Beautiful graphics, an animated, helpful sidekick, a strong storyline, a help system that really does help and an interactive map. Hidden object scenes were nearly 100% clear and unobstructed. I even left the music on.
Unfortunately, many of the cut-scenes were out of sync and the plot left too many loose ends. The ending is abrupt and confusing.
I recommend this game!

This game might have gotten 5 stars if it weren't for some of the HOS objects being totally obscured. I really appreciate when HOS objects are hidden cleverly but putting things in pitch black areas is poor form.
Other than that, I enjoyed the storyline, the characters, the voice-overs and even the music (which I usually turn off).
What really saved the game for me was the Hint System; it is helpful in the game as well as the HOS and it recharges quickly.
I'm usually a huge fan of "transporter" maps. This game doesn't have any kind of map ... but it doesn't need one. Each chapter is small geographically and progress through them is fairly logical. There is some "back & forthing" but I found it tolerable.
Fun game.
I recommend this game!

OK, I'm clueless. I just never got where this game wanted to take me. There were lots of things to like but way too many more that were frustrating. Some HOS that were straightforward and some that defied English comprehension and/or had objects completely obscured.
Hints are completely useless in the game and take way too long to refresh in the HOS.
If ever a game needed a map, this is it.
Lots to like in this game. It's a testament to all the good things that it took me so long to finally send it to my NO locker.
I don't recommend this game.

This game may not be for the hardcore, expert, I don't need no stinkin' sparkles/hints/maps crowd but it sure is pretty and it gave me lots of enjoyment. Is it worth it as a CE? Maybe not because. as others have said, you don't need the Strategy Guide (I never even looked at it) and the bonus chapter was no great shakes. As a matter of fact, I'm pretty sure I recognize a couple of HOS lifted directly from an earlier game from this developer in the bonus round. And there's still the occasional "lost in translation factor" in some item descriptions.
Nonetheless, I can heartily recommend the SE version or the CE if you can get it at a discount.
Bottom line is that I've played a couple of these games now and I'll probably buy the next one as well because I got my money's worth both times.
I recommend this game!

The story's interesting, graphics are nice and the music's unobtrusive.
What I really appreciate is having a map that let's me see where things are completed and where things need to be done and that lets me transport to where or near where I want to go.
The HOS are usually pretty clear with only a few things hidden in absolute darkness.
Some puzzles were new to me and most of them were not very difficult which is fine since puzzles are not my thing.
I loved the cheekiness of some of the dialog along the way.
I think it's nice that there's a bonus puzzle at the end and they make it easy to get the 20 items you need to unlock it. But ... I don't know if it is really worth the programming effort. I got bored after my 3rd lion.

I's a 4+++ for me but I just can't go all the way to 5.
Thoroughly enjoyed this l-o-n-g game and the bonus chapter. There are many locations to explore in two parallel worlds and the bonus chapter adds new locations not previously explored.
There are several puzzles that I haven't seen before and others only rarely.
The Hint system is quite helpful in both the HOS and in the game itself.
The Map is great in that it lets you know where there are actions you can take. It's not a transporter but you usually don't have to backtrack too far.
I would love the opportunity to proofread/edit their next game before it's released. There were too many errors in that area for me.

Well drawn. Atmospheric music (and I usually turn it off). The game play is fluid and fairly linear. There are more repeat HOS than I usually like but they are not junk piles, there's a reasonable number of items to find, and they're mostly logically placed. 1 demerit for not keeping items found previously out of the scene during subsequent re-visits.
Bottom line: This is a nice-looking, uncomplicated game with a fast, helpful Hint system and a teleporting map. This is definitely my kind of game.

If ever a game cried out for an interactive map, this one is it. There's lots of back and forthing and the hints are no help. The hint system works a treat in the HOS but is totally useless in the game when all you get is: "There's nothing to do here." I finally got frustrated enough in the final chapter to throw in the towel
I will recommend this game only for people with more patience than I can muster.
I don't recommend this game.

I will put this title in my "maybe so, maybe not" pile .
Loved everything about the game except the number of items in the HOS.
I'm just not a fan of 12+ items to find in a HOS. If that works for you, you'll find everything else about this game right up your alley.
I will say that HO items are (generally) logically placed and, when you revisit a scene, previously found items are gone. That's worth the price of admission on its own.
The Hint system worked well. The objective hints were a nice touch.
The graphics are excellent.
I recommend this game!

Too many plot holes.
Unhelpful Hints (except in the HOs)
(HOs are pretty good. in that there's a reasonable number of items to find, they're not junk piles, and, for the most part, objects are logically placed.
I put this game in my NO pile but there's definite potential here so I'll keep an open mind for their future endeavors.
For now, can't recommend. Sorry.
