If you thought the puzzles were awesome on 1001 Jigsaw Earth Chronicles 1 and 2, then you are in for a whole lot of happiness with this third edition! :) These pictures are phenomenal, from bunnies, bears, and koalas to exotic lizards, lemurs, lories and toucans. There are aquatic wonderlands, beautiful flowers and people from around the globe, in 7 different categories, Animals (my favorite) Birds, Landscapes, Flora, Waterworld, Food and Humans, each category has 143 different puzzles for a grand total of 1001 beautiful puzzles ranging from 12 pieces to 247. There are several different features that will help keep you organized and on track, a box to store extra pieces, you can post an image of the picture and choose what size you want, or you can ghost the image on the background. There is a magnifying glass and a hint feature, you can use the auto sort button and border pieces only, as well as change the color of the background to pink, green, blue or gray. My favorite feature hands down is the Modify section which allows you to customize any of the puzzles. You choose how many pieces, the shape of the puzzle pieces and whether you want the pieces to rotate or not! If you are a jigsaw geek like myself, then I highly recommend this edition, enjoy!

Grandmother is adored by all creatures big and small, and when she asks for your help as a botanist, to save Heritage Park, you know something must be terribly wrong. Your arrival in Moorland isn't welcomed by all, you've always been suspicious of your Grandma's assistant Boruta, turns out your instincts are spot on! Boruta has kidnapped Granny, known affectionately as Baba, and plans on taking over the world once he gains the knowledge of her magical and very powerful potion. This is no ordinary potion, this potion can temporarily transform the magical Slavic creatures, into humans!
The graphics are beautiful, and the magical creatures are delightful, this is a game that will capture your heart and whisk your imagination away as the Slavic mythology fable unfolds. There are 30 beautiful Ethereal Flowers to collect, and 30 Slavic Mythology Beast Cards to find throughout the game. There are plenty of Achievements to earn as well.
The Hidden Object Scenes are not as impressive as the storyline however, in my opinion, the scenes are blurry and lack imagination or challenge. Most of the HOP's are either interactive silhouettes, or progressive silhouetted shape finds where you find the first item that matches the silhouetted shape and use the item back in the scene to expose the next item and so forth. Very basic, and very easy to complete, to make matters worse, the scenes aren't vivid or colorful, this is supposed to be a fairytale right?
The Mini Games aren't bad, but they are way too easy, therefore, it seemed to be a chore rather than an enjoyment. I've listed brief descriptions on some of the games you will encounter:
1) Connect identical symbols with an uninterrupted line.
2) Switch tokens until the image is complete.
3) Place the hands so they are connected by the same color on all sides.
4) Put parts in the proper places.
5) Move sections of the figure to make it resemble the picture shown.
This Collector's Edition has 12 replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 23 replayable Mini Games, 5 Music Soundtracks, 6 Wallpapers, 12 Concept Art pictures, 20 Cutscenes, Achievements, 30 Ethereal Flowers to collect, 30 hidden Mythical Creature Cards, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!

After playing both versions, I feel that the Standard Edition is a much better choice, when purchasing a Hidden Object Adventure game, I usually choose the Collector's edition, but with a Time Management game, I don't see the value in a Strategy Guide, when you can just replay any level to achieve a better score, and the rest of the "extras" just aren't enough to make me jump on the CE bandwagon.
After the warlock Victor defeated his Uncle and became ruler, Victor grew bored. Naturally, Victor jumped at the chance to travel to the Fairyland kingdom of Lorraine to save Princess Olivia who has been imprisoned in her own tower!
I love the "weather" feature that Weather Lord Time Management games offer allowing you to click and drag Clouds to water the crops, the Sun to dry up swamps and deter ghosts, and the Wind to swoosh away the cobwebs.
There are two modes of difficulty available, Casual which is untimed and Expert which is timed, and you can earn Gold, Silver or Bronze status for each level, which can be replayed as often as you want to try for a faster score. Like most TM games, you will clear paths of debris, fix damaged roads, bridges and buildings, collect gold, harvest crops, cut trees for lumber and build various buildings such as Sawmills, Houses, Mines, Grain Mills, Forges and even Jewelry Shops to produce resources. The Collector's Edition has the addition of some levels that contain treasure chests with collectible Artifacts, Axes, Shovels, Rakes, and Staffs, and there are several Awards or Achievements to earn. Each level also gives you an icon Bonus such as an Extra Worker, Faster Workers or More Resources, which only last briefly, but can be used again once the meter refills.
The Collector's Edition has 9 Music Soundtracks, 6 Wallpapers, Awards, Artifacts, a built in Strategy Guide and Bonus levels available, enjoy!

