I agree with my fellow reviewer, Hero of the Kingdom is like visiting an old and dear friend, it's familiar but it's that familiarity that makes you feel at home. There is no other game quite like this one, the game mechanics are so unique and so addicting, this developer truly has a gift, yet most of us never stop and think about all the hard work that goes into making a game. When you play this game, stop and admire the beauty of the graphics, think about the view or angle of the camera (you are looking down on the village) look at the critters, even the tiny bunnies are incredibly detailed. Now think about how much thought had to go into the dialog, the inventory that was needed, the inventory that would be needed several scenes down the road, what characters would need to be introduced, would those characters be era-appropriate? Think about how the developer had to tie things together (the tasks we have to put together!) there was a huge amount of work that went into making this village filled with tiny little people!
You are an Adventurer, a Wanderer who lives off the land and earns his keep by doing odd jobs and favors for local villagers along the way. You will click on various villagers that have exclamation points above them to receive tasks, completing those tasks will earn you Hero points as well as various foods and supplies. A villager may need help finding items such as ingredients, medical supplies, or even lost items. When you have all supplies or ingredients to complete a task, a green checkmark or exclamation point will appear. To find these items you may have to search all available scenes for the necessary items and you may have to Barter with the locals to exchange items you have for items you need. There are also hidden crates and barrels that you can click on to receive random supplies, and helping people often rewards you with a tool that is required to complete another task.
Just like in reality, you need to sleep and eat, so you'll need to return to your Camp often to sleep and refresh your Heart score with +10 Hearts (almost instantly) but this requires firewood to make a campfire first. There is also a Backpack Icon located on the bottom left that shows your inventory. The Map icon is in the top left corner which is a feature I don't remember the last game having, the tutorial says you have to go to the map to draw the new locations (automatic) but I found that they were added whether you used the icon or not. You can earn 26 different Achievements as well and have the ability to create several different profiles.
There are staple Characters that you will continue to buy and trade supplies from such as the Master Woodcutter for firewood and lumber, the Farmer and his wife who have odd jobs and a place to cook meals or make antidotes or food, and a local Healer who sells various herbs, flowers, antidotes, and key ingredients needed for several of the main quests (reading the tasks for each quest is the key!)
So basically, you will need to strategically figure out what items are required to complete a specific task, who to help first to hone specific skills, decide which villager has the necessary items to buy to complete which tasks, when to complete quests, when to sleep, and when to eat, and you have to decide which order to do them in as well. If you don't have food for yourself because you have used your money to exchange for the wrong items at the wrong time, you won't be able to earn health hearts that are required to continue.
New supplies become available when new areas open up, but not before you clear paths from hornets and other disasters that strike, so you must manage your tasks and supplies wisely.

This was one of the slowest moving Match 3 games I've ever played, I just wanted to hit a fast-forward button and make it move faster because it was almost painful to watch! I tried reinstalling it but it didn't help, the characters moved slow, the board took forever to load, it was literally like someone hit a super slow-mo tab.
To make matters worse, there is a ton of uninteresting dialog boxes to endure and no skip feature so I had to slow-mo my way thru what seemed like a never-ending story, and not the cool "Neverending Story" of the young boy tasked with saving Fantasia from "The Nothing", the darkness that destroys everything it touches in the Kingdom. Nooo, this was a boring story, it was a fantasy story, but not really a fantastical story. As Captain, it is your solemn duty to protect King Eris (with a big ole S not c) and defeat Malefisto (which sounds like another recent beloved fantasy character in another cool fantasy story, but not even Maleficent can save this plot!) In an attempt to make the plot sound better than it actually is, the synopsis teases us with "Can you master the power of the Magic Crystals and build the Roddivir outpost? Are you the hero the lands of Ezaron needs? Then start matching!" ...YES! as a matter of fact, I AM THE HERO, surely the lands of Ezaron has waited all these years for pennmom36 to come along to build that Roddivir outpost, now hand over those Magic Crystals!
