This came out Nov 2016. I play as Lady Jane Bennett and I have Captain Louis as my helper. He does all the lifting and manual labor. This guy is so funny and full of himself. I am helping Queen Elizabeth squash the rumor that my mom Anne Boleyn is a witch. The rumor was started by King Henry because he was tired of this wife and wants to move on. This starts the adventure. 6 chapters + bonus chapter. I didn't get bored on this one.
I counted 15 hops in the main game and 4 in the bonus game. The hops include mini-hops. No replays on hops or mini-games and I would have liked them. It has puzzles I liked. Like throwing a ax at what's pictured on hanging sacks and moving things into the right place or colored place.
It has 31 morphs to find and it has a eye in a circle for a indicator, which is lit when found. Find gold coins used to purchase interface styles only used in the main game.
In the bonus chapter I have a hawk helper. I'm locked in the tower.
With 8 puzzles and 9 hops. It has a good balance. I liked how creepy the game is from the makers of Haunted Hotel, Halloween Stories, Surface, Mystery Trackers, Midnight Calling and Grim Tales. If you like their past games you know you will have fun in this one.
You play Rick Rogers and since this is the start you see how he gets roped in on Route SR-39. It's a ghostly tale.
I found unique characters. Some things were interesting. At times it was slow going. Love collectibles but not enough of them. Collect 11 masks, 13 scrolls and 89 coins to buy things to jazz up a room. You know they have multiply coin in most locations so you don't look 89 times for these coins. You go back and forth between playing Juliet and Romeo.
They had you weight a ingredient. They wanted 4.5 grams and you couldn't take any off. I had two-2.5, 1 and 1.5 weights. I could not figure it out and the guides instructions looked like Greek. I was so disappointed.
The hops were lovely except the story ones and they do not have replays on theses. You have 11 mini-games in the main story and 5 in the bonus, so 16 replays for the mini-games. I didn't like most of them, but I'm a hops girl. I don't care if they jazz up the story. I found parts interesting.
The bonus chapter has Juliet writing her brother Mercutio to come help her, so no duo characters in the bonus.
I would really give this a 3.5 It was in between like and ok for me.
I Loved Subject 360, the first in this series. The third Nightmare Realm I thought was OK. Have the second one, The Broken Tower but haven't play it yet. I will not be adding this one.
I dislike fool with it puzzles, cluttered hops and constant clicking the mouse puzzles. I liked the raft puzzle and that was it.
I think this is the best out three in this series. At least I could figure things out during game play. 26 mini-games and 12 hops. I'm a hops girl, so it's too puzzle heavy but I did like playing the harp and shooting arrows. 4 chapters. I was into it and got bored in the later chapters.
Try it for yourself. Of course no extras for the standard version.
Based on the completed game. I was caught up in the adventure and the mystery. I wanted to find out how the Enigmatist Club fit into the 1899 train derailment. 15 hops.
I played as Alfred Fox. There are mostly Brit accents and they yell a lot. The hops are plentiful but are cluttered and not lovely. There is garbage in the game that grossed me out. I noticed you would have nothing in your toolbox and would have to go to the next scene to hunt things up, this made it fast paced because you were searching. I didn't like the fight puzzles. The BG money was cool, it reminded me of monopoly money. I liked some mini-games. I did like the rest of the game.
Based on the trial I just finished the last one in the series hours ago. This one is so much better. I like the storyline in this one. Going back in time. I didn't mind the gadget. I think when you battle supernatural things you need equipment. The music is good in my opinion with twenty two soundtracks you aren't hearing the same thing over and over. When you check the soundtracks note that the first one is numbered zero.
It has twenty hops and twenty five puzzles in the game. I liked both hops and puzzles in this game.
I love all the CE extras Thirty one morphs. Thirty six puzzle pieces to make jigsaw puzzles. Thirty one Collectibles. I kept checking the map to see if I had a star for finding all my collectibles in the scene.
If it has replays I can't find how to access them.
I think the hops were hard and the mini-games fun and I'm a hops lover. I actually liked the mini-games more, not skipping twenty out of thirty three. It has twenty six hops and eight are from the bonus. I didn't enjoy the hops like I normally do. I don't usually use hint for hops but I did a lot in this game.
I Love the extras of a CE. You have Thirty three morphs. Thirty three collectibles and thirty six puzzle pieces that make four jigsaw puzzles. No replays. Fifteen soundtracks. Nine wallpapers, eleven art gallery and three screensavers. Achievements.
It has a gadget and I didn't mind it. The Strategy guide for some reason has Chapter 1 as living room and chapter 2 as living room, go figure. It has Six Chapters + Bonus. The main story is supernatural horror and not a feel good story. The bonus chapter is what happens after and it has a happy twist. It took me more than a hour to complete it. The eight hops in the bonus were a little easier.
When I did the trial for the CE of this game I thought too many puzzles and it does have a lot of puzzles but from Feb 18 to now June 18, (that's how long between I played it again) I found that it's a nice game well worth a coupon. It has pretty hops. I liked a few puzzles. I liked my companion dog Sheriff. I found my way around with the map. I was happy to see characters from the other games in this series because it all ties them together, like the pirate, miner and goblin. Missed the stone rooster.
My favorites from this series are The Lord of Statues, Queen of Shadows (graphic very old) and Borrowed Life in that order. I wasn't big on Legend of the Golem.
