I loved the puzzles, but for a senior whose fingers are not as quick to click, it would be nice to have an untimed option. I have a feeling that once the puzzles become more intricate and complicated that I would be unable to finish in the allotted time, making it impossible to complete the game.
I loved Northern Tale - and the sequel, Northern Tale 2 is just as great. Unfortunately, the evil witch, Gesta is also back and threatening to wipe the Vikings off the face of the earth while you try to rebuild after the kingdom. (You just can't keep an evil witch down!)
Game can be played in either a time management mode - or untimed (especially great for those of us who are a little slower on the mouse click)
I will buy this as soon as I get up as it is waaaaay past my bedtime.
Northern Tale is a game to play over and over; I expect NT2 to also be just as replayable.

Based on 7 minutes of the demo. This is HOS after HOS. Dialog does not make sense. This game might have been OK - if it was 1997. Scenes are extremely flat - like the Sunday funnies in your local newspaper.

I played 7 minutes of the trial. I love match 3's, but this one did not impress me. The objective for each game is different from the game before and are not well defined. I kept getting lots of bombs and spent most of my time exploding those instead of making matches.

Based on 24 minutes of trial.
Story begins with you as a detective investigating a missing person report. The only thing left is a stone hand sticking out of the ground holding a ruby pendant. You use gloves to pick it up.
Later when it starts to glow, you pick it up with your bare hand - dumb move!! You wake up in a dungeon, hardly a surprise.
Typical junk pile HOS - you revisit some of the HOS. Items found are used within a room or two.
Characters you meet are very talkative. You have to get something for the character to get something from them - then they disappear.
Mini-games are average - nothing special. I skipped to save time while playing the demo.
I just could not really care whether the detective ever gets back to reality.

Based on 44 minutes of demo time:
Interesting story line - has characters you care about and want to help. Interesting fantasy world you step into, not at all creepy, but there is an evil fog you must defeat somewhere along the line.
HO scenes so far:
1 find 10 turtles and snails type - then you use them in a puzzle and one fragmented -find all the pieces and then use the constructed item
More of an adventure game - solve a puzzle to get a tool
Has a map so you can hop to places you have already visited, but map has a recharge time between uses
Interesting "Help" character - he weaves the story as you go
Deep in the heart of an enchanted forest, a forbidden love blooms. Guide the human Eveline as she sets out to rescue her beloved from the clutches of a tyrant.
