In a fading world devoid of color, the ghost of Nikola Tesla reaches through the Ether and invites you on an incredible adventure through time and space.
Decided to give this a try after reading the reviews which said it is a bit different, and it certainly is. The storyline is a refreshing change from spirits/long lost lovers etc which is great and the scientific angle exercises the brain..well it did mine. Not too many HOS which I really liked and the ones there were, were straightforward. A lot has been said about the 'talking' in other reviews and I can't say it bothered me cos I never have the sound on anyway..lol. So if you don't want to read, you click! The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is that there was quite a lot of prompting and a few sparkles when I would rather figure it out for myself. Other than that...great game and will look out for the next one!
This game started off well for me. The demo held my interest so I bought it.
The graphics were okay and no sound as always turn it off. The storyline itself was fine...I like freeing trapped spirits..lol, the puzzles were not overly challenging but some a little different which was good. The HOS were challenging as some of the items were so well hidden and the scenes a bit dark, so it got a bit annoying and I resorted to the hint button. There were also far too many HOS for me.
The bonus game was a little strange, in that you end up rescuing the main female character again (unless I missed something in the main game!), so it didn't really flow. It was also a bit of a re-hash of the puzzles/objects from the main game so wasn't really worth the extra money.
Overall I did quite enjoy the main game as it was a good length, but for the sequel I would like to see less HOS, with interactive elements, a journal/diary so you don't have to write things down on a piece of paper yourself, and a more exciting bonus chapter.
Having played the demo, I bought the game with a bonus credit as I wanted to see how it progressed.
It appears quite simplistic when you start playing but the level of challenge in figuring out what to do next and some of the puzzles was surprisingly good. I played on 'dreamer' level so no sparkles but still have the hint button. The HOS are standard but some good interactive stuff which is not immediately obvious.
I found the game quite short overall, but entertaining nonetheless if you want something a little different from the games we usually play.
I recommend this game!

Nightmares from the Deep: The Cursed Heart Collector's Edition
Dive into an epic journey as a museum owner in pursuit of an undead pirate who has kidnapped your daughter in Nightmares from the Deep: The Cursed Heart!
I wasn't sure I would like this but gave it a try after reading the rave reviews and am very pleased I did. Super scenes, good adventure and interesting puzzles. There would normally have been a few too many HOS for me but the option to play mahjong is fab and therefore I alternated between the two. Highly recommend, clearly a lot of thought has gone in to this game which is great to see!
This game was right up my street. Fab graphics, interesting storyline with a twist, that kept me interested throughout the game and in to the bonus chapter.
Had to check the guide a couple of times so definitely challenging and I liked the puzzles too. The HOS were pretty standard, but about the right number of them, so no worries there. A good length of game play and good bonus chapter so well worth the money as a CE.
The graphics were clear but not atmospheric or interesting.
I liked the fact that there were no HOS as such, you have to find items hidden in the main scenes to fix things, so this was a bit different from usual. The puzzles, whilst easy were fun and also a change from the norm. What was missing for me was the adventure..there wasn't one as such. You just move from scene to scene and back again finding bits for puzzles, which gets a bit dull.
I didn't dislike it, just would rather play something a bit more interesting and challenging.
Challenge yourself in the role of the scientist-historian-scholar of ancient civilizations and mystical legends and save your friend from the Demon of Darkness!
Having played the first game in this series and liked it, I was excited to see this one and bought it after playing the demo.
The storyline is good if you like mystical adventures..which I do, and the rooms changing with different light is something I loved in the first game so pleased to see it here.
The HOS were not too difficult and I liked the fact that some involved replacing objects as opposed to finding them. There also were not too many of them which I liked as I prefer the adventure bit of games. The puzzles were on the whole quite challenging and I did use the skip button a couple of times out of frustration..lol.
The only reason I am giving it a 4 stars rather than 5 is because the bonus chapter was a bit repetitious. You end up going back to areas you have been before in the main game and doing some of the same puzzles, so this was a bit lacking in imagination for me.
Overall though, great game and a good length, so would definitely recommend it.

I played half the demo and I'm afraid to say, was well and truly bored and had already found half of the artifacts, which doesn't bode well for the length of the game if you buy it!
The graphics were okay but nothing special and the whole thing lacked atmosphere for me. The HOS were straightforward and there were lots of them (which personally I don't like). No adventure at all and the puzzles were not challenging....my 10 year old enjoyed them though....enough said I think!

This review is based on the demo.
The game started off well for me in that I thought 'ooh fab storyline' and I liked the idea of special powers. Thereafter it all got a bit dreary really. As everyone has said..too many cut scenes and whilst the HOS were challenging, there were too many of them for me, and the few puzzles I did were relatively easy.
All in all very disappointed in this CE and will wait for the SE.
