I beta tested this game a while back and one of the comments I made then was that the plot was demented, but the content, especially the introduction trailer, looked too fake. I suggested that many gamers, including myself, loved this genre of game and were definitely wanting content that was over the edge. Personally, I would love to play a hidden object game that scares me, I want something realistic, something apocalyptic, scare me if you can! A few things were changed. I feel as though this game, much like Ravenhurst, has attempted to take the game just to the edge, to the fringe, but not quite over the line in an attempt to see what the reactions might be. For that I applaud, but, the graphics in the Dark Falls Asylum are poor, yet the main character, Holly is very lifelike, again maybe this is an attempt to dilute the fringe, maybe I'm just reading between the lines too much. The story is about two sisters and the paths they chose after their mothers death, Holly too young at the time to understand, hasn't heard from her sister since she disappeared without a trace, 10 years ago. A messenger delivers a letter to Holly in the middle of the night asking her to meet her at the Dark Falls Asylum. The Asylum has been abandoned for years...or has it? The feeling of being watched sends shivers down your spine, is it your imagination? Do vampires and zombies exist? Had the Asylum being using patients for some twisted experiments or are they simply ghosts or a manifestation of pure evil? This game doesn't have the bells and whistles some of the CE contain today, but it does make up for it with a suspenseful plot that will dangle a carrot in front of you urging you onward to find out who Dahlia is. There are 15 statues to collect and you can read a short bio on each individual you collect. The hidden object scenes are interactive list finds that have several zoom in areas with even more items available. There aren't a lot of mini games and some might be disappointed with the simplicity of them, mostly jigsaw puzzles or completing a picture with several different shaped pieces. There are wallpapers, deleted scenes, HO, puzzles, bonus game, and some pretty fantastic music available in this CE. If you can get past the graphics I think you will enjoy playing this game.
I recommend this game!

I must admit that I enjoyed this game much better than the first game but in all fairness younger kids may very well like this game. Angela is still trying to make her way back home from the dreamworld and find her kitty before she returns. This is a seek and find game with interactions such as finding a key to unlock a drawer or using a crowbar to pry up a floorboard. There are list finds, finding the item that matches the silhouetted shapes, and finding multiple items such as 4 brushes and 6 insects. This version isn't quite as cartoonish as the first and the mini games were more fun such as a game of blocks where you must move blocks up and down or horizontally until Angela's boat has a clear passage out.
I don't recommend this game.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it! BEWARE! There are all kinds of crazed red eyed evil crows flying all over this town and if you're afraid of a flock of crows, give it a few minutes because they're going to converge into one giant evil entity! Quality, pure and simply, quality. That's the first thing you're going to notice folks the quality and professionalism of the leading trailer, quality and realism of the characters voices, and quality of the graphics, the HOS and mini games. The story is told that Greta entered the forest when she was told not to and she encountered a great evil. Out of nowhere, a glowing fox appeared, one of the Guardians of the Forest, to protect her from this evil. The hidden object scenes are progressive silhouetted shape finds where you find the first item that matches the silhouetted shape and then use that item in the scene in order to find the next item. Every HOS has a mini game inside such as matching two alike tiles or arranging metals so that each line has 4 different metals both horizontally and vertically. You will also need to find pieces of the Owls ancient Guardian Amulet that was broken during a fight with one of those evil crows. I will admit I liked the CE better because I loved looking for those hidden squirrels. I Love the story and this is one of my favorite genres and aren't you curious to find out who the Guardians actually are? Enjoy!
I recommend this game!

I wasn't that thrilled with this game, there just wasn't anything exciting about the story or the hidden object games. Virginia and the Professor have found the missing galleon they were searching for. Columbus had just rowed away from the ship to retrieve a map when the ship disappeared. Now Virginia has discovered a time portal onboard the ship. You can choose a scrolling feature or the normal stationary scenes and can choose expert settings to do away with the glitter hints. Some of the items you find will go into your backpack which can be used for activities such as using a crowbar to open up a hatch or you can turn on your flashlight when it's dark. Whenever the portal appears you need to put on your special sunglasses in order to find items on the other side. This isn't a horrible game, it's just nothing to write home about.