This game has a humorous take on an the classic fairytale, Little Red Riding Hood. Red isn't a naive little girl anymore, in fact she's all grown up and has a little bit of a tude in this love story. The Grey Shadow is none other than the Big Bad Wolf, but he's no ordinary wolf, he's a werewolf, not just any werewolf, he's Red's beau! This odd couple has a bit of a dilemma this afternoon, the Grey Shadow's brother's are expecting him to bring home his first human prey, and they want Red to be the first! Well, these two lovebirds have decided to run away, far away from their adversaries and spend the rest of their lives together, how sweet!
This is another "Click and Drag" game, where you can click on the screen and drag the entire scene around, as well as zoom into any area desired. There are 50 Wolf Icons throughout the game that give you factoids about Little Red Riding Hood, written in 1697 by Charles Perrault and a similar version written by the Grimm Brothers. This is one feature that I actually enjoy about this type of game. The story is simple, and humorous, but I've never been a fan of this old school type of h2o game.
This game can become repetitive, every location has a Hidden Object Scene, each HOP is exactly the same, with nothing but text listed items to find, many of the items require finding multiples such as 3 feathers, or 4 flowers. There are no interactions, no silhouetted shapes and no puzzle to solve, just listed items.
There is usually a puzzle or mini game of some sort in each scene as well, such as putting a torn letter back together, matching up key components on a lock or turning fragmented picture icons to complete an image, where some tokens are affected by others.
If you like click and drag games with a bunch of Hidden Object Scenes and several simple puzzles to solve, this one will delight you. As I said before, this old school type game has never really appealed to me.

Artist Evelyn Rogers, died in a horrible fire, but, was it an accident? The entire town of Eastwood pointed their finger at Amelia Jones who was the prime suspect, after all her drawings depicted and correctly predicted Evelyn's demise! Something's very wrong with this town's logic, and when Evelyn's sculptures come to life, Emma Roberts is called to Eastwood to investigate this paranormal phenomenon for the Fear For Sale Magazine. Are the spirits of the innocent trying to right the wrongs happening in this tiny town? Does Amelia Jones have the unique ability to see into the future and draw predictions of what was to come, or are they blueprints of the inevitable?
This game has a unique feature where you earn points every time you find items which not only helps you gain journalistic experience (8 different promotions starting with Cub Reporter) but you can also challenge a friend to beat your score. There are several complex inventory items that require some type of interaction before the item can be used, and the Collector's Edition has plenty of Achievements to earn, 35 Beyond Objects and 5 different Collectibles in each of the 5 different categories, Eastwood Postcards, Clay Ocarinas, Toys, Actress Things, and Doctor's Equipment.
The Hidden Object Scenes are mostly interactive list finds, but some of them have steps to achieve before exposing the list such as finding multiples of one item or finding and placing items into their matching silhouetted shapes. There are also Zoom Zone puzzles where you find 6 different items strewn about the room. There is an optional Jigsaw Puzzle to play instead of the HOP.
The Mini Games are decent, but nothing really new or spectacular. Below is a brief description of some of the games you will encounter so skip this section if you don't want a spoiler: 1) Find missing objects and place them correctly. 2) Restore an image by placing round tokens, some of which are blocked requiring you to use arrows to switch tokens. 3) Lead a figurine to the green zone using obstacles as bumpers. 4) Interact with several different puzzles on a puzzle board to find the correct solutions.
The Collector's Edition has: 9 Wallpapers, 11 Concept Art Pictures, 3 Screensavers, 13 Music Soundtracks, 25 Collectibles, 35 Beyond Objects, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!

Theron was known by all to be the best Hunter in Greece, and he met his true love, Artemis, during a competition. Their relationship infuriated Zeus, for no mere mortal will ever be deemed good enough for his daughter. To keep them apart, Zeus locked Artemis in Mt. Olympus, but nothing can stop true love, and Theron vows to free her, with the help of his two close friends.
This isn't the greatest game out there, the graphics are mediocre at best, and there are no voiceovers other than an occasional narration between chapters. There are only two modes of difficulty, Casual with glints and fast recharging hint and skip buttons, and Extreme, with the opposite features, but don't let the word extreme deter you, the game is super simple. There are no frills other than 11 Achievements to earn, and very few inventory items to pick up along the way, and the hint icon will simply tell you what needs to be done not where to go or what to do. Again, the game is pretty simple, and I found it to be kind of relaxing.
There are a ton of Hidden Object Scenes, at least one in every scene, and sometimes two, but the scenes aren't repeated in the same place which is a feature I don't like. The HOP's are all Listed Item finds with no interactions whatsoever. I found it to be very funny that the devs didn't bother to keep the items era related, there are rubber duckys, pinwheels, fruits and veggies not native to Greece, and yes, there's even a roll of toilet paper! The HOP's are so easy that I tried to mix it up a bit, finding items in a specific order forward and backward, towards the end of the demo, I was able to find the correct items without looking at the list at all! Again, it was kind of relaxing.
The Mini Games are mostly puzzle variations, putting together fragmented pieces or mosaic pieces by rotating the pieces. There were also a couple of games where you had to click on music notes and flying Harpies before they reach the end or you have to start over. This isn't a horrible game, but not bad if you don't have high expectations.

