This game is very short even including the bonus round. Once you finish the demo you are about half way through the main game. The story line is ho hum, not very interesting at all. It turned out to be very predictable. The Avenger is back, making threats and is going to kill people at the Theaters next performance. So of course you all go ahead and go on with the show, even the Director of Mystery Tracker's daughter is in the audience. Well of course she is taken and you need to save her. Oddly her dad doesn't seem all THAT concerned.
There were a handful of numeric puzzles that were a mid level challenge, but the rest of the puzzles were very elementary. PLEASE NOTE--One numeric puzzle has TWO answers, but the developers only "approved" one solution. Of course I came up with the second solution. I spent 15 or 20 minutes trying to find the error in my math only to turn to the Strategy Guide and see a different solution. BUT both ways added up correctly but only one answer will move you past the puzzle.
There are morphing objects here to collect, I did find one in every scene. You also will collect band members to create an orchestra.
If you are using a code or coupon for the game it might be worth it. But don't pay full price. The game is short, predictable, boring and has very easy puzzles.

Fellow Fishies, I bought this game based on all the five star reviews. I wish I had kept my $19.99.
In this game you are caught up in a dream world that you must escape from after you check into the Peaceful Hill Hotel. You are faced with mazes ( that are ridiculously easy to navigate), puzzles that are rudimentary and uncomplicated, adventure play that is obvious while running into the usual dolls with heads on backwards. Throughout the game an evil little girl taunts you ( an adult voice trying to sound like a child) and insists you try to become One of the Chosen and survive the maze so you can live in a perfect world or die trying. This little girl is always trying to find out what scares you the most to use it against you. I will leave the plot at that, in case you do decide to play the game I don't want to spoil the only interesting plot twist.
I did not find the main character in any way scary, just annoying. The story fell flat and did not create any excitement or interest. I just wanted it to end. I did not even play the bonus round. It is not an intense psychological thriller, creepy scenery yes, but that's it.
You have morphing objects to find in the Hidden Object scenes and swirls during regular gameplay, I did find one in every scene. ( the swirl is the logo for Mad Head games)
I am surprised this game has so many 5 star reviews, it's not even close.
I don't recommend this game.

Out of the blue you have been asked to protect Professor Kevin Reynolds right before he is to go to a benefit event. Good thing too, as it turns out he is the target of an assassination attempt. You flee with his other bodyguards and head out to a safe house (Hotel). Lo and behold this is where the professor had donated money to a failed experiment years before. Well, the professor is taken and you need to save him....
I think the story could have been a good one, it did start out compelling and I wanted to find out what happened next. That's why I bought the game but it flat lined soon after. The game does have a good creep factor and some scary bits with a more mature theme and game play for a change.
Unfortunately it can't make up for the simplistic puzzles and easy to solve tasks. I did not find any new or different puzzles and they really have some very elementary ones in this game. I did play in hardcore mode and it just wasn't a challenge. You will need to collect morphing masks and morphing objects.I didn't find them hard to locate.
It turns out this game is very short, I finished it in a few hours including the bonus round... but all that said, it is a decent game compared to what has been offered on BF over the past year or so. But this is not a 4 or 5 star game in my opinion. The graphics are great, voice overs very well done and music complements the scenes. For me a 5 star game has to be Outstanding and I didn't feel this was more than 3 stars all considered.
I have noticed over the past few weeks we have been getting better quality games and hope this is a new trend and things keep getting better.

Cartoonish graphics, not in the least scary, boring, silly story line. You get the usual claustrophobic graphics that seem to come standard with all Elephant games nowadays. The only pro's are the old style "door puzzles". If you like the door puzzles from the old Ravenhearst games you may want to play this game to work the puzzles. That is the only reason I kept playing the game. I plodded through ultra silly story lines, with UNBELIEVABLE conclusions. The game itself is easy mind numbing play, I was just wishing for it to end. Gone is the feeling of creepy isolation and working against a true evil like the first game. It is a cartoon with Mist Walkers and Magical Cutesy Deer. It strays too far into the realm of silly fantasy to keep it scary.
Ok, you have returned to Dire Grove and trust me things are bad. Its real cold, believe me everyone keeps saying so as they hang outside all the time. No one goes into a building to make a fire or anything, they just complain about how cold it is. Suddenly there are Mist Walkers who worship in the sacred grove and have lived in the woods for centuries. Well where were these wonderful people the first game? Someone has trespassed in the Sacred Grove, made the spirit of the grove angry and there must be retribution or the whole world will freeze over. You now get to go back and forth between investigating the Hunters ( people who live in Dire grove) and the Magical Mist Walkers to find out who committed this terrible deed. This could have been fun, but just became a Bore. Now we have a magical forest and you need Magical Cutesy Deer. The bonus game was so silly, an old friend pops up again. I will leave it at that.

