You can choose from 9 different Detective Themed cards and 3 styles of Face cards, in this Higher/Lower game of solitaire. The object of the game is to remove all gold cards from the board by choosing cards either one number higher or one number lower than the deck card, regardless of suit. If you remove all gold cards you win the hand with the highest number of points earned even if regular cards are remaining. The Jackpot meter starts to fill when you make combos of at least 6, and if you make enough combos, you can earn the Jackpot score of 1000 extra points. Cards that have a star on them are Bonus cards worth various amounts, if you get a perfect score, the score of the current level will be added to the next level. In Newbie Mode you can replay any level for a better score, in Professional Mode you can only replay the entire pack of 10 levels. The points you earn can be used to purchase Mulligans which will undo your last move including using bonuses, Shuffle allows you to put all cards back in the deck and deal new cards, and a Joker which can be used as a wild card, enjoy!

This game is all about the Hidden Object Games, however, there is still a solid and decent storyline. Sophia is leading a double life, by day she is a seductive policewoman, by night, a seductive thief! Sophia may have to channel both identities to solve this murder case!
Every scene has a Hidden Object Scene, either Listed items or Silhouetted shapes. If you click the zoom feature on your mouse, a magnifying lens will appear that allows you to search the area better, which is really helpful when searching for smaller items like rings or coins. The scenes are bright and fairly clear, but some of the items have weird or unfamiliar names such as carillon, which I actually had to look up because I had no idea what that was. There may be an abundance of HOG's, but not Mini Games, which seemed far and few between in my opinion. The Mini Games are entertaining, but definitely not brain teasers, such as turning 6 cylinders, (3 on the left 3 on the right) to align the lines in order to join the upper and lower lines shown.
There aren't any bells and whistles in this game, the graphics aren't bad, the main character is likeable, the storyline won't knock your socks off but it is a decent script. If you're not into Hidden Object Games, DON'T even bother with this game because there is a Hidden Object Game in every scene. This will probably be one of those games that people either love it or hate it, but I think this game is worthy of a credit at the very least, enjoy!

Thabit has asked the Gods to heal his wife Aziza, they have agreed but an entire city must be built in their honor! I love this Egyptian themed Match 3 game, which is very similar to the Cradle series, available in Relaxing, Normal and Hard Modes.
Yellow tiles give you twice as many points but don't require matches upon them, green tiles require a single match and blue tiles require two matches, the first match changes the blue tile to green and from green to yellow. Some tiles have single chains, some double, there are locked tiles requiring keys to be released, some tiles have a flowering cactus, others have desert sand with blue and green fields beneath them.
If you make a match of 4 you will receive a Water Scroll on the field to blast 5 tiles, the Earth Scroll is received when you make a match 5 and blasts 9 tiles, the Wind Scroll is received when you make a match 6 and will blast 25 tiles, and the Fire Scroll is received when you make a match 7.
With every building you construct, you will earn Bonuses such as a Snakeball which destroys a tile of your choice or a Rising Sun which gives you extra gold when you use it to destroy a tile. You will have to use these bonuses in order to progress because one of the requirements for each building is that you use a bonus a specific number of times. Enjoy!