There are 100 Match 3 Levels that can be played in a Relaxed, Limited Moves, or Limited Time Mode and there are 10 Trophy Achievements with several categories available in each one. You can earn up to 3-Stars per level and the levels can be replayed, but they don't make it convenient to switch between difficulty modes because you have to exit to the main menu to access the game modes.
The goal is to earn money playing Match 3 levels and use the money to build the Roddivir Outpost which in turn, rewards you with Magic Crystals and Power-ups. The level goals include breaking all Glass Cells by making matches over them, as well as making a specified number of matches of each specified tile or "chip" shown at the top of the screen. This feature is shown as Round, color-coded icons which to me, was the most confusing feature I've ever encountered because the colors don't really match the actual "chip" and at first when I saw a round pinkish-purple icon, I assumed incorrectly, that it was referring to the similar colored round bomb...but it was a purple book I was supposed to be matching!
Large Matches reward you with Power-ups on the board which are all Bombs. A Horizontal Line Bomb, A Vertical Line Bomb, and a Simple Bomb that clears a 1-tile radius...they are all kind of simple, right? Power-ups are eventually introduced to use at your discretion, a Glove to remove a single chip of your choice, a Tornado to reshuffle the board and Fireworks to remove all of the same kind of chip of whichever chip you choose.
There really aren't very many Obstacles either, just Wooden Boxes with multiple layers, Mushrooms that need to be dropped to the bottom of the board, Locks that require matches of the same color, and Weeds that require adjacent matches.
There's a lot of flashy colors, but there just aren't any interesting features or cool dynamics that make the game addicting to play. The slow glitchy game mechanics were just annoying, but if the game had been super-fun I may have been able to deal with the slow-mo. Since it wasn't, I can't :(

Wilderness Mosaic 2 is by one of my favorite Indies and I absolutely loved Patagonia! The images are interesting, there are some interesting features, and for me, the challenge was perfect. Some of the levels are easily solved while other levels are a bit more challenging, so it was a nice mixture that allowed me to relax and enjoy the mosaics, I don't want all of the levels to be so challenging that I lose the relaxing zen-vibe aura.
In this second Wilderness Mosaic edition, there are 9 locations to visit in South America, Chile, and Argentina, with a total of 140 Mosaic Puzzles and 12 Mini-Games such as Spot the Difference, a Memory Matching Game (flip 2 cards over at a time) or a Line Tracing game (trace the line in a specified number of moves) and the best part is, all of the mosaics are 100% logic-based puzzles.
There are 5 Tile's to choose from, Pearl, Glass, Chiseled, Soft, and Rough texture (love the pearl texture) and a custom cursor option as well. I love how the X'd or crossed-off cells darken & basically disappear or blend into the background because it makes everything so easy to see what's left and what still needs to be filled in.
There is a Butterfly feature that will reveal a single cell and a Whale that reveals a 3 x 3 field on the board. You are allowed up to 5 mistakes, and when you complete an image you get to see the image without the grid for as long as you'd like, it doesn't go away until you click on it, I love this feature!
For those of you who have never played a Mosaic Griddler, there are numbers on each row and column which indicates how many filled-in cells there are and each group of numbers must be separated by at least one empty or crossed-off cell. It's easier to fill in the larger groups of numbers first, and then cross-off cells that couldn't possibly contain a filled-in cell. You can switch between Color bubbles (located on the right side) when you get stuck which will ultimately narrow down the playing field. There is also a Hint feature available if you get stumped, but it has to recharge before you can use it again.

Shopping Clutter is an okay Clutter type HO game, but the clutter just isn't that appealing to me personally. There isn't a lot of clutter variety, it's just a variety of the same type of clutter, 25 different donut decorations, 10 different pizza toppings, a whole slew of raw meats and sausages, which are kind of disgusting, whole mushrooms, sliced mushrooms, mushrooms cut diagonally, mushrooms cut horizontally, none of which are colorful or remotely appealing, jars of jellies and jams, cakes and some unidentifiable fruit blobs.
