Excellent graphic. Too many puzzles compared to the hops. I liked the beginning. The gameplay in the later chapters were harder for me. Loved the Skeleton with the harp. He not only is a spokesman for using the music but is also in the main game and the bonus chapter.
Good collectibles indicator. It's lite until you find it. It has both morphs and puzzle piece indicators. Can't go back and get any you miss. Lower case i is for the strategy guide.
Has 6 chapters + bonus. It's long. Replay 8 hops, 33 mini-games, 8 cutscenes, 9 soundtracks. Has 15 wallpapers and 15 concept art.
I liked some parts and disliked some part. It's hard and doesn't flow. I still managed to finish the game but I had to put it on the shelf and play other games in between because of frustration. It took me a long time to finish it.
The best part to me is Laura's outfit. I liked the circus, the swan boat ride in tunnel of love and St. Patrick's Cathedral so I bought it. Liked the St. Patrick's hops. I liked about half the puzzles.
The strategy guide is in a inconvenient place. You have to go to the menu and then click strategy guide and then hit resume if you want to keep playing or save if you don't.
The bonus chapter is a prequel. St. Patrick's Cathedral isn't even finished being built.
It has 5 chapters + bonus. Collect 41 hidden objects and 31 morphs. You can go back and get something you missed. I used the map constantly and checked my collectibles before I moved on. It said I missed 2 morphs and I know I didn't. After the bonus chapter I went to the collections and it asked if I wanted to finish my collection. (Morphs are below the collectibles). I click on it and it brought me to a scene. I know I already had that one and it wasn't there so I clicked hint and it brought me to another scene. I clicked on the morph I already found. After you finish the morphs it had a message you have 20 levels of addition mini-game. The bonus content looked the same to me. So maybe that could be one mini-game with several levels?
The extras are 15 videos, 5 puzzle, 13 mini-games, 6 music, 11 wallpapers and 15 concept arts. Achievements. The game was just ok for me. I like other games better.
I liked the hops. They were large and full of color and not washed out. Most puzzles weren't the one's I liked except in the bonus chapter. I Loved the boat maze, playing the piano and matching pairs. The boat maze took me a little while to see how they were doing it but I got it. You have to run over the thing that needs the item. You don't grab it. When your in the boat to just change to walking you just move there.
I liked that the dummy insides were made of cloth and stuffed and I thought the Grouse is cool. Did you notice the clock in the old car? I picked the yellow dress.
I love the visual but had problems with the sound of the voices. I turned down the music and other setting but turn the voice all the way up. I could barely here the voices in some places.
You can't go back and get any collectible or morph. It has achievements. 4 chapters + bonus. Replays on 15 hops, 11 mini-games, 17 movies and 4 music. Has 9 wallpapers, 6 concept art and 5 screensavers. 26 morphing masks and 12 collectible poison and medications.
The bonus chapter is a story by the male housekeeper in the main game. I liked it.
I liked the trial enough to buy it. When I was on the later chapters I just wanted it to be over. Gameplay wasn't smooth and not enough to keep me interested. Lots of back and forth. Get this and that.
I liked the musical concept and Chinatown. I liked most hops and some puzzles. I liked the chocolate box hops. They upgraded the collectible and morph indicator which I liked. The indicator will have a gear if you need to find a morph as they are not in every scene. It will have a check mark when you find the morph. The collectible music note on the toolbar will light up when you find it. The music player on the laptop in the beginning works and I played all nine songs.
The drum hops which would have been ok if they didn't quickly disappear before you could look them over well. It was terrible. The placement of things didn't always take. You knew you needed to use a crowbar in a place but if you did it on the front it would not work. Only if you place the crowbar on the back part it would work. This happen with other things I tried to place.
The bonus chapter is what happens afterwards as the main game didn't finish the story.
The extras are 33 musical notes collectibles, 16 morphs, 4 concept art and 8 wallpapers. On the replayable 18 hops you can try to get gold medals. Replayable 18 mini-games, 8 videos and 9 music. Achievements. Souvenir Room 21 finds.
I didn't mind the pass games coloring but the teal sky is unnatural. I have sunsets with purples and pinks all the time. Never teal.
I liked most hops. I especially liked the London themed hops. The slide rule hops and the three circle hops are too puzzle like. I would have liked them if they were puzzles. I would have liked the mosaic hops without the slide rule. The mosaic part is pretty.
I liked some puzzles but I rather have more hops.
I think the secret city beings just showed a appearance and they didn't seem to be that involved after the trial. I did like some places in London that they had and I liked the University Museum and Greenhouse. The game to me is OK.
Replay 18 hops, 15 mini-games, 20 cutscenes and 5 music. You can save the 12 concept art. No Wallpapers. I would have liked the icon London places on a wallpaper. You furnish Mortymer's office with the 51 gold coins you collect. Collect 15 morphing photos with info. Collect 15 artifacts with info.
