This is one of the most unique seek and find games I have ever played. You will be a guest on a game show hosted by Jerry Landers and his assistant Jill Summers, featuring entertaining HO's, and clever mini games. After entering your players name you choose which unlocked character you want to be portrayed by, as the game progresses, new characters will be unlocked. The game itself isn't difficult, however it is a fast moving seek and find game as you race to find objects listed before the other two contestants find them.. First you spin the wheel to find out how much money each item is worth and then you start searching scenes from around the world such as Spain, Australia and France. The items are small and not exactly easy to find, if the item is found by one of the other players a blue dot or red dot next to the item will show which player has found that item and it's worth less when you find it. Some listed items are random items some are listed as a category such as animals or toys. You earn bonus money when you find items in succession. There are also bonus games such as trivia takeoff or Pricetag match where you flip over two price tags at a time to match identical pictures. The bonus round requires you to find several items in several different countries before the timer runs out, you can and should hit the pass button if you cannot find the item quickly to move on to the next item. Nice game, enjoy!

This is going to be a short review because I only made it about halfway through the demo. This isn't much of a Hidden Object game, although there are some HO's that are list finds or silhouetted shape finds, and each scene is repeated which is very boring in my opinion. There are however a lot of puzzles and mini games such as clicking on a crane to move the arm, and then click again to drop the crane without grabbing a swimming fish, until you have found all the stones with hidden numbers on them. I gave up on the mini game that required you to "dust" a western scene. The dust didn't look much different than the rest of the brown dust filled scene and there was apparently only three windows and a cart to dust about one million times in each spot, BORING.
I don't recommend this game.

Dr. Leporello worked tirelessly to find a cure for his dying son. When he finally invented a mechanical heart to keep him alive, he was ecstatic, but what should have been the happiest day of his life turned out to be the worse day of his life! The townsfolk are blaming the doctor for the missing orphan children, they claim he is using the children's energy to keep his own son alive! When that pesky dwarf shows you proof that the doctor is indeed using the children's life force, you have to figure out whether Doctor Leporello is practicing black magic or if he is being framed. Your investigation won't be easy when that evil little dwarf, thwarts your every move!
You will find an Amulet that requires several gems to complete, but honestly I don't know what will happen when it's completed. For now all it seems to do is change colors with every new gem or casing I find. The black magic spells are being cast upon a select group of citizens, with a Knot Spell placed upon a homemade creepy looking Knot Doll. When a strange old lady approaches you out of nowhere, she explains that in order to break the spells that render their victims speechless or wipes out their entire memory for example, you must first find the Knot Doll and remove the victims personal item attached to the doll. This personal item must be returned to the victim and a mini game must be completed before the spell is broken. The mini games to break the spell aren't difficult, you may have to find several crows hidden in a room or select two symbols that when combined will create the symbol shown on the clue that is also attached to the doll. You will also find a Revealing Magnifying Glass, but I think it was actually your's to begin with because it was in a box inside your carriage. This Magnifying glass was only used twice before it disappeared, but may resurface later. The first time you used it was to "reveal" the placement of gears to open the gate, and then in a mini game where you looked through the gate openings and scrolled up, down left and right, clicking on the revealed symbols that matched the buttons on the gate.
There aren't a lot of Hidden Object Scenes, in my opinion, Haunted Legends is known for it's entertaining mini games and puzzles more so that it's HOS. You may have to find 12 water vessels of various types, and later on in the game, that same scene is repeated with an interactive scene requiring you to find items within the scene that are out of place, and return them to their logical place of origin. As I said before, there are a lot of puzzles and mini games, some very simple, and some a little more complex such as swapping numbered books that are on two different shelves so that each group of four books, two on top and two directly underneath, will add up to the number shown between the two shelves. The second group of books will include the last books, one on top and one on the bottom, from the last group.
This Collectors Edition has Wallpapers, Screensavers, Concept Art, Music, Achievements, Movies, Hidden Object Games, Mini Games, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter. IPersonally, this isn't enough to persuade me and I will wait to see what the Standard Edition has to offer, enjoy

