I enjoyed the graphics: glitzy, like a high gloss magazine. They were clear, crisp, and clean. The soundtrack was excellent, piano music that turned into orchestral music. It was beautifully done and appropriate for this game. Voiceovers were well done. There was an eerie and spooky quality to some of the soundtrack.
The storyline was great. There is a powerplay between the heroine's husband and father. Her father ends up dead. Husband goes to prison for ten years. There is another man waiting in the wings for her. She marries him. Now, ten years later, husband number one is released from prison. High drama and terror ensue.
The hidden object scenes are well done. There is no interactivity, just straight point and click on the objects in the list. The mini puzzles were a lot of fun. There is no reset button but there is a skip button.
There is a journal that I never used. It just repeats the story.
There are no collectibles or achievements but you collect photo pieces, marbles, tiles, and pieces of sheet music to use in the mini games.

The graphics are beautifully done in this game with panoramic views and great special effects. The soundtrack is excellent, the music is haunting, the loud noises designed to scare the players. Voiceovers are excellent also, clear, crisp, easy to understand.
The storyline is interesting: good versus evil with your family member immersed in the battle. It was a little too slow moving for me. Nathan, a man your father's friend did not trust was being sworn into the secret order. Nathan steals a mask to give himself power beyond belief and now it is your father's and your job to save the world from him.
The hidden object games were standard, with some of the items being really tiny but you can opt to play mah jongg instead. The mini puzzles are a lot of fun, some of them very challenging. There is not reset button but there is a skip button.
The player gets a journal with objectives, notes, and a map to assist in gameplay.

This game has a great sound track, great music, and great voiceovers. The graphics and special effects are beautiful and very detailed.
The storyline is interesting and intriguing. Your niece's fiancee disappears while they are in the woods. There is a bright pink light that coincides with his disappearance. She calls you to help her. On your way there (by train) the train crashes. When you finally arrive you realize that there have been many disappearances in that area and it appears that there is a sinister and scary over abundance of crows.
The hidden object games are challenging and fun, some of them shadow pictures, some interactive, all engaging. The mini puzzles are challenging and fun and the directions are clear and easy to understand. There is a skip button and reset button.
You get a journal, a strategy guide, a map, and an ancient amulet to assist you.
There are lots of collectibles and achievements. There are 33 squirrels to collect, 9 statuettes, puzzle parts, and something to keep you busy every minute.
This game is a lot of bang for the buck, well worth the CE price.

The visuals are very well done. Clear, clean, crisp graphics with lots of special effects. The soundtrack begins eerie and creepy, the voice overs are great, especially the screams. Part of the soundtrack is sing-song harp music during some of the places you visit through the portal.
There are creepy, eerie characters throughout although some parts of the game are more fantasyish than dark and eerie.
The storyline is good. The heroine awakens from a dream about her uncle, tries to telephone him and gets no answer so she takes a train to his house. Previously the two of them had been building a time portal.
The hidden object scenes are very well done, most of the interactive. Mini puzzles range from easy to moderately hard.
There is a journal, an interactive map, and an artifact that lights up and assists you. Lots of bells and whistles to make a great game.

The soundtrack for this game is superb, hauntingly beautiful. The voiceovers are very well done. The graphics and visuals are beautiful, amazing.
The storyline is interesting: young women are disappearing all over the countryside, bodies are turning up completely dehydrated. There is a story within a story because there is a plague in addition to the strange disappearances. The Detective is called in to solve the mysteries.
The hidden object scenes are not too easy, not too hard, very entertaining and interactive. The mini puzzles are great. They are all interesting and a lot of fun ranging from easy to moderately hard.
You get an interactive map that is very handy, a journal, and a scent catcher you use to find scents and make perfumes from them.
It is a very interesting multi faceted game. It was an immediate buy for me.

The soundtrack for this game is great, with eerie, haunting music. The voiceovers are very well done.
The graphics and visuals are very sophisticated, each scene creepier and eerier than the next. The avatars are realistic and well done.
The storyline, even though it has been done before, is interesting and intriguing, and very well done. The heroine receives a letter to travel to Italy immediately. She enounters a beast as soon as she gets through the gate to the cathedral and it is all high drama after that.
The hidden object games are fun, clear, crisp, a little challenging. The mini puzzles throughout the game are entertaining, ranging from easy to moderately hard, all thought provoking and fun.
There are 15 messages to find throughout the game. There is a very useful map, and a journal.
It is not a very fast paced game but the eerie music and spooky graphics make it very engaging just the same and keep the player involved and entertained.
The ghosts, beasts, creepy characters, scary sculptures and statues, hideous paintings, and eerie music added to all the bells and whistles that make this a great dark and eerie hidden object adventure game.
You came to the town of Brownville, Louisiana hoping to find a new job. But you weren't expecting to stumble upon a strange adventure in a world filled with beauty and danger!

The graphics started out lackluster in the beginning then became more brilliant as the game progressed. The sound track was boring and low key. The voice overs were very good.
The storyline was interesting. The player takes a bus to get a job from an old friend during the depression, meets his friend's strange boss, and is hoodwinked into playing a card game, where he becomes trapped in the ultimate game of survival.
The hidden object scenes are not bad, junkpiles with some interactivity. The mini games were pretty interesting.
There is a cute fuzzy purple little helper animal to retrieve things for you.
There are a lot of bells and whistles that could make a good game but this game was just a little too slow moving with too much handholding. It might be a good game for beginners or players who want something light and easy.
I bought it but it's not the most exciting game I've every played, but it's okay.

The graphics are beautiful, unbelievably beautiful with an intro reminiscent of the movie Reign of Fire. They are brilliant, colorful, and bright. The animation is extraordinary. The voiceovers are clear crisp and believable. The soundtrack is excellent with orchestral music in the background.
The storyline is easy to follow, nothing very new, but done in a unique way. It begins with a wedding invitation from your niece. You climb aboard your hot air balloon to travel to the wedding.
There is a map, strategy guide, and journal to assist you. Lots of bells and whistles. Thirty little birds to collect on your journey. There are eagle eye awards for finishing hidden object scenes without a hint and persistence awards for mini puzzles.
Hidden object scenes are very well done and follow the storyline. Mini puzzles range from easy to complicated to very complicated. All of them are fun to play. There is something to keep you busy every minute.

The soundtrack and voice overs are well done. The graphics and visuals also well done. They may seem a little primitive in light of some of the new games that have bells and whistles and lots of things happening at one time but the player is after all stranded on an island. I liked the graphics.
The storyline unfolds slowly, told by one of the survivors of another shipwreck. It is an interesting story.
Hidden object games are relatively easy. They are interactive. I enjoyed them. Mini games range from moderately easy to difficult, especially the mini game with the golden tooth. It drove me crazy but it was a lot of fun.
There is a diary, a map, and my favorite, a little animal helper, this time a parrot that you rescue from a cage in the cave. He can retrieve things for you that you cannot reach.
You collect dubloons in order to make repairs to your ship.
