Nice game with familiar storyline. Characters are well drawn with good lip sync. HOS/HOP are interactive with the usual small objects in a messy scene while the puzzles are a little more original than usual.
Didn't see any morphing objectscollectibles. I usually don't look for them & only find them accidently. Did find one of the alphabet letters that way.
Music wasn't too terrible. I turned it down & it was nonintrusive.
Scenes need to be drawn cleaner/crisper as they seemed to be a bit blurry for these old eyes.
As usual I use the custom setting too have short hint/skip refill times which helps move the game along.
At least there are no witches, ghosts, goblins, spirits & evil destroyers of the universe. etc. etc. I just skip over these games & look for murder mysteries.
The demo was not boring to me & I thought the game play moved along quite nicely, for a change.
I recommend this game!

Black Viper: Sophia's Fate
Cop by day, formidable thief by night: Sophia, aka Black Viper, is a young woman leading a double life.
I had such high hopes for this game but alas my hopes were dashed as I played this DREADFUL game.
Graphics were dark & murky without any redeeming factors.
HOS: Another insistence where having the eyes of an eagle would not help. Some of the items were just plain miniscule & only could be found with the hint button.
Only saw one puzzle. It was OK, not anything special.
VO sounded like the actors were trying too hard with a lot of corn . The written dialog did not always match what was being said.
The Hint button...oh my where do I start? For a short while I was moving along quite nicely then all of a sudden I was just going in circles. It was like the button forgot what its job was!!!
I have a laptop so I don't have a mouse & couldn't zoom in or out. Though I don't think it would improve the game as it is just soooooooooooo BAD!
I found this game corny to the nth degree & completely lacking in fun or intrigue.
I don't recommend this game.

Mystery of Neuschwanstein
Accompany Sarah and Professor Adler through the stunning rooms, halls and cellars of the historical castle of Neuschwanstein!
I played 45 min of the demo & was on my 2 retry of the 9th level when I threw in the towel & called it quits. I found it was just TOO, TOO boring & NOT in the least bit challenging.
Graphics are cheesy at best & the music is noxious.
My best advice is: Try Before You Buy. You just may like it.
Similar storyline, again, involving a reporter chasing after a story. The person to be interviewed is, of course, in some sort of trouble. Instead of just disappearing she gets kidnapped, the reporter is assaulted the demo ends and it is hoped that this is enough of a teaser for you to buy the game to see how it all turns out.
Graphics are bright/colorful & characters are more lifelike for a change. The murky/muddy/dark blue graphics & cartoon characters should be outlawed.
The VO are ok though some of the accents are questionable.
HOS/Puzzles are interactive & better & more engaging than usual fare we get.
The hint screen is also a jump map at times.
Only after I read other reviews did I realize that there were number/paint tube collectibles. Guess I just need to pay better attention! Found one morphing object only because I was clicking around the HOS. I noticed the unicorn/cat (next to the hint button) going from one to the other but didn't know what it meant. Again, I only found out by reading a review, that it meant something was morphing in the HOS.
I felt the storyline was a little plodding with some illogical actions, as others pointed out, but the sheep scene was oh SO cute!
Boring, tedious, does not grab your attention. There is absolutely nothing that makes me even want to consider buying the game, it is that dreadful!
Rehashed storyline of ghosts collecting people for some obscure past faults of the people. Big Yawn.......
VO & music ok. HOS somewhat interactive. Puzzles actually weren't too bad. Never did see any collectibles but that is ok as I was too busy trying not to fall asleep. A lot of to & fro between scenes for my taste. Didn't think to check the map. Perhaps it's also a jump map. Never did see the CG except on the menu screen.
English lesson for devs. It's an OAR lock & not a ROW lock. You row the boat using the oars which are situated in the OAR lock.
Try before you buy & see if it's your cup of tea or like me you think it's a real groaner!!
Not a bad game but not a great one either. Graphics are better than usual. The VO's are spot on & I like the VO format that is used. HOS are interactive with various things to spot. The puzzles were ok but the instructions could have been clearer. I turn the music/effects down so they do not become intrusive. The hint button also transports & you can lower the hint/skip time recharge down to 10 seconds. The premise of the story is nothing new & there is the usual going hither & yon to complete tasks. I felt the game was not terribly challenging but would be fun to play if you just wanted to chill for a few hours. My only question is: Why was the doctor wearing a nurses cap?
Took me a minute to get the hang of the game & then it was just repetitious & boring. I guess if your a poker player you just might like this computer game. There are just too many variables & I prefer playing poker with real cards. I guess I'm just a Solitaire kind of girl at heart when it comes to computer card games.
Another rehashed story plot of someone trying to avenge what they perceive is a wrongdoing. This, of course, involves a rundown hotel & shadowy figure. You are called in to sort things out. It would be nice if the devs put a new/different spin on these endless rehashed storylines!!
VO are good though the only characters you see are skeletons & there is no movement involved.
Graphics are usual murky, dark & blue. I know it's a haunted house theme but the colorizations are still not to my taste.
The music is quite annoying. Again, it's a haunted house but there must be some better choices for the background music.
HOS are the usual messy junk piles with some interaction. Puzzles are ok. I did find a couple that I enjoyed.
Hint/Skip buttons can be customized down to 15 seconds, which I consider a bonus. When it's time to move on I want to do it NOW.
The hint button also teleports you to the next scene. This is a nice feature as it cuts down on the to & fro of wandering in the house/garage & on the grounds.
I found some collectibles just by clicking on things that looked out of place. I really did not put any effort into finding them, they just disappeared when I clicked on them.
Journal was helpful. It had some needed items & answers to codes.
I didn't find the story especially creepy or hauntingly ghostly, just more of the same old tired storyline. Story did not engage me or pique my interest. I just wanted to finish the demo as it is SO like so many other games that I have found trite & boring.
I'm only recommending the game as some think it's the "bees knees" & are over the moon about it. Try it for yourself & then decide.
Even though it is a rehashed story about portals & kidnapping with a get even theme It was a nice flowing game. Winter setting was nice but didn't necessarily need to encompass Christmas.
Graphics were bright/colorful & not as muddy/murky as usual.
Characters had nice movement & lip sync. The VO's seemed appropriate.
Liked the HOS/Puzzles for a change as they seemed to have a little different twist about them.
Didn't try the map or pay attention to the achievements.
Skip button worked quickly & the SG was quite helpful.
All in all, a nice little game to while away a few hours without ghosts, ghoulies or vampires.
It might not be as challenging as some would like & I'm not sure it's CE worthy but give the demo a try & decide for yourself.
