Although I found this edition to be a better value over the Collectors Edition due to the lack of Extras, I'm still not a big fan of this game which progressed too slow to keep up or even stay interested in the storyline. Your friend Morgan has asked for your help in capturing his latest scientific experiment, a mechanical human Artificial Intelligence. This monster has escaped and has already caused the train to crash into the station and is seen hoisting a limp body over his shoulder.
There are several scenes that have an eyeball icon that pop up and display 4 bubbles with pictures of items that you need to find and drag onto the correct bubble. There is always the fourth item that cannot be found within that scene, requiring you to travel back and forth, completing mundane tasks such as finding a pipe to replace a pipe that is missing or finding a bow tie to place on a white shirt. There are simple puzzles to complete like repairing a torn photo by clicking and dragging pieces to complete the picture.
The Collectors Edition in my opinion has little to offer, Concept Art, Wallpapers (available in several resolutions) a Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter.
I don't recommend this game.

Your good friend has successfully created a mechanical human, Artificial Intelligence. Problem is, he needs your help capturing this monster who seems to have a vendetta against a bunch of people. The reason I disliked this game was the fact that you have to go back and forth to complete so many tasks that the storyline gets put on the back burner. I've just played 30 minutes of the demo and haven't made it past the train station!
This adventure has a different kind of HO scene similar to the Behind the Reflection series. Several different areas as indicated by a giant eyeball, will popup to display several bubbles with 4 different items you need to find, click and then drag to the correct bubble. Each popup will have 3 items within that scene and the fourth item requires several steps before acquiring that item such as finding a bow tie to place on a shirt before it can be dragged to it's bubble. There are also simple puzzles to solve such as turning dials to match up red arrows but some dials control other dials, or reassembling a torn photo by clicking and dragging the pieces to complete the picture.
The Collectors Edition has very little to offer, Concept Art, Wallpapers, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter.
I don't recommend this game.

Wow, I'm practically speechless! You are a Sorceress on an eternal quest for glory, many have tried, few succeed. This quest rewards hero's with immortality, IF they can reach the Frozen Mountain. As you travel the path towards the Frozen Mountain, you will come across many different enemies and a battle ensues. You must then make a Match 3 or more of either lightning or fireballs to attack the enemy, to win you must deplete his health orb before he depletes yours as you take turns attacking each other. There are shields you can collect that fill up the shield meter and protect you from attack once the meter is filled, it must be refilled after each use. There are health potions to collect that will heal you with each match of the potion, blue and green orbs fill the mana bar and once full will unleash a powerful spell such as freezing your opponent allowing you to take several turns in a row. The diamonds are very important as well, these collected diamonds will allow you to purchase more powerful lightning, fireball and health potions . After each battle you can click on the diamond tab at the top of the map to add more power to any or all three of these powers according to how many diamonds you have collected. Some of the paths are blocked by a locked gate which means you must first travel to the locked chest icon to play a Match 3 game (no battle just you making matches) you must collect a certain amount of keys before the timer runs out, you will also have a chance to collect diamonds here as well. After completing this quest, you collect your key and use that key on the locked gate to continue your journey. If you aren't a fan of battle type games, you won't like this game because you will battle a sorcerer or monster with each and every level with the exception of the treasure chest level, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

