REVIEW OF COMPLETED GAME
You play Mary Gilbert who has to rescue your niece, Jenny. There is:
* Voiceovers (with dialogue);
* Casual, Advanced, Expert and Custom modes of play;
* Diary;
* Interactive map;
* 30 Achievements;
* Find 20 glimmering mirrors and 14 cards.
The graphics are very good - very colourful and easy to see everything you need. Sound is good and the music is orchestral and another form of instrument - not guitar but something similar.
The hidden object games are interactive straightforward, finding so many of a certain item like feathers, etc and pieces of equipment to make it whole. You will do each HOP once. These are all very easy to do and each one takes only a couple of minutes.
There are a good variety of mini-games which don't take long to do. I didn't see any that I haven't played before. You will be making a variety of potions as well.
The 20 glimmering mirrors and 14 cards are not hidden and you just collect them as you go through the scenes. Get them all and you get an achievement.
I found I didn't need to use the interactive map at all because there are only a couple of scenes to accomplish before you move on, so no traipsing backwards and forwards. I played on Expert mode, but if you are playing on Casual, I believe it shows where tasks are to do if you get stuck.
I got all but one of the achievements. I have to play the game again and make different decisions to get that achievement. Maybe later down the road I'll do it again.
All up the game took me about 4 hours or so to play. I did enjoy it and took my time playing.
Overall, a very good game that can be played with all family members. Its an easy game and if you are in the mood for just chilling out without giving too much thought, then this game is perfect.
Happy playing fishies.
I recommend this game!

REVIEW OF COMPLETED GAME
This game is perfect to play with younger family members as there is something in there for everyone. There is:
* Voiceovers (with dialogue);
* Easy, Normal and Difficult modes of play;
* Interactive map;
* Diary.
The graphics are crystal clear and sharp. There is plenty of colour and items are easy to find. Sound is good and the music is orchestral and kind of rock with guitars.
The hidden object games are interactive straightforward which you will do once. Items are clear to find and each one only takes a couple of minutes. I enjoyed doing these.
There are a huge (and I mean monumental) amount of mini-games to play, ranging from quite easy to hard. I played them all but found that I was getting sick of them towards the end of the game. However, most of them are educational and kids will have fun doing these as well.
I liked the story line. Its easy to follow and I really wanted to know how the ending would pan out. I wasn't disappointed.
Overall, its quite a good educational game for all family members. Some mini-games will need a bit of patience and an adult to be nearby, but I think kids could do most of these themselves.
I recommend this game!

This game is awesome. There is so much to do and plenty of places to visit. There is:
* Voiceovers (with dialogue);
* Casual, Advanced, Hard and Customer modes of play (you can turn off Hint and Skip to make it harder);
* 21 Achievements;
* Diary;
* Interactive map;
* Find 30 morphing objects;
* Find 42 collection items.
The graphics are very good and everywhere is clear to see. Sound is good and the music is gorgeous which I had on very loud (as is usual).
The hidden object games are all highly interactive silhouette - find one item to use to find another, etc. These are not hard but they still take a bit of time to do. I enjoyed them.
There are a good variety of mini-games to play which had a great challenge. Some took me ages to do. The answers to some of the mini-games and other important things you will need is in your diary. So if you get stuck, just check in there.
This game is quite mechanical whereby you will be building things and are often looking for and using items of a mechanical nature. There are lots of tiles and runes to find as well.
Throughout each scene there is one morphing object and a collectible to find. I did these first so I wouldn't forget about them. However, if you don't feel like looking for them, then you can do them in the Extras.
Getting all 21 Achievements is going to be a mission. I got 18, so somewhere down the track I'll play it again and try and get them all.
All up the game and bonus took me around 9 hours or so. The bonus is quite long too. You can probably do this in much less time, but I didn't use the interactive map and relied on my memory (no wonder it took ages!). I find that I remember places and where items are better if I don't use it much.
Overall, a great game and well done to the developers. I have all their games and often play them again a second time.
Definitely comes recommended.
I recommend this game!