Enjoyable game. Liked the sights and sounds. I didn't have to turn any sounds down. I liked most of the hops except the portal symbol one, it had so much movement it made you dizzy. The hops had large objects so your eye weren't strained. Story had a nice twist.
Under the sea part was my favorite with a crane on the front of the ship. Liked the Blue women on hover crafts. Nice Sci-fi world. The diving machines have cool attachments that you use. Liked the mechanical bird. Clever gameplay. I didn't get bored.
Replay 16 hops and 10 music. 16 wallpapers and 12 concept art that has before and finished with slide rule. Collect 28 Mad Head symbols. You have morphs in the scenes and in the hops. Combined it's 44 morphs. 5 chapters + bonus. After you collect all the symbols click on the collection in the extras and it turns into a treasure hunt. After you finish the treasure hunt it turns into the ultimate hop that you can replay. You can try to get stars for replaying the hops. Achievements. I couldn't find the Labyrinth or Shadow puppet theater.
Wow. Phileas Hawks in Paris. Eiffel Tower, Pere' Lachaise Cemetery, Notre-Dame Cathedral and the Statue of Liberty. I would have really liked these places on my wallpaper but No they just have mostly characters.
We start out at the Magic of the World Exhibition. Our new friend Eleonore Vidocq is from our Parisian branch and she is a occult detective. The Sorbonne Universite' has some places that I really liked. The far east, Africa and America. After that I chose the Eiffel Tower first.
The hops are multi-layered with a morph in them. Only about two mini-hops. With 25 full sized ones. You have to complete a action before a hop is revealed. I really Loved the goodies wagon and the flower hops.
I liked some puzzles and I skipped some puzzles. I wanted to figure out how they did the violin and music notes puzzle and all the guide said was-Solution is random. So skip.
I missed one collectible Sun out of 35 at the agency. I could go back and get it. It only has 10 Souvenirs. It could have been more.
I didn't like the find your way through the cemetery. I had to hint my way through.
I liked all the Vermillion Watch. Especially this one and In Blood.
Has 5 Chapters+ Bonus. Find 25 hidden Sun signs. 25 morphs in the hops. Replay 25 hops, 26 puzzles, 8 video and 7 music. Only 10 Souvenirs.
The bonus chapter is in Spiritualist Alley near Notre-Dame Cathedral. It's what happens afterwards.
I didn't like most mini-games or hops. I did like the story, characters and gameplay. The trolls, the animals, the boar, flying monkeys, elf, were a good time for me. The zero skip in the custom section made the game enjoyable for me. It has way too many puzzles and most hops are puzzle like.
I like collectibles. Found 70 colorful medals to buy things for my observatory. Navigational things. The 15 scrolls and 15 morphing paintings have stuff to read on them. The morphing paintings are so small that I wasn't having a morphing feeling. They look like a wad of paper.
I would have been happier if they had a artful hop scene with a list but a acid recipe hop, slide rule hop and a circle moving finding the image hop are more like a fun puzzle. I did like the morphing hop in the bonus chapter. Most hops weren't a beautiful picture except the bird hop.
I always turn the music on low. I kept hearing a fizz sound like soda. I think it could be the eyes on the Bestiary. I turned down the environment to almost off and I could still hear it.
The main ending is heartfelt but I would have liked to have seen multiple transformations or at least one transformation. (Those who finished the game know what I'm talking about).
The bonus chapter is a prequel and it has our Evelyn before her steampunk outfits.
Replay 18 hops, 27 mini-games, 35 video and 5 music. Has 20 wallpapers and 20 concept art. Six Chapters + a long Bonus chapter.
Even with all my complaint, I still liked the game.
I liked the game. Most of the mini-games and hops weren't the ones I liked. The characters, story and game-play are what I liked about the game. The zero skip on the custom setting helped a lot in my enjoyment.
It has 6 chapters. 13 hops and 23 puzzles.
The hops were more puzzle like and I like a artful scene with a list. Slide rule hops, turning a circle for images and acid recipe hops are puzzle like. The puzzles I did like were dexterity, jigsaw, matching, wooden map, moving shards and pairs.
The ending is heartfelt and I wish it would have shown multiple or any transformations. (only people who finish the game would know what I'm talking about).
Even with all the things I didn't like, I still liked the game.
It has 5 chapters. 9 hops, 11 mini-games and 24 movies. Some hops are used more than once but I liked doing the flower hops twice. It has a nice glass window hops. Some things in the scenes are interactive for example-a rainbow, kitty and a paper boat. Special cylinders goes inside a barrel organ to tell you parts of the story.
I bought the collector's edition and with all the extras and the guide to understand some mini-games it was very fun for me.
I don't think I would like the standard edition as well. I would recommend this game in the Collector's Edition.
