebuild Atlantis?
This is a Higher/Lower Solitaire, but they also offer a Classic Solitaire Bonus Room that has Klondike, Spider, Freecell, Yukon, Pyramid (my favorite), and Baker's Dozen. As you progress, you will unlock 12 Different Solitaire Versions with the Stars you earn playing the Main Game, and these Bonus Solitaire Game variants always differ from the previous Atlantis Games!
There are 200 main Solitaire Levels that can be played (or replayed) in a Relaxed, Normal, Timed, or Hard Mode. There are 24 Achievement Trophies to earn and I highly recommend that you read them before starting the game because you can earn a Trophy just for selecting various option settings, such as Custom Cursors, watching the Credits, or changing the Card Backs! There are 4 Card Backs to choose from and 3 Card Fonts, a traditional, antique, and themed style.
The goal is to Remove Cards that are either one card Higher or one card Lower than the Deck Card...AND you get to remove all of the cards on the board, not just the special "gold cards-game over" which is the case in those cookie-cutter Solitaire Games by the Basement Floor developer! Each level has at least one Emerald to uncover, the Emeralds are used to purchase Castle sections, and rebuild Atlantis! (The completed Castles then become available as Wallpapers)
Some Cards contain Coins that can be used in the Shop to purchase Power-ups, Wildcards, or convenience features such as a Deck Card Counter~Earn Extra Gold~Remove a Random Card~Remove a Specific Card~Reveal some Face Down Cards~Extra Shuffle and Undo features~Card Specific Wildcards~Jokers, and the Chance to Receive Wildcards and Jokers during the Levels.
As you progress, Obstacle Cards are added to the challenge, such as Lock & Key Cards, Frozen Cards that require two Plays to remove them, Chain & Hammer Cards, Ribbon & Scissor Cards, Seaweed & Sword Cards, Red & Black Sealed Cards or Suit Specific Cards that require removing Red and Black Suit Cards or cards in a specific Suit, such as Clubs, Hearts, Diamonds or Spades, Arrow Cards that increase or Decrease the card value, and that dreadful Kraken that wraps his tentacles around cards and doesn't let go for the specified number of moves...after that he lets go for a specified number of plays until you remove the card.
Collector's Edition Extra's: The CE version includes 200 Extra Solitaire Levels, 6 Classic Solitaire Bonus Levels (Two Bars~Double Easthaven~Busy Aces Twice~Twenty-One~Cornet~Tarbart), 120 Extra Mahjong Games, 120 Extra Challenge Levels, 120 Extra Supersized Levels, 120 Extra Match 2 Levels, 5 Extra Castles, 24 Achievement Trophies & Bonus Achievements, 6 Wallpapers & Extra CE Wallpapers, 10 Music Soundtracks, 4 Card Backs & 4 CE Extra Backs, The Making Of, and 4 Extra Shop Items.
My favorite features in this game: 1- Optional Caves to explore as a Side Quest. The Quests require you to play 4 Challenge levels that reward you with extra coins, emeralds, and new fish. 2-Challenge & Supersized levels that have a ton of cards to remove. It's really satisfying to make huge chains, not to mention that they take longer to complete versus the regular levels that seem to be over within less than a minute. 3-I love that you can click on the screen to quickly bring up the score window, or get to the map rather than waiting for all the theatrics to finish...I have a need for speed, or at least a need to quickly move to the next level lol 4-Love the fish! It's a really cool feature that allows us to select and buy colorful fish to add to the screen!
