It'd been 40 years since Edgar and his fiance Helen disappeared mysteriously. Edgar's sister Veronica Johnson, fears she might be losing her mind, because she just took a picture of Helen peeking out of a window from her family's home, which has been abandoned and boarded up for years! Once she compared this picture to a picture of Helen taken just before her disappearance, she is utterly shocked, because the pictures are practically identical! Helen hasn't changed in the least bit, Helen, hasn't aged in over 40 years! Emma has her hands full with this, now you see it, now you don't case, but all roads seem to lead to Helen's friend, Ben Carmer, who just so happens to be the last person to see the couple before they disappeared without a trace.....or was there?
Fear For Sale has always been a hit or miss type of game, it's either really awesome, or kind of a dud, but I have only two complaints with The Dusk Wanderer. First of all, the storyline is nothing new, in fact, I was able to figure out the plot within about 20 minutes, not just the plot, but exactly who, what, where, when and pretty much how. Secondly, the graphics are very poor. One of the features I have always loved in Fear For Sale is that they always seem to have top notch crystal clear computer generated graphics, they just didn't impress me this time. As with all other games in this series, you earn points for just about everything you do. As you earn these points, you will progress in rank status starting as a Cub Reporter then advance to Reporter, Investigative Journalist and so forth for a total of 8 rankings. For me personally, it doesn't thrill me one way or the other, I have no intention of competing with my friends to acquire a better score. This series is also known for their Collections within the CE versions, that are in Categories, this time the categories are: Against the clock, Damsel in distress, Adam's legacy, Timepieces, and Hope and redemption, each category has 5 collectibles. The Collector's Edition also has 34 Beyond Objects and the usual Achievements to earn as well, which make the CE well worth the extra money if you like CE bling.
The Hidden Object Scenes are fairly typical scenes for this series, however, they are breaking out of their shell a little bit, offering keywords in sentences to find, replacing items back into the scene, finding items using your phone, interactive list finds, and silhouetted shape finds. There are also several smaller zoom zone HOP's as well as the one's requiring you to find a handful of fragments or parts scattered around the entire scene.
The Mini Games are entertaining, some are super simple, others a little more intense, but all seem to be doable. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Dress a mannequin to replicate the picture shown.
2) Move the Edgar's figurine next to Helen's by selecting directional arrows to move Edgar. Helen's character moves in the opposite direction of Edgar's.
3) Place torn picture fragments in a book.
4) Use the cypher to enter the correct code.
5) Follow tangled hoses to their matching color coded valves.
6) Find matching symbols to climb up the rope by selecting two rocks at a time.
7) Connect the stars to make a constellation using the given number of lines.
8) Pick the colored parts of the picture and place those colored items to their correct places in the scene.
9) Adjust levers according to the picture clue.
10) Turn the fragments of the image in such a sequence as not to block each subsequent step.
11) Select the blue symbol parts to create a symbol that the compass points to.
The Collector's Edition has 9 Wallpapers, 11 Concept Art pictures, 3 Screensavers, 4 Music Soundtracks, 25 Collectibles (5 collectibles in 5 categories) 9 Achievements, 26 Hidden Object Scenes, 28 Mini Games, 35 Beyond Objects, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy the Fear!

I love mosaic style puzzles, but I sometimes like to assemble the puzzles in a relaxed mode instead of neck breaking speed, and the last mosaic puzzle didn't offer a relaxed mode.
The idea behind this game is to assemble the mosaic picture with the fragments that become available to the right of the puzzle, which is about 8 fragments at a time. You will get one star for completing the puzzle, a second star for completing without mistakes and the third for completing the puzzle within the allotted time.
You can use coins to purchase extra time in 30 second increments, or you can add more hints if you run out. There are 6 Rooms and each room has 20 levels, and there are special tasks to accomplish to earn 20 different trophies, enjoy!