REVIEW OF COMPLETED GAME
I really enjoyed this game as there is plenty to do in each scene. Its a basic game with no frills, but it is entertaining.
There is:
* Voiceovers (with dialogue);
* Casual and Expert modes of play; and
* Interactive map (works well).
The graphics are okay - a bit grainy and needs sharpening up, but I was able to find everything I needed without any problem. Items are easy to locate and use. Sound is good and the music is mainly orchestral. The voiceovers I think are digitally done because they sound very computerised. However, I didn't mind this.
The hidden object games are straightforward which you will do once. Items are easy to find, however there are some wrong words there - like 'leave' is 'leaf', 'blade is spatula' and 'tranquilizer receipt' is actually a 'recipe'. This actually made laugh more than frustrated - so just go with the flow. I'm sure the developers will become more factually correct as they make more games. I don't want to put them off making more games if we come down too hard on them.
If you need to use the interactive map, then you will see that it shows you the locations of where tasks are to do if you get stuck or lost.
There are not a lot of mini-games. The flower mini-game I played took me ages but the rest were easy.
Overall, I think the game was fun and I look forward to seeing of more this developer in the future. I know this game is a bit basic with no morphing objects or collectibles, but lets see what they bring us next - you never know, they may really surprise us.
Comes recommended - go and have a looksie.
I recommend this game!

REVIEW OF COMPLETED GAME
I really enjoyed the game and pretty much played it all in one sitting. There is plenty to do and had a good sense or urgency to get the tasks done. There is:
* Voiceovers (with dialogue);
* Casual, Advanced, Expert and Custom modes of play;
* Interactive map;
* Alchemy books for making potions.
The graphics are fabulous - every scene is colourful and crystal clear. I stopped at every scene just to stare around and think how lovely and detailed everything looks.
Sound is good. The dialogue is how we speak today even though it looks to be around the sixteen hundreds - so no thees or thous or dialogue that we can't understand. The music is orchestral and piano which is played quietly in the background.
The hidden object games are slightly interactive straightforward, find pieces of machinery and finding items to use to find another, etc. Because of the graphics, everything was easy to see and grab. You do each HOP once which only takes a couple of minutes.
There are a good variety of mini-games to play. We've seen them all before, however they were great to play again. These are all very easy to do and you can get back to the game quickly.
I didn't need to use the interactive map at all because there are only a couple of scenes to undertake tasks before you move on.
You have an alchemy book to make potions. As you go through each scene, you will collect items for the potion. The potion book at the bottom on the left hand side of your screen will glow when you need to use it. You will need to do a mini-game for each one which consists of three circles and you have to get the correct coloured rubies for each circle. Now, these start out easy, but progressively get harder as you move through the game. There are a lot of potions to make, so I hope you like making them.
All up the game took me about 5 hours to play and I really enjoyed the game. Personally I think this game is perfect for beginners and to play with younger family members. I played on hard mode but still found it too easy. However, the mini-games are educational and fun to do and so worth spending an afternoon on, especially if you just want to chill out and have some fun.
Definitely comes recommended. Happy playing fishies.
I recommend this game!

I completed the first 120 boards on normal mode, but on Expert I only got to 100 boards and gave up through boredom. There are only half a dozen kinds of boards to play. Most of these are collapse modes, limited jewels, timed boards, fill the diamonds, limited moves and some bugs to get rid of.
I liked the first 120 boards but I am still furious that the Expert mode had exactly the same boards, except they are harder to play. In past games we had Secret Entrance, Dodge, Strangle Vine, Build, Locks, Climbing, Evasion, Expansion, Cave-in, Pathmaking, Delicate Jewels, Light Fire, Flood, Snowstorm, Electricity, Unbury, and of course our favourite the cheeky monkeys, and so many more boards to play. So what happened? I wished the developers had thought to add some (or all) of these to make the game more exciting.
The graphics are okay. At first I thought the boards were too big, but you get used to them quickly. Sound is good, however I had the music turned off.
The game can be a bit temperamental and will stop responding in the middle of a game and throw you out.
I have now buried this game in the deepest part of the pond, never to be looked at again. However, I still play the older games and try to better my score.
Definitely trial before you buy.

REVIEW OF COMPLETED GAME AND BONUS
This is a good adventure game with plenty to do. The main game is about getting Mike Valance back into his rightful body and the bonus is about saving Mike who was turned to stone from a death curse. Mike also has Martha and Jim to help save him. There is:
* Voiceovers (with dialogue);
* Novice, Artist, Virtuoso and Improviser modes of play (you can turn off Hint and Skip to make it more challenging);
* Interactive map;
* Journal;
* 9 Achievements (some with 3 circles in each);
* Find 38 records;
* Lots of extras like the treasure hunt, etc.
The graphics are lovely - very colourful and crisp to the eye. Everywhere is clear to see.
Sound is good and the music is mainly electric guitar, which I had on very loud.
The hidden object games are interactive straightforward, silhouette, putting items back, reading text and then finding the item you need. The last HOP was using sliders left and right with parts missing to make the item whole. I enjoyed that one. There is one morphing object per HOP, so keep a beady eye out for it - it can be elusive.
The mini-games are all very easy to do, except one. That was the maths HOP to get to 15. I really didn't understand that one because most of the numbers were too high, so in the end I had to look in the Strategy Guide. Still don't get it!
There is no need to use the interactive map because you stay in the same area until all tasks are done and most only had a couple of scenes.
Finding the 38 records is very easy. They are not hidden and you just pick them up as you go through each scene. I'm not entirely sure why they were there because there was no challenge in getting them.
All up the game and bonus took me about 5 hours to play, not skipping or hinting any mini-games.
Overall, the game has a great storyline, there is plenty to do and you certainly won't get bored. This game is too easy for experts but great for beginners who want to gain some experience.
Happy playing fishies.
I recommend this game!

