The icons in this M3 are jigsaw puzzle pieces that you need to rotate so they fit together to make the M3 or longer strings. While the timer is very generous, I found this process tedious, and your ability to make longer than 3 icon strings is inhibited by the game itself. It wants to burst your string before you have all the same colors connected, which leaves single icons 'stranded'. You need to use your power ups to clear these. There are 8 different power-ups available throughout the game, and you need them all. The graphics are clear, the storyline consistent and the Mayan music fits well. Hint: collect the jeweled ion groups first. If you like this kind of M3, then this game is for you, but there are so many others I would choose first.
This M3 is based on moving rows and columns, instead of matching groups or swapping tiles. Challenges are added by frozen stones, frozen icons, 4-tile icons (unique to this game!), and different board configurations. You may choose the timed or untimed mode, but know that the timed mode is a bit aggressive. You need to gather your gold coins to buy your power-ups, and use them if time is running out. You can replay a level if you run out of time. The icons are bright and colorful, and new icons are added as the levels progress, keeping the game fresh, and the graphics are vivid. In between games you are brought back to the storyline, and have a mini-game at the end of each level. The only disadvantage is that you have to wait for all icons to fall into place before being able to make another move, but it is fast. Hint: make as many matches as possible with the multiple-point icons to earn more gold coins. Enjoy Treasures of the Ancient Cavern!
This M3 offers a storyline, which it follows at each level. You can choose relaxed or timed modes, the music is a nice mystic soundtrack, but the match sound doesn't follow the storyline - it's too bland. They took the time to give the Druids an Irish/English accent, but the match sound is very dull. The board shapes change at each game, power-ups are introduced early, and you have plenty of opportunity to capture them. Locked cells are also introduced early, and chains appear at will making it more challenging! There are numerous types of power-ups, and as you progress, the goals of each level become multiple: get the power-ups to the bottom of the board, clear all blocks and chains, and match the required number of each color. I love having quotas! The icons drop straight down, so match aligning is predictable. Hint: matching 4 or more in a row adds time to your clock in the timed mode. There are also hidden object challenges added for more variety. A fun M3!
This M3 is so bright and colorful! While the levels of difficultly are not so difficult, it does take some strategy to succeed. There are a lot of different icons on the board so trying to get those lined up that you need, can be a challenge! Also, the icons don't cascade down in a straight line, so it's unpredictable. The talking heads on the side also add fun to this really cute game. It's a great M3 for just having fun!
I got through level 15 of 110 on the trial, and found this game to be a very fun, swap-style M3. The music is mystic, the color and graphics and vivid and bright! The game boards change shape as you progress, making matching more challenging, as well as numerous blocks being placed on specific cells. Up to level 15 the storyline doesn't weave into the game - it's just M3 boards. By matching different icons they charge up your 'mana' (power-ups) in four different categories that allow you to smash groups of cells in different configurations. You can play timed or relaxed. The only drawback I see in this game is that, in the timed mode, there is no timer displayed, but you do get a 30 second warning screen, which allows you plenty of time to use your power-ups in the 'tough' areas. Hint: use your power-ups in the difficult areas as soon as they are charged, and they begin re-charging right away. All in all, a fun and colorful M3!
This game operates on the same premise as 'Fairies', where you move the rows and columns to make matches, with the exception that eggs freeze, and columns and rows lock the longer you are in play, making it nearly impossible to make ANY matches. You have to match a certain number of each colored egg, which are gauged along the bottom in very tiny gauges that are hard to see and hard to determine the color. The timer is completely unless it is running low, and then a flashing arrow appears over it. There is a mini-game at the completion of each village along your route that adds some variety.
When I first started playing this one-on-one combat M3, I was shocked at the brutality of it, and even winced each time my character was attached, but the more I played the more competitive I became against the monsters, and learned the value of my winnings to upgrade my 'combat outfit'. The game will tell you when you should upgrade your gear, but if you lose against the monster...GO SHOPPING! Fun and addictive!
While this M3 is the traditional click and swap, it's not possible to measure how you are doing in each round, as the squares you've turned get 'emptied' when the water drains out, so you start all over again. You just keep swapping until the screen tells you that you've won. I played the timed mode, but didn't see a timer, the power ups don't work, and I have no idea what the purpose of this game is.
The function of this M3 is very different than any other. You can move the 'jar' with the fairy in both vertical and horizontal directions to make the match, which can be in a row, L-shaped, or odd shaped. The colors are so vivid and the music is very soothing. I found the timer short, but I also had difficulty 'seeing' the matches in this unusual game as each level changed, but once I made a couple, they all became clear. I enjoyed it more in the Classic Mode.
This M3 has the traditional swap M3, but also switches some levels to 2-icon click, making for greater fun! The mini games are a nice variation, but I still can't 'catch' any of the falling items! The bombs and dynamite offer small explosions. The colors are bright and icons cute! I enjoy the building in between as a small rest from game play. The timer is very generous, so some may find it less challenging, but it's great fun!