They are all just large objects that are always the same, they are the same objects from scene to scene and from game to game. There are a ton of levels with Pastel Silhouetted Shape varieties, (basically, look like a kindergarten art project) which are the most mundane levels I've ever seen, I think I'd rather have a scene made up entirely of those multiple sliced mushrooms that are clearly leftover from the multiple veggie-topped pizzas, some of which I'm fairly certain had small golf ball toppings. After completing the first group of levels. I just become bored from seeing the same thing and doing the same thing over and over, a feeling I never get when playing the original Clutter game or even the Hiddenverse games.
There are two modes of difficulty, Easy Mode which has no time restraints, and a Difficult, Limited-time Mode that gives you extra points for removing objects fast. There are 140 Clutter-type levels that can be replayed if you want to earn a better score. After playing 7 Clutter levels, you can play a Jigsaw Puzzle variation such as Square Tile Swaps (adjacent, diagonal, etc.) or Sliders (20 Total Puzzles)
Some levels have objects that can be moved out of the way, some levels don't allow you to move any objects. Some levels add unpaired objects every time you remove pairs, and some levels require finding the correct half of items that are cut in half.
Each scene has a ton of GIANT Sun Emblems scattered among the junkpiles to recharge the Hint Meter, seriously, what's the ratio of the number of objects required to find versus how many Sun Hints there actually are? The only reason I click on them is that their presence annoys me and they are in the way, they need to be smaller, much smaller!

I couldn't help but think about Jack singing What's This" in The Nightmare Before Christmas the first time he experienced that warm and fuzzy feeling because that's exactly how I felt. I was "floored" when I started playing this Time Management game because I was expecting the normal garbage but it's actually a decent game with a lot of strategies involved. It isn't a blow your socks off kind of game but compared to the normal flare this developer usually offers, it's leaps and bounds ahead.
You can play in an Easy or Casual Mode of Difficulty over 4 Worlds with 10 Standard Levels each but I must admit, I was a little confused about the Collector's Edition levels, at least as to how mant there actually are. The Strategy Guide says there are 40 Standard Levels, and the map shows 40 Levels (with a CE Tab Location telling you to complete the main game to access it) and the Strategy Guide says there are 10 Bonus Levels, but another tab says there are 50 CE Levels so I don't know if that means they are including the 10 bonus levels in that count or if there are secret levels?
This is very similar to another garden-themed game although, in my opinion, it doesn't have that same "IT" factor. The graphics are colorful and the storyline has a slightly sarcastic sense of humor. The main staple of the game is collecting Gloves which I thought was odd, why are gloves laying all over the place and why are they so valuable? I also have to repair several mobile glove vans that are parked within the garden path which leaves me scratching my head. What is the purpose of a glove-making van, why is it a mobile operation yet they are parked permanently within a garden, why does one garden need multiple mobile glove-making vans, why does this mansion worth millions of dollars have a beautiful garden with a bunch of tacky, scooby-doo vans parked everywhere you look? It kind of takes away from the garden's beauty, although the huge wavy glove hand on the top of the van was a nice touch, I'm not sure the neighbors would appreciate it as much as I did?
There are the normal TM tasks of clearing logs from the path, etc. but because this is a garden theme, you'll pick up seeds, and water bottles which are left conveniently on the path, and you'll plant various flower gardens, mostly in round flowerbeds which seems a bit skimpy for a Mansion's garden?
This Collector's Edition Version has 40 Levels +10 Bonus Levels (see above confusion statement) 11 ConceptArt Pictures, 9 Music Soundtracks. 31 Achievement Trophies, and a built-in Strategy Guide. You can decorate the mansion's garden with the coins you earn, and each decoration has several different color or style options available.
The bottom line is, this is way better than any other game by this particular developer, but it's still just an average TM game that has some weird features that don't make a lot of sense. It is a strategy-based TM game with decent graphics, so if for nothing else, that's worth giving it 3-Stars

Honey, I have a great idea, why don't we go to this seemingly beautiful Victorian Hotel for our one year anniversary and get the "House Youthful Treatment Special" So tell me, James, after 18 Haunted Hotel experiences, how is it that you manage to remain clueless about the whole "Haunted" part until you're smack-dab in the middle of the situation?
Elephant Games is hard to beat as far as storylines go, their games always have interesting plots, some of which keep you on the edge of your seat. Some of which is the only reason you keep playing because lately, their games have become so predictable that they are far too easy to play. They strayed away from the tasks that require a player to think and replaced those tasks with endless, emblem-placing tasks that don't require any thought process whatsoever (think about it, they don't have to think of something creative, we don't have to think about how to solve something, eventually, nobody has to think about anything, are you thinking about it now?)
My point is, Elephant Games chooses not to work any harder than they have to, of course not, no one does, but as we get older, we have to force our neurons to work, to make new connections, we do this by problem-solving and it's not exactly rocket science to place emblems for 5 or 6 hours straight. The only way they are going to revert to making the quality of "thinking" games they did in the past (Mystery Trackers: The Void, Surface: The Noise She Couldn't Make-Hallowed Legends: Ship of Bones) is if we tell them we prefer THINKING over EMBLEM-PLACING, the way it was not the way it is :)
☽☾Morphing Objects/Collectibles: (CE version only)☼ There are 27 Scene Morphing Objects, one per scene. They are large and in charge, can't miss objects. They morph way too fast, the objects are ridiculously large, they offer no challenge whatsoever, so what's the point? There are 13 Morphing Character Statuettes which are actually larger than the scene morphing objects...both of these objects are larger than just about anything else in the room with the exception of a desk, a bed, or a couch, so all you have to do is take a glance at anything in the room that's huge, what's even worse is that they are always laying side by side, and always on the floor, and they morph so quickly your eye can't help but notice them the second you walk into a new location, so you click on them because they are annoying, not because they are a challenge or because they are fun to SEARCH for! That is how they used to be in older games (do you remember staring intently at a scene because they were never obvious?), that is what their purpose was, they were intended to be added as an extra CE CHALLENGE, these aren't Challenges? These are just Clickables these are just large interactive items you can click on to add them to an inventory collectible category, nothing more! There are also 20 Zoom Zone Puzzle Fragments to create 4 Screensavers, no assembly required.
◔Hidden Object Scenes◕ There are only 10 Hidden Object Scenes +8 in the CE Bonus Chapter, + 4 Zoom-Zone HO's. They were just average, so-so HO's in my opinion, not impressive, but not dreadful either. There are Interactive List Finds, Silhouetted Shape Finds, Symbols Finds, Multiples Finds, Keywords in Sentence Finds, and a Swatch Find where you find the exact area on a painting that matches circular token swatch examples, shown. One of the HO's was rather odd, you had to find 3 items at a time but the 3 items would fade in and out constantly and I thought this may bother a lot of people that had vision problems, especially if they were prone to seizures, but the items don't flash, they just fade in and out if that makes sense?
♙Mini-Games♙ There are 16 Mini-Games +4 in the CE Bonus Chapter. I did not encounter any new or original mini-games, in fact, they were such familiar puzzles that I didn't have to read any of the instructions to know how to solve them. That isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I would like to see a little more creativity in the future?? Here are some of my favorite games:
1-Select a number on the lock with directional arrows to move the latch to the round slot 2-Fill the grid with more hourglasses than syringes, moving 1 space creates another hourglass, placing one next to a syringe turns it into an hourglass. 4-Guide the pearl into the slot by selecting the numbered buttons, if it hits a bumper you must start over. 5-Move blue & green blocks into their matching slots using directional arrows. They move at the same time so use other blocks as bumpers.
✯Bonus Chapter (Collector's Edition version only)✯ Rewind the hands of the clock as you play a vibrant, young version of Josephine who's father has demanded she stop Bernard from continuing his experiments because he fears something catastrophic may occur...don't worry dad, I'm sure his experiments are perfectly safe, practically benign, what could possibly go wrong? This is an average-length chapter that takes place over 8 scene locations and is geared towards HO fans with 8 Hidden Object Scenes and only 4 small mini-games. You will complete the collections with the final 8 Scene Morphing Objects, 4 Morphing Character Statuettes, and the final 5 Zoom Zone Puzzle Fragments which completes the fourth and final Screensaver.
