I completed this game and have mixed feelings about it. At several points I decided I hated the game only to continue game play and finally finish. All in all I liked this game because it is different. One of the reviewers mentioned it's material for a movie and I can see it too.
Things I didn't like were (1# there isn't a walkthrough. I think this would have been very helpful; #2# the map was only available when the character time traveled; and #3) while there weren't any technical issues preventing game play I did experience some minor issues that really irked me, e.g., when I knocked down the solar system and got the earth, the inventory showed the earth but called it a candlestick; during a HOS there was a butterfly hint which looked very much like a bow to me; and another was the dialogue said "what an unpleasant person", when, in fact, the person was smiling. There were a few others, but I think you get the idea of why I found it irksome at times.
The HOS consisted of lists, silhouettes, put an object in the scene; and find multiple things to create one. All were very easy. I played in the easy mode and there wasn't a penalty for mis-clicks.
The puzzles were nothing special. I, like another reviewer, had trouble with the slider puzzle, where you had to keep it in the green. One worked, but the others didn't so I skipped. The skip button charges quickly. The tile puzzle -- like dominos -- gave me a fit because one tile I had placed I accidently touched it again and it wouldn't go back into its spot, but I was able to complete the puzzle with the tile still stuck to my cursor.
This really could have been an awesome game if it had been a little longer and not had so many flukes. I didn't time my game play but it was the shortest game I've ever played.
Read the reviews and play the demo. I certainly think it's worth a buy
I recommend this game!

I Really Loved This Game. Bring on Some more of the Same!
This review is based on playing the SE in casual mode and completing the game (and wanting a sequel right away!).
The story has a good witch, some bad witches, and several very attractive heroes IMHO. I won't go into the story as much has already been said in some really awesome reviews.
I've given this game a 5 because it met my opinion of excellence in every thing except level of challenge (4# and that was because this is an easy game but it held my attention #I never got lost) and kept me playing long after my bedtime.
It has the best interactive map ever showing actual pictures of the scene and an exclamation mark showing some action can be taken there.
The hint button has free directions and works standard, by pointing to an object, in both game play and in the HOS.
The HOS are standard list or you have the option of playing a match game instead. I mostly played the HOS, but I did play a couple of the match games just to be able to comment on them in my review. The first match game I played left me with 3 tiles that didn't match so I finished in the HOS. The next time I played I didn't have any tiles left over. Other than that there were not technical issues in my game play -- no dragging custom cursor or long delay in scene changes.
There were lots of puzzles ranging from very easy to not so easy, but there is a wonderful skip button that recharges fast. There is also a walk through of this game which is a good way to learn how to solve puzzles and if you want to learn a few tricks of game play.
There are also mini scenes where you use a dream catcher to step into someone's dream -- how different is that!
Don't exit out of the game when it has finished, but listen to a short narrative which I thought was very cool.
As always I suggest you play the demo and read several of the reviews. I hope you read mine and it's helpful.
I recommend this game!

Haunted Train: Spirits of Charon
Charon's train has left the station, and you'll never believe who's on board!
I won't go into detail about the story as other reviewers have done a splendid job -- thank you so much. I will tell you why I rated this game as I did.
I liked the story premise, but it could have been so much better and the ending certainly could have been longer.
It has a terrific interactive map, showing areas where things could be done and transporting you there. I always love this feature.
The help feature had free directional hints and acted normally other times by pointing things out with a circle affect. The hint recharges reasonably fast.
I read so many reviews that complain about the number of HOS in a HOG, but I'm complaining there weren't enough HOS in this HOG! The ones presented were very easy and sometimes repeated.
Some of the mini games were okay and fun, but some of them I didn't understand and used the ever so lovely skip button which recharges rather quickly.
I disabled the custom cursor because of the drag; there were times the game sort of lagged; and the one scene on the bridge where the statue holding the book of crystals sort of merged with the guy in the coffin in the carriage (changed scenes and went back and it was normal again) -- other than those minor things there were no technical issues.
This would be a great game for a beginner because there is a lot of "hand holding", i.e., pointing out what to do next. I don't mind the help but some "expert puritans" might. I always play in the relaxed mode.
I don't think it's suitable for young children. It's not an R rating in my opinion but definitely PG because of the mature subject matter, e.g., murder and death.
As always I suggest you play the demo and read several of the reviews. I hope you read mine and it's helpful.
I recommend this game!

The Fog
Don't be afraid of The Fog. Fear what lies within it!
I finished this game. What can I say that's not already been said. I hated this game. It's gory, leaves many unanswered questions, and ends abruptly. This is certainly not a game for children of any age.
There isn't a walk through and the map is not interactive. It does have a very good hint button and that's the only thing I liked about the game.
Play the demo and read the reviews. Go to the forum and read about it.
I don't recommend this game.

