Stacy Gray had been researching her family's lineage, which led her to a small town called Graywitch. This is the town her ancestor, Victor Gray once called home, but he was far from welcomed by it's residents. Victor was a well known scientist, well known because he created a monster, he resurrected his wife, from the dead! When Anna Gray discovers that Stacy performed a ritual, turning back the hands of time, she fears for Stacy's life. It soon becomes abundantly clear that Victor's monster holds a very deadly grudge, even though she was wanted, dead or alive!
Graywitch is an excellent game, however, it just doesn't have that Grim Tales vibe. Recently I have been playing back to back episodes of this series from the beginning so the game aspects are fairly fresh in my mind. The graphics are good in this edition, but they aren't as good as they have been lately, and there's a certain disconnect with Anna and the Gray family. It's certainly not a deal breaker for me, and perhaps my opinion will change once I finish this game.
Victor's wife isn't the only half dead half alive, monster in the room, good ole dad has returned to assist, I think he works similar to a genie, you just rub his skull that you lug around, and poof! Richard somehow manages to have an entire inventory available at all times, he always seems to have just the right items at just the right time. (where does he get this stuff from in the first place?) In this Collector's Edition version there are several not so hidden and often quite large Jigsaw Puzzle pieces to collect which allows you to assemble and use 3 different Screensavers. Each scene has a Morphing Object, which are actually somewhat of a challenge because they are fairly well blended and the cursor doesn't change to shout "here I am" There are the typical Achievements to earn and some of the scenes have hidden Dolls which also gives you a brief description of it's owner.
The Hidden Object Scenes are typical and the variations are offered in almost all of the games in this series. There are Keywords to find in sentences, Matching Pair finds, Multiple finds, Silhouetted Shape finds and the traditional, find 4 color coded items to fit into it's matching slot on the inventory bar to open up a Listed inventory list. There are also a few Zoom Zone HOP's where you are tasked with finding just a handful of items.
The Mini Games seem a bit simplistic in this game as compared to most Grim Tales games, but by no means worthless, because most are fun to solve. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Arrange the skeleton to match the image shown by moving arm and leg positions.
2) Insert letters into the typewriter in the correct order to spell the word shown.
3) Find and select the symbols in the scene that match the symbols shown at the bottom.
4) Click to select the bar when it is between each set of red lines.
5) Use directional arrows to choose the correct clothes based on the silhouette.
6) Arrange the smaller dials so their borders form a perfect circle in the center.
7) Use the hint to enter the correct safe code.
8( Choose the correct font size and color based on the clue by selecting letter buttons and arrows to toggle through the different options.
This Collector's Edition has 19 Achievements to earn, a Secret Room, an Archive section, 8 Wallpapers, 8 Concept Art pictures, 5 Music Soundtracks, hidden Jigsaw Puzzle Pieces which can be assembled to use as 3 different Screensavers, a Morphing Object in each scene, 13 collectible Dolls with descriptions, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

This is a very addicting strategy based RPG that follows a young knight on a quest to save the Princess that has been taken to the Dragon's underground lair. The goals are fairly simple, get the knight to the next passage door before it closes, by clicking on the square that you want the knight to move to. As you progress, you'll find that getting to the passage door becomes more complicated because there are several Skeleton Guards blocking the way, and each skeleton you go through, takes away one of your three available hearts. If you run out of hearts, you die!
Life Potions are available to pick up in the maze which gives you an extra heart when applied. There are Gold Coins and Keys strategically placed and guarded by the skeletons, which means that you have to strategically move the knight to gather these items in order to make it through each level. There are several locked doors in front of the exit or passage door that require you to collect keys to open them, each door needs a new key. Because the keys are guarded by skeletons, and each skeleton takes away one heart, you will also need to click on Life Potions, because you will need to face more than 3 skeletons in each level. Keep in mind, that the passage door will close if you take too long to plot your course. Some keys have tags with a coin on them which requires you to collect coins first, and of course, they too are guarded by skeletons.
At the levels end, you will earn up to 3 stars, making unnecessary moves will deduct from the available stars. As you beat the levels, the stars you earn will increase your experience level, as your experience levels increase, you will earn Rubies, and the rubies can be used to purchase items in the shop. Traders become available as you progress, and they are willing to buy life potions with gold coins which can help you if you need gold to buy a key.
This is really a simple game, but I had to figure all this information out for myself by trial and error because the tutorial is vague and practically non-existent. I did not see an option to play this game in a nonchalant, relaxed mode where you don't have to figure out the best options quickly before the door closes. You can replay the levels as often as you want to try to achieve a three star rating, which is often necessary because there are several levels that are tricky, often blocking you from further progression if you don't have enough keys or lives to finish. If you want to play a game that makes you plan the correct strategy, and you don't mind racing against the clock, look no further because this game quickly becomes addicting, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