Lets talk about Jewel Match...join the fun at my new forum thewoodsforum.boards.net

I've always been an animal lover so this series automatically calls to me, besides, who doesn't love these adorable cats and kittens? The scenes are real locations that most would probably love to visit in real life, and they include a bit of Trivia before each scene. I also love that the objects aren't so obvious, and the fact that you can play this game as a chilled-relaxed kind of game if you prefer (no penalties or annoying Time Meter...or you can Go For Gold and replay the scenes until you earn a Gold Star. (you'll earn a Bronze, Silver, or Gold Star depending on how many combo points you earn for back-to-back finds)
Each HO scene has about 18 Listed Items to find with a Secondary Zoom Zone Scene. The listed items are highlighted to show which items are available in the current scene (if the listed text is opaque it indicates that item is not located in that scene but it will appear in bold print when you switch to the zoom zone or vice versa) You will visit Lampung-Goa-Manhattan-Pismo Beach-Daegu-Christchurch-Trentino-Brooklyn-Syracuse-Ubud-Copenhagen-Savannah-Ise-Lozere-Crete-Split-Bruges-Avon. There are 3 different HO Scenes per location, a Spot The Difference Scene, and a Mini-Game per scene as well.
There are definitely MORE cats! Each scene has 16 Cats total (main scene + Zoom Zone) and they have done an amazing job hiding these cuddly critters but if you think like a cat, the hiding places usually make sense, lol. Each scene also has 3 beautiful Morphing Butterflies and they can be quite challenging to spot in some of the scenes...but that's how Morphs are supposed to be, they are supposed to be challenging to spot, otherwise, they would just be another Listed Item to find! I would strongly suggest that Tiny Little Lion consider adding a Strategy Guide to their CE versions that at a bare minimum shows the location of all Cats & Butterflies, that way they can get as challenging as they want with their placement and still have a cheat sheet if we decide to give up the search!
The graphics are amazing, even when using the Magnifying Glass feature. This allows you to zoom in to the scenes (including the secondary zoom zone area) by double-clicking, or scrolling, you can even click on the magnifying glass and THEN scroll to zoom in even closer...and the graphics still remain crystal clear! The Audio will probably go unnoticed (until you collect a kitty) which is exactly how it's supposed to be, setting the mood without being overbearing or annoying.
There is no Timer and no Misclick penalties but you will earn more points for making back-to-back consecutive finds (Combo x1, x2, x3, x4, etc.) It's designed to allow the player to set their own pace because you aren't racing against the clock, nor will you get a stern warning if you make too many misclick mistakes. You will earn a Gold, Silver, or Bronze Star depending on how many points you earn, so making combos is vital if you want to earn the Gold Star. This is one of the few HO games that I actually enjoyed replaying the scenes! If you replay the scene, you won't have to look for the cats or butterflies you've already found, I take advantage of this and take my time searching for all collectibles first, then I locate the objects at my own pace. After completing the scene, I'll replay it, and because I have no collectibles to search for, I can usually find the Listed Objects back to back the second go-round which gives me enough points to earn Gold, (the items don't change their location, but the items to find will change with each replay) There is a Hint feature available as well, however, you will earn extra points if you don't use the hint feature.
Each Hidden Object Scene will list the number of Cats available on the left side of the Inventory Bar. (16 total) Finding the cats allows you to adopt 20 adorable and cuddly cats. Each scene lists the number of Morphing Butterflies (located under the Cat Icon to the left of the inventory bar) and both icons keep track of the numbers found...love this feature! Any of the HO Scenes can be replayed to search for missed cats and butterflies.
After every HO Scene, you will play a Spot The Difference game which has 2 more Cats to find! After completing the Spot The Difference game you will get to assemble some type of Cat-themed puzzle, such as clicking on square tiles until the correct image has been discovered. My personal favorite was a jigsaw puzzle of two cats napping on a rug and the puzzle pieces were shaped like arrows which made it a bit more challenging.
This Collector's Edition version has downloadable Cat Wallpapers +5 Extra Cats, 10 Developer Cats with bios +6 Extra Dev Cats, 13 Music Soundtracks, 6 Extra Bonus Chapters (Colmar-Rome-Penang-Marrakesh-Redondo-Gelthoorn), 12 extra Mini-Games, and 5 extra Adoptable Cats. ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ
