They have shaken things up a bit on this Big City Adventure. This is the first Collectors Edition available in this series with such features as a Walkthrough, Wallpapers, Screensavers and a new achievement system for a total of 12 achievements to earn. You still chose a character, mother, father, sister, brother, grandma or grandpa. You will read a postcard that gives you a little bit of information about the location you are heading to and then you search for hidden objects in that area. After each HOS you complete a mini game such as clicking on groups of two or more identical tiles until all wooden background tiles have been busted. Each scene contains hidden coins for extra hints, extra time and extra points, enjoy!

Lies! Everything you knew as a child lies! You keep having haunting recurring nightmares, you are in the Dark Falls Asylum, blood is everywhere! Bodies being drug by something or someone horrible, something made of pure evil! But this night is different, this is the night a messenger delivers an urgent letter, a letter from your sister Heather. You haven't heard from Heather since your mother passed away, but how does she know about Dark Falls, it's only a dream, right? I beta tested this game and it leaves me hungry for more! Dare I say I love the edgy attempt of fear, I want more, more games like this, and don't hold back! I have never played a game like this, I have never felt so involved playing a game. For the first time I felt a connection with the main character Holly, not just a generic feeling, a genuine feeling. Surely the developers of this game know they are bridging a wide gap that is standard in most games of this genre. Sure you are a detective or paranormal investigator wandering around an abandoned town, but you aren't connected with that character, you are just moving that character along. There is just something about the rustic graphics of a long abandoned asylum, subtle music that has been choreographed to surprise you, scare you, and plain and simply make you edgy, and a main character (excellent lifelike graphics) that almost anyone can relate to. I'm not even going to go into details about hidden object scene or mini games, they are excellent as well trust me. This folks is a game with backbone, and it's not going to be for everyone, please keep in mind that this game pushes the boundaries, blurred lines so to speak. If you don't like the horror genre then pass this one up, but if you are a fan like me, bring it on! Enjoy!
I recommend this game!

My favorite Big City Adventure games so far are London and Paris but this one definitely made my favorites list. You get to chose which character you want to be, mother, father, sister, brother, grandma, grandpa and two new characters, Koala and Wallaby. You get to read a postcard with some interesting facts about the destination you are going to visit and you search that destination for listed hidden objects. There are coins to collect that aren't on the list which gives you extra time, extra hints and extra points. My favorite mini game was bopping the crocodiles on the head without bopping the platypus on the head as they pop up. This is a very cute and fun hidden object game with a down under vibe, enjoy!

Apparently I need to visit France because my two favorite Big City Adventure games are the London and Paris editions. Each scene starts out with a postcard that gives you a little information on the location in Paris that you are going to visit next. The hidden objects are listed and there is usually a place that zooms in to find other items. There are coins that aren't on the list but when you find them they give you extra hints, extra points or extra time on the clock. After each HOS there is a mini game to complete such as puzzle rings, and it will show you the next destination. The graphics are well done and there are achievements to earn as well. This is a really fun and relaxing seek and find game, enjoy!

I wasn't as big of a fan of this Big City Adventures, the graphics are just okay and the portrayal of New York City wasn't very favorable. You choose which family member you want to be, mother, father, sister, brother, grandma, or grandpa. A post card will tell you a little information about the destination you are heading to next. The hidden objects are list finds and there are coins available that aren't on the list that give you extra hints, extra time or extra points. If you don't use the coins you receive more points. Some of the areas can be zoomed into to search for more items. This game was just okay in my opinion, I liked London the best, enjoy!

This is only the second Big City Adventure game that I have played so far, and even though I really liked my San Francisco Adventure, I really loved this London Adventure. The graphics are much better, there are achievements to earn such as "no mis-clicks" and they have done a really nice job of concealing the hidden objects. The destination are good, such as Oxford Street or Scotland Yard, there isn't just a huge pile of junk, you actually have to look really hard for items that blend into the scene. There is a postcard that pops up with some interesting facts about the upcoming location, and there are clever mini games such as connecting wires from start to finish. Each scene has hidden coins for extra hints, extra time and additional points, if you don't use the coins you get more points at the end, enjoy!

This is a really fun (and educational) hidden object seek and find game. You get to choose which family member you want to be such as mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, sister and brother. Each scene has several list hidden objects to find and coins that aren't on the list that give you extra hints, 2 extra minutes on the timer, and coins that give you extra points when used. Some of the items are really well hidden! After the HOS, you play a mini game to find out your next travel destination such as, a matching 2 or more tiles in a group, jigsaw puzzles and clicking on the exact matching picture tile as shown at the bottom of the board. Before visiting your next destination your avatar will send out a post card telling you some information about that particular destination, enjoy!

This game is better than the first one, but there just isn't guidance in my opinion. I'm not asking for hand holding but I quit the game because I couldn't find the last wrench bit and the hint button wouldn't show me where it's at. Other than that it was an interesting seek and find game with plenty of mini games to keep your interest. The mini games are fairly easy such as putting scraps of a torn up paper, back together by right clicking to rotate the pieces. Hopefully you will have better luck finding the last bit and you are able to proceed with the game a little further, enjoy!

Little brother's imagination was incredible, he wanted to show his big brother what would happen when he threw one of his drawings into the strange mist that was hovering over the bridge. Sure enough, his imaginative picture came to life in the mist, but grabbed little brother as well! You have dedicated your life to finding your brother and now's your chance as you cross over the bridge, into the mist....Admittedly the graphics aren't the best on this game, and it is a super easy game to play, but I actually enjoyed it! There are 21 creatures to find in the misty world and achievements to earn which are pretty generic stating only that you have earned an achievement. You capture one of the fairies that your brother created, and then learn that she needs the mist to survive. You grab a jar and fill it with some mist and the fairy is now your hint icon as she sits comfortably in a hot tub full of mist. The hidden object scenes are a mixture of interactive list finds as well as progressive interactive silhouetted shapes. You find the first item, use that item on the scene in order to find the next object and so forth. Some of the tasks required no effort at all, you had to put a crossbow together once you had all the parts and you just click on the parts and they assemble themselves. I enjoyed most of the mini games, my favorite ones were guiding the firefly to every flower, landing on the blue flower last. I also liked the butterfly pyramid where you had to place triangular shaped tiles with pictures of butterflies on the edges that had to match with other tiles and the border. If you want to play a game that is easy and relaxing with a fantasy based theme then I think you'll love this game, enjoy!

Your detective skills must be known worldwide because the Chief of Police has bought you a plane ticket to come and assist him in finding an evildoer! Each scene has several items that "open" such as a drawer or toolbox. Inside these special items are a piece of an amulet that you are trying to put back together. The biggest problems I have with this game are the fact that items are way out of proportion. In the same scene, some items are the size you would expect, such as a small lighter or tube of lipstick. Then there will be an item that is huge such as a hat or gas can. They are all simply junkpiles of random items spewn about a room. The graphics hinder finding things as well because in my opinion, some items are difficult to identify. Other than that it is a nice game for hidden object lovers because there is one HOS after another.