I'm sure this game will delight the wee ones, but for me personally, I didn't enjoy the hexagonal grid feature and could care less to continue playing it. The tiles are bright and colorful, and the forest leaves, bugs and berries are designed to attract kids. The goal is to earn enough stars by "repainting" the tiles by swapping at least 3 identical elements over all blue colored hexagon cells. There are 90 levels and 10 cute forest critters to release from the cages that an evil Hunter Trapper has captured them in. You have the option to play this in a Relaxed untimed mode as well.
Eventually you will earn Bugs to help you, and the bugs must be chosen before the level begins. When the bugs are charged, they can be dragged to the area you want to use it it to make an explosion, and you will earn multiple points for the next 3 moves. A Bomb is created when you make a match of 5 or more in one direction, Firecrackers are created when you make a match of 5 or more in 2 directions. Explosions in 3 or more directions create a Superpowered Flame flame which will destroy all tiles with the same color used upon.
There are several obstacles as you progress such as Enchanted Hexagons, Cages to break, Gift Boxes to drop off the field, Frozen pieces to thaw, Stones, Lava, Impairy's that will use tricks if not destroyed, and Weeds that will grow with each turn if they aren't dealt with immediately.
This is a cute game that is meant to be a family Match 3 game, and I really believe that small kids will really enjoy playing this game. I do wonder however, why hexagon tiles are used, because they seem like they would be more difficult to overcome than regular square tiles, if a child was playing this game, but who knows. For, me however, I was totally bored with the simplicity.
I don't recommend this game.

My how time flies, King Victor and Queen Victoria are ready to pass the Royal Torch down to their daughter, Princess Jenny, after she graduates of course! Jenny is eager to begin her Young Queen courses at the University, where Professor Theodor will teach her all she needs to know to be rule her people. Princess Jenny barely gets a chance to settle down when catastrophe strikes, Pirates have invaded the University and have stolen a very important artifact. Princess Jenny's skill's will be put to the test, as she sets out to retrieve the Great Dragon's Golden Egg, before the magnificent beast awakens and wreaks havoc upon the kingdom and it's people!
I have always loved the Weather Lord Time Management series, where you use the elements of the weather to progress. Rain is used to grow crops and even put out the flames of burning buildings. The Sun dries up puddles, Wind can be used to power mills for resources, and Storms can be used to chase away the pirates. You can play in a Relaxed, untimed mode or Normal mode, and you can earn Gold, Silver or Bronze medals for each level completed. Throughout the adventure, you will build flowerbeds, columns and even new houses that will increase your Skill level (9 skills total) This will help you use the weather more effectively, and gather more resources which improves your reputation.
There are the usual TM tasks of clearing paths, repairing bridges, gathering food, wood, stone and gold and building Saw mills, Grain mills, and Stone mines. Bonuses are added which speed up workers, produce resources faster, recharge the weather quicker or increase production, but this effect is only temporary and must recharge before using it again. Merchants sell different goods and tools, and some items can be crafted when combined, you can even gather the essence of rain to create a downpour in this edition. In this CE version, there are 31 hidden Jigsaw puzzle pieces available, but they won't be available in every level apparently because there are 60 regular levels plus the bonus levels, which is kind of a bummer in my opinion, and it would be more of a challenge if they morphed because they are quite large and easily spotted.
In this Collector's Edition, there are 28 Awards to earn, 10 Bonus Levels and 10 Collector's Edition level available, 9 Skills to learn, replayable Movies, 8 Music Soundtracks, 6 Wallpapers, 31 hidden Jigsaw Puzzle Pieces and a built in Strategy Guide. For my personal tastes, these extra's just aren't worth the CE price, so I will wait until the Standard Edition version is released, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