The pearl necklace crafted by Zeus himself, has been stolen and you must search, and find this necklace before Zues discovers it's missing! This is a really nice hidden object game that is suited for young and old alike with cartoon style graphics centered around Greece. Each scene has 2 pink gems to collect that are not on the list and these recharge your hint meter faster. Some items you find will be used to interact with something in the HOS such as using a key to open up a chest. I really have to give this game credit on some well done and entertaining mini games such as re-playing the same tune as the multicolored magical orbs which also light up. This game has a cute story with relaxing hidden object scenes and plenty of interactions, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

A love scorned Bride climbs to the top of the Abyss and throws her ring into the darkness professing to curse the man who broke her heart and anyone related as well! It's 25 years later and your twin sister Lillie is about to be married when a giant bear wreaks havoc and kidnaps Lillie. Now it's off we go into the dark forest where legends have made the villagers fearful because of the Abyss! I can't say this is one of my favorite Grimm Tales, but I can still say it's a fantastic game. The game starts out with an interesting mini game almost immediately. The necklace you made for Lillie is broken and you repair this necklace in three steps. First you fix the petals on the main flower by matching up the patterns on the petals. Then you slide gemstones along a pattern until the gems match the color of the flowers center. Then the last part of the flower requires you to connect a gold chain that connects to it's matching flower. There are 30 hidden spirits to collect and you can earn achievements such as rescuing a mischievous kitten that will be along for the ride. There is a book of elusive objects which gives life to the local legends as well. The hidden object scenes are fragments that you find to make a single object whole and you can choose a game of domino's instead. Things have changed up a bit from the usual Grimm Tales which I'm sure will disappoint some but thrill others, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

I'm not sure what audience this game was geared for because younger kids aren't going to do well with the complicated mini games, but everything else is designed for the young or young at heart perhaps. Princess Nire has dreamed of having a carnival with all it's rides and goodies so it's off to have some fun! You will first have to find an envelope which will reveal the location you are going to, and once there you will need to find 10 tickets in order to play a game. Some of the scenes have hidden object games and you might find tickets there as well so keep a lookout. There are also 20 gumdrops spread throughout the game as well. Once you have found your tickets you return to the attraction to play a game. Each game requires you to win the small prize, followed by medium and then large. In the dart game you need to burst balloons of whichever color is indicated, three games in each level which progress in difficulty. You can choose casual or expert difficulties. I actually loved the ball toss game where you had to hit a target such as wizards, princesses or dragons, if you click the mouse and hold down for a moment the ball is thrown with more force. I thought the mini games were very entertaining, but the hidden object games were very simple and not very much fun. It is still a game with a great concept, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

You are given an Amulet that allows you to travel back in time to the 16th Century to stop the conspiracy to poison King Henry II. The only way back however is to find all the pieces lost from this very same Amulet. I like the unusual aspects of this hidden object adventure where you search several rooms in order to find all the objects needed to progress. You can toggle between the objectives and inventories and I must admit that I used the hint button more than once to figure out which room to go to next. There are a lot of HOS and you may have to zoom into one section to do another HOS or even go to a different room to complete the task. Most of the mini games involve turning rings to complete a picture or untangling buttons attached to strings, none are difficult and most are fun. I liked the 16th century surroundings and the way that ghosts popped out of nowhere, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

This game reminds me of one of my favorite games, Haunted Domains, with exceptions. The graphics are of such poor quality that everything just blends together, the huts look like sand and nothing stands out. If you can overlook the basic archaic graphics, the game will have you hooked in no time. The huts require either maidservice, or waiters they may want ice cream or fruity drinks, and you retrieve those items by clicking on the person or item and delivering them to appropriate places again by clicking. At first your tray only carries two items at a time but everything is eventually upgraded as you progress including extra employees. Ho Hum on their version of tropical but the concept is there, enjoy!

This is one of the better TM games out there and I really love the 3D graphics. The king is trying to "find" a new hero to send on a mission to help his brothers in need. You need to chop down trees and repair bridges and gather food and gold. You need to be strategic when constructing buildings, sawmills need to be built in order to build houses and you will also need money to build or repair so you might want to upgrade a hut for more rent. You will repair markets in order to purchase food for the workers. Each level starts out with 3 stars and as the timer drains down, the stars diminish as well. The houses and structures are colorful and the tasks progress nicely making this a very entertaining game, enjoy!
I recommend this game!