I have to give credit when credit is due, this game has unique, out of the box thinking, features which makes it just different enough to stand apart from the hundreds of hidden object adventure games available.
You are Alice Wright, a 28 year old Lieutenant who works for Department 42. Your agency investigates paranormal phenomena, in a previous investigation, several artifacts were found that were as powerful as they were cursed, and the Agency hid those artifacts in the Grimstone Manor. Four months ago, the Manor was burned to the ground, and the artifacts have been stolen! These artifacts must be recovered before they cause cataclysmic damage, starting with the Fang of the Packleader, which can turn an ordinary man into a beast, a werewolf!
You can use the map located to the left of the screen to quickly travel between locations, if the indicator is green, you have current tasks available there and blue indicates that there are no current tasks in that location. Each location has it's own set of tasks that are listed on the right of the screen such as find a way to open the fridge or find the hidden niche and find a way to open it. Most of the items you need to complete that location's tasks are within that location.
Each scene has a Hidden Object Scene, which are extremely well done. Trust me, even if you're a seasoned veteran of HO's like myself, you will have to spend some time looking for many of the items. They aren't difficult to find because of poor graphics or unrealistic sizes, they are just plain and simply blended and hidden very well, bravo devs for this welcomed challenge! I absolutely loved the mini game where you had to decipher a message written as a code with various symbols. The letters of the alphabet are at the top of the screen, and there are two pictures in the middle, a werewolf and a moon, the words are written with symbols, the letters C,U and S are already deciphered for you. First you click on the letters spelling moon and werewolf and match those letters with the symbols that are shown for those clues, then the message starts to take on more meaning now that some of the letters have been revealed and you guess at the rest of the letters until the message makes sense. I thought it was a creative and entertaining game.
This edition also has a feature that will allow you to replay any puzzle or Hidden Object Scene that you have completed in the main game, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

The object of this game is simple, make sure the suitcases, dog crates and other miscellaneous items go into the correct, color coded chutes. Sounds like fun right? Wrong! This game starts out freakishly difficult and fast moving. You must click on several different conveyor belts to quickly change the direction the belts are moving so that the suitcases move towards the correct chute at a neck breaking pace as others are falling from the top. If you get all suitcases in their correct chutes you will earn 3 stars, however if you misguide 3 different suitcases, GAME OVER you failed and have to replay that level. Here's an idea....start out with slow moving conveyor belts and suitcases that drop at a much slower rate, build up speed a level at a time, I'm too old to move this quickly!
I don't recommend this game.

Seems somebody used a stone statuette to kill Miss Rosendale before driving her off into the river! The police have arrested Miss Daisy, the maid and she is innocent, or so she proclaims. Now it's up to the Defenders of Law to find proof of her innocence, however I think that's backward.
You have the option to play this game in Relaxed mode or Adventure, which has a timer in days not hours. This game starts out with chapters requiring you to choose an unlocked location such as the town of Willburg where the murder took place. Once you choose the location, the blueprint of that building will appear and again you choose an unlocked room to begin searching for clues. This isn't really a Hidden Object Game, it is what I refer to as a Seek and Find game because items aren't hidden, they are spewn about the room in random places.
That's about all the details there are with this game, you just keep searching different rooms for listed items that are collected in your briefcase. I quickly became bored, there doesn't seem to be any puzzles or mini games but perhaps I just gave up on the game too quickly.
I don't recommend this game.

The natives of an ancient city captured an evil spirit which was used to fight their enemies. Evil forces cannot be contained for long and when this evil spirit escaped, it unleashed it's powers upon the islanders, destroying everything in its path. Some islanders escaped, vowing never to return to this cursed island! This promise has been broken, Dr. Gordon Levitsky led an expedition to the cursed island to find the Mask of Baragus, the ancient artifact that supposedly unleashed the evil spirit, or at least that how the legend goes right? The entire expedition has been missing for days now, and the only person brave enough to search the island is Dr. Levitsky's daughter, Casey, and her Uncle Vladimir, who warned the Doctor not to go.
The story is really interesting, the cutscenes admittedly are horrible, yet the graphics in the game itself are decent, the characters very well done with fairly good voiceovers. There are even awards to earn (achievements) and there are 6 collectible Rare Flowers and 30 Scarab Beetles to collect as well! You will also come across an artifact your father left behind, Bone Plates that use the elements such as air, light, earth and water to help you in you adventure. Not bad for a stand alone game eh!
The Hidden Object Scenes are pretty basic, slightly interactive list finds, and I actually had to look up one of the listed items, a Scolopendra, which is an insect much like a millipede. The mini games on the other hand were a wee bit frustrating and require a lot of patience, turning on all lights but when you click on one light, others are affected as well. They definitely tested my patients!
Personally, I love Island adventures and I think this is an excellent choice of game to use a coupon code on. If you can cast aside the flaws this game may have compared to some of the big boys out there, then I think you will agree that this game has entertainment value, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

