fromLani Minella is the owner of a voice-acting company. She is the voice of over 500 video game characters & hundreds of movie character voices in a 4 octave range, most recognizable as the voice of Nancy Drew.

32 Scene Locations
Difficulty Range: Beginner-possibly Intermediate
This is simply a Hidden Object Game with Mini-Games and a weak plot. Each Scene is a whole room Hidden Object Scene where the goal is to find neon batteries to make a fog-clearing apparatus more powerful which allows more HO scenes to become available. I LOVED this concept in the last game by this developer, but they clearly didn't put forth the same effort as they did with the previous game! The infamous voice-actress, Lani Manilla is the same voice for 2 different characters, (in all fairness they are aunt & niece) she is a very talented woman, but I found her soliloquy, detailing every thought, action, and observations, to be annoying and downright grating, by the end of the first chapter!
Collectibles & CE Bling (CE version only)
There are 32 Collectible Skulls located in the main scenes as well as the original Hidden Object Scenes, some of which are very well-blended into the scenery and difficult to spot. There are no collectibles in the very short Bonus Chapter and other than the usual wallpapers, concept art, music, videos, and achievements, there's no incentive to buy the CE version, I regret using my free CE code!
Gadgets/Helpers:
There is a Monster-Mist Clearing Machine Gadget that is used 7 times with an associated mini-game (which I დ'd!) You complete available Hidden Object Scenes to collect groups of 3 Neon-blue Batteries then return to the Machine to place them and solve a mini-game (described below in the Mini-Game section) which in turn, opens up more areas of hidden object scenes to search for more batteries, lather, rinse, repeat.
Hidden Object Scenes:
There are a whopping 48 Hidden Object Scenes +10 in the CE Bonus Chapter. I was blow-away by the HOP's in the league of light because the scenes were beautiful, creative, entertaining and challenging, but these HOP's were not! Many of the items are tiny and others are located on the dark outer fringes that are impossible to spot. I still like this "Whole-scene HOPA-HOG-hybrid concept (occasionally not every time) they aren't HO scenes located in an area of the room, they are located in the entire room. Each scene is accessed via the pop-up map, available HO scenes have green marker points, red marker points can't be accessed until you have the equipment required. Most are simple Listed Item Finds (25), but there are also Keywords in Sentence Finds (1), Spot the Differences (1), Multiples of the same Objects, such as 20 Bobbers, 12 Pressure Gauges, 20 Crosses, etc.(9) Pairs of Objects Finds (7) Silhouetted Shape Finds (2) Swatch Finds where you find areas in the scene that match a swatch sample (2) Symbol Silhouettes where you find 2 partial symbols that match the silhouette when combined (1) Some of the HOP's have a puzzle or mini-game to solve and many of the scenes are repeated in chapters 3-5, and most of the scenes have a Collectible Skull. (not available in the repeated scenes)
Mini-Games:
There are 31 Mini-Games +4 in the CE Bonus Chapter. Unlike their last game in the league of light series, these games were nothing special and certainly not challenging, and very few of the Hidden Object Scenes included puzzles. There is a repetitive game (7x's) associated with the Machine which requires connecting color-coded wire nodes from the right & left columns, to the central fuses which must have the correct colored wires attached (1 from the left, 1 from the right). I actually loved this puzzle that increased with difficulty each time by adding several wire nodes that required specific color combinations! Here are a few descriptions of the puzzles you'll encounter throughout the entire game:
℧-Connect color-coded wires from the left & right to the central fuse x7
℧-Insert the specified number of pins into each numbered cell on the grid. x1/Make a specified number of connections horizontally, vertically, or diagonally x1.
℧-Move marbles to their matching-colored slots by rotating disc rings and moving colored marbles to empty slots.
℧-Tetris style game placing various-shaped boards/Blocks style games where you move blocks vertically & horizontally to clear a path for the main block to escape.
℧-Manual dexterity puzzles that require dragging a marble through tubes w/o touching sides/puzzles that require sliding objects along tracks to their correct destination.
