Truly Shocked to see the low ratings on this Old School Adventure Game... Baffled Really Cameron Files BOTH the first and second one are Two of my All Time Favorite Adventure Games.. Not a Rubbish Game at all... I have played both of the games many times now.. Never tire of replaying them...
If you want your hand held thru out gameplay Old School Adventure Games are most likely not for you... Unless you use a walkthrough....
It was only within the past Five Years or so.. that Adventure Games combined themselves with HOGS and Offer the Option to hold your hand... by giving you a Skip button on mini games... giving you tuts inside games... and allowing you to set your level of play.. easy to hard(with Exception of Nancy Drew Games)
Also some folks are turned off to any graphics that are not up to the minute.. but When this game was Created.. the Graphics were Superior for that time....
If you are an Adventure Gamer and have not played the Cameron Files Games... its your loss...
Fabulous HOG/Adventure game and i am not into the HOG part of the games.. I prefer straight up Adventure Games.. The HOGS are nice though not irritating or Impossible to see...
Story And Characters are well thought out and kept me up until the wee hours playing because I wanted to know what will happen next.. Game is Creepy to me which I like... not just scary.. reminded me a bit of the old pc point and click Adventure 'Seven Sins of the Soul' or also called 'Faust'... I also felt Super Creeped out in a fun good way for most of the game..
Its Important to me to read other reviews about purchasing either the CE or SE.. I have to say about this game.. you are Missing out if you don't get the Collectors Edition... the Bonus Game play reveals the "Rest of the Story"
Very Well Done and It is definitely a game I will replay several times...
This is actually the first adventure game i ever played..and it got me hooked for life..if you enjoy adventure games i do recommend this one..No offense to Big Fish..but you can snag this game as a used disc for next to nothing and not bother with the thing being broken up into parts..However i dont know if those discs will play on win7..i have win7 ..xp and windows 98 so i can play any disc i buy..if you dont have the options..the Big Fish offer here is prolly your best bet ..
I am a Build a Lot Addict and really enjoyed playing Royal Envoy..i purchased the collectors edition and am pleased with my purchase..However..i tried the trial offer for the 2nd one and i really hate the game..it reminds me more of an arcade game or super mario brothers..you have to actually click on the resources..you have to collect food large apple icons..and the resources disappear if you do not get to them fast enough..i hate this type of game and it strayed too far from the original imo..this is just me..sure many of you love it..as for myself ..i will be putting this one on my list of disappointing games..