During the night of an Eclipse, Jane awoke only to realize she had absolutely no memory of her life, she didn't even remember who her parents were! Confused, with no idea what to do, she wandered into the night and through the woods until she came upon something that would change her life forever. Destiny surely brought her here to save a young boy named Jace from the Dark Other, a witch who was trying to cast a powerful and agonizing spell upon him. Jace and Jane dedicated their lives hunting the "Others" hoping to find a cure for the spell that was cast upon Jace, a curse that alienated them from civilization!
Fortunately, you have found a Spellbook belonging to one of the Others, which has been conveniently left behind in the human world, without it, you won't be able to enter the portal to the "Other" side. There's only one problem, to cast a spell you must first find a feather made of chalk, and then replicate the spell symbol on your hand for each spell. The spells will enable you to whip up a spell which allows items to levitate, or even make multiple copies from an original object! Once you are in the Other world, you find another handy item, a Magical Compass that shows you the path taken by someone, in this case the direction Jace took on his frantic chase of Morai, the Other who cast that wicked spell upon him all those years ago. The Compass needs magical powder to activate, and then you play a Hidden Object Game, finding 4 items that match silhouettes shown on the compass for each new direction. Some of the inventory items have plus signs which means that you must interact with that item before using, such as combining that item with another inventory item, or using codes from clues you have found previously. I liked the Collectors Edition better because there are 28 Raven Silhouettes hidden throughout the game. Initially I thought the Ravens were way too obvious, but all that changed once I crossed over to the Other world, as the scenes became darker, the Ravens became much harder to spot!
The Hidden Object Scenes are mostly progressive, interactive silhouetted shapes, where you find the first item that matches the silhouetted shape, and use that item to interact with other items that will reveal the next silhouetted item. There are also a ton of smaller HOP's, as I mentioned before, they are required whenever you use the compass, some are within zoomed in areas where you are tasked with finding 5 arrows for example by placing objects in their correct position on a scarecrow, to reveal the arrows. There are even hidden object scenes where you find 4 crescent moons, 4 ravens, and 4 spell symbols, on a book, page by page as the background story of Jace and Jane is being narrated. The Mini Games were far a few between, unless you count the before mentioned HOP's. They do exist however, with quick puzzles where you place round tokens correctly to complete a picture, repeating the sequence of several blinking eyes, or matching identical moon shapes on books by flipping over two books at a time, but if you pick the wrong match, the books scramble into different positions.
The Collectors Edition has Achievements, 28 Collectible Raven Silhouettes, replayable Mini Games and Hidden Object Scenes, Screensavers, Wallpapers, Concept Art, Music, Movies, a built in Strategy Guide, and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!

Within minutes of signing a contract to provide security to your new boss, a crazed sniper opens fire on Professor Kevin Reynolds as he's delivering a speech! Someone or something wants this philanthropist to pay for his sins, until now, nobody questioned his methods for developing advanced medicines. What has the good professor done, detective? Can you play along with this mad mans "game" and save the professor, when one wrong answer could be your last?
What a fantastic game, crammed full of entertainment. There are 20 Morphing Objects, 12 Morphing Masks, 19 clever Achievements, and 4 Puzzles to assemble with collected Puzzle Pieces! Some of the inventory items have Plus Signs requiring some type of interaction before using such as a quick puzzle to solve selecting buttons in a specific order.
The Hidden Object Scenes are varied, list finds that reveal fragments under the items found, and even silhouetted shap finds where you find items that match the shapes shown. The Mini Games are fun but a tad bit on the easy side, finding matching pairs or sliding tiles around using a single empty slot to maneuver the tiles.

When the town of Nightsville began sinking into the swamp, the local Sheriff gathered the townsfolk and relocated them to a new town called Willowsville. Not long after their relocation, a villain began to prey upon the citizens, many took his side when the Sheriff exiled them back to Nightsville, and consequently started a deep seeded hatred between the two neighboring towns. Over the years, people began to catch glimpses of "The Owlman," the citizens of Nightsville claim that he is their protector, Willowsville, however is terrified of this omen, and are blaming the recent kidnapping of Oliver Johnson, on this mysterious half man, half owl abomination! This is a case that only Elf can solve, with a little help from Mystery Trackers Detective of course!
An old man who appears to be blind, pops up out of seemingly nowhere to give you the "Gift of Sight" which allows you to see scenes in a whole different light, the way it was before something traumatic happened. Once you return items to their correct places, the sight reveals what happened there step by step, allowing you to piece together the evidence. When you speak to different characters, you are given several questions to ask, and you can choose which questions you want to ask in any order, but so far, all of the questions must be asked. You will collect three pieces of evidence for each scenario, once you have collected the corresponding evidence, you will be able to make a deduction about what happened, which is presented in sketched drawings for visualization. There are Plus Signs on some of the inventory items indicating that some type of interaction is needed before the item can be used such as combining the item with another inventory item or a quick puzzle such as turning cylinder sections to complete a picture.
The Hidden Object Scenes are well done, a little on the dark side, but items are easily recognizable, most scenes require you to find items that match silhouetted shapes shown in groups which reveals a part to the final item. There are also scenes requiring you to place items from the inventory bar into the scene where they logically belong. There are smaller Mini Games such as turning several discs to allow rods to engage from the center hub to the outer ring. Then there's those long, complicated puzzles, where you have to match the numbers and birds on the code deck with the ones on the wheel, using the numbers and birds that are already set as a clue. The second set requires you to do the same thing with numbers, filling in the blank spaces according to the numerical pattern.
The Collectors Edition has Wallpapers, Concept Art, Music, a Secret Room, Achievements, Collectible Coins and Figurines, Morphing Objects, Monsters, a Vending Machine, a built in Strategy Guide, and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!

