If you like magic, making potions and have a love of HOGs then this is a nice little game. Its very simple, thus giving you a relaxing atmosphere and not very much challenge to minigames. So it's not a buy if you want mindrending minigames. Storyline very linear, but its all about the magic anyway. Like i said, its cute, nothing special.
I recommend this game!

Dont let the cartoon graphics fool you, this is not for the younger players, i.e. a family game for your grandkids. It is a frightening story actually and the ending is quite distrubing, while leaving it up in the air for the sequel. You will find no solution in this first game of a set. On the other hand, the story drags you in and captures you, making you want more and more. It is not a long game by any means, in fact a little too short for my tastes, but still worth the club purchase price. Frequent HO, where some items are extremely small and hidden in darker places. The puzzles, not hard at all, and quickly done. But in the end its not the puzzles that enthrall you, it's the story. I will purchase the sequal, but a little leary of just how "frightening" it will be.

Quirky sense of humor for storyline and cutscenes. Nice entertaining casual game. Minipuzzles not hard, so if you're looking for mindnumbing grind to puzzles this ones not for you. It's a crazy, fun relaxing story and game if you just want an easy play with nice storyline.

i really did enjoy this game. its one of the better ones out there right now. Nice storyline, minis challenging, tho a bit repetative style (i.e. put all same color in specific pattern) the game look was different. Unfortunately the thing that prevented 5 stars was the ending for the regular game. It was very disappointing not to have any conclusion to the story and to make us pay $14 for the collectors additon to find out was hitting below the belt. No more money for this developer. I can live without the ending. So if you can spend the money for the CE go for it, its a good game, if you can live without an ending then just get the regular game, it definitly is worth the 6.99.

Only 4 stars cause it wasnt long enough, but still a very nice game. The storyline was just ok, but the graphics are good and is a well crafted game imo. Has replay ability of limited interest but its so well done it will draw you back frequently.

Had to give it one star so I could write review. cons: dialog annoying 800x600 graphics characters only moved by flag drag placement storyline poor screen movement (due to dragflag) slow and annoying
I tired to find out when this game was released, if it was 2000 then its an ok game for its time, if it was released after 2001 its a horrible game. not even worth the 2.99 special.
I love games of this genre, and am so glad i played the demo first. I will look for something else.

If you are looking for easy and relaxing and puzzles not too challenging then this is the game for you. I did find the voiceovers quite poorly done, but the graphics are nice. The only thing that totally annoyed me was that when you did all you could for an area, but it was not fully cleared, a window popped up and told you to goto the map and prevented any further exploration. I do not like to be "pushed" from one area to another at the games choice, let me make up my own mind. Otherwise it would be a nice buy at 2.99

But thats a personal preference, so others may not care. I didnt have problems with graphics they were ok. Story was very long by many standards so you do get your moneys worth for that. I never played the previous games but have no desire to do so just because, over all, i really tired of this game by the end and was just skipping thru mini's just to get on with it. Ending was not very satisfying. 2 stars cause I personally just didnt like the game, but i will recommend it for those who like blood and gore, decent storyline and long game length.

I enjoyed the cartoon atmosphere and found the humor of the cut scenes amusing, tho anyone under 18 may not like it so much as the references are of a different generation. All in all the graphics, music and voice acting were good. Some things in the HO's didnt corrolate to the description you were looking for (i.e.dashboard hula girl as protective equipment, but ah there's that humor again) so remember to think outside the box :) and you will have to hit the hint button more than you may have in the past. Also read the Help before playng, minipuzzle hints work different than you may think. 3 stars as i do recommend this game for those who would like something a little different, its not great, but it is different.

I started with the second game of this series first and it was very interesting, tho i did not finish it yet, as i thought to try out the orginal game first. As others have stated before me (checkout the 2 and3 stars as i do if u really want to get a balanced perspective of any game) the graphics are very grainy and the mood music, tho very nice if you want to meditate, is bothersome for playing a game. But, ironicly i quite enjoyed the storyline. And that is what kept me going, the desire to find out what happens next and therefore the three stars. Try to purchase this for the 2.99 special or buy one get one free as i did, it would then be a very nice game to have.
