I have all the Lauraville series, and enjoyed every one, so far! I didn't believe it could be as bad the reviewers said. I could not even get through the 60 minute try before you buy time. I deleter the trial with 22 minutes left to play.

I probably would have bought it, but I can't deal with timed games. The stress level is too high for me when I have to finish within a time frame. Prefer relaxing games.

I LOVE mosaic puzzles, but this one has a number of flaws. I turn off the music since I need to hear what is going on around me, but this game insists on providing me with a musical chime or two every time I add a row. Next the game is very slow to respond whether adding a square to a puzzle or clicking on a button to handle so type of game management issue. The "hot spot" on the buttons is very small compared to the size of the button and it takes multiple clicks to find the "hot spot".
I don't recommend this game.

Dark Parables: Requiem for the Forgotten Shadow
A dark illness has befallen the townspeople of Anaben!
As an owner of every Dark Parables, let me say I just bought my last one. This game meanders and it is not logical in helping the viewer to find where to go next. The HOS are fragmented as usual, but rather than cleverly hiding the fragments, it relies on tricks and gimmicks: Monochromatic scenes, hiding a fragment behind other objects with only a small corner sticking out, or very tiny fragments when the actual size is much larger. The very slow loading of scene changes is very distracting - the whole scene goes black and the viewer is left wondering whether the game has crashed or not. Whatever happened to preloading of scenes?
I am sorry to publish such a negative review, but the quality of these games has deteriorated very badly.

I played about 20 minutes of the trial. The Hint button was of no help. I was stuck and the Hint button took me to a door that was missing a doorknob. After walking around looking for a doorknob or something that I could fashion into a doorknob I was still looking. The Hint button should have shown me somewhere else that I could find that knob, but all it did was show me the door over and over. Frustration set in and I deleted the game.
I played about 10 minutes of the trial. I am intrigued by the story line, but not enough to endure endless HOS, mini-games and wandering around wondering what to do next. Sorry - deleting game as soon as I finish here.

I own all of the Dark Parables. The fragmented HOS that this series is famous for are not very well done. Some of the parts are very small or in a very dark part of the screen which requires liberal use of the Hint button. The some of the mini games are very repetitive. If you did not like the first one, you will not like the rest of them. Other mini games come with no instructions on what to do. Even after clicking on "Skip", I did not understand how to play it. The story left a lot of questions and problems did not get resolved, except the prologue said they were resolved. I am sorry I bought it. I will think long and hard before I buy another.
Why reload an old game? I have the original Jewel Match and Jewel Match 2. They were OK at the time, but that was then; this is now.
I made it through 10 minutes of the trial period, but it is not worth even a coupon. I am not sure I would download the full version, even if they called it an upgrade and offered it to everyone who already owned JM2.

so far I have only found puzzles that are 15x10 in size. I am into the second room and have not found any puzzles bigger than this. The puzzles require guesses (or hints). Good puzzles rely on logic to complete without any guess work.
