I was a bit dubious when I saw this game but after reading the reviews I decided to give it a go. What a gem of a game. Great cartoonlike graphics, lovely music and a fantastic superhero cow. Basically it is collecting coins, gems and defeating beasties (love jumping on the snails and dogs). You guide the superhero throughout the scene - mouse control can be a little difficult at times especially with some of the jumps. There are also trophies to collect and Supercow's diary is a hoot. The levels are not that difficult to accomplish. The hour demo just flew by. Definitely buy this one if you want a laugh and a fairly simple game to control.
I recommend this game!

Murder, She Wrote
Help the world-renowned author, Jessica Fletcher, solve murders! Piece together the clues to crack cases in Murder, She Wrote!
Like the other reviewers I am a fan of the TV series. This game is a very close adaptation of the series. Graphics are good and there is the trademark music at the beginning. Finding the letters for the typewriter and its ribbon (for a hint) is a novel idea. HOS is uncluttered and most objects are relatively easy to find. The same scene is repeated several times but the objects are in different places. Assembling clues (the mini-games consist of jigsaws, matching items, spot the difference etc) is fairly easy. VO for the characters a good idea since there is a lot of character interaction.
Kept me enthralled for the hour of the demo. Will have to buy this if I want to find out who the murderer is.
Not as good as Luxor 3 or 4. Looks stunning, music dramatic but not annoying. Four difficulty levels (didn't try the insane level). Lots of powerups but some bugs in the program. Trophies to collect which is good. Different modes (story, blast etc).
While I enjoyed my free hour this isn't one to buy.
Pretty basic storyline - stop birds being eaten by cats, build their town. Very colourful and the background music is nice. Very pedestrian game - so very easy to shoot the marbles and collect gems/coins. Liked the bird construction crew with their hard hats.
Nice game to play for 30 minutes. Kids would appreciate this one.

A little more comprehensive bat and ball tile breaking game. More upgrades to catch than other games. Three modes for each level (easy, medium and hard). Graphics and music are OK. As a reward the game offers various plaques. Cursor control of the paddle bat is a bit awkward.
I played the demo for an hour. If you like this sort of game this is one of the better ones.
Only played the demo of this game. Introduction good with VO the text. Storyline pretty simple - save your mother from a mad film director. Graphics and music good. HOS not cluttered, well drawn with the objects relatively easy to find (some of the smaller objects required a couple of clicks). Not too many either. The usual mini-games (rotate tiles, pattern matching etc) not too challenging. You needed to find a lot of objects to use later - the advent of the red sneakers so you can zap back and forth on your map a good idea (once you found them). Map also useful to show areas with tasks still to complete. Journal entries are good and useful - especially the instructions on the film developing. There are unlimited hints but the button fills slowly. The tutorial at the beginning was useful.
I enjoyed the demo but this is just a run of the mill HOS game. Not enough to hold my attention longer - so I won't be buying this one. For that reason I'm not recommending this one - too many far better HOS games to choose from.

This is definitely a kids game. Very colourful, music needs to be turned down (loud, very fast, really annoying). Basically you have an old school Donky Kong type game where a chicken faces obstacles to collect eggs. Too boring for me - gave up after 15 minutes.
I have given it 3 stars only as a childs game. Again, I have only recommended it for children.
Now this is more like it Big Fish Games. Played the demo for the full hour - totally engrossing. Twist on a detective story in that you go back in time to find conspirators to a murder. Graphics are stunning - beautifully drawn. Background music is understated (which is good). Excellent introduction to set the scene - tutorial excellent. If you like HOS you won't be disappointed - plenty of them, not too difficult. A reasonable number of mini-games - rotate discs, find keys, unlock cases etc. that range from very easy to a little more challenging. You need to look for amulet pieces as you progress. Great journal - beautifully illustrated. Tasks are at hand through the task button. Plenty of hints - with the hint button filling reasonably fast.
I really liked this game - don't know how much of the story to go (a game completion percentage would be useful)
Tried the demo for 30 minutes. This is just a straight forward HOG in the guise of I Spy. The over enthusiastic child-like voice telling you when you found items was quite annoying after a while. I turned the sound down. No background music, visually it looked nice but no real variety in the games - just finding objects and solving fairly simple riddles.