℧-Memory matching games where you flip over two cards at a time.
℧-Pipes variations drawing water from valves to turn corners/Turning valves to set all gauge needles to the green zone (1 affects others)
℧-Swap Tile variations to complete image/Swap pie-shaped pieces to create a clown face.
℧-Direct colored beams of light by placing lenses to change the direction of the light beams.
℧-Escape from the monster by moving up to 2 spaces each turn, but the monster can move 3 spaces if he sees you.
℧-Choose the correct emotions so that Sorrow reaches a level 5 before all other emotions.
Bonus Chapter (CE Version Only)
The Bonfire stories continue where the game left off but this time the story is told by the town's barber from a different perspective. This is a short chapter with just 10 Hidden Object Scenes and 4 Mini-Games. There are no Collectible Skulls in the Bonus Chapter and it was a rather boring ending.
Collector's Edition Extra's:
17 Wallpapers (most have no characters yay!), 36 Concept Art Pictures, 8 Music Soundtracks, 31 Movie Video Cutscenes, 8 Achievements including the famous Mariaglorum achievement of answering 3 questions about the game (6 of the achievements are in 3 categories) 40 piece Fresco Puzzle (FYI: can be completed at ANY time, even before playing the game, and you'll earn an achievement for completion) 32 Collectible Skulls~1 in every scene including the HOP's (You can return to any scene to pick up missed Skulls by clicking on the empty Skull slot in the collectibles Tab) 5 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter and a Built-In Strategy Guide.

fromHow come the demo portions of game by this developer have a ton of things you can interact with in the scene, but by the time you reach the last chapter, there's hardly anything you can interact with?

Legends say that the Titans used the Chalk of Fate to create the 4 Magical Secret City races, the Dwarves, the Yotuns, Merfolk, and Lakrians. No one knows where the giant Titans slumber but now that the Chalk of Fate has been discovered, it's only a matter of time before greed takes control and the Titans are awakened by someone with nefarious intentions.
Gαԃɠҽƚʂ/Hҽʅρҽɾʂ: THE following scenario isn't real, no actual game spoilers are mentioned or harmed during the making of this paragraph)
You're magical Glasses Gadget, that allows you to see the Secret City, breaks within the first scene...my first clue that this would be a boring game filled with anything but logic. Helen offers to fix them if you bring her the shards, so of course, I have to solve a few thousand puzzles, glance around the room to locate a sparkling dark corner to search for a dozen or so random items when I know for a fact that I really only need 1 item and will NEVER use those other "found" items I searched for so intently, nor do I know what happens to those other items once I leave the scene???. Then I have to search the previous scene for a screwdriver inside the dog house, run back to use the screwdriver to remove a vent cover, toss the screwdriver into another random dark corner (so the next guy will find it on his search for a gazillion items, silhouette style) realize immediately that I'm going to need to feed a bird, 3 scenes back, so I can take the molted feathers from his nest when he flies away, thank goodness I found those tongs in the fireplace, I'll also need to unlock a child's room after finding a set of lock picks inside a huge iceblock inside a 1950's refridgerator after finding an icepick buried in the backyard under the gnome, duh, so I can get a ribbon to tie the feathers together to brush away the cobwebs in the vent, (thank goodness I didn't need a map this time!) so I can find the closet doorknob right where I'd have hidden it if it were my house (what, you don't hide the broom closet handle in the HVAC ductwork?) After all that hoopala, and being quite winded at this point, I bring Helen the shards, only to learn that "they are too badly damaged' Then she proceeds to grab me with one of her freaky four arms to give a magical tattoo that works just like the glasses. WT#@%&? Why didn't she do that in the first place? She makes me get down on my hands and knees to clean up the frags and bring them to her, then tells me they are too broken? Did they shatter into 12 pieces and she can only fix them if they shatter into 10 pieces? Why didn't she give me a tattoo in the first place? Why didn't ANYONE give me a tattoo in the previous three games? The tattoo was instantaneous and painless, did they think I enjoyed wearing these mystery tales rejects with lenses so fragile they spontaneously burst in every chapter?
