The soundtrack and voiceovers were okay. The narrative in the beginning was intriguing. The visuals and graphics were excellent. The characters were a mess. Blood thirsty murderer BlueBeard was portrayed as a doddering old man, limping, and muttering under his breath. It was laughable.
There was a folder of postcards instead of a journal, a monocle to detect any mystical activity, a strategy guide, and a map.
Hidden object games were great, mini puzzles were fun, but that wasn't enough to hold my interest and certainly not enough to warrant a CE price. There was really nothing in here.
This train should have stayed at the station.
I don't recommend this game.

The soundtrack has realistic backyard and background noises. There are several instruments that play redundantly throughout, not an orchestra or a symphony, but one instrument at a time, over and over, with the same boring melody.
The graphics are cartoonish which is okay when the comic book looking character Molly Huggins summons the Detective to find her missing fiancee, who has been gone for three days. It seems he has disappeared in a lake, enshrouded by some mysterious pink fog.
The hidden object scenes are interactive, well done. The mini puzzles were moderately easy.
The player gets a journal, a map, and a spectral fluid collector to collect the pink fog so it doesn't burn you or freeze you.
There was a terrible lag between scenes and the game moved painfully slow. I couldn't delete it fast enough.
I recommend this game!

The soundtrack, narrations, and voice overs were great. The background movie provided an eerie spookiness and the voices were clear, crisp, and understandable.
The graphics were good, a little cartoonish, but that only enhanced the game play of being underwater in an Atlantis type environment and able to use a dream machine to make your wildest fantasies come true.
The story line was very interesting. Twenty five years the main character was abandoned by her mother and today she receives a message to meet her at the underwater resort for the rich and famous. Once she is at the resort things take a turn for the worse when she does not immediately locate her and the people she does encounter seem strange at best.
The hidden object scenes are regular list type and picture type, both fun and moderately easy. Mini-puzzles were a lot of fun.
There is a map but no journal so if you are given any numerical clues you better jot them down because you will never find them again unless you restart the game.
As a SE this game is right on the money and well worth the SE price.
I recommend this game!

During the demo period I played 8 hidden object games so if you don't like H.O.s this is not for you. You have to play them to get objects you need for the adventure. They ranged from moderately easy to very challenging.
Mini games were thought provoking, sometimes difficult, always fun.
The storyline is good, nothing original, but done in a different way: A mysterious stranger breaks into a museum, steals some artifacts, a dark cloud menaces the civilian population, causing them to turn into sinners. You as the detective are called in to stop the madness.
The soundtrack is great, narration in the beginning very good, voice overs clear, crisp, and realistic.
The graphics are okay, sometimes a little one dimensional and simplistic, but that did not detract from gameplay.
There is a map, a journal, a strategy guide, and a ghost catcher (to help you eliminate the many ghosts and spirits in the town).
You get points for finding certain objects from certain categories. There are achievements you earn for not skipping mini puzzles and for not using hints in the hidden object scenes.
This was a must buy for me. It has everything and really keeps you busy.
I recommend this game!

The creep factor in this game was over one hundred percent, just the way I like it, with people turned to stone, a very creepy little child roaming the mansion, stuffed and mounted animals and fish that come to life and need to be killed again.
The music was eerie and creepy throughout the demo, sometimes very unnerving, just the way I like it.
Graphics were great. It doesn't get any creepier than these graphics and photographs.
Hidden objects and mini puzzles (and there were plenty of them) were challenging, fun, entertaining and engaging.
If you are a fan of eerie, dark, and creepy this one's for you.
I recommend this game!

This game has everything. The Voiceovers are well done. The soundtrack is extraordinary, beautifully orchestrated, professionally done. The visuals are beautiful and detailed, using brilliant colors where appropriate and muted colors when needed.
The game begins with the brother in law asking the player to visit him and the player's sister, Margaret, who just happens to be dead.
The hidden object scenes are moderately easy, as are the fun and entertaining mini puzzles. The player can opt to do a regular puzzle instead of a hidden object scene.
There is a map, a journal, and a strategy guide.
Achievements include completing a mini game in less than one minute, completing 3 mini games in a row without skipping, completing a hidden object scene without a hint, and completing 3 hidden object games without a hint.
This hidden object adventure is the real deal: entertaining, fast paced and a lot of fun.
I recommend this game!

If you are going to create a game based on Native American lore and mysticism at least make the characters look and sound like they are Native American. These characters did not even come close.
The graphics were very well done, the scenery and background were beautiful, visually compelling, and very well done.
The soundtrack was great for the first 20 minutes with Native American music, the howling wolf, and drum beats, but after 20 minutes the same old flute melody got ridiculously boring. The voiceovers were laughable. The first character sounded like a street punk, and so did the warrior that was supposed to be so strong and threatening.
The hidden object games were excellent and the player had a choice of completing them or completing a bubble shooter game that was a lot of fun. Mini games were fun, some of them pretty challenging, all of them very interesting.
There were sun rune collectibles in each scene that added to gameplay. Achievements included completing mini puzzles in less than a minute and completing hidden object scenes without using a hint.
It was an okay game but if more attention had been paid to making the characters believable as Native Americans it would have been a great game. I couldn't get past that so it is a no buy for me but otherwise it was a fun game, if not a little slow moving at times.
I recommend this game!

The storyline of this game starts with your ancestor having scorned Wenonah, the Spirit of Cold. Just like you shouldn't fool with Mother Nature, you certainly shouldn't fool with a Spirit that can throw your whole world into a deep freeze.
The graphics and visuals are great. Soundtrack and voice overs are very good.
Mini puzzles and hidden object games range from relatively easy to moderately difficult.
The SE is as equally good as the CE. In fact this seems to be the better buy.
I recommend this game!

The creep factor in this game is off the chart. It is dark, eerie, creepy, gory, gross, just the way I like it.
The storyline is a little back and forth and all over the place, but the hidden object scenes and the mini puzzles are great, some of them in the BB category. I had to skip one of them. The special effects in this game, the howling wolf, the creepy music, the demonic little boy with a haunting story, the beautiful graphics, and the mother searching for her child, made it a buy for me.
This game is not for the faint hearted. There is a slaughter of a beautiful pet by a hideous demon, there are bugs in the hidden object games, and there were ants crawling around the castle for no reason that was obvious to me.
It starts out slow and boring but after a few minutes it is addictive.
I recommend this game!

The graphics were okay, they were of the cartoon/comic book genre where they were exaggerations of the people they were supposed to represent. The soundtrack and music were appropriate for a dark and really creepy, most of the time gross, game. The characters were nightmarish, not in a dark way but in a gross ugly way.
The Detective is called upon to find a woman's husband. After that the storyline is kind of discombobulated, was the Detective a victim of the mad doctor, or is he actually operating on his own to save the woman's husband and others who have fallen under the influence of the evil doctor?
There is one scene in the beginning where the Detective must get past a sleeping nurse so his plan is to give her coffee with a sleeping pill in it? She's already so deep asleep that the detective has taken keys out of her pocket. It was just a little disconcerting. The rest of the action takes place in a speedy manner, with something to do every minute: mini puzzles, 3 different types of hidden object games, and an impressive 5 part labyrinth.
If you don't mind gratuitous grossness, things like a kitchen sink filled with dirty dishes, and characters who will give you nightmares, this one's for you.
I recommend this game!
