I know there is a ton of reading with this game but if you can get past that (just skip it if you don't care about the story) there are a ton of really well done hidden object scenes and fun mini games. Each hidden object scene has a clock, which is more of a pocket watch, that you can click on to earn an extra hint. This is a murder investigation conducted by Nichole Bonnet an FBI agent that has been investigating the murders of several antique shop owners. There are inventory items that you will find in the HOS such as a key to the desk drawer and once open you have to find several pieces of paper that have the safes combination written down and then torn up. You put the pieces of paper back together by clicking to pick up the pieces and then right clicking to rotate. You then use this combination to open the safe for more clues as to what the killer is after. I was bothered by the reading at first, just like the other reviewers, but then I really started to get into the story and it was quite interesting. Try giving this game a chance, you can always click to speed up the conversation to get to the hidden object games, enjoy!

Great hidden object concept, but wow it's very confusing and somewhat difficult to figure out. The tutorial is helpful but doesn't explain near enough in my opinion. You start out with a few hundred dollars (in New York that's chump change) You go to the local gallery where you purchase paintings that are guaranteed originals. There are 3-4 paintings to scroll between and you have to match up the exact items that are in circled tiles at the bottom, which could be a vase or simply a piece of clothing or decorations. Once you have found all of the hidden items you can then choose which of the paintings you want to purchase, each piece has a different price so keep that in mind when you have limited funds. Then you need to sell the painting for a profit so you can travel to another city such as San Francisco or London, more cities open up as you progress. You can sell your painting to another gallery, again finding hidden objects until the gallery owner makes you an offer, which hopefully will be for a profit. You can buy and sell paintings at the local cafe's if there are any customers available. The part I liked the best was the Auctions. You can buy a painting at the auction if you have enough money to keep up with the bidding against 3 other bidders. You quickly click on the bid icon and a hidden object icon shows up which you need to find as fast as possible which "stuns" your other bidders until they are out of the bidding process and you win. Some paintings aren't guaranteed to be originals, especially at places like cafe's. You need to click between the painting and a photocopy of the original, as many times as you want to search for differences between the two pictures, if you find a difference, the painting is a fake and you don't buy that painting. All of this seems confusing to say the least, it is, but you will catch on after 5 minutes or so and actually look forward to buying and selling beautiful art, enjoy!

This is a game that is difficult to navigate through. Basically the main character is working with the FBI to solve a case where art thieves are stealing the original paintings and replacing them with counterfeit paintings. You have to click on your computer to open up your e-mail which will show you a painting of which you click on to spot the fake, or spot several differences between two almost identical paintings. The differences are very noticeable at first but they seem to get a little more difficult as you progress. There are mini games such as figuring out what 4 colors of chemicals to mix together by putting different color combinations on a sheet of paper. Once you have all 4 colors on the paper a checkmark will indicate the correct color in the correct spot, a question mark will indicate the correct color but wrong spot and of course an x indicates that color is not used. I really got annoyed by the lady saying you have an e-mail (which sounded like you have emanuelle) over and over. I think the game would have been more fun if the computer wasn't involved in the game.

This is a hidden object game in which you click and drag the entire scene and you can zoom in and out as well. I really like the story in which a rich eccentric and keenly punctual man, Phileas Fogg, takes the bet that he can travel around the world in 80 days. You get a total of 6 hints until you will need to find hidden stars that will replenish the hints. You search the rooms indoor and out for the listed items, some of the items you find will be used as inventory such as a key that will be used later to open the safe. There are also scenes in which you find multiple items such as 15 horseshoes, newspapers or even cards where you find all spades or all odd numbered cards. There are mini games such as finding matching gears or swapping tiles to form a complete picture. I really enjoyed this game which seems very laid back and relaxing, enjoy!

I am a big fan of TAPS and I thought this game was very unique. You are investigating the houses, factories, warehouse, loading docks etc. in the town of Kotsmine Hills where many people were killed when a fire broke out at the factory and quickly engulfed the town. You get the choice of 1-4 rooms that cameras are set up in and you need to find all 15 items on the list, but, you only get a flashlight to search for these items, just as they do on the paranormal shows. Each room has 3 ghostly faces to find which give you up to 3 hints, if you already have 3 hints you get extra points. Some of the rooms will replace the flashlight with a thermal image camera or an emf reader which is a feature I haven't seen before. The mini games were fairly easy such as placing fuses of 4 different colors into 4 fuse slots. Once you put the fuses into all 4 slots you turn the power on and it will kick out the incorrect fuses. The only thing I really disliked about this game was the score tallies after each room that took forever, and you couldn't do anything but wait for the tallies to stop. I know that some people will hate the fact that you have to search hidden object scenes with a flashlight, but you get used to it fairly quickly so give it a chance, enjoy!