CσʅʅҽƈƚιႦʅҽʂ & Mσɾρԋιɳɠ OႦʝҽƈƚʂ (CE Vҽɾʂισɳ σɳʅყ):

Cesare was the most talented Sculptor in Italy and it was an honor if you were chosen as his model because you had to enter and win his beauty contest first. Unfortunately, those beautiful models seemed to have all vanished into thin air, could the infamous Cesare be using a taboo ritual to create beautiful sculptures that come to life?

Collectibles/Morphing Objects: (CE version only)
Each scene has 2 of those famous 4Friends Opaque Collectibles that are really well-blended into the scenery and one of my personal favorite collectibles overall. (my all-time favorite CE feature are non-linear morphs from the original DP series) There are 54 Opaque Animals which unlocks 5 Porcelain Animal Figurines when you find 5-10-24-45-54 Opaque Animal Figurines. Each scene also has two Morphing Objects, some of which are very well-hidden and challenging to spot at first glance. There is an available pull-out Tab on the left side that tells you how many morphs & collectibles remain in each scene.
Gadget/Helper:
How many tears must I cry? This is one of those features that everyone went crazy on when 4 Friends first offered the gadget that required a tear. Personally, I LOVED the Dragon Gadget offered in a previous game because...well, who doesn't like baby dragons? He wrapped around your wrist and revealed a story with each scale replaced, and every game in every series by this developer now has the same scenario with a gadget that requires Tears, crystal tears, ruby tears, sapphire tears, emerald tears, dragon tears, gargoyle tears, eye of newt tears, you get the picture, right? This time the gadget is named Eve and her super-powers allow her to bestow life itself. Once again, Eve requires a Tear of Perfection to bestow her super-powers upon its master, whomever it may be. You will feed Eve 5 Tears during the game (Carlo-Lucia-Miner-Bella-Ricardo) to hear a backstory and play a small HO scene and interact with various items in the room
Hidden Object Scenes:
There are 22 Hidden Object Scenes +7 in the CE Bonus Chapter. The scenes are clear and located in interesting locations, and the objects are fairly well-hidden There are Interactive List Finds, Silhouetted Shape Finds, Keywords in Sentence Finds, Replace Items, and Spot the Difference Finds available. There are no alternate puzzles offered.
Mini-Games:
There are 19 Mini-Games +4 in the CE Bonus Chapter. The games are on the easy-side of the spectrum with a high percentage of them being simple puzzle variations such as placing picture fragments, dragging vertical strips or turning disk segments.
Bonus Chapter: (CE version only)
Oh boy, it's going to be one of those days where nothing goes right. You are creating an exquisite sculpture of a gargoyle when it unexpectedly comes to life. You are accused of a taboo crime and go on the lam to figure out what went wrong and clear your name. This is an average-length Bonus Chapter that takes place over 8 Scene Locations and you will continue searching for the final 16 Opaque Animal Figurines and 16 Morphing Objects which will unlock the final Porcelain Animals in your collection.
Collector's Edition Version Extra's
8 Wallpapers, 28 Concept Art Pictures, 6 Screensavers, 6 Music Soundtracks, 34 Movie Video Cutscenes, 20 Achievements (10 achievements are available in 3 category progressions) 13 Replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 13 Replayable Mini-Games, 54 Opaque Animal Figurines (2 per scene) 54 Morphing Objects (2 per scene) 5 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter and a Built-In Strategy Guide.

100+ Clutter Levels & Mini-Games
Suess has been searching for his wife Ariadna for nearly six months but now that he has found her, a whole new problem has come to fruition. It seems that Ariadna plans on uniting two parallel universes, but by doing so, the world of the living must reunite with the world of the dead!