Ghost: Elisa Cameron
Am I dead? Apparently, and you have no memory of how it happened. Death may be the least of your problems.
I first read lots of reviews so I knew many of the bad press this game was getting, but to be fair I wanted to experience it myself.
I kind of liked the voice, although it was a little over done. But the issues with the game are overwhelming. Play the demo and I think you'll see what I'm talking about.
I don't know why BF continues to have these games in there inventory.
I can't recommend this game.

Bluebeard's Castle
Save your sister from Bluebeard’s Castle in this incredible Hidden Object Puzzle Adventure game!
Didn't even finish the demo. I spent more time looking at a black screen while it changed scenes as I did playing the game. I read this is a common complaint. I guess this is just an old game. There isn't a map and the hint feature is useless outside the HOS. Won't purchase or recommend this.
I don't recommend this game.

Obscure Legends: Curse of the Ring
You're the sole survivor of a shipwreck, but you can't leave the island until the captain's cursed ring is destroyed.
This game was fun to play albeit it short. I played in the easy mode (always do) and I finished the game. This game moves very fast and because of that I was able to keep up with the storyline which was nice for a change. This game would be excellent for a beginner but I believe even an expert would enjoy it if you truly like HOS and puzzles.
The graphics weren't flashy but everything was fairly clear both during the game and in the HOS.
Even though this is a SE (standard edition# it has an excellent map which shows where there is something to do as well as transports you to the location. This is my favorite thing to have in any game but is usually found only in CE #collector editions# but not always.
The hint button gives free directions during gameplay and works standard for everything else, i.e., points where things are.
There are lots of puzzles. Some easy others not so much, but there is a skip button which recharges quickly.
There is also a mini game where you pick up coins along the way to fix a pirate's ship.
This won't win any awards but I wasn't disappointed that I had purchased the game. Play the demo and read some of the reviews #I hope you read this one) before making up your mind to purchase.
Big Fish is a great gaming venue and offers hours and hours of fun. Hope you enjoy playing as much as I do. Thank you for reading my review.

Shiver: Poltergeist Collector's Edition
After inheriting a manor in England, you begin to explore the Kangale Estate and discover its history!
That's what I kept asking myself as I tracked back and forth and back and forth. Ho hum, I'm just glad I finely finished it.
There is no map. There should have been a map it would have made this game so much better. Going back and forth is somewhat distracting for me and soon I got lost asking myself "now which way do I go?".
Thank goodness for the directional help which was free.
There of course is also a helpful guide.
The HOS are gray and sepia in color and some objects are hard to find and in some of the HOS there were 2 items with the same description, like shells, but only one was the correct shell. The HOS aren't repeated.
The puzzles weren't anything special, but they were easy enough for me to finish. I only skipped one, the locket. I had the clue but I couldn't get it open.
The game ended abruptly but the bonus game sort of explained what had happened. I think it could have been done better. I'm still asking myself what was the root cause.
Play the demo and read some of the reviews both good and bad before purchasing. It wasn't awful, but there are better games.
I don't recommend this game.

Vampires: Todd & Jessica's Story
Explore an extraordinary and touching love story that will touch your heart and blow your mind!
Phew! Based on the demo and the $2.99 deal I'm passing.
This game is too hard. There isn't a map, or a walkthrough and the hints are awful, e.g., you get some kind of a swish across the scene.
I always play in the easy mode but I play daily and think of myself an expert, but this game wasn't meant for the player to have a fighting chance to make this game enjoyable.
Please play the demo before purchasing this one even if you are an expert. No fun here.
I don't recommend this game.

Through Andrea's Eyes
Young Andrea suddenly collapsed, falling into a coma. Now her fate rests on an experiment that dives deep into minds.
I have no idea what it takes to develop a game, but I wish the developers had spent a little more time/money? on voiceovers.
I won't tell the story in this review as it has already had many great reviews with detail of the storyline. I will just tell you what I liked and didn't.
First I loved the story from beginning to end. The scenery is graphically okay. Their help and skip are generous.
I didn't use the map because I just forgot it was there until near the end, but it looked like it might be a good one which teleported (love that feature).
What I most didn't like was the lack of voiceover. There were voiceovers sometimes, but then you're left to read the dialogue. Why, why, why?
There weren't many HOS. I personally love HOS that's why I play games listed under Hidden Objects. This just didn't have enough of the HO scenes for me.
The music and sounds were sometimes good but at other times annoying.