I played the demo for about 45 minutes. I was so bored with the story and the laborious way it unfolded, I just gave up. Graphics are great, but I need more than eye candy. There is a great deal of talking in this game, and it interrupted the flow of the story to the point I got annoyed with it.
You are a detective who has been contacted for help by Leonardo da Vinci. There is a wicked mage in town who is using stage tricks/mirrors to make the towns folk think he is truly magical. He has taken over power and is now trying to take over Italy. The mage has turned Leonardo da Vinci into public enemy #1 and stolen many of Leonardo's sketches, including some for military machines. The mage wants to destroy all art and free thinking. Even da Vinci's own assistant has joined in the fight against him.
The story has some possibilities but it moved awkwardly and felt disjointed.
On to Puzzles -
NOW the puzzles I played DID have an option to play in casual OR hard mode. YEAH!!
Maybe someone finally read one of my past complaints!
I was thinking YES!, harder puzzles for expert players...but... they still were not complex even in hard mode, sighs.
The game does give facts/real information about da Vinci's works and achievements throughout the game.
Keep an eye out for coins to collect.
Sorry to say, this game is a no go for me. I found it boring and did not like it.
I don't recommend this game.

Review of Demo in Hard Mode - Review is for Expert Players
OK game for novice players
Not for Expert Players -It seems there never is anymore
Graphics, music and voice overs are well done. Storyline is interesting but the HOS are elementary, simplistic, and boring. This game play is super easy. I finished the 90 minute demo in about 50 minutes.
You will need to collect Windmills -not the whole structure, just the blades that turn- I did find one on every scene in the demo except the carriage.
Demo ran fine on my PC, I did not run into any problems.
Sum up - I found it boring
I don't recommend this game.

Thank you for a decent game for a change!, if a bit short.
Opening scene is GREAT, I wish they would make a game using that!
This game is a tad short and the puzzles are low intermediate but it gives you good game play. The game flows well and you get lovely music, really nice graphics and interactive hidden object scenes. It is not very challenging but at least it has a decent story line. I played in hard mode, it was not terrible difficult at all for an expert player, but did make me think.
You do have semi morphing objects to find. I called them possessed/ghost items. That is the best way I can think to describe them. They will have a dark cloud over them.
Give the demo a try
GREAT GAME For Intermediate or Novice
I recommend this game!

ERS what is going on! I did not make it through the demo!
I just could not force myself to see if the game would improve. It was a mess. The story is badly though out.
The graphics were ok, but a bit on the cartoonish side for me. This is a Hidden Object game but there were hardly any Hidden Object Scenes.
The problem for me was the story itself, it did not make any sense.Things started going downhill for me after the Deputy tells you the current sheriff went missing after he retired. In the very next sentence he tells you the sheriff's wife reported him missing when he did not come home from work at the police station.
-Oh Boy, You know you're in trouble, they were not thinking too hard on the story line.
The game is about a town in Canada that was founded by Vikings at one point and in myth if anyone steals their hidden treasure an evil spirit will cause storms to punish the thief. Well, you're the new sheriff in town and guess what, there's a storm on way to your new job. Guess somebody found the goods.
You will also find rune stones to help you learn old adages, -Like don't rub salt in a wound-but they do not help with the game. You also get a magical devise to find bad energy/spirits. It's kinda boring, just scan over the scene until you find the purple glowing cloud.
Not a challenge, disjointed and the extras- like runes and magical devises- just seemed half thought out.
Pass
I don't recommend this game.

Review more for Expert Players
I don't know where to begin. The other one star reviews hit it right on the head. This game is mind numbing simplistic, silly story line, too much talking, achievements for every little thing. Your finish a HOS you get an achievement. It is so dumbed down. The puzzles are insultingly easy. The graphics are good, voice overs are pro and painfully abundant. Ever other scene it talking and talking. Even on hard mode it holds your hand. The story just jumps from here to there, constantly. I miss the old Puppet Show.
Big Fish where have all the challenging adult games gone? Why is everything now for children?
Graphics - Good
Story - Silly
Voice overs - Pro and abundant
No Challenge for Expert Players
I don't recommend this game.

Review of demo in hard mode
Review more for expert players
I am keeping this short, as I am running out of ways to rate yet another mediocre game.
This game was no fun. It just kept showing me cut scene after cut scene. Talking and talking, the screen would zoom here, whiz over there. I didn't feel like I was playing a game. More like watching a movie that needed input from me from time to time. The graphics are well done but lean to the pastels. Not a problem just wanted to let you know.
You will need to collect Remembrance Flowers.
I couldn't force myself to finish the demo.
Sum up
Graphics - Very Nice
Voice overs - Pro
Music - OK
Storyline - Boring
Puzzles - elementary
Maybe ok for Novice
Expert players - I think you may become bored quickly
I don't recommend this game.