Last night, a very talented thief stole a valuable item from the Mr. Singh's vault. The missing item is a rare meteor fragment worth more than it's weight in diamonds, but Phileas Fogg believes the motive is not just about the items value. Just when you thought the Red Queen would no longer be a problem, she rears her ugly crown once more to keep the Vermillion Watch on their toes! Move over Sherlock Holmes, there's a new detective on the scene, the likes of which the streets of London have never seen! (prolly cause of the split pea soup fog) Young Hawkes has assumed the role of her dearly departed Grandfather, Ernest Hawkes, but this latest criminal has proven to be quite a challenge. Dubbed the "Gentleman Thief" this criminal may be sophisticated , but mostly, he's one tough thief to keep up with!
I'm really liking what I'm seeing from this new series. The Vermillion Watch is mirrored after the Sherlock Holmes mysteries that take place in the famous streets of London in the early 1900's. The graphics do a fantastic job keeping in tune to the period, the clothing, the fog, the stagecoaches, the lamps along the streets, even the character's accents will make you feel like you're there. I especially love the feature that allows you to choose which area you want to investigate first, in this edition you have three different locations to investigate, the haunted Graveyard, Bridgetown, and the local College. Many of the scenes offer Panoramic views, where you can scroll further to the left or right in an attempt to make the player feel like they are actually there. In the Collector's Edition version you can earn the usual Achievements, and there are 41 Hidden Lightning Bolts to collect.
The Hidden Object Scenes are well done, again the devs have done a nice job of keeping the items true to the period of time. Don't forgot to look for the Morphing Object in each scene. There are Keywords in a story finds, Combination finds where you find an item that is described by 2 Silhouetted Shapes when combined, and even smaller Zoom Zone HOP's. I enjoyed the Hidden Object Scene that required you to find multiples of items that represented Rage, Greed and Cold.
The Mini Games are very doable, most are of good length and entertaining. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Find and select the differences between the pictures on playing cards, ignoring the suit features themselves.
2) Watch the thugs moves, then select your arms in the correct order to block his punches.
3) Select the ball when it reaches the rectangle to fight off the violinist.
4) Connect the triangles on either side of the cryptex with a continuous line by rotating sections. Then find the exact area that matches the picture clue. Repeat 3 different times.
5) Select the arrows to find the figures from the poster, on the stage to reveal a code.
6) Open all of the man's fingers, selecting one finger may affect other's.
The Collector's Edition has 15 Morphing Objects within the HOP's, 9 Concept Art pictures, p Dev pictures, 9 Wallpapers, 11 Music Soundtracks, 14 Videos, a Souvenir Room, 18 Achievements to earn, 15 replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 20 replayable Mini Games, Collectible Characters, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Adventure, enjoy!

Allen Dillinger uncovered an ancient artifact during one of his archeological digs of a Sumerian King. It is believed that this artifact can raise the dead, if buried with the artifact. Something strange began to happen to Allen shortly afterwards, his nightmares became reality, reality became his nightmares. Insanity consumed him, and sadly he took his own life. Detective Dupin has been asked to investigate his suspicious death, the only clue lies within his suicide note, penned to his lover, Lenore. The only problem is, she doesn't exist....or does she?
This is probably one of the better Dark Tales offered in a long time, and the hand drawn graphics are top notch. I'm still not blown away with this version of Edgar Allan Poe's: The Raven, because they all seem the same to me. The games always take place at night, the characters all look the same, the scenery always looks the same. There's just not much creativity, and in the Collector's Edition version, the only bling offered is "Little Devils" collectibles, and even then, there are only 12 of them, and they aren't hidden or even a morphing object which would have made the feature more appealing. One of my biggest complaints with all ERS games, is that on my large screen monitor, the game stretches too much and I don't have access to anything along the edges of the screen, so I have to play their games in a small windowed mode, or completely change my screen's resolution.
The Hidden Object Scenes are sparse in the demo, although some of the vast Mini Games could qualify for an HOP. At least the scenes aren't repeated, which is usually the case from this dev. In this demo, really there are just a couple HOP's offered, an Interactive list find and a Multiple of the same objects find.
The Mini Games are pretty good, and most are offered in a Casual or Hard mode of difficulty. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Ring the bells in the correct sequence as shown in the clue.
2) Get the scarab to the finish, avoiding enemies.
3) Follow the card with the green mark to defeat your enemy.
4) Arrange the weapon card halves to create the correct image matches.
5) Press buttons in the correct order.
6) Place the tokens beside the images they correspond to.
7) Decrypt and enter the safe code by figuring out the number each shape on the clue represents based on the equations.
8) Find the phone number by trial and error.
9) Use arrows to move the birds skull into the correct slot which will continue until it hits an obstacle or trap.
10) Find identical masks by selecting two cloaked figures at a time.
The Collector's Edition has 23 replayable Movies, 29 replayable Mini Games, 20 replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 11 Wallpapers, 11 Concept Art pictures, 6 Screensavers, 4 Music Soundtracks, 49 Achievements, 12 Collectible Devil Imps, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Adventure, enjoy!

