I'm a man. I enjoy playing Hidden Object / Adventure games. I don't enjoy having to play as a woman. I'm sure it isn't creatively or technically too challenging to offer play as a male/female/other character. I will personally not buy another game that is so restrictive.
I don't recommend this game.

PuppetShow: The Price of Immortality Collector's Edition
Your friend vanishes after investigating the mysterious Theater of Emotions
I won't re-hash what so many have already said about the graphics, sound, puzzles, HOS, etc. There was one at the very end that was uncharacteristically dark.
If it had a map, it would have gotten 5 stars from me.
When the entire audience disappears from a film screening at an old theater, you must go behind the scenes to find out who is running the mysterious Nightmare Cinema.
This game was great until I got to the bonus round.
It has lovely locations, a superb map, a great hint system, terrific Hidden Object Scenes, cool storyline, interesting characters and excellent voice-overs. Lots of collectables, morphing objects (in the game and in the HOS). As a SE, this game would have been an easy 5 stars for me.
Unfortunately, I couldn't complete the Bonus chapter and neither could many others as I learned when I visited the game's forum.
I will recommend the game as an SE and as a CE if/when the Bonus chapter glitch is resolved.
I liked the story but and some of the locations but that was about it.
There was too much back and forthing for my taste, especially without a map.
The Hidden Object Scenes were what really tore it for me. There are too many of them, they're dark and ill-defined junkpiles and some items are just hidden in pitch-black areas.
Loved the look and feel of this game. Lots of different locales to visit. I even enjoyed the music. Good story. Cut-scenes worked smoothly. Hint system is very helpful.
Two things that really worked for me are the map and the innovative Hidden Object scenes. The map is a transporter type that shows where you are, where there are pending actions, where you will have to return later, and where all actions are complete. The HOS are 2 scenes in one where you travel from one to the other by clicking on a timepiece. If you get stuck, you can use a Hint as usual but you can also play word game that I found very appealing.
This is an absolutely beautiful game with lots of different venues, interesting characters.
Storyline is lacking. There's no map that let's you go seamlessly from place to place and endless l-o-n-g back and forthing.
This is potentially a 5 star game. Too bad. It has gone into my "NO" folder. I can only recommend it for players with infinite patience and lots of time on their hands.
If this game had a "jump" map, it would have been 5 stars for me.
There are lots of varied places to see and interact with, the storyline tracks well, the artwork is superb, the hidden object scenes are clear and they are of 2 types, the hint system is quite useful and replenishes pretty quickly, and, finally, there are lots of new puzzles.
Too much back & forthing for my taste unfortunately and that's exacerbated by the lack of a good map.
Beautiful graphics, an animated, helpful sidekick, a strong storyline, a help system that really does help and an interactive map. Hidden object scenes were nearly 100% clear and unobstructed. I even left the music on.