REVIEW FROM COMPLETED GAME
I really liked this game. No, it doesn't have all the bells and whistles that we are now used to, but it does have a great story line, lots of monsters and a demon to defeat. You are on a journey to find your fiance Albert, and what an adventure you are going to have. There is:
* Voiceovers (with dialogue);
* Casual and Advanced modes of play;
* Interactive map;
* Find pieces of the amulet throughout the game.
The graphics are pretty good - everywhere is clear to see and to find everything you need. Sound is good and the music is orchestral and piano.
The hidden object games are slightly interactive straightforward. Items are clear to find and each one only takes a couple of minutes. You will do each HOP once.
I enjoyed the mini-games. These are not hard to do and you can get back to the game fairly quickly. They are the usual sorts of mini-games you find in most games.
There are a lot of locations to go through, so the interactive map will help.
I found playing in Advanced mode that I didn't have any sort of help. There were no sparkling areas, arrows to guide me or any form of help on how to do or look for things, so that was good. If I clicked on something of interest, most of the time there was no dialogue, so I had to nut it out on my own. I liked that. After I finished the game, I had a look in Casual mode which had arrows and more dialogue to help. You can change your mode of play at any time throughout the game.
There are lots of monsters you will encounter - some of which are hideous. The demon is the ugliest - will you defeat him and save Albert? That is the question.
All up the game took me about 4 hours to play. However, I wanted to carry on because I was enjoying it. Definitely comes recommended.
Happy playing fishies.
I recommend this game!

REVIEW OF COMPLETED GAME
You are off on an adventure to find Robert who is trying to locate the other half of the Heaven's Tear.
The game is okay. I liked the story line, but the graphics are predominantly horrible.
There is:
* Voiceovers (with dialogue);
* Casual, Normal and Expert modes of play;
* Notebook;
* Interactive map which shows areas of interest.
I found the graphics in a lot of scenes were hard to distinguish and a bit blurry. Normally I don't mind old style type graphics, but I really struggled with this game. Colours are quite muted and washed out. Sound is good and the music is played on a loop, but its nice to listen to.
The hidden object games are slightly interactive straightforward and silhouette which you will play twice. Most of these are easy to do, however a few items are difficult to find due to them being hard to see (for instance, a mushroom hidden inside a hollow of a tree). I also found that it can be picky where you click on items, so be careful. Each HOP takes about 5 minutes of so to do.
The mini-games I have seen all before. These are very easy to do and I was back to the game in no time.
If you get stuck on where to go next, just look in the interactive map which shows areas of interest.
The game took me about 5 hours to play on Expert mode.
Overall, I like the story and the characters, but just can't get passed the awful graphics. Definitely trial before you buy.

REVIEW OF COMPLETED GAME
This story is about Amanda and James who are about to get married, but things are about to turn nasty.
There is:
* Voiceovers (with dialogue);
* Normal, Hard and Detective modes of play;
* Journal;
* Interactive map.
The graphics are not bad - scenes are kind of dark but you can find everything you need without any problem.
The hidden object games are straightforward, silhouette and one HOP by finding items by torchlight. You will do each of these twice. All the items are easy to find and each one only takes a couple of minutes to do.
I liked the mini-games. Once again these are very easy to do. I didn't see any new ones I haven't played before in the past but I still enjoyed doing them again.
There is an interactive map, but I didn't need to use it as you are only going a couple of steps forwards or backwards.
All up the game took me about 3 hours to play. Its not a long game and I was disappointed when it finished cause I wanted to carry on.
This game is perfect to play in between the big grunty games that need our full attention or to fill in a rainy afternoon. Its easy to play, has a good storyline and enough suspense to keep you entertained. As I say, it is old school but I love these sorts of games.
Happy playing fishies.
I recommend this game!