This is a decent game considering it's release date. I have played both the Collectors Edition and this Standard Edition and there isn't any significant differences in my opinion. The following is a recap of my review of the Collectors Edition.
The Flying Dutchman moors once every seven years to gather fresh souls in his crews. The captain wanders around taverns, offering sailors a chance to play dice with him. If the sailor wins, he receives mountains of gold, but if he loses, he is doomed to spend eternity aboard the Flying Dutchman as a servant! Unfortunately, this is exactly what happened to your friend Michael. Michael blew his entire inheritance in a card game and out of desperation he chose to play the captain a high stakes game of dice....and lost! Your luck however, was just the opposite, you won! The captain made a bet with you, if you lose you will be his servant, if you win you may board the Flying Dutchman and be with your friend, nobody will harm you. Now you must figure out how to free Michael from his lifelong contract and then figure out how to leave a ship that has just set sail for another seven years!
The cutscene video was horrible, some of the worse graphics I have ever seen, yet the game itself had decent graphics especially if you take into consideration how long ago this game was released! There aren't any frills either, no map, no special effects, and the game is easy to play, yet enjoyable. Once aboard the ship you will collect pearls to fix the captains broken necklace which I suspect will be the bargaining chip for Michaels release.
The Hidden Object Scenes are slightly interactive list finds and they repeat the HOS at least once so if you get stuck be sure to check out one of the previous scenes. The mini games are very basic such as repeating a color sequence. The mini game I thought was the most interesting was the game of dice you play with the captain. You roll 5 dice and choose 3 of those dice that add up to one of the numbers written on a sheet of paper, your tally must equal 6 different numbers to win.
The Collectors Edition has Screensavers, Concept Art, Wallpapers, Game Music, Mini Games, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!

Every living soul must eventually depart this world to allow a new soul to be born. There are those who will seek immortality, if Death cannot find those souls and restore balance, a riff could occur causing cataclysmic events. Death has come a knocking once again, thankfully he is only seeking your sleuthing services in locating these procrastinators, starting with Leonard Gautier in Paris. Leonard sought immortality to escape Death, he had no regrets with his decision to become a bloodthirsty creature of the night, he had become so powerful that not even Death could harm him!
Death has given you some powerful tools, a Medallion that allows the dead to speak to the living (that could be a lot of fun) and a Magical Sphere which quickly transports you anywhere in the world. You will be using this sphere often because some of the items you discover will be outlined in blue which require closer examination in your laboratory. Your lab has some pretty unique equipment, a machine that duplicates keys once you find a diagram and a dummy key. You also have a machine that can develope photos and even expose hidden encryptions. Some of the items have plus sign indicators which require some type of interaction before using that item such as opening packages, repairing or combining that item with another inventory item.
The Hidden Object Scenes are well done, but there aren't very many which may disappoint some players. The HO's are interactive list finds but there are also twists, some lists need to be unlocked by finding and attaching different colored bats, and my favorite, finding 12 picture tiles after the listed items and once they were found, a side by side picture puzzle would appear. You have to swap tiles to complete each picture, when you swapped a puzzle piece on the left picture, the same tile would swap on the picture to the right as well. One of my favorite games required you to make 5 matches in a row of symbols shown in the middle. There are several tiles located both on the left and right, that needed to be memorized as you flipped them over one at a time, each set required you to make 5 matches in a row before moving on to the next set.
Personally, I chose the Collectors Edition, and I have no regrets either, lol. The Collectors Edition has 12 different Achievements, Morphing Objects (a must have in my book) Wallpapers, Concept Art, Music, a Secret Room, Solitaire Games, Collectible, Figurines, Playing Cards, Diary Pages, a built in Strategy Guide and of course a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!
I recommend this game!