DIFFICULTY MODES:
You can choose between three difficulty modes, a Timeless mode, a Normal Timed mode, and a Hard mode (bwahaha) which gives you 20% less time than the Normal Mode. You can also choose between a male or a female Avatar. Each Chapter has 9 Clutter Levels and one 3-part bonus mini-game level, and collecting crystals during clutter levels will fill the available Hint Meter.
MINI-GAMES:
Every fifth level contains an optional Match 3 game, a Flip-Card Memory game, and a Pipe Connection Alchemy game (rotate pipe sections to complete the path to fill the vial) You will earn a Star for completing the mini-games, but individual puzzles or the entire level can be skipped without penalty.
STAR UPGRADES:
You can earn up to 3-Stars per Clutter Levels as well as for completing the Bonus Mini-Game Levels. The Stars are used to upgrade your Mind's Fortress, a place you can go to hide and rest, after clearing the fogginess. Most upgrades are achieved in 2-3 stages and once an upgrade has been completed you will earn 3 Puzzle Fragment Pieces to assemble an image that is required in order to progress to the next Chapter.
CLUTTER VARIATIONS:
❄Flashlight Mode: Find matching pairs of objects in the dark with a flashlight beam.
❄Frozen Ice Blocks: Find 3 red crystals to charge the cannon to shoot ice blocks that have frozen objects inside.
❄Train Matching Pairs: Click an object on the train and its match on the field. (it will continue making laps to refill empty slots) moves way too chug a-chug a-choo-choo-slooooow!
❄Card Matches: Find the single object that appears on both cards. (once found the next card flips over)
❄Dissemble Heaping Piles: Drag objects out of junkpiles to find matching objects.
❄Listed Objects: Remove pairs of objects as they appear on the Texted List at the bottom of the field.
❄Paint Object Pairs: Paint pairs of objects to match the colors shown on cards. (use the color palette to paint white objects on the field)
❄Associated Pairs: Find objects that are associated with the pictures shown at the bottom.
❄Battle Modes: Remove more pairs of objects from the field than your opponent within the allotted time.
❄Big & Small Matches: Remove pairs of 1 large & 1 small identical object.
❄Odd Object Association: Remove pairs from the field of the single object that doesn't belong in each group of pictured items. (if the card shows 4 pairs of gloves and a dress, you would find 2 dresses on the field to remove)
❄Odd Object Color Mode Cards: Remove the item on the card that doesn't have the same color or the same pictured item.
❄Associated Placement: Place objects into 2 category Chests. (such as Food groups vs. Animal groups)
❄Matching Pairs or Triple's: Remove either pairs or triples of identical objects.
❄Fragment Matches: Remove both halves of each object.
❄Black & White: Remove both the colored and colorless version of an object
❄Silhouetted Shapes or Silhouetted Shape Fill: Remove objects that match the silhouettes or until the silhouettes have been completely filled.
❄Shifting Clutter Piles: Remove double or triple objects from a constantly shifting clutter pile.
❄One Black-One White: Find the single object that has 1 black and 1 white identical object.
❄Exploding Dynamite: Click to detonate which reshuffles the clutter. (doesn't necessarily help)
❄Card Battle Mode: Remove the single item on the left card that matches the object on the middle card before your opponent finds and matches the single object on his right side card with the object in the middle card you share.

Anna Dupre and Jannet Carrel have been best friends since childhood. Every year they plan a best friend get-together, a tradition they both look forward to all year long. This year, Anna has planned a very special event that combines Anna and Jannet's tradition, with the Crystal Kingdom's traditional Ball. Unbeknownst to Jannet, Prince Nicholas will propose to her best friend by placing the traditional Glass Slipper upon Anna's royal foot, unbeknownst to the Royal Family, this tradition has been cursed to become crystallized just like Cinderella's Glass Slippers!