Harriden Welles has invited 5 of his favorite authors to his wealthy estate for a literary contest. The thrill seeking Lucas Routledge, who has written the Hidden Expedition series, the slightly neurotic Jessica Benedict, author of the popular Danse Macabre series, the reclusive Cameron Jones who somehow managed to write the Off The Record novels at a very young age, the paranoid writer of Phantasmat, Adam Johannson, and of course you, the famous author of Dead Reckoning, have all agreed to compete to write Mr. Welles' biography. The evening has just begun and naturally, someone has just been murdered in a classic Dead Reckoning style, which happens to narrow down the playing field. The murderer is taunting the other 4 contestants with riddles of their demise, and it doesn't take long to figure out that the murderer is killing the victims in the same exact way as the characters in their books have died! Whodunit? Let's find out, shall we?
Welcome back Dead Reckoning, after Snowbird's Creek, I had my doubts that this series could make a comeback, but they have done a masterful job with Death Between the Lines. This is the series that puts the who into whodunits, not to mention the what, where, when and why as you interrogate the remaining suspects and try to stop a cold blooded killer. The only assistant you need for this case is your Tablet which helps you keep track of the evidence and clues you compile while trying to find the person behind the motive. Each scene has a Hidden Sign which in this game just happens to be cold, hard cash, Dollar Bills that is! They have altered the way you interrogate the characters a slight bit, instead of deciding if they are lying or being truthful, you are tasked with finding multiple examples to back up their statements in a Mini Game Hidden Object scenario.
The Hidden Object Scenes are very clever in my opinion. There are some unusual kinds as well as the typical Interactive List finds, Keywords in sentences, and Silhouetted Shape finds. My favorite HOP was finding items that match a riddled type description, and some of the Zoom Zone HOP's did a nice job of blending items as well. Some of the HOP's have a Morphing Object and there is an alternate Bubble Shoot game to play.
The Mini Games are decent, I thought the first puzzle was very creative in how they tied the game into the famous BF review rating system for each of these well known games. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Complete pie charts by selecting and placing the parts correctly using the ratings breakdown.
2) Lead the helicopter to the top-right, using directional arrows to avoid obstacles without running out of gas.
3) Arrange the ornaments on the door to match the ornaments on the other door.
4) Use arrows to move the slider to each checkpoint, one arrow moves the pointer two spaces left the other three spaces right.
5) Select and drag tiles to recreate all of the shapes shown, all tiles must be used.
This Collector's Edition has 12 Music Soundtracks, 6 Videos, 8 Wallpapers, 8 Concept Art pictures, 22 replayable Puzzles, 12 replayable Hidden Object Scenes, replayable Bubble Shoot games, 38 Hidden Dollar Bill Signs, 12 Morphing Objects in the HOP's, a Souvenir Room, 16 Achievements a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy a good book tonight!

The quaint little town of Menzbruck holds many dark secrets, but the lid is about to blow wide open, exposing the heinous actions of its ancestors. Your client, Katharina has just awakened Madlena, one of the most powerful medieval witches ever burned at the stake! Madlena has big plans for Katharina, the first witch born in 500 years, none of them are good, and none of them are desired by poor Katharina! You're going to have to go on a witch hunt of your own because if you fail, this quaint little town will have two angry witches to deal with!
I don't know how you would ever solve these paranormal cases without your trusty psychic glasses that give you a glimpse into the past. Not only do they conveniently show you just the really important things pertaining to the case at hand (good thing, can you imagine all the really stupid things the past could show?) but they are really chic and stylin' to boot. This edition of Mystery Tales is really good, not the best in the series but definitely entertaining from beginning to end. It's a fairly lengthy game, with 6 chapters, that might have been a tad too much because at times the tasks at hand seemed to be used to merely stretch the game out with little insight of the story. The story is kind of silly and hoaky, and the game is really easy to play. In fact, the game can be played without a Strategy Guide and more than likely you'll never use the hint feature, but that's okay, it's fun and entertaining and the Collector's Edition version is jam packed full of CE bling. In the CE there are 15 Morphing Dungeon Devices, yep, you can fill the Torture Chamber with all the latest (by late I mean really old) gadgets. There's the tried and true pendulum, the typical rack, rusty pincers, a spiked collar, spiked boots, and a spiked chair, (are we sure this stuffs is medieval?) the tried and true expander, skull press, and cage, a water barrel, (or is it waterboarding) an iron mask, gallows, a wicked iron maiden and of course, no respectable dungeon would be caught dead without an executioner's hood! If that isn't enough to make Christian Grey proud, there are 36 Collectible Tarot Cards, Collectible missing pages from the Witches Spellbook, Collectible Notes (could somebody please explain why my notebook pages are scattered all around town, why are the pages loose in the first place?) and of course, achievements to earn. Both versions have a ton of Plus Sign inventory items, many of which require a puzzle to be solved.