♕Collector's Edition Extra's♕ 10 Wallpapers, 10 Concept Art Pictures, 5 Music Soundtracks, 18 Achievements, 13 Replayable Mini-Games,14 Hidden Object Scenes 13 Morphing Character Statues 27 Morphing Objects 20 Jigsaw Puzzle Pieces, 4 Screensavers, a Secret Room (Return to Scenes to Locate HO Objects) 4 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter, and a Built-In Strategy Guide.

AM I DREAMING? Is Big Fish really offering an Adventure Game & an Escape the Room game all wrapped up into one incredibly entertaining game? A game that I have to use actual thought processes to navigate? Surely Beatrice has placed a spell on someone because this is all too good to be true, and YES, this was an instant purchase for me!
Who's Beatrice? That's a good question! All I know is that she's a terrifying Witch with a great sense of humor and she lived at the top of the Tower for years. No one has seen her for years so I mistakenly fell for one of her bewitching tricks and now I am at the top of the witch's tower trying to escape!
The goal is to search the room for inventory items and ingredients that you will need to make various potions, solve tricky puzzles, fix things that have been broken for many years, and outwit Beatrice who seems to be testing you rather than taunting you. Where's Beatrice? She's inside of a Potions & Spellbook which you will definitely need if you want to escape!
If you get stuck, click on the Question Mark on the Top Left Corner. This will show you all areas of interest by placing question marks on them but it will never tell you where to look. If you click on a specific Question Mark, you will get a more specific hint, but again, this game is designed to make you think about how to escape as if you were actually there, it's never going to tell you what to do, so if you don't like to problem solve, you won't like this game!
Eventually, you will be armed with your spellbook, and a cauldron to mix various potions (you'll have to decide which potion or spell is needed for each situation) I did have a little bit of difficulty at times, clicking on inventory items to use them, sometimes I had to click 2-3 times before they could be picked up (wait until the box they sit in turns white) but other than that, I had no issues and the graphics were set to "fantastic" on the settings page.
Now, I am under Beatrice's spell so I must continue my journey to escape this tower, but to tell you the truth, I have no desire to actually escape!

Professor Blackmore is alive and well after all these years, hiding in the shadows, lurking in the dark, and waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike. Naturally, he has summoned Saint Germain to do his evil biddings, more than once, in fact, and now the lives of Dupin, Estelle, the Puppet Master, and the Cardinal are in mortal danger. Dr. Blackmore has invented some morbid devices in the past, but his latest invention is the cruelest of all, for it robs its victim of their free will until all that remains is a zombified ghost of the past, unrecognized by even death himself!
Who doesn't remember the sick twisted experiments of The Greenhills Sanitarium or Fears From Childhood? Who doesn't gasp when they see Saint Germain meddling in all your affairs? Who doesn't love the Puppet Master or the familiar face of the Cardinal as he gently stroked his poor cat that looked like he has been around the block several times and is working on his 10th or 11th life, and of course we love Detective Dupin! The story started out really good but it's almost as if they forgot where they were going with it or didn't actually have an "end game" Dr. Blackmore makes an appearance to show he's the evildoer and the mastermind behind the whole plan but where did he go, are we okay with the fact that no one even talks about him once all's said and done. St. Germain makes a few appearances and slips through the cracks but that's always his MO, he always lives to see another day, but the last chapter was literally bouncing all over the place and I never understood whether the event that took place in chapter 3 was the truth or if what happened in chapter 4 was the reality, the loopholes were huge and none of it made sense because there were too many discrepancies, as if the ending was slapped in place at the last minute to get the game ready when clearly it wasn't!
There were so many glitches in the game, the first part worked flawlessly, by chapter 3 it was skipping, the music was getting stuck on the same note, the voices weren't matching up, some of the dialogs was just completely missing it didn't even have music, it was complete silence! This is what leads me to believe that this game wasn't ready for game day!