Collectibles/Morphing Objects: (CE version only)
Each scene has 2 of those famous 4Friends Opaque Collectibles that are really well-blended into the scenery and one of my personal favorite collectibles overall. (my all-time favorite CE feature are non-linear morphs from the original DP series) There are 58 Opaque Mice which unlocks 7 Crystal Mice when you find 6-12-21-30-39-48-58 Opaque Mice. Each scene also has a Morphing Object, some of which are well-hidden and challenging to spot at first glance. There is an available pull-out Tab that tells you how many morphs & collectibles remain in each scene.
Gadget/Helper:
There is a Clock Gadget named Celeste who is the Keeper of the Crystal Kingdom. Celeste requires a Crystal Tear in exchange for an Anti-Magic Sphere, to break the spell cast by a sorceress, upon the Royal Family members who have been cursed, including your best friend. Each time you offer Celeste a Crystal Tear, she enlightens you with the backstory of the tear's owner. After receiving the Sphere, you must "fight" the animal that ensnares the royal member via a Match 3 game, collecting the correct animal prints against your opponent. The Celeste Gadget is used 5 times to "fight" a Wolf, a Fox, an Owl, a Squirrel, and a Bear, and she also gives you Anti-Magic Powder for the Crystal Tears of Cinderella and the Princess.
Hidden Object Scenes:
There are 22 Hidden Object Scenes +7 in the CE Bonus Chapter and a ton of smaller zoom zone hop's. There are Interactive List Finds, Silhouetted Shape Finds, Keywords in Sentence Finds, Replace Items, and Spot the Difference Finds available. There are no alternate puzzles offered.
Mini-Games:
There are 38 Mini-Games +11 in the CE Bonus Chapter and several Pair-Matching tasks. This is one of my favorite developers, and I hope they read this review because I'd like to throw a word of cation their way concerning their mini-games. Avid HOPA fans are also avid reviewers and clearly have picked up on the fact that the mini-games are all recycled from one game to the next. The games in The Crystal Tear are the same games in Mark of Fate, and the same games offered in basically all their other series. They have included the same Gadget as well, where you have to feed the gadget a crystal tear to learn the backstory. When everything is the same from one game to the next, avid fans are going to notice, and we have noticed according to the reviews. How many fans didn't bother to download this game after reading the reviews? I'm just hoping the devs will realize that they may be turning off a lot of regular players because of the lack of new games and features...sometimes the story alone isn't enough to tip the scales!?!
Bonus Chapter: (CE version only)
Rewind the clock 40 years and delve into the Fairy Godmother's origins in this somewhat lengthy bonus chapter that takes place over 8 Scene Locations. There are 11 Mini-Games, 3 pair-matching games, and 6 Hidden Object Scenes. Celeste doesn't make an appearance, however, there is a Magic Book gadget that is used a couple of times that includes a small mini-game of tracing lines. and you will continue searching for the final 16 Opaque Mice and 8 Morphing Objects which will unlock the final 2 Crystal Mice.
Collector's Edition Version Extra's
8 Wallpapers,13 Concept Art Pictures, 5 Screensavers, 5 Music Soundtracks, 34 Movie Video Cutscenes, 24 Achievements (9 achievements are available in 3 category progressions) 18 Replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 19 Replayable Mini-Games, 58 Opaque Crystal Mice (2 per scene) 29 Morphing Objects (1 per scene) 6 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter and a Built-In Strategy Guide.

I appreciate the fact that this developer keeps tweaking each new game in the series in an effort to gain new Walker family Clutter fans and appease their original fan-base. Love is in the Air is definitely an improvement as far as being more challenging and the graphics have significantly improved, but try as I may, I just don't see the "it factor" it still doesn't knock me off my computer chair or blow my socks off with excitement. It's still just a take it or leave it kind of game, it doesn't do the same thing for me as the original clutter-meister's games do, I don't get that same urgency to scramble to hit the buy now button.
Perhaps it's the lack of customizations and features, perhaps the lack of clutter variations, perhaps it's because they release several games a year, making it feel like a mass-produced, same-ole, same-ole kinda game, perhaps it's the unappealing and uninteresting Clutter Objects (nothing says I love you like a bowling pin) perhaps it's just a personal issue where I'm comparing apples to oranges? (but then again, the average rating for all 6 games is just a tad over a 3-star rating) Whatever the reason, I did give this game an extra star for the improvement and for the effort put forth.

