Okay, so the amazing music at the beginning of the game is what prompted me to install it. For me, great music while playing a Match 3 game is a must. But, my happiness was quickly dashed when I found myself listening to tinny, twangy noise instead. Had to turn off the so-called music.
I chose to watch a tutorial but I didn't get one. Quick notes would pop up and then quickly disappear. What's with that??? Trying to solve the clues to the mystery was aggravating. I would have to keep playing and collecting things just to get a possible answer to a clue.
When playing the Match 3 portion, I had to finally give up. When I hovered over the various powerup icons, nothing popped up to tell me what they do. The worst thing was trying to actually match 3 elements, which was infuriating and wasted time. I couldn't get the elements to swap unless I clicked on one and then stopped to click on the one I wanted to swap. There was NO sliding/swapping ability, so the simple act of swapping ran down my timer.
Bottom line, this is a clunky game with terrible mechanics, worse music and no effective tutorial if you need one. Hidden object scenes are simple and solving the "case" is aggravating.
If you have never played one of these games in the Jewel Match series, then you could be blown away by Solitaire X. However, for those of us who have faithfully supported this developer, I for one, am done!
Years ago, I actually contacted the developer and asked him why we couldn't redecorate rooms INSIDE the castle? You know, something other than building them. Or maybe we could build towns or something. Alas, it seems he loves castles and has a one track mind.
I also asked if the mahjongg tiles could be more 3D and prettier to look at. After all, if the background graphics in the rest of this game are beautiful, why couldn't he improve the basic, boring mahjongg tiles?? Unfortunately, he wasn't having that either. Needless to say, I don't bother with the "bonus" mahjongg because there are better mahjongg games elsewhere.
Solitaire X gives us the same music as all the previous games along with the same option to play more and more different kinds of solitaire. Maybe mini games OTHER THAN solitaire would be a nice change of pace. Nope, probably not.
It's time for something different. If I want to rebuild castles and play solitaire with the same obstacles and same powerups, I'll reinstall an older game in this series.
Basic, simple graphics that are not too appealing to look at while playing this type of game. For me, the tiles were too small and the background was distracting. This is clearly an android game posing as a PC game. It's definitely not worth the money BF is asking for it.
So if you have never played one of these Vacation Paradise games, and you want a strictly hidden object game, then you would probably find this one rather relaxing and possibly entertaining. However, this newest location of France plays exactly the same as the previous games in this series.
It would be nice if there were some mini games to distract you from the constant hidden object searching. Most vital to these games would be a zoom feature. After all, not everyone has super large screens or perfect vision.
A change up of music would be a welcome bonus as well. Why not throw in a peppy jazz number or dance tune? Not everyone wants to take a nap in the middle of playing a game, LOL.
Oddly enough, I'm going to recommend the game because I think it would be perfectly fine for those who simply want to find hidden objects. There aren't too many of those types of games out there, so this one would be perfect for those folks.
This actually wouldn't be a bad game if the items were realistic and not cartoony and poorly hand drawn. I'm no artist but I could definitely do better than what's been attempted here.
This is definitely a cellphone game for kids, and that's where it belongs. Trying to pass it off as anything else is just wrong.
Okay, enough is enough. Yes, they seem to have added new items for us to match, but they have absolutely NOTHING to do with camping!
The mini games are the exact same type as the previous fourteen versions of the game. Isn't anyone at "Developer Camp" capable of coming up with something new?
And for heaven's sake, can't they change up the music?? I could swear I heard Christmas music at one point.
I was really hoping this newest version of Shopping Clutter would be fresh and innovative, but it's the same old thing and doesn't deserve more than a one star rating!

I enjoyed my hour of free game play. Graphics were quite clear and brilliant. So many things to find including three morphing objects and sixteen playful cats in each scene. I liked that I could keep track of the the cats and morphing objects so that I didn't miss any. Only wish we could get a hint on those two things.
Finding the differences and swapping puzzle pieces mini games were a nice distraction from the hidden objects. My only complaint is the monotonous music. It's a nice, soothing piece that loops over and over and becomes rather tiresome. Adding a few more songs to the mix would be nice. I ended up turning off the music but kept the ambient sounds.
All in all, a nice little game to take your mind off the turmoil in our world right now.

I honestly thought the developers would take some of the previous criticism regarding their Cooking Trip series to heart, but it appears they don't care.
Except for the new Back on the Road graphics interface, this rendition of Cooking Trip looks and plays exactly the same as the previous ones. There are no new achievements and the amount of coins rewarded is low, considering all the confusion that surrounds you as you play the game.
My biggest gripe has always been that there is no "Easy" mode for beginners or for those who get too frustrated with the extremely fast & hectic pace of the game. I can keep replaying levels but I don't get extra coins for doing that, so what's the point? Also, the upgrades are expensive which doesn't help.
This Collector's Edition, as with the last one, offers a strategy guide which is basically useless. It tells you to buy certain upgrades in order to beat levels but most of the time I couldn't afford to do that.
If you like point-and-click TM games, then you should try this one because these types of games are becoming extinct. However, I just can't recommend it.
If you have never played one of these Walker family clutter games before, then you will probably enjoy this newest installment in the series.
However, the items to match are the exact same ones from the previous Shopping Clutter game, with a few new ones added to the mix. Couldn't they come up with some different images that actually have something to do with Thanksgiving? Leads me to believe the developers don't understand what the American Thanksgiving holiday is all about.
Moving on, the music is exactly the same as the previous game, and the achievements and mini games are the same type as well. The only aspect that's different is the Thanksgiving title with some turkeys thrown in.

As always with these games there's a lot of dialogue. But the story is cute and engaging and who doesn't love a mystery? So I stuck with it.
This game is described as having gorgeous lush scenes but in reality, the entire game is in cartoon-like form. I realize it's all about sales -- but for those of us who actually read the descriptions of games, it's a let-down.
I liked that the story line is different from those we've seen. But I found the extra mini games within each level to be tedious and sometimes quite difficult to complete within the allotted time. When I pick up an item to give to a customer, I want to give it to them and move on quickly. I don't want to stop and waste my time to complete an extra silly task. I lose stars in the process.
You can skip the lengthy dialogue; but if you want to see how the story plays out, you'll need to put up with a lot of stopping and reading. All in all, it's not a bad game, but it's not a perfect five star game.