The Hidden Object Scenes are basically the same variations repeated, but the HOP's are fairly entertaining and are located in some interesting locations. My favorite scene was inside of an Iron Maiden with a ghostly vibe. There are Interactive list finds, Silhouetted Shape finds, and Multiple finds, many are multi layered, switching between a couple of different styles and some have small puzzles to solve within the HOP's. If you don't like HOP's you can opt to play a Match 3 game instead.
The Mini Games have a wonderful feature, you can choose to play all of the mini games in either an Easy mode or or a Hard mode, why other games don't offer this feature is baffling. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo, and some notable puzzles from the main game:
1) Slide blocks to "free" a chain.
2) Find pairs of matching symbols by selecting two roses at a time, a wrong selection will cause the roses to swap positions.
3) Restore the picture so it matches the image the image on the clue found. Select the central buttons to rotate the surrounding tiles on the circles.
4) Find items that match keywords in a storybook.
5) Using trial and error, select a colored pin and a notch, wrong choices will reset the lock.
6) Swap disks to restore the picture.
7) Place the inner tokens next to their corresponding images on the outer circle. Tokens move along blue paths, select center arrows to rotate those paths.
8) Rotate square tiles, rotating one tile may affect others.
9) Arrange stones chronologically.
10) Place the heads on the correct statues based upon the pictured clue.
11) Drag rows and columns to clear matching symbols, while removing skulls last.
12) Several tile swapping pictures where swapping one tile may affect others.
13) Use a pool cube to shoot pool balls into their color coded slots.
14) Throw three darts to land on numbers that when the numbers are combined the total sum is 94.
15) Arrange like colored tubes to create a path for each corresponding witch.
16) Combine color coded arrow sections by sliding the sections together. Sections move in a straight line until it meets an obstruction.
17) Assemble the devices according to color by swapping color coded sections. You can only place sections on to smaller or same sized parts.
18) Rotate circles and use the color coded arms to grab tokens and place tokens into the correct color coded slots.
The Collector's Edition has 15 Morphing Torture Chamber Dungeon Devices, 36 Collectible Tarot Cards, Collectible pages for the Witches Spellbook, Collectible Note Pages for your dossier, 33 different Location's, 118 Zoom Zones, 23 Mini Games, 13 Hidden Object Scenes, 13 different Characters introduced, 14 Wallpapers, 13 Concept Art pictures, 5 Music Soundtracks, 33 Achievements, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!

Finally, a normal game of solitaire. I don't know about you, but I hate the matching Mahjong style of solitaire, so this is a nice Halloween treat. You get to choose from 9 Halloween themed card backgrounds and there are three different face card styles.
There are two modes of difficulty, Newby and Pro, you can switch to Pro after you play the first game in the tutorial. The only difference between the two difficulties is that Newby allows you to replay any level and Pro only allows you to replay the entire pack.
The object of this game is to try and create chains of cards by placing cards either one higher or lower than the deck card shown regardless of suit. If you are able to remove all of the gold cards you will automatically win that game even if there are normal cards left on the board. Some cards have a jack-o-lantern which indicates that it is a Bonus Card that treat you with extra points, shuffles, jokers etc. Another feature I liked is that there is a tab next to the deck that tells how many cards remain in the deck. I don't recall last year's game having that feature but I like knowing how close I am to the end of the deck.
There are three bonuses available in the shop, a Mulligan which allows you to undo any last action including using your bonus, a Joker which changes any open card to a joker which is a wild card, and a Shuffle icon to put all cards back in the deck and deal new cards. There are 120 levels, and you can earn 20 different trophies for completing various tasks or achievements and trophies to earn, enjoy!

Here's a griddler riddle: What's blue and white, blue and white, blue and white? Answer: This game all crumpled up inside a trash bin where BF must have found it. Sorry BF but this game is worthless.