☽☾Collectibles☼ CE Version Only Once again Amax is skimping on the CE Bling because they believe that eventually, we will come to accept that THIS is normal! Once again, There are NO Morphing Objects. There are No Hidden Collectibles. There are 14 Zoom-Zone Moon Crystals to click on, they aren't really hidden, they are colorful and in plain sight, the zoom-zone doesn't even close automatically until the crystal has been picked up, so I consider these "Clickables" not Collectibles because they don't present any challenge whatsoever. Each Moon Crystal Unlocks 1/7 Devices that contain a Scroll with stories from the Keeper of Untold Stories. The stories are available individually as each one is unlocked. (you don't have to wait until the end of the game) This game is NOT CE WORTHY, in my opinion, wait for the SE version!
◔Hidden Object Scenes◕ There are 21 Hidden Object Scenes 9 in the CE Bonus Chapter, including several smaller Zoom-Zone Hidden Object Scenes which usually preceded the larger main HO scenes. I'm not usually a fan of HO's but they actually did a decent job with them, there's a nice variety, but I will give you a heads-up that some scenes tend to be rather dark, and the objects are partially hidden behind other objects, very small and at times, unrecognizable, especially when they add fog for special effects. I really wish developers would add a Skip option to the HOP's because most of the time the alternate Match 3 games they offer are just as boring so they are both just a complete waste of time for most seasoned players. Most of the HO's are Interactive List Finds but there are also Silhouetted Shape Finds, Multiples of the Same Object Finds, Fragmented Item Finds, Find & Replace, Finding Pictured Ingredients, Finding Stones & Tiles, Uncovering Matching Pairs, and Removing Related Pairs, There are no alternate Puzzles available.
♙Mini-Games♙ There are 33 Mini-Games +11 in the CE Bonus Chapter, and they are mostly tile swapping of every variation imaginable or moving tiles along a track type of puzzles. Here are some of my personal favorites: 1-Eliminate 20 Bats in the dark by clicking on them. (warning! they do jump out at you,,, hilarious but super fun whomp-a-bat!) დდდ 2-Use clues you find to overcome obstacles. 3-Select discs to change the speed it rotates to pass each ball between the disc at the same time. დდ 4-Navigate 3 characters thru the map by standing on platforms to open & close matching colored doors. დდდ
✯Bonus Chapter (Collector's Edition version only)✯ This is the part of the story that coincides with the main story when Dupin asked Estelle to search for the parts necessary to complete the Astral Key because she is one of the Watchers who is able to visit the Astral World. Unfortunately, it takes place over the same 8 boring scenes as the fourth and final chapter of the main game which was agonizing for me personally. There are 11 mini-games and 9 hidden object scenes (including smaller zoom-zones) and you will find the final 3 Zoom-Zone Moon Crystals to unlock the final story scrolls.
♕Collector's Edition Extra's♕ 7 Wallpapers, 7 Concept Art Pictures, 4 Music Soundtracks, 15 Achievements, 12 Replayable Mini-Games, 12 Replayable Hidden Object Scenes,14 Zoom Zone Moon Crystals to unlock 7 Devices (Each one requires 2 crystals to open a scroll to read a page in the story), 4 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter and a Built-In Strategy Guide. Once again, this doesn't look like a whole lot of CE bling to me???

The graphics couldn't be more vibrant and colorful, it is a very visually appealing game with cartoon characters and a cute story about Peter Pan and his adventures in Neverland with Tinkerbell and his nemesis Captain Hook. Unfortunately, this is another mobile Match 3 game converted to a desktop version scenario where the goal is to create and use power-ups to win the game. I just can't get into a game that doesn't allow me to use strategy to win the game, I want to choose whether or not to use a power-up, and in this type of game, it's just not possible. If all I'm doing is exploding multiple bombs (colorful as they may be) it's still clearing most of the board for me, there's absolutely no strategy involved, it's just mindless clicking, it eventually gets really old, really quickly!
You can play in a Relaxed Unlimited Moves Mode or an Expert Limited Moves Mode with no in-between Mode available. The goal is to earn 3-Stars by clearing all Waffle or Chocolate Cells (what does that have to do with Neverland?) and remove a Specified Number of each Specified Tile shown on the left. Potion Bottles must be dropped off the bottom of the board on some of the levels, as well.