Louie inherited the family restaurant, Le Classique, after his father passed away. There's just one problem, Louie has no idea how or what to cook to keep the restaurant's five star rating. Louie's food was horrible, and out of sheer exhaustion, Louie fell asleep, and in his dreams, a Rat told him to search the attic for a book of his father's secret recipes. When he woke up, he searched for the book, and to his surprise he did indeed find the book that the Rat told him about! Now Louie is busy learning new recipes, and soon, he will fulfill his father's dream of franchising Le Classique worldwide, one ingredient at a time.
This is a swap type Match 3 game requiring you to match at least 3 identical ingredients on all gold cells to complete the levels, and remove a specific amount of each ingredient shown. The jazz music is pleasant, the storyline is an adaptation of Ratatouille, and you can play in a Timed or Relaxed mode. This is a very simplistic Match 3 game, because there are only 3 bonuses available. The first one is a Spatula to remove a single tile, the Cooking Torch removes a 4 tile range and the Collector removes all of one kind of tile. There are no bonuses or power-ups earned for large matches which kind of disappoints me, and you earn up to 3 stars which is a feature I don't particularly care for either.
The goal is to "learn" new recipes once you have earned enough stars, and you must learn 4 different recipes in each level. To learn, you find 4 opaque ingredients in a lame sort of HOG, then choose the ingredients in the order shown, this was painfully time consuming and not necessary in my opinion. There are the usual obstructions such as chains or double gold tiles, and even spiders that require matches on or under them, and occasionally you will have to collect special items by making matches under them until they drop off of the board. Some of the ingredients are encased in bubbles which can be popped when the desired ingredient morphs inside of the bubble. Other than that, there really are no exciting features, so I'll pass on this one.
I don't recommend this game.

Morgan Atkins had no idea that his latest book would become so realistic, but the reality is, death! Morgan had just finished his new book dedicated to a serial killer who made their deaths' look like suicide. With just the snap of his fingers, his victims would willingly follow his command to take their own lives, but this killer was executed a long time ago. Detective Marshal has asked for your help solving the sudden rash of suicides, because he believes their deaths' were caused by something supernatural, in fact, he believes that the serial killer has returned!
Great story, poor "execution" I have a problem with this game on so many levels, starting with the boredom factor, followed by lack of logic, ending with a lot of purple haze. Peeps all around me are trying to off themselves, sure, I help them, eventually. There's no time to lose, good thing my keys were already in the trunk where my first aid kit is kept, right? After finally performing the first medical emergency, the grateful victim hands over all of his important notes about the case, and a bloody knife. Do I clean the knife off? Nah, that's just a waste of time, and I am grateful for the notes, this man is so organized, my important notes are always strewn about the town I just arrived in! As my investigation continues, I eventually discard the bloody knife because I found a gun and two bullets, I should be safe now. Nope, because I use my only two bullets to open up locked doors, doors I might mention that were sealed by the police because the room was still under an active investigation, this obviously doesn't pertain to muah, cause I've got these really cool supernatural glasses! Let's fast forward to our next patient who has seemingly overdosed, did you guess that I just saved her life with alka-seltzer? No? (don't tell her I just picked up her life saving meds from a dead guy, keep this on the down-low between you and I) I'm almost afraid to continue playing, because from now on, everytime I hear someone snap their fingers, who knows what I might do?
Besides an overabundance of blues and purples, this Collector's Edition has a few noteworthy extras, starting with the Mystery Tales staple collectibles, 15 Cursed Dungeon items. I haven't yet made the connection between the ghost seeing detective and the Mystery Tales series, why dungeon items? There are also 18 Ghostly Pound Symbols and 36 standard Achievements to earn. You will also find Square Puzzle pieces that promise a "sneak peak" when all 25 have been found. There are 8 Pets to "collect" where do they go when I collect them, do they follow me from scene to scene? Both editions have the Supernatural Glasses that make Mystery Tales more mysterious because they are used to watch a past event. After seeing the past event, you are somehow able to interact with items that weren't there before you donned the sweet shades, that is VERY supernatural.
The Hidden Object Scenes are decent, but offer no wow factors and the items aren't hidden, they are in plain site. I recently played a HOPA game that was released in 2012, and was pleasantly surprised as to how well the items were blended into the scene which gave the HOP a nice challenge. Back then, they were simple lists with no interactions, but they were fun. You do have the option of playing a Match 3 game instead.
The Mini Games are in abundance, as usual with this series. You have the option on every game to play in an easy or hard mode which is a cool feature. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Swap adjacent tiles to reconnect wires.
2) Slide tokens along the tracks to their correct slots according to the clue.
3) Match the symbols on the inner and outer circles.
4) Swap tiles to complete a picture, flipping the switch to light up the left or right side of the board.
5) Connect identical color coded tokens by dragging lines from one to the other without crossing the lines.
6) Swipe the correct sequence of buttons by trial and error.
7) Place missing items during a story.
8) Adjust the figurines pose to match the clue.
9) Color the picture to match the photo clue.
10) Position each buckle in their depressions, sliding one buckle may affect others.
11) Select directional arrows to steer a car around obstacles.
12) Pick correct keys for each slot.
13) Move the obstacles so that the ball ricochets off of them into the hole.
14) Shoot the gun when the targets are in the crystal.
15) Destroy all ghosts by adjusting mirrors to direct a beam of light at them.
This Collector's Edition has: Music Soundtracks, 10 Concept Art pictures, 15 Wallpapers, 36 Achievements to earn, 25 Sneak Peak picture pieces, 15 Cursed Dungeon items, 8 Collectible pets, 18 Ghostly Pound Symbols, a whole slew of Missing Journal Notes, 22 replayable Mini Games, 17 replayable Hidden Object Scenes, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter.