This review may sound like a broken record because it's probably exactly the same as the last 2, not to mention the fact that this is the same exact game with the same exact features as all the other holiday griddlers this dev offers, surely this game isn't flying off the shelves so why do they keep making them? There are 6 Rooms with 12 griddler puzzles in each, and you need to earn enough stars to unlock each room. You will earn up to 3 stars per puzzle, a star is deducted for each mistake you make. You can purchase more starting hints, the right to make 3 mistakes or refill hints on the current level, in the shop.
This is a Griddler Mosaic game with a Halloween theme. The point of the game is to fill in or cross off boxes on a grid using logic (no math involved other than counting) Each column and each row has a set of numbers that indicate how many cells need to be filled, each set of numbers must be separated by at least one empty or crossed off cell. Sometimes it's easier to figure out which cells can't possibly be filled in but there is a tutorial for Beginners (7 training levels) and a refresher level for Experts. Don't be intimidated by this type of game, they are really easier than they look, and really fun, but this game is a poor example. In some of the better Griddler games such as the Rainbow series and Fantasy Mosaics you get to solve grids that have several different colors and the pictures actually look like something when finished so skip this dud and try one of those.

Today's the day that Rachael gave her firm a letter of resignation so she can open up a Bed and Breakfast with her husband Danny, in a very large and beautiful house, her dream home. They got this house at a phenomenal price, way below the market value, because it has a tainted past. It would appear that this house has claimed the lives of several inhabitants that have disappeared without a trace, but Rachael and Danny don't believe in all that hype. Besides, haunted houses can draw a ton of clients searching for the paranormal. They haven't even had time to unpack a single box before the kids are in trouble. Luke and Zoe are being sucked into a portal through the kids playroom, but it would seem that nothing these frantic parents do, can save them, they too have vanished, without a trace! Ahh, but wait, apparently, there is a way to save them. A very old television begins to broadcast a message from beyond, a message from a very creepy man, a man who offers them a deal. Time is running out, precious time needed to find 11 keys to appease the creepy man who apparently has some very high moral standards. The 11 keys the creepy man desires, are keys to unlock the prison that binds him, one key is in the possession of each of his 11 previous victims. Their crimes were mortal sins, at least in the creepy man's opinion!
Yes, this game starts out way too slow, but once it gets into the "grit" of things, it becomes much more interesting. I actually love this moral storyline. We experienced gamers are constantly asking for fresh new material because we've seen it all and want something new. For the most part, this is a fresh approach to a story, and I want to play this one through to the end. You will receive a Smartphone from your amature ghost busting niece Siqourney, that's used throughout the game with several Apps that are actually Mini Games to catch ghosts. I also loved the fact that many of the Plus Sign inventory items have a small and fun mini game to perform before using them.
This Collector's Edition offers the usual Achievements to earn but for some unusual tasks, one of which is to spend more than 5 minutes on the main menu, another to wait 5 minutes before starting a mini game. There are also 44 Morphing Puzzle Pieces that allow you to assemble 6 different jigsaw puzzles and set as a screensaver, AND, the cursor doesn't change to say "here I am!" You will also collect 11 Mortal Sin Portraits as you come across the culprits.
The Hidden Object Scenes are actually far and few between, I'm not sure how many are in the full version because I haven't downloaded the full version yet. There are a couple of Mini Games that are more like HOP's, that I have listed in the next section. The HOP offered in the demo requires you to find 4 gears to open up a very large Silhouetted Shape list with some interactions.
The Mini Game I found to be very doable, and entertaining. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Choose shoestrings in the correct order to untie them.
2) Drag the three sliders to align the three keyhole sections.
3) Drag the loose pieces of plaster to the correct places to match the pictures with the mortal sins.
4) Slide tiles into the correct positions by selecting the tiles and moving them to available slots.
5) Set the correct picture combinations using a crypted description code.
6) Flip the correct switches to light up all the bars, flipping some switches may affect others.
7) Match sound waves with your phone app to find the ghost.
8) Find the objects in the scene that matches the images shown as an example.
9) Untangle ropes by moving skeleton heads until all ropes are green.
10) Rotate all the circles to the correct positions to free a latch, one may affect others.