Large Matches will place Power-ups on the board. The larger the match the larger the explosion anywhere from a small bomb to an Indian Totem that explodes in an X formation. Bonuses can be purchased for use at your discretion as well:
*Hammer-clears a single object *Broom-destroys spiderwebs *Tornado-mixes tiles on the board *Magnet-destroys all of one type of tile *Gift Box-adds random bonuses *Butterflies-calls butterflies to destroy obstacles
There are various Obstacles that can be destroyed by making adjacent matches or using Bouses There are Ghosts, Spiders, Crates, Ice Cubes, Spiderwebs, and Door Portals that will unlock hidden portions of the board. The coins you earn are used to upgrade good 'ole Captain Hook's quarters with various decorations but I was surprised that first mate Smee wasn't onboard to haul the booty in place!
It's a cute game and although I personally do not enjoy this type of Match 3 game because I just don't see the value in a game that forces you to create and use power-ups in order to earn all 3 stars, I can certainly understand the attraction for those who love the colors and don't want the stressfulness of a strategy-based Match 3 game.

Legends of Solitaire is a legendary series that keeps getting better with every game and this one exceeds my expectations, I didn't want to stop playing long enough to write a review, and ya'll know how much I love to talk! This game has amazing detail with atmospheric music, a tad bit of fog, subtle background FX, well-drawn characters, and an engaging story. Add that to a Solitaire game that has features you want, features you insist on, and features you never knew you needed and you've got yourself glued to a computer chair saying, "just one more level" okay, "this is my last hand"
There are 20 Solitaire Realms and within each of those Realms, there are 10 Levels each. You can choose from 16 different Card Graphic Styles and 5 Font Styles and 8 different Cursors and there are 20 Achievement Trophies (I could be wrong, they are difficult to read until you earn the achievements) You can Play in a Casual Mode (which has a high probability of earning special cards & allows you to play King to Ace and vice versa) a Normal Mode (normal probability of earning special cards & allows you to play King to Ace and vice versa) or a Hard Mode (which has a low probability of earning specialty cards and does not allow you to play King to Ace & vice versa) You can also choose to play in a Higher/Lower Solitaire, a Match 2 Cards Solitaire or a Sum of 14 Solitaire Mode!
The choices aren't over yet folks! You can Enable or Disable the Mini-Games Timer. There are various Mini-games throughout the levels that popup, such as Match 3 Games, Find The Diamond (the diamond card shuffles around and you have to pick the correct card when the shuffling stops) Memory Game (flip 2 cards over to find matching objects) You can Enable or Disable the Score Effects after each level (yes!) Enable or Disable the Background Effects, Enable or Disable Simple Battle Mode (during the Battle Card Mode, your opponent will not play any cards on his turn & will just build up battle cards after you click on the deck pile) and you can Enable or Disable the Hidden Objects (before each Realm or set of 10 levels, you must search for Hidden Objects unless you disable this feature)
There is also a Freeplay Mode (Higher/Lower, Match 2, Sum 14) a Tri-Peaks Mode, and a Five-Peaks Solitaire Mode as well as the Story Mode. You can earn 4 Stars per level, (4 Stars=perfect, 3 Stars=1 card remaining, 2 Stars=2 cards remaining, 1 Star=3 cards remaining) Combos start at 6 cards and you get 1 Undo per level. Some cards have Coins that are earned when you remove them and Jokers turn into Number Specific Wildcards that can be stored for use at any time. The Coins earned can be used in the Shop to purchase Power-ups, but you can only store 5 Power-up Cards at a time.
As you progress, various Obstacles are added such as the Magical Stone Card which requires using the Mace Card to smash. The Fog Cards need to be removed twice, and the Axe Card is required to Break the Ice Card.
In Battle Mode, you will take turns against your opponent (unless you disable this mode in the settings) The goal is to build up Attack or Heal Cards as you play a normal hand of solitaire until you can't remove any more cards. The amount of stars you collect is determined by the number of turns it takes you to defeat the enemy.
If you want a Solitaire game with a lot of variety that is really addicting, this is definitely it!