This is a really unique and addicting Time Management game, however, I didn't see the need to spend the extra money on the Collector's Edition. From what I can tell, the only CE bling you got was a pat on the back with Achievement Trophies awarded to you. You have the option of playing this game in a relaxed untimed mode as well as timed.
The goal is to serve all passengers as quickly as possible, with the exact item or items they desire, as indicated by their thought bubbles. There are two sections of the airplane, requiring you to click a forward/backward arrow to reach passengers when their call light is activated. There is another button that takes you to the storage room, where all the items are stored. You will have to visit the storage room often to restock items. You will be serving easy dishes at first, candy, soda, fruits and even ice cream cones, as you progress, the items become more complicated and may require combining two or more ingredients before serving. The faster you serve them the more points you will earn.
You can purchase upgrades with the money you earn to keep passengers happy and patient, earn more points, or give you larger storage capacity. I don't think I have ever played a TM game quite like this and it's a refreshing change of pace. I think this Standard version is the better option, the CE version just didn't offer anything exciting, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

Yesterday's point and click game was rather bleak, but Fetch is a colorful game with an adventurous storyline that will break your heart while giving you hope. This is a futuristic story about a boy and his dog, living in a city where every aspect seems to be controlled by an untrustworthy corporation, Embark. Dogs of every shape and size are disappearing, and authorities are baffled, but the disappearances seem to be connected to Embark's newest invention, the new Hydrant 2.0. When Bear becomes the Hydrants latest victim, this brave little boy will let nothing stand in his way!
Just about everything in this adventure game can be interacted with, I even earned an Achievement for popping every bubble on a piece of bubblewrap! This is the kind of game that makes you think and pay attention. There are clues to discover, and interactions that you must figure out, sometimes by trial and error in order to progress. This is not a hand holding kind of game, however there is a built in Strategy Guide in case you get stuck.
There are various Arcade game machines you will come across during your search for Bear, and you will have to successfully play and beat the game in order to receive your prize which is needed to progress. For example, the first arcade game requires shooting monsters in the eyes and meteors that bombard you, which gives you a cold water laser, which is needed to activate the Hydrant.
There are a whopping 130 Concept Art pictures available, which are actually interesting to scroll through because they show just how talented the artists truly are. There are 50 Achievements to earn, some of which are earned for just interacting with the scene as I mentioned before. You will also need to collect the 42 Dog tags you find along the way that belong to the missing dogs, including poor Bear, I suspect these are needed at some point to recover the missing dogs. This is a different kind of game, there are no HOP's and really nothing to guide you to do what you need to do, the cursor doesn't change to say pick me, but once you get the hang of it, I think you'll enjoy the heartwarming story.
I recommend this game!