I've always been a jigsaw puzzle junkie, the bigger the better, and I have a hard time pulling myself away from a puzzle until they are completed. I prefer the good old fashioned physical jigsaw puzzles, but sometimes virtual puzzles are more practical.
The puzzles offered in Thanksgiving Day however, just aren't that appealing to me, and it's just more of the same as within the last one. I like pictures of animals or beautiful sceneries, but even the Countryside box has very few "countryside" views, they are just okay pictures, and I wouldn't choose these scenes if I were buying a physical puzzle.
There are 100 puzzles available in each of the 5 categories, Decorations, Autumn, Family, Treats and Countryside. These are basically the same categories that are offered in the Halloween 3 edition with the exception of Costumes being replaced by Countryside, which I already mentioned doesn't really have pictures of the countryside, it's mostly pictures of kids and farm animals. Any puzzle can be modified with the amount of pieces you want, the style of cut and whether or not you want the pieces to rotate. You can choose four different colored backgrounds, pink, blue, green and white, as well as choose your resolution.
There are several tools available, you can choose to ghost the image of the puzzle on the background, or have a real picture shown in three different sizes. There is a Magnifying glass and a Hint icon, you can use the Border only option or the Sort option, and you can store extra pieces in the box until you have more room. Who knows, maybe # 3 will have better pictures, enjoy!

Another holiday, another griddler game offered by this dev, another disappointment. It's the same exact game, the same grids the same binary color, the same, oh what shape have I actually made? Is is supposed to be a picture of something or just random shapes? Same 6 Locations with about 20 grids in each location. Same Beginner training with 6 levels, the same single training level for Experts. The same Shop items, 2 Starting Hints, the right to make a mistake X3 and the same refill the hints on this level features. I find no entertainment value in this game.

I'm not a fan of this European Mystery game, they all seem to blend together because it's the same exact storyline. This one's centered around poisonous plant's seem to be responsible for the murder of several prominent citizens, but of course, plant's don't have an agenda (or a motive) which certainly means there must be a human evil doer behind these murders. Fortunately, a local botanist has equipped you with an invaluable piece of equipment that allows you to capture pollen spores from these deadly plants, and create an antidote, how convenient.
Each time you encounter a puff of poison, you get out you're handy spore catcher, insert it into the fancy wooden box and match identical spores. This process then shows you what ingredients you need to create the antidote, and which flower you need as a guinea pig. Once you find the ingredients and the flower, you have to insert the ingredients in the correct order to replicate the flower shown. There are complex inventory items that require some type of interaction before they can be used, the Collector's Edition has the addition of 15 Morphing Flower Cards to discover and the usual Achievements to earn.
The Hidden Object Puzzles fall a bit flat in my opinion, most of them are interactive list finds, but there are also multiples to find of certain shapes, and most of them have some type of puzzle to interact with. The only one I really liked was finding Morphing Objects when they were in their correct form, but even that one was super easy because the items morphed so quickly they stuck out like a sore thumb. There are also several Zoom Zone HOP's, which seems to be catching on lately.
The Mini Games weren't too bad, but most of them are really easy. Below are brief descriptions of some of the Mini Games you will encounter:
1) Place figurines in the correct order. 2) Slide colored jewels into their color coded areas, then play a match jewels game. 3) Use directional arrows to guide several color coded balls to their correct slots. 4) Correctly paint a porcelain picture using the example shown.
The Collector's Edition has 15 Morphing Flower Cards, 21 Concept Art pictures, 14 Achievements, Wallpapers, Music Soundtracks, Videos, replayable Mini Games, a Secret Room, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!

I was able to tolerate exactly three Hidden Object Scenes before removing this really old school game. After graduating, Grace travels to Paris to visit her college friend and becomes the key witness to the theft of a priceless painting, The Mona Lisa, and they kidnap her friend Chloe as well. You must search through junkpiles of items, at the airport, at Chloe's apartment etc. finding listed items that are small and difficult to recognize. There are items listed in blue text that require some type of interaction, such as finding and placing items that belong or just opening up that item to expose the item you are looking for. There are several mundane puzzles such as searching for several rings in an x-ray machine, painting a canvas print or cleaning the fish bowl. Just a horrible form of entertainment, a game that didn't withstand the test of time.