An ancient tome was painstakingly created over many centuries, by scholars, elders, mystics and even mad men. It's pages were burned. buried or scattered to the four winds during the last Time of Change. As the new Time of Change approaches, a select few have begun to piece together the book, and have come to realize just what the Book represents! Declan Gray, a professor at the University, is one of those select few, who has debunked many mysteries over the years, but this mystery seems to have more questions than answers!
Unfortunately, the story is so uninteresting, that I couldn't bear to listen to the narrator past this point, mostly because it kept going....and going...and going (even the bunny ran out of energy!) The graphics are cartoon sketches during the cut scenes and introduction, but fairly normal for the game play itself, although they were quite basic. Another feature of this game I didn't like was a feature that was abandoned a long time ago where the scenes move back and forth slightly whenever the mouse cursor moves anywhere within the scene, however, this feature can be turned off within the option settings. You can also change the difficulty settings there because you aren't given that option automatically before starting the game. There is no Hint button to speak of, there is simply a box that tells you your objectives, if you click on the objectives box, you you will be given a suggestion such as, hide the book or place the items on your desk, not where to go or specifically what to do or where to place an item. This in my opinion, was the games biggest downfall because I'm willing to overlook a lot of things, including poor graphics, but getting stuck with no options to turn to for solutions is a huge turnoff.
I'll be honest, I didn't play the game long enough to discover any Hidden Object Scenes, so the game may or may not have available HOP's. The only Mini Game I played during my very brief trial was recreating a picture with square tiles that had sections of chalk outlines on them. Usually, I play the entire demo so I can give a fair and honest review, and decide if the game is worth purchasing or coupon redemption. I really think this game is a waste of time.
I don't recommend this game.

Nothing better than playing an adventure game, especially when you can relate to the character. This is one of the few games in which you get to be BOTH characters! In order to progress further into the game, you will switch between the Bride and the Groom! The Groom just so happens to be a Vampire, not just any Vampire but Count Dracula's son, and he's not at all happy with his son's decision to wed a mere mortal! (that seems like an easy fix right?)
This is a fantastic concept allowing you to "see" the game from two separate perspectives, the anxious Groom who must search for his missing Bride, (hopefully before it's too late), as well as the ever so nervous Bride, who fears for her life. Personally I chose the Collectors Version because there are hidden bats throughout the game to collect that can be used to upgrade your castle with greenhouses, fountains and other miscellaneous decorations. You will also find garlic in the Collectors Edition, which can be used in the interface shop to purchase upgrades to customize the inventory panel, the journal and even the character cameos. For some strange reason I loved it (I can almost smell the roses!) There are also 15 items to find that give you a tidbit of information as to how that item relates to a Vampire.
The Hidden Object Scenes are very nicely done, with interactive list finds and very well hidden items. You can choose to play a match 3 game instead which has skulls, blood drops, wooden stakes and clovers. Some of the scenes are repeated which is a feature I do not like, but nonetheless, they are there to stay. The mini games are decent, several require you to refer to the journal for clues on how the puzzle works. For example the journal shows 4 color coded numbers and 5 color coded roses, you must place the correct color and number of roses on a door panel to open the door. I also liked the puzzle that required you to take away 4 sticks but you had to make sure there were 4 exact triangles left. Enjoy!
I recommend this game!