Kevin's stepfather locks Kevin in the cold dark basement, "They'll come for you soon, stay here" Kevin is an extraordinary child who is able to manipulate space and time, and immediately uses his paranormal powers on an unsuspecting man walking near his house. Kevin mutters the words, "I need to make a call" and this man obliges, he walks to the nearest telephone booth (conveniently located two houses away) and dials Child Protection Service to report a case of child abuse and hangs up the phone. Samantha Evans finds this call unnerving and heads to 27 Riverside Street to speak to Jason Clark personally. Samantha knows Jason is lying when he denies that Kevin is at that residence when evidence lying around the room clearly shows a child has been there recently, even worse, Jason is a policeman! Samantha apologizes and leaves the house only to backtrack and search for evidence of Kevins whereabouts. Surprise! Kevin can clearly be seen through the cracks of the cellar door, double surprise, Kevin is entertaining himself with his toys...levitating them in midair! Without thinking Samantha jumps into the cellar with no regard to the fact that the cellar has no stairs but eventually the use a lockpick to escape through the basements main door. Now the heart pumping action begins as Kevin and Samantha try to sneak past Jason, the music quickly escalates as you follow the bullet point icons, Hide or Run! They both run towards Samanthas car just as Jason realizes that they are escaping, Jason hops on his motorcycle and the chase begins as Samantha burns rubber and maneuvers the car as if she was an Indy race car driver and speeds toward the railroad tracks! If Kevin hadn't used his powers to manipulate time, the two of them would have been pancakes! Unfortunately Sam has now been identified as a kidnapper and the two of them must repeatedly escape from relentless pursuit from a corrupt police department and a crooked would be Senator who has an unknown interest in children with paranormal gifts.
I found this Standard Edition to be a much better value, I simply wasn't impressed with the Collectors Edition. I would have given this edition 5 stars if there were more activities to do in each scene and the tasks at hand weren't so predictable. Everytime you need Kevin to help you levitate items or manipulate time, you simply click on his photo icon and stand back! Some of the inventory items have plus sign indicators that require further action before using that item such as bending a wire to form a hook or converting a multi use tool from pliers to knife.
There are very few Hidden Object Scenes, and all of them so far seem to be interactive, progressive silhouetted shapes where you find the first item that matches it's silhouetted shape and use that item back in the scene such as a key to unlock a cabinet which exposes the next item and so forth. The mini games were pretty basic such as flipping two tiles at a time as you try to make matches of logical pairs such as a dog and a bone. Most of the mini games and puzzles were actually in the plus item inventory items.
The Collectors Edition has Collectible Coins with apples and pencils and are far and few between, Wallpapers, Concept Art, Achievements, Cut Scenes, Music, Characters, a built in Strategy Guide (this is an easy and logical game and you probably won't need this feature) and a Bonus Chapter: On The Edge where you investigate paranormal powers on an Island. I really believe that this Standard Edition is the better value, enjoy!

What a beautiful Fairy Tale adventure filled with mystical creatures, epic battles, Unicorns and of course love! Prince charming has hired you detective, to find the woman who stole his heart as they danced until midnight at the Ball extravaganza. She left so abruptly that one of her crystal slippers got left behind, the Prince would be willing to give up all his wealth just to have this beautiful woman, so hop on your trusty Unicorn and alert the dogs, this is going to be an epic adventure!
Both the Standard and Collector's Edition have equipped you with a camera to take a picture of the 30 different creatures you meet on your investigation. These photos will be stored in your photo album, but stay alert, if you miss the photo op as indicated by the camera icon, you will not get a second chance to complete your album!
The Hidden Object Scenes require you to take items from your inventory list and place them into the scene which is quite the opposite from the standard method of finding items listed in the inventory bar! Several items may require some interaction before placing items as well. The mini games aren't that impressive in my opinion, most are so simple it feels like a complete waste of time such as matching four different pairs of logical items in three different sets. They don't even attempt to make it difficult with obvious matches, a mouse and a wedge of swiss cheese, a needle and a spool of thread, an axe and wooden logs, a wine bottle and a glass of wine, you get the picture.
This Collectors Edition doesn't seem to go out on a limb with the extras, which swayed me toward the Standard Edition because of the better value. There are Wallpapers, Concept Art, Music, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter. Both Editions have the Photo Albums and collectible creature pictures, and I think even beginners will be able to play this game without the assistance of a walkthrough, enjoy!

This game has come a long way in just 3 episodes. The first game was nothing but seek and find items spewn about massive rooms (I did like finding magnifying glasses for hints and the sonar hint system) the second game upped the graphics a tad bit and added interactive zones within each scene as well as mini games, and this edition has really upped the ante with spooky graphics, well done characters (still no voiceovers but a lot less dialog boxes to sift through) This game features more of a storyline centered around the disappearance of Mr. Walsingham the owner of the Walsingham Manor. Manor's are always haunted and this haunt seems to be centered around a ghostly painting. I can honestly say this game is worth a credit at the very least but I wouldn't waste time on the previous Detective Agency games, enjoy!

At least it's improved since the first one! They have done away with the lengthy comic book style dialog and replaced it with more realistic graphics, but no voiceovers and still a ton of reading which I quickly became bored and disinterested with. This game is also more interactive requiring you to toggle back and forth between the inventory list and your briefcase where you store items you may need to progress. You also have ye olden PDA which will show you a silhouetted shape of the item you are searching for or you can click on the buttons to get actual location hints. There are mundane tasks that require back and forthing as you find a light bulb in one scene and take the bulb to another scene etc. There are occasional mini games such as guessing the safe's combination with only three color choices, or using a set of keys on the first row of drawers, if the drawer turns green you have used the correct key, if it turns yellow you have chosen the correct key but wrong drawer and if it turns red that key doesn't go to any drawer and you rearrange your key selection using those clues on the next line of drawers until you get all of the correct keys into the correct drawers by trial and error.