11) Find Keywords in a story by interacting with the scenes.
12) Restore the torn picture fragments.
This Collector's Edition has 40 Developer's Diary pictures, 11 Wallpapers, 4 Music Soundtracks, 10 replayable Mini Games, 6 Jigsaw Puzzles, 17 Achievements to earn, 44 Morphing Jigsaw Puzzle Pieces, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, give this game a few minutes, it starts out slow but picks up the pace, enjoy!

Evan and Melissa were deeply in love, their wedding was perfect, their lives together were perfect, until the day she disappeared without a trace! Evan searched for her day and night to no avail, and began to give up hope until a letter arrived about a year later. Inside the letter was a card with the same symbol that was on the back of Melissa's hand. The card was an invite to play a game, with a promise of making his chances rise in his never ending search for her, if only a fraction. Willing and desperate to find Melissa, he drives to the abandoned town of Waldburg to join 6 other players with desperate motives of their own, in a deadly card game. This is no ordinary card game, this is an interactive card game against.....a BEAST!
This ain't your momma's game! There's never been a game quite like this one, and I could hardly wait for this game to be released. The graphics are fantastic, and the features are even better. Zoom zones can be flipped, and interactive windows pop up in sections as you progress. This game is all about the Cards of a Deck, you will collect different ones that do different things as you try to slay the Beast, AND you only have till dawn to do so, because the game ends everyday at dawn and you'll have to start all over again the next day, if you survive that is! There's the Banisher card that can scare off the beast, the Runebreaker, the Lurker and even a Shaman card that allows you to speak to the dead. Each time you use a card you will play a Mini Game where you click a moving ball to guide it into several openings of a moving labyrinth, but if your timing is off you'll have to start all over. This Collector's Edition has Achievements to earn as well as a Hidden Beast Claw Sign in each scene, but you get so involved in the "game" that none of the extra's really matter.
The Hidden Object Scenes vary with different types such as Interactive Listed items, finding Keywords in a sentence, finding Misplaced items and returning them correctly, and my favorite was finding Multiples of each symbol shown on the wings of a wooden eagle statue. There is a Morph in the HOP's, the only feature that disappoints me because like most, I prefer them in the main game.
The Mini Games are really entertaining, some easy, some not so easy. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Move the hands so that their color matches the color of each corner.
2) select buttons in the correct order.
3) Assemble the picture by swapping tiles.
4) Turn on the four lights at the top, selecting gears to rotate them so that the batteries are connected to the lights.
5) Light up oval stones by selecting right and left rotation arrows to rotate the discs.
6) Land on the correct runes based on the clue. Select right and left arrows to choose which way the dial moves and the number buttons to select the number of moves.
7) Select and swap picture pieces, pieces can only be swapped with the piece next to it.
This Collector's Edition has: 29 Hidden Symbols, 10 Music Soundtracks, a Card Gallery, a Collectible Hunt Game, Jigsaw Puzzle, 20 Wallpapers, 19 replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 19 Morphing Objects within the HOP's, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!

It took me three days to finish the demo of the Collector's Edition when it was first released because it was a horribly boring game with lackluster graphics and annoying voiceovers. I needed another game to add to my cart during a BOGO sale so reluctantly I purchased this game and I just finished the main game, but I have no desire to play the Bonus Chapter. I will say that after the demo, the game becomes slightly more interesting mainly because the locations become more appealing. This is such an easy game to play that it became a monotonous chore due to the lack of challenge. The puzzles are so easy you can complete them in the first try and there are so many boring HOP's that I simply dreaded them, especially on the ones that were repeated in the same scene. I was able to complete the game in about an hour and a half, after the demo, without skipping any of the puzzles, thankfully it's not a long game. I know many reviewers gave this game high marks, but frankly I don't know why and I'm glad both versions are now in the past!