First of all this TM game has timed and untimed modes which I know will please a lot of people. You will earn 1-3 gold stars on each level and those stars are used to build the city. Each level has a different set of goals, you need to chop down trees for wood, clear paths, pick berries, fish, trade with the Indians etc. You have to mine gold and build different structures to pan for gold or put up fishing tents for food. You can hire new workers and there is a button to push when fully charged that makes the workers move faster (that button must be corporate) This is a fairly easy game to play, very entertaining, if I'm not mistaken, this game is also available in an Alaskan theme, enjoy!

This game needs to be played for about 10-15 minutes before you can appreciate it because the first few levels are tutorials and very repetitive. At the start of each level, you are given a quest such as adding a laboratory or diagnosis room or earning $500. Before you start the level you need to restock your supplies of ice packs, heat packs and various medications, each item cost money so you need to figure out how many items you can afford. When a patient comes in an icon will appear that indicates what the primary symptom is, such as a sprained wrist or ankle. You click on the patient and a pie chart appears on the right with 4-5 possible diagnosis and all of the symptoms the patient is experiencing is on the left. You then decide what the problem is, such as a headache with a sharp pain behind the eyes, matches the diagnosis of sinusitis. You then choose which treatment to use from a list of 4 possibilities in this case nasal spray is the correct treatment. Other diagnosis options are sprains, pneumonia, colds, strep throat, myalgia and even eye sties, with treatment choices of hot and cold packs, NSAIDS, nasal sprays and paracetamol, as you progress new treatment plans become available. You start out as an unknown Doctor and earn awards that boost your neighborhood status to barely known and so forth until you become a very likeable and well known Doctor. At first glance, I really thought this would be a very boring and slow paced game but it does progress nicely and the higher the levels, the more things there are to choose from which keeps the pace interesting, so don't give up to quickly and I think you will have fun, enjoy!

You have gorgeous hair, it's mine now, and your wife has such beautiful eye color, I think I'll have those as well! Somebody is robbing the wealthy nobles (because it's easier than finding poor nobles) of their custom made jewelry. The thief doesn't stop there, he then robs that person of their body parts, eyes, hair, and who knows what else! How can you stop a man that can change his features instantly? This is yet another brilliant European Mystery, centered around the streets of Rome, Italy, where a very good friend of yours has asked you to come out of retirement and join him in this investigation. You will rescue a circus ermine from a tiny cage and once you give him a proper name, he will help you out during the game with such tasks as retrieving items that you can't get to. The local jeweler has become one of the suspects victims so you borrow his latest invention, a box that charges crystals and converts a blueprint into an actual 3d object. First you need to charge the crystal with a light source. Once you find a blueprint and all of the ingredients needed for a particular item, you open up your jewelry box and "paint" the blueprint with gold, silver, emerald, sapphire, copper and other elements and then create the item with the charged crystal. The hidden object games are very interactive list finds that may require you to find a magic wand and use that wand on a top hat and a rabbit pops up with a banana which you give to a baboon in exchange for a mallet. The mini games are entertaining, not new, but still classic games. My favorite game was a board with several tiles that have either a number 2, 3 or 4 on them. You have to move each tile the exact number of moves as indicated, without blocking another tiles move. The game itself is professionally produced with stunning graphics and so much to do in each scene that you cannot possibly get bored. I think this Standard Edition is a really good value, especially if you don't care about the frills that come with the Collectors Edition, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

You just got hired at the local antique shop to travel to different locations in search of antiques. You need to search the rooms for listed items within a certain time period. Some of the items you find are used as inventory items such as sledge hammers or ladders. When you find the main item you are looking for or as indicated by a picture on the top right side, you click on the flashing light and it will show you the matching item you need to locate to make that item more valuable. Then you go to the Antique Roadshow with your antique to see how much it's worth. There are mini games in between such as finding several alike buttons in a huge pile of buttons, or puzzles that need the tiles swapped to make a complete picture. I found several of the listed items were unrecognizable because of the tiny size, and the Antique Roadshow theme music was cool at first but became horribly repetitive after a few minutes. This isn't really a hidden object game, it's more of a seek and find game because items aren't hidden, they are just sitting around with a ton of random items.

This game took me several minutes of playing to appreciate it, but once I did it was actually quite fun/frustrating. The goal of this game is to earn money by opening up antique shops, one at a time starting in New York and expanding as you progress. You start out with a basic shop, one employee and a handful of items to sell. When a customer walks into the shop you click on the counter and then click again on the customer to find out what item they want. An icon of the item or items show up and you click on those exact items so your employee retrieves them, click again on the customer to deliver the items, and again to collect the money. As you progress, the customers arrive 2-3 at a time and order multiple items. As you make money you can use that money to buy bonuses that allow your employee to carry more than one item, or upgrades to the shop which keeps the customers happier for longer. Nice TM game, not sure why it's listed under the HO category, enjoy!