Beatrice is having a little bit of difficulty trying to fulfill her fathers dying request, to find the Rose of Life, so he doesn't have to die! The Rose of Life is a magical flower that can cure any illness, however, Beatrice isn't the only person who seeks this life giving flower. Claudine, an aging witch has already taken possession of the rose, and has cast a spell upon it's true owner, Prince Jonathan, once a handsome young man, now neither man nor beast! If Beatrice hadn't found an all revealing frame, she would never have realized that Claudine turned everyone into animals, and that Jonathan has been sold to the Circus as the main (or is it mane lol) attraction!
Dark Romance has a very unique feature, in order to progress, you must switch between characters. You will start out playing the character Beatrice, and then click on Jonathan's portrait to play the game from his perspective. It's incredible how you are able to play from both characters perspective, flawlessly, even though I enjoyed the first Dark Romance because I love vampire stories, this is a great game in my opinion, but will probably be a love it or hate it kind of game overall. There are plus signs on some inventory items that usually require you to combine two inventory items together, with a small puzzle to complete before using the item. There are a ton of Achievements to earn, 10 Magic Objects (cauldrons etc) 26 Hidden Butterflies and Collectible Portraits of each character that Claudine turned into an animal.
The Hidden Object Scenes are incredibly varied, and you have the option of playing a Match 3 game instead of the Hidden Object Puzzles. There are progressive silhouetted shapes, where you find the first item that matches the silhouetted shape and use that item in the scene to expose the next item and so forth. The HOP I thought was creative required you to find a mushroom for a hedgehog to eat which made him move away from a lantern which would move to light up another section which revealed another animal, each animal you fed resulted eventually to light up the entire scene, and then you received a list of items to find with some slight interactions such as opening a purse or moving a blanket. The Mini games range from quick puzzles to solve such as putting correct shapes needed to complete a butterfly sketch, to longer puzzles such as using rotation buttons to move a tile with Jonathan's picture, to the Castle opening, avoiding obstacles along the way that the tile couldn't access. All puzzles were extremely easy, in fact most of them can be figured out without even reading the instructions!

The House of Lancaster has allowed Emily, the last relative, to enter it's doors and not a moment too soon. A strange meteorite has targeted this quaint little town, spreading a deadly virus that is affecting everything, and everyone, including the House of Lancaster! Emily quickly discovers that she has a special gift, The Hand of Light. This "light" gives her all the power she needs to rid the town of this evil virus. (a simple click on the entity and then you drag the cursor over a series of shapes, to activate the Hand of Light.) Hopefully Emily can stop the virus and save the House of 1000 doors, who knows, she may decide to become a permanent resident, if the house allows it!
I favor the Collectors Edition over this Standard Edition because there are 48 Evil Faces to find, one in each scene, when you find the Evil Face the Icon will light up on the inventory bar which will help you remember which scenes still have a collectible. The problem is, if you don't find the Face before leaving a portal, you may not get the chance to return and therefore lose an Achievement opportunity. Emily has a sidekick, her clever cat, Ayra (after the demons have been expelled) who is ready, willing and able to assist her in places that only a cat can reach. There are Plus items as well which require some type of interaction before using that inventory item such as solving a small puzzle or combining that item with another inventory item. There are a couple of things I did notice about this game, not every task is logical so you have to think outside the box at times, and most of the items you find in a scene are used almost immediately within that same scene.
The Hidden Object Scenes are progressive Silhouettes, requiring you to find one item that matches the silhouettes shape shown, and then use that item within the scene to expose the next item and so forth until all items have been used. The Mini Games are typical for this dev, such as swapping train compartments with different spacings so that each row will make a complete train set when combined with the trains at the bottom of the board.
The Collectors Edition has Wallpapers, Concept Art, Music, Achievements, Cut Scenes, Collectible Evil Faces, the Making Of, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!