There are two modes of difficulty, Easy Mode which has no time restraints, and a Difficult, Limited-time Mode that gives you extra points for completing the level,100 points multiplied by the number of items remaining on the transporter, +10 points for every second remaining on the timer, and +500 points for every unused Hint feature. There are 140 Clutter-type levels that can be replayed if you want to earn a better score. After playing 7 Clutter levels, you can play a Jigsaw Puzzle variation such as Square Tile Swaps (adjacent, diagonal, etc.) or Sliders (20 Total Puzzles)
Clutter Variations:
❆Matching Pairs
❆Triplets
❆Related Items
❆Themed Items
❆Transparent Items
❆Same Size
❆Different Size
❆Same Colors
❆Different Colors
❆Pastel Shapes
❆De-Clutter (move items from piles & match)
❆Buried Items in unmovable piles
Some levels have objects that can be moved out of the way, some levels don't allow you to move any objects. This was a good concept, however, I was forced to restart a level because smaller objects were completely covered by larger objects and couldn't be seen or even random-clicked because they weren't accessible!. Some levels have continually moving paths that you are forced to wait for eons until they round the corner to expose smaller hidden objects that are covered by larger objects.
Each scene has a ton of GIANT Sun Emblems scattered among the junkpiles to recharge the Hint Meter, seriously, what's the ratio of the number of objects required to find versus how many Sun Hints there actually are?

Amy's loan has just been approved to open up her first market in this surprisingly addicting, yet challenging hybrid-DD style Time Management game. The graphics are really good (although Napoleon the cat doesn't make directional changes very fluently, he's still a cool dude) the tasks are interesting, and there are a lot of fun factors included.
You can play in a Normal or Relaxed Mode of difficulty and there are 33 Achievement Trophies to earn. Amy's first Greenmart opens in Suburbia, followed by City Pack, Beach Pack, and Country Fair The Goal is to earn a Gold Star by completing the day's tasks within the allotted time frame so that the customers leave the mart with the same smile on their face as they entered with :)
As you'd expect, the first thing you'll want to do is stock the shelves with water or food items, by loading up Amy's Cart. The storage room is filled with color-coded pallets, (red, green and blue crates) that are placed onto their matching colored shelves with items like bread, cookies and comic books (WTFarmer's market produce do comic books have to do with a "green" market?) When the crates get low on inventory, you'll need to click the color-coded phone icons, located above each pallet and watch just how slow the sloth-paced vendors can walk as they restock the shelves!
Next up, you'll need to plant seeds to grow various organic plants like Tomatoes and Apple Trees, because everyone has room for an apple orchard in their backroom, right? The plants will need to be watered and occasionally become diseased or bug-infested, so you'll need to pay attention to the time in between planting & harvesting. The fruits and veggies are not only used to stock the shelves, but they are also used for side products, such as tomato or apple juice.
After each level, you'll purchase Upgrades that help maintain the customer's patience, increase the amount they spend or increase the storage capacity of stocked items, shelving capacity, garden plant options, add more shopping baskets or increase the number of items Amy's cart can hold. You can also purchase a larger bowl for Napoleon, the store mascot who helps entertain customers to restore their waning Smiley Face, that cat sure can eat! You can also "hire" cashiers and 'janitors" to semi-automatically check out customers and clean the floors. (the cashier falls asleep and requires a wake-up poke every time a customers goes to the register, and the janitor requires a little nudge each time as well) Each purchase can be upgraded two times, and I recommend saving up to buy the cashier and janitor asap because there are so many tasks required on each level that it's difficult to try to get to the cash register AND mop the floors every few seconds.