One feature I love within Hidden Object Adventures, are Morphing Objects, in fact I rarely purchase a game that doesn't include morphs. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that the new devs (new to DP) have opted to remove the one feature that made Dark Parables famous. This series had the most challenging morphs due to the fact that the objects didn't necessarily morph the first time you came across them, in fact, the morphing objects in one scene, had to be triggered with an action in a completely different scene, which meant that you would have to travel back to other scenes just to see if the morph had been activated! With this major complaint out of the way, let me go on record to state that this is the first Dark Parable game I will NOT be purchasing, however, I do believe this is a top notched game based upon the demo!
A strange purple tide has rolled upon the shores of Crete, Greece and a giant Tsunami has exposed the mythical underwater city of Prasino, once ruled by King Alexandros. This beautiful paradise now lies in shambles, the sea has taken her toll upon the kingdom's glorious splendor, this city and her people appear to have been victims of war against another kingdom known as Kokkino. Your job detective, is to investigate the purple tide, but more importantly you need to separate fact from fiction and discover for yourself if there really is a Mermaid protecting the kingdom that appeared out of thin air!
Dark Parables still have collectible Parables, (although they have changed slightly) these are collections you will find in zoomed in areas that will allow you to read a small fairy tale once you have found an entire set of Parables for each tale. Now I will say that I thought I saw one of the parables morph but it could have just been the flickering of light that made it seem that way. They have also added the plus sign indicators that other games have adopted as of late, requiring some inventory items to be interacted with before using such as adding another item to make it complete. Every scene contains a hidden, Master of Tides Emblem, and the full version will have collectible Tea Cups and Felix the Fish will make a debut as well. There are also several achievements to earn as well.
The Hidden Object Scenes are actually Fragment finds made famous again by Dark Parables who blazed a path for others to follow. You will need to find several fragmented pieces that will combine three sections together which will be used as an inventory item. Dark Parables is all about emblems, every item you find or need to find involves some type of emblem, but there are also plenty of nautical themed objects to find such as seahorses, turtles and mermaids. The mini games usually follow once you find all the pieces to an emblem, such as interacting with a small stage, finding items on one picture and placing them in another picture and my favorite was a directional game where you had to guide an orb one cell at a time with a limited amount of moves, when you landed upon another orb, you would get additional moves to allow enough moves for the orb to make it to the correct destination.
This Collectors Edition has many features not available to even access without completing the bonus game such as a Souvenir Chest, and Collectibles, there are Pictures, Music, Movies, Parables, Achievements, replayable Puzzles, replayable and timed HOP, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter: John and King Bluebeard, enjoy!

This is the type of game that I refer to as a Seek and Find game. Objects aren't blended into the scenery to try and conceal the items, they are spewn about different rooms, not even junkpiles, they are random items such as baseballs, antlers and briefcases with no rhyme or reason. I can honestly say that I had no desire to read the numerous cartoon sketches of dialog so I cannot begin to tell you what the story is about. You search room after room of various buildings for the listed items, with occasional silhouetted shape finds as well. There doesn't seem to be any misclick penalties, and my favorite part of the HO searches was finding the 5 magnifying glasses in each location. The magnifying glasses are used as extra hints up to a total of 20, however, you can still click on them you just don't get any more hints after 20. I thought the hint system was pretty cool too. If you need a hint to find an item you use one of your hint magnifying glasses to search the room, a ping will occur slowly if you aren't near the item, and quickly when you are directly over the item in question. There are several mini games between some of the levels such as, spot the difference, matching identical pairs by flipping over two cards at a time, or a game of pipes where you rotate pipes in different positions to allow a complete connection from beginning to end, enjoy!

Great new concept for a Match 3 game with HD graphics! You are given 3 scales at a time, of different colors, to place onto a honeycomb grid, you can place the first scale anywhere on the grid but the following two can only be placed around the first tile upon the highlighted areas. Once you have made a match of at least 3 of the same colored tiles, those tiles will be removed and if you are able to make matches of 2 different colors as a combo, the dragon will make an appearance, called Dragon Madness and destroy three random tiles. As you progress, you earn bonuses but you have to visit the shop and equip yourself with those bonuses before the start of each level. You are given 2 slots for bonuses and more are available but you have to purchase those slots. Each level has to be completed before the moon bar timer depletes and there are other quests such as matching specific colored tiles to complete the level or making a certain amount of matches.
The bonuses available are, Dragon Slash which removes a row of tiles off the board, Dragon Meteor and Power Blast, attacks a specific area on the board, the Sacred Hammer will undo the last move, a Sacred Axe attacks a column of tiles, The Avenger attacks a row and column of tiles, God's Wrath attacks a random area, Berserk attacks the entire board with mayhem and Moonrise increases the available time on the Moon Bar. This is a decent Match 3 game with brilliant and colorful tiles. I really liked the concept of placing the tiles on the board three at a time which makes you have to think strategically, enjoy!
