As i loved the first Pahelika i made the very bad choice to buy this sequel without doing the demo first. From the beginning i was disappointed as they reused scenes from the original and didnt seem to follow any logical order for the storyline. When the storyline lost me the game lost me, to the point i could not finish it. I loved the challenge of the first game and like the no hint schematic, but the story has to be worth the effort. Sorry, but no-go on this game.

A very nice game, though it was a little short, but not exceedingly so. If you like your hand held with hints and explanations this is not for you. If you like to figure things out for yourself it is worth the price. This is not a HOG as someone previous to me wrote. You gather objects and figure out how to use them to complete each area. These objects are not identified in your inventory, you need to figure out what they are and do by interacting them within the inventory or the area you are in. Some are easy and simple , others are not. I highly recommend this game for those who like a challenge.

At first i enjoyed the game, unfortunately that enjoyment didnot disappear Before the hour demo was up. Soon after the demo hour i realized how annoying the main character was and therefore the storyline itself. The ending did nothing to change that feeling either. The HO were ok, and it was a long game by many standards, but the main character got so bad i could barely finish it. Scriptlines and storylines were Horrible for anyone but a child.

I love games that offer a challenge and this one did at the beginning. No instructions but once you figure out the setup of how they do things it was actually quite easy. Hints will not hold your hand step by step but will provide direction. If you have visited all the windows in an area and then hit the hint without being in the place you need a hint (yes i know crazy but was fun)it actually gave you the hint you needed. Such as *goto portal something is there*, it became very simple, bascily find one object use it get another then goto spot to use it, get another, etc. Have patience and just think thru the logic of it, its really quite easy and i did enjoy it. If u need the game to tell you each step to make this is not for you, but if you want to figure on your own, go for it. Great game 4 stars cause not long enough.

Check out the reviews for 1 and 3 stars i agree with them. Story line could have been good but very bad acting, and provided you with not only major hints but they just downright told you what to do (donot read the journal if u want to try by yourself). After a cutscene items were placed into my inventory with no explaination or letting ME try to find them or figure out i Needed it. They just gave me exactly the knife i needed and boom puzzle solved. Ending caused me to believe this was a pure waste of money.

A nice easygoing game, highly recommend if u dont want judgements for wrong answers or too many clicks. Puzzles are challenging though. There are no instructions or "correct" hints provided and u cannot skip the minigames. Not being able to skip was the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. Developers need to understand not all people can solve every type of puzzle or do arcade because of certain "handicaps" they may have (ie colorblindness, coordination) therefore they failed in the one thing they tried to get rid of in their game.. stress. Dont get me wrong i loved this game, highly enjoyable if u want something out of the ordinary.

Yes it had great artwork, the storyline was good, the level of control you can adjust the game to was nice to see.... BUT No variety in the puzzles!! the same two throughout the WHOLE game. "connect the dots useing the required colors from one end to the other OR match the item to the picture. What happened to the wonderful variety from the previous two games from this series? This would have been such an awesome game if the developers hadnot gotten lazy about the puzzle content. Dont know if i will continue with the series, and that makes me sad.

This was the first of the series i had tried... and cant say enough about how good the graphics and storyline both were! The puzzles were just challenging enough and a nice variety. I highly enjoyed it and recommend this and the previous game of the series Briar Rose.

I enjoyed this game very much. As previous reviewer stated, nice video, and puzzle variety. Would highly recommend you get the first one of the series and play that first as, I believe, it makes for a much more interesting storyline to follow though its not required to do so to play this second game.