I have played all 6 Argonauts Agency Time Management games (demo only, I'm not Wonder Woman ya know?) and it's hard to tell the difference between games! The first game was boring, the second game didn't pick up any speed, the third game went backward, the fourth game spiraled into the dud category, the fifth game joined the fourth, and this game was a complete waste of time! I played the first 5 levels and they were so repetitive and so easy that I could have just kept the clock ticking from the first level and still completed all 5 levels in the time allotted for the first level!
I became so bored that I decided to see how far I could upgrade the Casino-style Equipment. For those of you who haven't played this series, there is an Upgrade feature that allows you to spin the wheel in hopes of getting 3 identical Equipment Icons. You start out with 10 Free Spis, and you will earn +10 Spins for every 5-minutes of gameplay and the spins take so long that by the time you use up all 10 spins, 5-minutes have passed and +10 more spins are added! There are 6 different types of Equipment that either increase or decrease by percentage increments. You have to win each piece of equipment several times for each upgrade (9 x's for the 1st upgrade, 12 x's for the 2nd, 15 x's for the 3rd, 15 x's for the 4th, 18 x's for the 5th, and 21 for the 5th and final upgrade) During the demo alone, I was able to upgrade all but 2 out of 9 Equipment Bonuses to the 3rd Star, out of 5, by repeatedly hitting the spin button! (you can also win +10 free spins) If these bonuses are so easy to get, why do they bother making you spin, why not just give them to us from the start?
Equipment Bonuses to win "Casino Slot-Style:
⛏️Sandals~speeds up the characters.
⛏️Axe~cut down trees faster.
⛏️Shovel~fill holes faster.
⛏️Sword~monster battle time reduced.
⛏️Hammer~speeds up construction.
⛏️Pick~speeds stone breaking time.
You can play in an Untimed, Normal or Hard difficulty mode and it allows you to switch back and forth easily before the start of each level with an icon located above the levels. I do like this feature because sometimes it's helpful to play the first go-round in an untimed mode to figure out what the requirements are, such as what materials are needed for each task (bridges, boulders, etc) and then play the level again in a normal or hard mode, especially when a TM game requires a lot of strategies. Unfortunately, this game doesn't require much strategy so it's wasted potential!
Once again, the game is chock-full of annoying, repetitive, back-and-forth, to-and-fro tasks of rowing a boat to a tiny port, just to pick up a loaf of bread and fill a pot-hole or two. In all fairness, they did throw in a couple of buttons on the islands, the size of a small mountain, that requires sending two workers to hit the buttons simultaneously...how clever. Every level has a million bridges to repair, wooden bridges, stone bridges, long bridges, short bridges, London Bridges, build a bridge, repair a bridge, lather, rinse, repeat.
There's really nothing different here than any other TM game. Build Farms for food, Sawmills for wood, Gold Mines, Quarries for stone and Markets for trading food for specific materials such as Stone or Gold. There are the usual Berry Bushes (ohhh, a new task to grow berry bushes from a seedling. well, at least it gives Medea a reason to move?!?) for a renewable food source, as well as the usual path blockers of thorny vines, bushes, potholes, conveniently cut & stacked wood, stone monoliths "veins", puddles, and large round bread loaves left behind by a kind little old lady with nothing better to do? Now I wonder who left all those gold coins behind?
Once you have collected 5-Stars, you get to open a Treasure Chest located on the bottom left of the Map screen which allows you to choose between three smaller chests to earn extra resources, faster workers, etc. by a percentage. These bonuses automatically take effect, but they are only temporary.
Collector's Edition Extra's:
50 Main Levels, 30 Achievement Trophies, 10 Concept Art pictures, 5 Music Soundtracks, a built-in Strategy Guide (so not needed) and a few extra levels in the Additional Campaign section.