After losing her sister, Alex became very critical of herself. Time and time again she would look into the family mirror and imagine what it would be like if she were "different" and had more self esteem. All that changed once she met Ryan, they fell in love and their wedding was just around the corner. Today, however, would be a day that tests one's self esteem, when Alex, finds a strange key which mysteriously reveals itself. Even stranger, the family mirror mysteriously reveals a keyhole, and naturally Alex places the key into the mirror and voila! Xela appears and Alex disappears, only to reappear inside the mirror world where she is forced to watch her more brazen doppleganger take over her life, and her man! Well, after all, Alex did create Xela, so be careful what you wish for, because sometimes wishes come true but not always with the desired outcome.
I gave the CE only 1 star because the demo was horrific, but after finishing the game today, I have bumped my rating up one star because the locations became more interesting, a tad more interesting. The graphics are dreadful, the story is stupid, the mechanics are painfully archaic and don't even get me started on those annoying dolls. They didn't even bother giving them names, they simply go by, Red and Blue, ridiculous to say the least. and the voiceovers for the dolls are so fake and annoying they made me cringe. The jest of the game is to search the mirrorworld for shards of memories (memory shards for 3 different mirror portals one mirror represents each chapter) and fight your way back into the loving arms of Ryan, who probably likes Xela's personality better anyway! In the Collector's Edition version, each scene has a large obtrusive wine glass to find that look so out of place they immediately catch your eye, and other than a few Achievements, that's about it, and certainly not worthy of the Collector's Edition price.
The Hidden Object Scenes are boring and just not fun, to make matters worse, most of the scenes are repeated at least once which is even more boring. They are mostly Interactive list finds but there are also matching pairs, multiple finds and even spot the difference, Keywords in a story finds and replacing items into the scene. The scenes are cartoonish and child like in my opinion. One of the scenes requires you to prune a branch off of a rose bush and inside this small little bush is the biggest pile of random junk I've ever seen attempted before. There was a sandwich, beads, knives, a compass, a scoop, cards, jewelry, a mask, a birds nest complete with a bird, there was even a 50' garden hose. But wait, there's more! When the scene was repeated this same rose bush just 5 minutes later had all that stuff plus the addition of a baseball cap, a sword, a frisbee, a goblet, a cellphone, a rat that must have eaten the bird because he was alone in the nest, a rocking horse, a lock, and for some strange reason a zinnia flower inside a rose bush! Just how big is this bush, I can't wait to see what's hidden inside the oak tree!
The Mini Games aren't impressive either. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo and a few notable games during the main game:
1) Start with the red key and press piano keys in order according to the color clue shown.
2) Arrange the pages so they form the notes shown.
3) Move all books to the far right shelf, books cannot be rotated.
4) Reassemble the glass door by placing shards correctly.
5) Separate the roses from the leaves by drawing only 3 straight lines. Select two pins to draw line that can't cross leaves or roses.
6) Light up all the pins by traveling to each pin only once.
7) Connect pairs of bulbs without crossing paths.
8) Rotate square sections so that all the tokens are in their color coded slots.
9) Select the lockpicks to rotate the circles and deliver both balls to the center at the same time.
10) Swap runestones to complete the symbols.
The Collector's Edition has 13 Achievements, 4 Music Soundtracks, 5 Wallpapers, 8 Sketches, 40 Collectible Wine Glasses, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter.

This is just more of the same as offered in last year's Holiday Jigsaw Halloween 3. I'd probably be okay with that if the pictures were more interesting. Wouldn't it be cool to have puzzles offered that were a little creepy, like haunted houses or even the big guy Frank? I usually love computer generated jigsaw puzzles but the pictures available here just aren't that appealing to me personally.
There are 100 puzzles available in each of the 5 categories, Costumes, Treats, Decorations, Family and Autumn. (which are the same categories as the previous versions) Any puzzle can be modified with the amount of pieces you want, the style of cut and whether or not you want the pieces to rotate. You can choose four different colored backgrounds, pink, blue, green and white, as well as choose your resolution.
There are several tools available, you can choose to ghost the image of the puzzle on the background, or have a real picture shown in three different sizes. There is a Magnifying glass and a Hint icon, you can use the Border only option or the Sort option, and you can store extra pieces in the box until you have more room. I just wish the pictures were more diversified, and it would be nice to have the ability to set the finished puzzles as a screensaver. I will say that the Halloween themed music is a pleasant change, so I would recommend this to puzzle geeks, it's just not the kind of pictures I like, enjoy!
