What a SILLY game. The scenes in the hospital had me laughing out loud.
Dr Phillips had a nurses cap, which looked more like something a waitress would wear, and RED High Heeled shoes!!! She asked what his "specialization" was. The correct word would be "specialty". Oxygenous??bag. I been an RN since 1966 & have never heard or seen such a thing.
Down & dirty review: rehashed story line, VO ok but lip sync was just plain awful, Lisa looked like she had "vampire" teeth, usual murky graphics, HOS/Puzzles are of the ordinary variety, same with the music, no map which means a LOT of to & fro, & lastly a bouncing inventory which I guess can be locked.
Definitely NOT a 5 Star game. What did they see that the rest of us missed???
Game starts out fine but quickly goes off the rail. Just another lets chase a bad guy through a portal & have all kind of adventures to save a trapped person/child. B O R I N G & done to death.
Characters in the beginning were quite good but rapidly turned cartoonish & too otherworldly for my taste. VO & lip synch was ok.
HOS/Puzzles were quite interesting & interactive, though I did find most of the puzzles quite easy.
Graphics also became blue/pink alternating with dark & murky.
Music was ok & turned down, gives just enough ambience to the game.
Just could not get into the story & felt the game just plodded along.
After a frustrating time getting the correct password I was able to complete the demo. Special thanks to the two fishes who came to my rescue in the forum.
Familiar story with friends being kidnapped & you are off to save them while battling ghosts, evil spirits, etc.
Graphics are slightly better but still have a blue tint.
Characters are the norm with better than usual lip sync.
Found the SG confusing & not helpful. The hint button transports you so I never used the map.
Found some collectibles just by clicking on things that didn't look like they quite belonged.
Was able to customize the Hint/Skip button down to 15 seconds which is very nice.
Didn't care for the music. It seemed a little "jazzy" for my taste & the genre of the game.
While I enjoyed the demo, once I figured things out, I'm not sure if this is going to be a buy for me. As always give the demo a try for yourself.
No verbose account of the storyline from me. I feel that it is not needed. You can just read the description that BFG puts out with the game & look at the screen shots. If I am interested & want to know more I'll play the demo.
This is ANOTHER rehashed storyline about your family going missing due to an evil doer & you have to step up & save the day. Why am I hearing the Mighty Mouse theme playing?
Graphics=HIDEOUS. They are dark, hard to see, muddy, murky with an over abundant amount of pink/blue coloring. How many times to I have to ask someone to buy the devs a new, complete box of crayons?
VO are OK. Music was the usual chorus of non-singing, just a few la la's here & there.
Hint button was good as it also transported you.
Considering my feelings about the game the SKIP button was my favorite feature!!
Map didn't seem terribly useful.
Collectibles were fairly easy to find but not the morphing items. I only found one by PDL. (Pure Dumb Luck#
HOS were interactive with more than just one screen to finish at a time. Not a bad touch.
Puzzles were ok. #see SKIP button above). I especially loath the lock pick variety.
There were also drawings too do which was a nice/different touch without being too difficult or cumbersome.
To all of those who revel in this type of game...ENJOY.
I Beta tested this game awhile back & as Queen Victoria might have said, "We are NOT impressed"!!! This is not the first game by this dev that I have not liked.
Childish fantasy game with rehashed story of bullies attacking a village. B O R I N G
HOS/Puzzles are simple, tedious, boring & there are LOTS of them. I did not find them clever or entertaining.
Same old graphics that were not crisp or sharp & I found the drawings a bit crude.
Never did see any of the collectible fairies which is ok because finding the silly things can become quite distracting.
Hint button ok as it also transported you to the next location. I did like the hint "Hoopee". I named mine Birdie!
Never used the SG as it didn't seem worth the effort.
VO ok except that Caity sounded like a woman trying to sound like a child. There were no mouth movements.
Characters were the usual lifeless wooden ones.
Music was more of the usual.
Can't we please just have some original stories with great graphics & characterizations????
A fire breaks out during a concert, and now your daughters are both missing. Hurry to track them down – their music may hold the key to life and death!
The devs have suspended reality with this storyline.
Your children are playing in a concert & the stage starts on fire. Instead of trying to save the children, the audience runs out of the building...huh!
Why weren't the police/fire dept called immediately???
Graphics are ok. Your character does not speak but everyone else does. Characters look a little cartoonish but have some mouth & body movements. The music was ok. I turn it down so that it is not intrusive.
Didn't try the map. The hint/skip buttons fill s l o w l y. HOS/Puzzles were interesting/interactive but not terribly challenging.
Game plodded along & I didn't find it to be a terribly engaging game.
Give the demo a try & decide what you think about the game.
Not a bad game. Storyline good but not a new concept. Graphics were better than usual. VO hit the mark but no mouth movement. I turned the music down so it didn't become intrusive. HOS were the usual, very messy junk piles with some interaction. Puzzles were just ok and some of the instructions could have been clearer. Didn't try the jig saw puzzle as I only do them when I can actually feel the puzzle pieces. Tried the map once & it seemed like it would be an ok feature. Lots of morphing & other things to collect.
Still waiting for the devs to come up with some over the top games. Most of games we've been getting are the usual, rehashed storylines. Come on devs, put on you CREATIVE thinking caps!!!
Even though this is a rehashed storyline it is a VERY strange game & a definite try before you buy. It won't be to everyone's liking. I know I am still on the fence.
Daughter kidnapped by evil entity & taken to another world via an enchanted mirror. You have to follow her through this & many other mirrors to try & save her.
Graphics go between nothing special & oh my gosh kiddie cartoon time.
Whoever drew the daughter, Jessica, needs to go back to art school. She was just plain, mud ugly.
VO, when they do happen, are okay.
Music on the other hand is either annoying or boring.
Hint/Skip buttons fill quickly. Non-intrusive gargoyle sits atop hint button. Unfortunately you do not get to name it!!!!
HOS are interactive & along with the puzzles are, mostly, quite entertaining.
You are going to have to try the demo & find out for yourself if this strange, quirky game is on your buy list.