I bought the CE version of Northern Tales 5: Revival sight unseen because I have always loved Northern Tales. I downloaded this Standard Edition version today to see what the game was like without the challenging Hidden Objects but they are included in this version too, in fact, there are still 67 Achievements. and 8 specialty items as well! The CE version didn't include a Strategy Guide anyway, so I wish now that I would have just patiently waited for this 41-level SE version! :(
My favorite feature in this long-awaited 5th addition to Northern Tales was the maddening, crazy-challenging HIDDEN OBJECTS! Each scene has a specified number of hidden objects to find (2-3) and the only way you're going to find them is by scanning the cursor over the scene w/o clicking to start the level. until a rainbow pops up, they are usually hidden in the rocks that are scattered about, but even then they are super hard to spot!
You can choose to play in a Multi-Click Mode, a Normal Mode or a Relaxed Untimed Mode of difficulty and there are still 67 Achievement Rewards available and 41 Main Levels included. The CE version has 6 Additional Bonus Levels (I have to cry foul because all the other Northern Tales games had 50 levels and they were only available in Standard Editions)
Time Management games such as this one require you to clear paths, repair bridges and ladders, collect food and resources such as ore and gold, and you will need to repair and build pig farms, fix potholes, mine for gold, clear boulders and remove rubble, collect ingredients for potions, etc. You meet new people on every level that of course, require completing a task before they can help you with yours, (or construct a place of residency) such as feeding giants, chasing away wolves, and there's always a Viking or two that needs to be rescued.
This is a really fun and very addictive game, but it does require some strategy. The mechanics are uncomplicated, and easy to figure out, but the goals can be challenging to meet within the specified time to earn Gold. There are several Bonuses to help you achieve your goals, such as Time Freeze for 15 seconds, +1 Viking worker for 20 seconds, Faster Workers, Restore Resource on the Magic Places, +1 Resource Selected, and Faster Building Production (you can reuse multiple times but they must recharge after each use). You can also exchange resources with the Merchants at a rate of exchange that is favorable to the Merchant.
Specialty Items:
*Giant's Brew-level 5
*Swamp Slush-level 8
*Magic Apple-level 11
*Fire Element-level 15
*Cave Mushroom-level 18
*Dragon Scale-level 21
*Dragon Egg-level 26
*Heart of the Mountain-level 31
Collector's Edition Version Extra's:
6 Additional Bonus Levels, 9 Wallpapers, Music Soundtrack.
Collector's Edition & Standard Edition Versions Extra's:
67 Achievement Rewards, Challenging Hidden Objects (3 per scene) 8 Specialty items.

SAME scene graphics as the previous 3 Detective Solitaire games, SAME board layouts as the previous 3 Detective Solitaire games, and the SAME features as the previous 3 Detective Solitaire games, and I do mean EXACTLY the same. This game fits many description synopses but "Never a dull moment" isn't one of them!
Once again, there are 9 Card Graphic Themes to choose from and 3 Font sizes (traditional, themed, and large font), but even the design is the same. The music isn't bad, but yes, it too is the same, not to mention that at times the music pauses and you're left with awkward silence.
As usual, the game begins with a tutorial in Newbie Mode which allows you to replay any level. After completing the tutorial or opting out by clicking on the tutorial X, you can choose the Professional Mode which only allows you to play the entire 10 level pack.
This is a Higher/Lower style Solitaire game where the only goal is to remove all of the Gold Cards. Once the gold cards have been collected, you will earn the maximum amount of points and the game ends even if other regular cards remain. If you remove all gold cards you'll get a perfect score and the points of that level are added to the next level similar to bowling scores. You must earn the required amount of points to unlock the next location and there are 20 Locations with 10 levels per location.
When you remove cards with a round blue gem, you will receive either +499 points, a Joker, a Shuffle or Mulligan (undo) and you can buy Jokers, Shuffles, and Mulligans within the Shop with the points you have earned, at a ridiculous price point of 2500-8000-5000.
Once again, this game states that there are Achievements to earn, but I've yet to earn one, but then again, I didn't play further than the demo because I have no desire to waste money on a game that has nothing new to offer, and never gives me the option to continue playing after removing all Gold Cards. I refuse to even use a PCC. When and if they decide to change something other than the title, I may consider it, but only if they make an option that allows me to remove all of the cards, not just the Gold Cards.
